Hello to everyone! I've just finished a long overdue commission and want you all to know that I'm still out there writing, albeit laboring under a lot of RL insanity that has made progress much slower than I would like. January Transformation FanFic Commission Slot Open!

Howdy folks!

I’m going to open up ONE new commission slot for the month of January based on the theme of ‘Transformation Fanfic’. I’m looking to take an idea based on something big and popular like ‘Pokemon’, ‘Jurassic Park’ or the like. 1. 'Chocobo Paradise Island & Resort'
Themes: MtF, oviposition, chocobo TF
Two straight college couples elect to spend a week of summer vacationing at a secluded island after being offered an amazing bargain, only to find the resort has very strange ideas of how humans should relax...

- The couples enjoy their first day by taking in the sun on the beach, hiking in the densely forested island interior, and taking chocobo rides around the lazy tropical town. Though the food is pricey for their strapped budgets, the students thoroughly enjoy the resort's impressive, complimentary salad bar.

- The next day, a waiter at their hotel offers them a tour of the chocobo stables while they scarf down a hearty vegetarian breakfast. Accepting the invitation, the four of them set off for the stables, meeting a very strange woman who introduces herself as their guide. Her unclothed lower half is that of a chocobo, and a male one at that-!

The eight guards transform into a colorful set of green and red drakes, and after a short bout of transformation-fueled rutting, the new reindrakes are hitched up to the kobold’s sleigh. Koboldmass eve begins!

- Every household in the hamlet recieves a surprise visit that night, leaving behind well-wrapped presents for all the adult residents and couples to enjoy. Of course, each hand-crafted set of dragon dildos is cleverly impregnated with a reservoir of alchemically-distlled kobold spooge- set to go off after enough solid thrusts- capable of turning the cheerful user into a kobold themselves.

6. Roadways and Raptors

- However, he decides to ensure the young man will be useful and safe by slipping a ton of potions into his meals as they travel away from civilization to enhance his strength, stamina, agility, intelligence and so and and so forth. Unfortunately for the alchemist, his eager apprentice gets the same idea and starts sneaking elixirs himself during the night. Eventually the interactions between the different potions transform the young man into a bestial, scaly, confused dire raptor.

- The alchemist finds this turn of events funny as all hell, and consider’s the boy’s transformation as it’s own punishment for his disobedience and thievery. The raptor makes a very useful mount as well as a deadly companion, so much so the alchemist wonders if he shouldn’t have thought of the idea himself in the first place.

- The twp are thrown into peril deep in the jungle, when they are ambushed by a trio of lizardfolk including a shaman. The shaman charms the transformed raptor with a spell and turns him on his master, capturing the two of them.

- Back at the lizardfolk’s camp, the alchemist awakens in a cage with his apprentice tied up on a chain nearby. He overhears the lizards planning to sell the ‘beautiful’ raptor off in exhange for a heft sum of gold. The two make good their escape when the raptor mixes up an acid from the packs hanging on his scaly flanks, freeing his master soon after and fleeing. The clever and dexterous escape impresses the master with his young apprentice’s worth.

- The two go on to successfully complete their quest, and form a bond of camaraderie.

- One night, after saving a town from an orcish invasion, the inn actually lets the raptor inside a room instead of the stables. At first he tries to snuggle his huge, scaly body under the covers to be silly and playful, but it slowly dawns on the transformed young man that his virgin dinosaur body is virile and starved for sexual attention. - The story begins in medias res, our four heroes confronting the evil warlock lord in his castle. Right before the battle begins between the four and the forces of darkness, they unveil the magic diadems they recently secured from a long-forgotten tomb.

- Nonplussed, the warlock decides to watch and wait. He vaguely recalls seeing similar magic before, but not like this. Ridiculing the heroes, he instructs them they are, in fact, putting tiaras on their heads. “Are not!” “What’s the difference between them anyway?”

- In a blaze of light and magical energy, each of the heroes undergo a dramatic transformation. One hero changes into a naga, the second into a white-feathered eagle harpygirl, the third into a full-blown dragonness and the fourth into a nine-tailed foxgirl.

- The feminized, transformed heroes, the warlock, and his minions are totally floored by what just happened. The warlock tries to figure out what in the hell kind of magic they were using. Some of the minions think the results are hilarious; others are afraid of facing down a dragon in close quarters. The heroes are themselves extremely confused, disoriented, and dealing with body parts and feelings that are a hundred percent totally weird. They fight back against the warlock’s minion’s ineffectually.

- The evil warlock, himself a lonely social outcast and actually still a virgin despite being in his late 30s and having *cultists*, is just as confused as the heroes (if not more so). His all-male minions, after easily knocking the weapons from the heroes’ hands, rapidly lose the will to fight and find themselves growing bestial boners.

- Taking the initiative, the plucky heroes seduce their enemies, while the dragon amoung them number pins the warlock down against her huge, scaly pussy. After a lengthy orgy, the heroes capture the bad guys, turn them in, and treat themselves to long, luxurious baths and contraceptive magic while they try and figure out what to do with themselves now.

