Ranting for fellow Overwatch players/RDR2/MFF/AMA
Posted 7 years agoWhat's up ya'll? First journal since...August? So it's time to do a bit of catching up with some topics that are relevant to me.
As many of my long time watchers may have noticed, I am an avid fan of Overwatch and it's lore. And I'll touch on why I just said "fan" in a second.
I've gotten multiple pieces of art with my hoss dressed as McCree, that of which I main whenever I play. But...playing is something I haven't really done much recently sorry to say.
Reason being is because I feel as though Overwatch has taken a turn for the more...toxic I could say? That's about the only work I can come up for it. And by that I mean the teams I get on suck and OP characters abound. And not only OP character like Brig Lesnar (Brigitti) but the OG characters that have had syringes stabbed into their ass and pumped full of roids till it's flowing from their ears from the buffs they've received.
For one, DVA. Why in the fuck should she be able to shoot missiles through her Defense Matrix? Easy answer...she shouldn't. That's as bad as an idea as the original concept for Bastion, that of which had him having a shield in turret mode when he sat down. Same character, different gripe. Why'd they take away her ability to be killed by her own ult? Tracer can still be killed by her gernade, so it only seems fair to keep it where if DVA is remotely close to her going nuclear mech she either die or be damaged by it. All they've done is promote trash DVA players to run into a secured point, run around doing as much damage as possible, then nuke their mech as soon as it hits zero health, then as every person from the team scatter to get out of there, she just stands on the point capping and shooting at those running away. What they've done is take the skill and timing out of nuking her mech, instead dumbing it down so a second grader with decent hand eye coordination can do good as her.
Second character, and I say this as someone who's played him a decent amount, is Junkrat. Why a second concussion mine?...Why? Yes it's cool to double jump with it, but there it no real need for two if you're a good Junkrat.
Third character is Hanzo, of course. My question is...why does he have to be so powerful?...Why? There's no need, and it encourages those who could be a tank or healer not to play. That's also another point I'll get too later. But the reason I ask why is he so powerful is because he is! Take for example another character that's roughly the same play wise which is McCree.
Single shot crit kill possibility:
Hanzo: Yes
McCree: No
Ult can pass through solid objects and kill on the other side:
Hanzo: Yes
McCree: No
Has an ability which allows him to see others through walls:
Hanzo: Yes
McCree: No
Can scale obstacles to obtain better vantage points:
Hanzo: Yes
McCree: No
And looking at that, you'd think "But they're different characters!" That of which they are, but when you see that both of which have a single fire feature as well as a multifire function, but only one really has a reload, you can see the lines start to skew. Now correct me if I'm wrong (not at all a Hanzo player,) but there is no real reload for Hanzo. Just shoot and pull and arrow back, Over and over again. McCree actually has to stop, reload, and start firing again, giving him a moment of vulnerability. Unlike Hanzo that just hits an auto-arrow function usually killing what ever is close to him because his fucking hitbox is seven miles wide. In my opinion, yes, go ahead and have him powerful as shit at distance. But...he should be a for sure kill if you're breathing down his back. None of this 180 arrow spam bullshit.
Character four is Brigitte. Not much needs to be said though, because I'm sure everyone who's played since her adding knows how OP she is. And if you don't think she is, than you're probably a Brigitte main and are one of the OP people.
Finally, character five. Orisa. I understand, she's an anchor tank. But her shield should not be able to recharge that quickly. Or rather yet, have it charge as quick, but only regenerate after the shield she put down before gets destroyed. It's kind of breaking a giant middle finger off into Reinhardt's ass having her shield be able to do that on the fly. It kind of renders Reinhardt unpreferred seeing as his shield only regenerates once down and he only has a hammer rather than a fucking LMG arm.
Wish all these buffs, where's the ones for the characters that need it? Like Winston and Reinhardt. Poor fellas need some rewords and updates BAD to help them out. Never mind the stupid character that got the shit buffed out of them like Symmetra and Torbjorn, wasn't any need for it!
So far the most balanced character they've released is Hamtaro. (Wrecking Ball/Hammond.)
But, touching back onto the points I mentioned earlier, that being a fan rather than a player and how character's like Hanzo take up an opportune spot for a useful character.
