I can't believe it's been 4 years since I've been on here. a lot has happened within those 4 years, my surgery went well as I am typing this and I've been to a lot of Cons, Furpoc and a Comicon. I found a VRC (VRChat) group and have been hanging out around them a lot for about 3 years now, but i decided to take a trip down memory lane on this cold December third. It feels odd logging back in and yet it feels like I never left. I can't express into words how much I've missed this place and wish at times I never left but I needed a break. Time to let my scars heal and my head clear, I have some friends that helped me along the way, (you know who you are) but I think the time has finally come to come back and start over again, so let me start by saying hello, my Name is Arco, it's nice to meet you.

Well I got news for you, as you can tell by the subject I'm having more surgery...this time it's on my spine. It will be on the 7th of March at Yale New Haven hospital in CT. If you want to come visit me drop me a line here in this journal or on my telegram arcowolx I'll be in the hospital for about 4 days after the procedure is done.

It's been along time since I've been on here and it feels good to be back. I'll try my best to upload photo's I've taken and art i have received when i can. My life and work have been hectic and it was hard for me to get into state of mind to go on here and review everything. I hope that none of you are mad at me for diapering off the face of the earth, those that have my twitter, telegram and whatever other media i have you on ( lol) know this is not true.

Holy cow ..where dose the time go. Well as the title states I'm another year older. That's right I'm turing 27 tomorrow. I honestly can't even fathom how fast this year went by. A lot has happened with in the past year.

I'd just like to take a sec to reflect on them:
I graduated college, had major and very needed heart surgery, visited my mom in Florida and I was very lucky to be able to go to Anthrocon for the first time. It was a blast. More on that later.

Though I've grown older I don't known if I've grow wiser. I mean I know a lot more then I did and I have learned from past mistakes so if that it what growing wiser mean then I guess I have. Well that's all I have to say for now.Thank you all for being other through it all and being great friends.

Wow I can't believe that it's been a month since my surgery already. It just astonishes me how they can do this (what seems like) a massive surgery and send you home a few days later. i went in for surgery on April 18th and was released on monday the 22nd. i still can't wrap my head around how fast I'm healing.

For those that saw me during the May fur meet and have been in contact with me know that I'm doing well. i wanted to thank those who signed my "heart pillow". It really means a lot to me. i will try to post a picture of it if i can.

I'm will be leaving for Florida in few days. Don't worry it's only a mini vacation granted to me by my mom and grandma. I will definitely be at the June meet and hopefully be back to work mid june as well.

Hello everyone, I wanted to thank you all for your support these past few days. as the date draws near for my surgery I have been thinking about it a lot (as would anyone) I have also been extremely busy with work and teachers assisting which left me no time to post or be active on FA at all.

but I digress. as you all know I am going under next week ( Thursday the 18th) at 6a.m. the surgery is at 9a.m. and is approximately 2-4 hours. If you would like to be there you can text me at ( 203-917-7496 ) just be sure to let me know who it is. I will let the desk know you are a friend, In would need to know by Monday or the day of the surgery if you are going to be there.

If you can't make it the day of I will be there for 4-5 days after if you would like too visit then.

Update: Going in for my pre op appointment today..
Update: appointment went well and I'm all set.

So as some of you may know (and for those that don’t) I have what’s known as pulmonary stenos is. (Aka a bad pulmonary valve) The good news is that I had it removed when I was very young (its the only valve in your heart that you can live without), the bad news is that over time the pulmonary ventricle has become enlarged…so I might have to have surgery to replace the missing valve.

Unfortunately the symptoms of this enlarged ventricle are kidney and liver failure. I have had tests done to find out if my liver and kidney are ok for now, if they are I may not need surgery right away. I have also had tests done to find out the size of the enlarged ventricle (quote from doctor: ”My valve opening is 196, the normal is 90 and the cutoff point for needing surgery is 90-160 ). But for now its a waiting game and its making me nervous as hell.

I would love to have a normal life, being able to run or walk up stairs without having to wait as my heart stops racing and I have to catch my breath would be fantastic. On the other hand it is open heart surgery and no matter how you look at it the risks are still there. Yale hospital may do this procedure 2 to 3 times a month but its still a very risky procedure. I would only be in the hospital for 4 days and total recovery time would be 2 weeks.