- Their short-term decision is a hot lesbian orgy between the four of them.


8. 'Jurrasex Park'
Themes: Allosaurs, CTF, straight-to-gay


- The three scientists (two men and one woman) working on the dinosaur breeding program notice unusual activity in the creature’s genelines after a prehistoric retrovirus runs amok on the island. While it only seemed to give the dinosaurs flu-like symptoms, the scientists suspect something else could be going on. Making matters worse, another sort of virus- a computer virus- is playing havok with the park security systems.

- The three travel to the Allosaur grounds, one of the areas hardest hit by the virus. They arrive at the site only to find the main gate wide open and the park rangers nowhere in sight. They sedate a dinosaur with a sedative-laced sheep, but on their way to take a blood sample they hear cries for help from the jungle

- Fearing the worst, two of the scientists set off together while the third goes to radio for help, finding their colleague lying prone on the ground just inside a thicket of jungle. He tries to warn his friends off, but before they can talk further a pack of allosaurs ambush them. To their horror and confusion, the scientists discover the lost ranger had been merged into the crotch of an allosaur-!

- Human from the waist up and connected to the dinosaur’s genital slit, the poor ranger explains that something happened shortly after the Allyosaurs seemed to recover from their flu; they all became incredibly horny and started growing penises, changing from female to male. Though their dicks seemed to be, relatively speaking, small, the rangers didn’t have time to report the odd development before the security systems crashed and they were set upon by the horny dinos... an experience the two scientists soon get to share.

What is CTF, might you ask? Well, probably not considering where you are reading this review, but just in case any of y’all have missed the boat/train/ect. If you’ve read this far, you should probably buy it. Anybody who reads this much of a CTF story *review* is going to like ‘Fitting In’ ^_^

Without giving away too many details, over the course of the five post-intro chapters a huge number of furries are transformed into snake-dicks in a literal orgy of snakecockification, that covers the gamut of genders, sexualities and pairings in a vivid variety of vivacious scenes that range from sweet couples intimately conjoining and cumming to fetish scenes that are straight out of a sexy and tasteful rendition of a cronenberg film. Howdy folks! I’ve been rather happy with my last few commission / trade pieces. While they were all quite fun and rewarding to do in their own ways, I’m thinking about setting my sights a bit higher for a new project. Specifically, I’ve been thinking about writing an anthology of short-medium sized stories of my very best material, and then selling it as a .pdf or something. Right now I’m thinking 4-6 stories in the ballpark of 6,000-20,000 words apiece- with varying themes and erotic content- for $3-$6 depending on how big the final product is.

My question to you all is, would you have any interest in a collection like this? And if so, what would you all like to see in it?

I’ve been musing about possible content a lot. I’ve considered:

I hope the approaching holiday season finds you all looking forward to enjoying the company of good friends and family and all that good stuff. I figure now is a good time to do some rumination on writing, and talk about where I’m at and where I’m going. I’ve been writing for a little while now (over three years and 50-odd stories!), long enough that I feel comfortable looking back and trying to draw some lessons from experience. Partially this is for my own benefit, but I hope some aspiring or active writers can find something here to relate to.

Most of my stories begin as a single coherent idea from which everything else grows. I have more stories that exist only as ideas or shattered word files than I’d care to admit, including 3-4 stories that are big enough to be worth calling ‘unfinished’. There are usually two distinct failure modes:

1. The original idea wasn’t good enough for a story.
2. The idea was good, but the execution was poor.

#1 is disappointing but ultimately unavoidable. I usually get the feeling before the first or second big chunk is complete that the story isn’t interesting or doesn’t have any good place to go, and that is always a huge red flag. If the idea isn’t interesting to it’s *author* you have a pretty good idea of what your *audience* is going to make of it. But moreover, forcing boring and uninspired writing is slow and painful work, and the end product is almost always dull, confused, desultory or worse. Sometimes you can surprise yourself writing the idea into places you never thought it would go, but after it’s withered on the vine for a few days the best thing to do is cull it and start on something fresh.

#2 is way more complicated.

It’s always easy to *feel* the possibilities a really good idea might spawn, but the process of choosing and executing the burdensome details is where a story really thrives or dies. A surfeit of enticing possibilities can asphyxiate writing as easily as a dearth of them. There is a really fiendish art to knowing when to stop thinking about possibilities and choose one that works, but it is so important to KEEP WRITING when you’re working on a story that I find it supersedes almost all other concerns. If you aren’t happy with a section this can be tough to swallow, but it’s absurd to let an otherwise good story die for the sake of one or two parts. Think about your favorite movies or books or games and I’m sure you can come with a few things that could be improved (sometime drastically!), but whatever those flaws are they haven’t kept it from being your favorites, right?