I call myself a fan now because I don't play it much anymore but still like. For example, I fired it up a couple nights ago to partake in some of the Halloween events going on, and even played some multiplayer games...and was kind of put off at how many OP characters there were and how they were abused.
In the same vein, my teammates never choose any of those OP characters. I guarantee you that in every game I played there was someone playing Widowmaker, Hanzo, or both on my team. Attacking. Defending. Didn't make a difference. And they always sucked cock. I ended up having to play my other mains like Bastion, Reaper, and Soldier 76 just so I could get SOME kind of healing during a game because they didn't want to be something helpful.
If you're looking for a game to get a "wicked montage shot" on then play Call of Duty. Overwatch is not a place for mouth breathers like you ruining a good time for people trying to PTFO.
Now that-that rant is over, onto the next subject.
Red Dead Redemption 2...
Oh how I've longed...Oh how I've waited...And if you follow me on Twitter then you've already seen how hype I am for this game.
As of the moment I am casually playing back through the original Red Dead Redemption, kind of "getting back in the saddle" you could say. And with my new 4K setup consisting of a 43 inch Vizio and Xbox One X, it looks better than I remember...for a game that's eight plus years old, it holds up and even out does most games made in the past year.
And with what I've heard about RDR2...it sounds like it's gonna be so much better in so many ways.
Though where's the fir without the flame?
I've heard blurbs about people wanting to boycott it's release because of the stress and strain Rockstar has put on it's employees to churn this game out.
To this I have one thing to say.
Eight plus years I've waited for this game...and with it pre ordered, a whole new gaming set up put together, as well as my eager anticipation which has waited patiently for roughly three years since it was first announced...I'm not sorry to say I will not boycott, but rather support them.
Because with what little I have to look forward to in life...I'm not gonna turn this away.
With that rambling, next subject.
MFF! That being Midwest FurFest for anyone not accustomed to con going in the furry fandom.
Am I going? Yes, I should be baring anything from happening. Already registered, already got a hotel room, already got roomies picked out. But that will be more in detail later on when I do a post dedicated to MFF.
Though I would like to hear if anyone reading this might be going.
And finally, an AMA, or ask me anything.
I've never really done one before but I'm curious to see of there's any questions my watchers have. If so, drop it below and I'll get to you when I can.
Hope this wasn't as painstaking to read as it was to type. Now, I'm gonna go catch a shower.

Anyone else going to IFC and MFM?
Posted 7 years agoI'm making the old two weekend double header again. IFC this weekend, MFM the next.
So...who else is going? :D

Reasons I've been quiet/not uploading much/planned cons.
Posted 7 years agoFirstly before we get into it, I don't know if you all have noticed or saw the piece I uploaded marking the occasion. But I'm at (and over now) 1000 viewers! Thanks to you all and hope for a 1000 more. :)
Now for the first bit of explaining for why I've been quiet.
Well the short of it is...2018 has sucked for me so far, mainly money wise.
Why I hear you asking? Well...mid January my daily pickup truck I used for going back and forth to work finally took a shit and blew a head gasket with nearly 240,000 miles on the clock. Seeing as it'll probably cost more to fix then it's worth it's safe to say it's still in the driveway...broken. The biggest thing to add insult to injury is that I had literally...LITERALLY put a full tank of gas in it not five moles from my house. On the way from filling it up the thing decided to go.
Well..that was the first thing, so luckily I had a second truck (the one I usually use to tow my car trailer) and started using it to daily to work and back. Sometime in February I had a friend that needed my help in going to Illinois (3 hour drive from where we are) to pick up an old Ramcharger for him. Well, did that without a hitch and decided I should get an engine and drive train monitor for my truck so I can watch all the temps as I tow things. Well I got one from a well known brand, an...expensive one...and proceeded to hook it up to my truck. Well...things didn't go as planned and long story short it fried the PCM on my truck. Of course the maker of the monitor offered no refunding of the PCM being fried so I sent the monitor back, but that's without saying.