I can't thank you all enough for all the support you have given me, it's difficult to wright down exactly what is going on with the updates being as the waiting game is a major factor but i wanted to thank you all for sticking by me and seeing how i'm feeling.

It has me worried and I know I have the support of my close friends  duff_the_jackal  vainvurxof  kittyswish  fuzzlynx (to name a few) and my family to help me through this. I will be updating my https://twitter.com/arco_facts as the time gets closer, so make sure to watch that. I will also be updating THIS journal entry when I know more from the doctor.

Update: My liver and kidney are fine so no risk there.

Update two: I'm thinking of going for surgery the first or second week of April. ( I will make the April RHFM) I will make this announcement and any other updates I find out from the doctor for those that don't follow me on FA or Twitter.

Update Three: So I have been having some chest pains recently so today i put a call into the surgeons to see if i can get that consultations for surgery. now it's just a waiting game to see when i can go in.

Major update The surgeons finally got back to me today and i have and appointment with them tomorrow to discuss my surgery. I will let everyone know what happened tomorrow evening.

Well I finally graduated my second college (well three weeks ago) and I have started my TA (Teachers Assistant) program for IT. I am planning on going for my A+ compita certification but that's later.

Today was my first day of teaching the class a chapter in hardware and you what I actually really like it. In fact I liked it so much that I might actually peruse it as carrier. I feel at home in a classroom which is understandable given that my mother was a teacher. I’m currently in search of a job besides the one I currently have (CTS). Not much ells to update but there will be another post soon, I just have to collect my thoughts on how to wright it.

I have loads of pictures and a few badges to go through and scan but due to storm conditions I cannot upload anything. I'm running a generator for power and using my phone for to wright this post. As soon as I get back online fully I will be uploading and scanning like mad. ( some might be uploaded by phone.)

Well that about it for me, I did survive the storm with no damage to my home but we have plenty of wood for fires now ;) well I must be off for more charging.

Having a blast here at Furfright when all of a sudden the back of my leg start to swell and I get told that I tore my right ACL. But I am I gonna let this ruin this very awesome convention...no I'm going to grin and bear it and have the best time of my life. ^_^


Update: Feeling a lot better turns out to only be muscular and not ligament damage. Vary happy about that.

As many of you know already from my Twitter/Facebook feed (if you read it and or have it) then you know that I have been worried about a serious matter the last few days. I have a swollen lymph node under my right arm.

I do have a history of Lymphoma in my family so I was kinda worried. So I went to the doctor to see why this thing was swollen. He was going to do a biopsy but I remembered a few weeks ago I got bitten by a stray kitten. So he took some blood and diagnosed that it might be Cat Scratch Fever.(yes like the song). Sufficed to say I am utterly relieved that it is not what I thought it was.
I'm going to get the blood test results back in about ten days to see what it really is.

There are already lines....sure is a Saturday....and even before my shift starts I get a customer asking my a question....... wonderful. I can tell today is just going to be one of those days.

Have to say that this was a awesome weekend hanging with , , fowxx, Dav, and Revka. Sadly it had to end so soon but hey I got to spend my birthday with my two long time friends and honestly who could ask for anything more then that. We also saw The Dark Knight Rises witch was epic to say the least.

I can't wait to do this again soon. ^_^

So this Friday Duff_The_jackal and I are taking a trip to meet a good friend of ours. This weekend I will also be turning the "old" age of 26.(woo) I'm am glad that I will be spending it with my friends though. I'llbe back next week with pics and such . Later.

Hello the from the depths of the classroom (5 student class) as you may or may not know I have started college once again, witch means lots of studying but that won't stop me from attending any meets. What will stop me is my job. As of late I have not been getting the hours I so desperately want, but I'm saving up what little I can so that I can attend. I'm also saving up for what I'm hoping to be my first con. Yup I'm saving up for furfright :) I know furfright is not for a few months so I should be good. Anyway that it for now just though I'd keep my followers updated. By for now .

Well as you can tell from the title i have a new job.( well as of last year around November) It's not one that i would like to have and it's not one I'm vary proud to say i have but it's a job none the less ( General Service Associate or GSA) ( haha yes i know the acronym stands for some other thing) and i happy to have it. I know this is a late update and i know a lot of you don't really care about journal updates. but i just felt like posting so many of you did not think i died or something.

oh well tomorrow is valentines day and I may be hanging with friends or running errands by myself.
