I went to the dentist this morning. As I presumed, my insurance won't cover dental implants. After she examined me, she determined implants wouldn't work in my situation; where teeth used to be, there's all gum and no bone remaining. I'll know in two weeks whether I can get a metal plate with my coverage.

Meantime, my mom's back at Downstate Medical Center. After much procrastinating, she's finally getting hip surgery. Not sure how long she'll be there, so I'll mind the store while she recovers.

I just learned when I see the dentist for tooth replacement (hopefully dental implants and not a plate), my mom's going in for hip surgery the same day. I haven't seen her look this worried in a while. Not sure how long she'll be holed up in the hospital. Come April 9th, I'm scheduled to see another doctor for varicose veins. Since being discharged from the Army, my left leg's been giving me problems. On some days, my foot would blow up like a balloon. And when it's cold out, I get a long line of constant pain from my hip to my ankle; that could be sciatica but I'm not sure.

RIP Leonard Nimoy.

Wow, that was quick! A year ago today, I got my FA back. Without  jimbear's help, I still would've been lost in the sauce.

Guess what? SCORE! I booked a single room there, and managed to reserve the Wednesday barely two minutes before Wednesday was completely sold out.

Looks like this one's gonna be a doozy! To all furs in the northeast: if you have anywhere to go this week, DON'T. Stay home; I sure as fuck am. We expect 2 (maybe 3) feet of snow by the time this is over. Winds expected to gust 50-60 MPH.

WHEW! Had a good time at the first  furpocalypse. The weather this weekend was dank, cold and windy. Got to meet up with  tbfm,  flashtwolf,  mx5madness,  baronvonjackal and many others.

I scored commissions from  wfa (was awesome meeting her again) and  tygurstar, and said hello to  sciggles at her table. Enjoyed some good food and tried out the Dunkin Donuts pumpkin pie donut as  hyperfalcon suggested.

All in all, a good con that ended too soon.

Hopefully the piling bodies of furs suffering from FA withdrawal will eventually dwindle. Proof positive you don't know what you got until you lose it.

I say bring back those classic Saturday morning cartoon marathons! Saturday was THE day for me when I was a kid. I remember how sad and lonely I felt when 12:30pm arrived, once the block ended and I would have to wait till next Saturday to do it all again.

I hope  furpocalypse will continue the Saturday cartoon tradition  furfright used to have. I know  flashtwolf likes that, too.

Returned to the VA Hospital this morning, had breakfast at the canteen, then went to Dermatology. Had a third lesion removed, this time from my face. Then I needed an excision done on my left leg. They fucking carved me like a pumpkin! :P Got 8 stitches that need removal in 2 weeks.

I got more holes in me than Swiss cheese. JEEZ! XD

Whew! Went back to the VA today and yesterday. This morning I had another lesion removed. Got home just before 12 Noon.

Hopefully the rest of this week will be more relaxing.

....what a crazy fucking day!! Just returned from the Veterans Hospital all wound up. I'm sipping some Keurig hot cocoa while typing this. Got the stitches removed from my scalp and had another examination. Dr. Glick gave me the news: good news is the lesion and the mole were not cancerous. However, lab results for my penis determined I contracted http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex_virus I threw out all my bathroom towels. The shock hasn't sunk in yet.

On the bus ride home, I learned of the deaths of  skunkworks and Joan Rivers, and the long-overdue conviction of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. My head is spinning!