"Well get a new PCM and be done with it!" I hear some saying. Well I tried ordering one online, and...well the place more or less took to long getting me one that would work...and I say that because they did end me one...but it didn't work, that I just decided to get a refund. Problem was I had gone over their sixty day return policy and wouldn't give my money back. So...in me being Mr. Nice Guy and being patient with them in getting me a PCM I fucked my own self. In a desperate attempt, I went to the local Ford dealership to see if I could find some bastion of hope, and I did...an expensive one, but a plan of action none the less. I told the lady at the parts counter I was gonna sleep on it, and I'm glad I did.
Happen to run into an old friend I went to our local vocational center with and stopped to talk to him. Well he wondered why I was there, I told him and he paused, looked around and said "Come outside with me, can't tell you this in the shop." Once outside he told me if I can find a matching PCM from a salvage yard he, could program it for me for pennies compared to what the dealership could. So that's what I did. Acquired one, he programmed it, and I was back on the road.
BUT!...I'm getting ahead of myself. During the time of having both vehicles down, I had to buy something to get to work and back. Found a 2004 GMC Envoy, and my brother had an '06 I liked so I decided to pick it up. Well...It needed some work...Like a new belt tensioner, CV axle, and brakes upfront work. Well that wasn't cheap, but I got it done, all the week before I went off to GFM. Kind of why I was so sudden with my announcement of me going, I didn't know if I was going to make it!
So now in this story, got both vehicles running. But my check engine light keeps coming on in my pickup, the readout saying the front o2 sensor is reading wrong. Well, my truck has had an exhaust manifold leak since I got it and I figured it had gotten bad enough it was time to get it fixed, and seeing as I had always wanted it fixed I told the shop to take care of that for me. They did, and anyone who knows 5.4 Triton engines knows how expensive that was...and just for one side! I get the truck back, drive it around...light comes back on...I guess it was the o2 sensor after all. But before I was able to take it back, Envoy problems again.
My Envoy starts making squeaking noises under the hood, but the kind that go away after about five minutes of running so I decided to let it slide. Then!...then the A/C starts to putter, and in the West TN summer heat, that ain't too well. Took it back to the shop, they look and find out the A'C compressor is about to fall apart, so they end up redoing that whole thing.
So now we're about up to date on the goings on thus far into the year and why I haven't uploaded much, mainly because I haven't had the funds to get anything recently! But I've managed to acquire a couple here and there that you've probably seen, and some I haven't uploaded...or gotten back yet!
So there's all the bad things written out, hope you suffered through the wall of text like I have so far this year. :D
Now for the good news, planned cons!
Provided I can save my funds back up over the next few months, I do plan on making the same racket I did last year. That list being from soonest to latest, Anime Blues Con (next weekend!) Indy Fur Con, Memphit Fur Meet, and the big one, Midwest Furfest!
And I hope I can make them because...well I've already registered and booked hotel rooms. XD
tldr: Halp.
Hope you all have had a better 2018 them me so far. :D

Going to GFM!
Posted 7 years agoYes I am going, very short notice I know, but the trials and tribulations I have been over in the last three weeks have had me very on the fence on yes or no.
That will all be in a later journal but for now here's a short one saying I'll be there.
Make sure to follow my twitter for updates!

After MFF report/Busy as fuck/Stuff coming!/GFM?
Posted 8 years agoUgghhhh....fuck was that a long weekend. Not in a bad way though! But I have been busy since I got back, so sorry for the delay and more on that later.
We'll start at the beginning, which is different for all attendees but we'll start it when I was going over all my reservations which I tend to do a month in advance before ever con. Train tickets, good. Registration, check. Hotel...wrong dates. So I call Aloft which the place I chose to stay for this years con and ask then if it could be changed. They say "Well, all but Saturday you have a room, but we'll put you on a list for the next room that comes available" which can happen, because people wait till the last week or so to decide they're not going.
Fast forward to a week before the con and I call back. Same song and dance. Well After I get off the phone I start pulling strings to see what I can do for Saturday. In the middle of that I get a call and it's the hotel. Apparently they tried to call me before (when I was at work no doubt) and said they have a spot open. I immediately take it.
Now it's Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Got off work, got showered, final things packed, and head to the train station. Now...as someone my age perfectly capable of driving with two trucks, I have never really used public transport. One, because we don't really have any here...and I've never had to use it. But, seeing as my vehicles are older with many miles, I didn't want to risk another trip that far and break down. Plus, I've always been a railfan that's...never ridden a train, so my time was due. What better time then an Amtrak to MFF?