Leonardo da Vinci once said that art is never finished, only abandoned. Sooner or later whatever you make has to leave your hands and be judged (and hopefully enjoyed) by the public. But the proper time to nitpick is NOT when you’re in the process of writing- it’s during editing, once you’ve got a coherent whole in your hands. The most important thing to do when you have an idea burning its way through your synapses is to hold onto it and give it life, and worry about the finer details later.

Another important point: it is impossible to work with interruptions. That’s just something you have to deal with before you can write. This does not just mean your parents / roommates / friends butting in when you’re trying to work but the things you do to interrupt yourself (facebook / FA / vidya games / ect.)

Anyway I am a terrible horrible no-good procrastinator and I’m open to any advice y’all might have.

Stuff I’m working on in no particular order:

1. ‘Release Day’ – ‘Beta Test’ sequel; much the same as the original story but far grander. I’ve been collecting ideas for this for some time now, but I just began the writing proper.

2. ‘Transcendence’ – Old commission, sci-fi / future with really heavy transhumanist sociological / philosophical themes. I spent a decent chunk of time working on this over the summer that pushed it up into the 40k range but kept hitting stalls. Nonetheless, the commissioner had a really good idea and I really want to do justice to it. I’m going to finish this if it kills me :P

4. Short dragon-y story for  Foulfrost

- I’ve also struck upon an idea for a larger piece, an anthology of stories set around the same time in the same continuity. I’m somewhat ambivalent about my ability to write something in the right word range, but I suspect that breaking it up into a series of loosely interconnected tales would keep things fresh and interesting long enough. The core of the idea is a near-future timeline in which transgenetic technology has just been introduced, and the resultant effects on society as seen through the lives of a few representative individuals and a few extraordinary ones.

- Somewhat considering offering a single commission slot in the medium (10k) range. The range thing is just a guess- the last commission I did was ‘Black Oath’ and my original target was 6k... that turned into 15k. I’d probably ask about $50, but be willing to trade for a good piece of art or a story, in any case : >

Hope 2012 is treating everyone well so far! I’m getting to be pretty busy with my, er, more legitimate writing for the next few months; till summer at least. I’ve a few smaller fun pieces I’ll put out during the time, but only one larger piece (a commission with lots of sci-fi / philosophical themes :>) On the side, I’ve been working on and off on a longer ‘fun’ piece featuring some of my friends, part II of ‘Beta Test’ and a few story collaborations with my friends and  Sovandar- those mostly TF-related, of course :>. I’ve also been considering trying my hand at some more ‘traditional’ romantic /sexual writing at some point- probably short and experimental porn pieces between cute young males with scales… :)

Anyway, I like to keep my journals nice short and descriptive, but maybe it would be more fun to branch out a bit? Does anyone have any writing-related or quasi-personal questions they’d like to ask? Story ideas to riff off of? Something they think I should see or read..?

Summer has been busy busy busy for me, but I've been able to find a bit of time for scaly stuff :). Have another commission on the way, more edited already-done story collaborations with Sovandar, and a semi-secret project that you might hear more about in the future :>. Well! Been really busy the last few months, but nice and productive in my non-writing endeavors! But even though I haven’t managed much writing time, I do have a slew of stories and projects (mostly collaborative) in the pipeline. These will be going up as they get finished, probably at a slow and steady rate. Themes vary from short, moderately-vanilla gay stuff with birds and scalies to a longer, more story-driven collaborative project I’m really proud of (and, heh, one or two CTF pieces as well =>---< ).

It was pretty fun to write for him; it can be a real mindbender to try and get into the perspective of someone’s character. That said, I think I might take another commission sometime soon. I’m going to do this in a fairly informal manner, mostly because I’m a little too busy to set a definitive timeframe. I’d like to write something short and gay; TF would be a big plus, but not required. Since I’m not really doing this for the money, cost is negotiable and I’d be more willing to take art or something similar in lieu of cash. Another thing I’d want to hear some feedback on is an idea I have for a TF-story contest of a sort. The hypnosis contest that  Zsisron ran last summer catalyzed a lot of really good writing, and I’d be happy to help with something similar for us TF-fans :D. It’s something I’ve been mulling around in my head for some time now, but I’m not sure on the proper inducement or structure. Conceptually, I’m thinking of a summer-long contest with a high quality bit of art or a bunch of Steam games as a grand prize...

Games worth buying: Fate of the World, SpaceChem & Portal 2. All three of these are fantastic and available on steam. FotW puts you in charge of combating climate change while maintaining human development, technological progress and economic stability. It is really, really, really hard… but victory is oh-so satisfying, and after the Earth Day patch has a much more forgiving learning curve and works off a really neat and fairly sophisticated geostrategic model. SpaceChem is a game where you build nanomachines to do chemistry; it is part puzzle game, part computer science homework, part sci-fi novel, and incredibly fun. It’s also ball-crunching hard on the later levels… not that you can’t waste hours optimizing simple machines on the easy levels! Portal 2… well, it delivers. It has all the charm and dark humor of the original with awesome new characters and gameplay innovations. [Mini-spoiler: best end scene since the Omega relay part of Mass Effect 2!]