I get to the station around 11:30 PM. Train is suppose to be here at 12:22 AM. Now...when I say station, it's not like...Union Station or some fancy place like that, this station is one left over from the late 1800's and early 1900's, and is not manned. It's more or less just a stop that the train makes on it's way back and forth. So, as I wait, I sit in my truck and play on my phone. Midnight hits, so I get my stuff out and walk over to the platform. 12:22 get's here...but the train doesn't. It wasn't 1:00 AM that the train got there and got us loaded up.
After that it wasn't much to mention other then...well let's say there were some recently released convicts on the same train as me headed up to Chicago. Now they were cool, just wish they were a bit quieter because they kept me up for the most of the trip after they got on. Oh, and there was a delay on arrival because a train earlier had derailed slightly, pushing my 9 AM arrival back to 9:45 AM.
I get to the station, summon a Lyft, and get carted over to the Aloft. Get up stairs, unpacked, change of clothes, get prettied up, and head over the Hyatt to see what's up. I had seen on Twitter already that there were some furs gathering so I wanted to mingle. Ran into a few familiar faces, was in the middle of talking when all of a sudden...you guessed it, the alarm when off. Wednesday morning at around 1 PM the hotel is evacuated...all before the con has started. So, as we're standing out front in the cold watch the ambulance and fire truck pull up, I say "I'm hungry, anyone interested in tagging along?" and
andreus steps up. So we walk over to Park Tavern, eat a meal, converse, and head back to see if the coast is clear. It was.
Later that night, my roomie Salem got there and unpacked and we passed out. Thursday was uneventful for the most part, other then getting registered. Was one of the first ten to do so that weekend too! Thank god too, because I saw that reg like later that week. Horrible! But the saving grace of Thursday was me and a group of friends went to Giordanos for dinner and got stuffed! The pizza was awesome, and those potato fritters, ugh, to die for!
Friday was eventful with panels and all I went too, but I was also part of a group that was consisted of
s0c0m3
neikrad
comus
pook
rabbi-tom and me that went to a little hole in the wall pizza joint called Burts that had been featured by Anthony Bourdain in his TV show. It was popular though! Tom told me they had to make this reservation weeks in advance, and I could see why. There was only like...six or seven tables in the place. But, to it's credit, the pizza was fabulous. I ate one and a half slices and was DONE. I think that was also the night people wouldn't stop buying me beers and I got pretty...not shitty, but south of tipsy. That make sense? I guess that's a good thing though, people enjoy my company enough to buy me alcohol.
Saturday consisted of more panels, a little dealers den and artist alley (which I love the new set up, sooOOOOooo much better then it had been) as well as hanging with some old friends in the fandom. I would tag them but they don't have an FA. For dinner, me and Salem went to Hofbräuhaus which was PACKED that night. Imagine that, furries going to a restaurant which had a brewery in it. Everyone was loving it though, all the regular folk dancing with the suiters to the tune of the live band and taking photes with them. Makes me want one something fierce. Other then that, I had one of their MASSIVE 32 ounce beers and some food. After that, went back to the Hyatt to catch...I think it was Whose Lion? Or it might of been Fox and Peppers set, can't remember.
Friday...last day of the con. With a somber tone, everyone went about their night enjoying what was left of the con. More panels, more dealers den and artists alley, and the dance competition. The dance comp was off the chain by the way, highly recommend going. Sometime during that night e also went to eat at another place (forgot the name) with the same group that went to Burts. Got stuffed....again!
After we got back it was time for closing ceremonies, and boy...was it for sure a closing ceremony. It was packed! And when the word came that there were 8700 attendees for this con, the whole room came alive! MFF had done it! It is now the largest fur con in the world. Which everyone I talked too said it would be this year. Also, like 85k was donated to charity, which is completely bitchen in my book. Good work guys! I more or less wrapped up my Sunday evening sitting with
dreamsinscareden and drinking with him and his friends. And always the classy gentlemen he bought me booze.~ <3
Monday then came....and with a heavy heart I packed my things. Once me and Salem got our stuff packed, we decided to get breakfast right fast. What's good breakfast food? That's right, Denny's. Which it really was, I was surprised. We don't have one here and that food was top notch. Would eat there again for sure. Once food was done, Salem dropped me off at the mall and he jetted because he had to get home for work and what not. I spent a short while in the mall, looking around (at all the stuff I couldn't afford) before heading back to the hotel. Now...I had already checked out, but my train didn't depart till 8:00 PM...and it was still like..noon. So I just spent the time in the lobby of Aloft catching up on YouTube videos before catching a Lyft to the staion.
Waited there a short bit, lined up, on the train, and headed out. The ride back was alright, even ran into another fur making the same migration back home in the dining car and stopped to talk to him. Found out he was from Memphis and MFF was his first con. I told him he should try checking out MFM in September seeing it's right in his backyard more or less. After about an hour of conversing, I headed back to my seat and tried to get what sleep I could before getting home at...I think it was 4 AM? Got off the train, in my truck, got home, unpacked, and crashed around 6 AM.
Now smart me took Tuesday off as well so I could rest, in which I did NOTHING but relax.
Now the busy part.
I have been nothing BUT busy since then. Work, catching up on things, helping out at things I do here. Ugh...chaos almost, but I finally got a second to type this up, so thanks for staying patient! Speaking of.
I have commissioned some arts!
I know, I know. I've been silent for a bit with pieces, but that's because I was trying to save every red cent I had for MFF. But since I have commissioned about...three pieces? Plus a new
daigo piece I just got at a recent stream of his here recently and will go up...tonight? Maybe tomorrow. Also, got a few sketches at MFF, including one from
maxblackrabbit and will be up before long.
Speaking of art, I even have one in the hold for you all, one for my 1000 watcher milestone that was done by Daigo, so if you wanna see it, share the shit out of me! And spread the word! Right now I'm at 918 watchers so it shouldn't be too hard to get! :D
And I know what you're thinking, did he fire six shots or only five?
But that's besides the point. You're really thinking "GFM? What's that" and to this I say it's a little fur con in St. Louis called Gateway Fur Meet. I've been mulling it over on whether I should go or not, seeing as I just got back from one. But seeing it's in a few months I might be able to save up enough to make it. Plus it's only like...three hours from me? Why would I NOT go?
But if I decide to I'll let all you fuzzbutts know!
Well that wraps up this long ass journal, hope you made it this far without passing out! And thanks for reading! Ciao! <3
It was.Later that night, my roomie Salem got there and unpacked and we passed out.
Birthday/MFF/900+ watchers
Posted 8 years agoWhat is up all you beautiful faces! Haven't posted anything in a while and with MFF around the corner, I figured now would be the right time to post!
First and foremost, it's mah birthday today! 24 rotations around the sun I have survived at this day and time.
Now that-that's out of the way, on to the news!
MFF! Or Midwest Furfest for those less con savvy and lacking the nomenclature knowledge of attending such events.
At this moment...I am set to go. Room booked, Registration done, and all but getting there sorted out. Which is a story of it's own. I'm trying to decide if I want to drive again this year or take an Amtrak, which there is a station for one a stoned throw away. But, I do like the mobility of having a vehicle there to get around if needed, which I might this year seeing I might want to be attended other events NOT at the con. We'll see though.
Also, this will not be the meme for MFF yet, I will do that closer to the date of the con seeing as I'm still hammering out plans for it.
Now for watchers, as stated above.
At this moment in time, I am sitting at 908 watchers, which is awesome! Getting close to 1k, and for those waiting, I do have a little piece cooked up for when I click that over.
Sadly though, I haven't been getting much art recently thanks to saving up for MFF and paying off one of the two comics I'm gonna be in. Therefore, little art is making my viewer count plain off. I am still getting some watches here and there, but no jumps like when I post something. So please! Share my stuff and tell people to watch me if you want that 1k piece!
So, how else is going? Let me know down below! And maybe we can bump into each other over the weekend!

After con report for IFC and MFM, plus a lot more.
Posted 8 years agoHello all! How you doing?
Been a minute I know, especially seeing as I've been more or less dark since the cons have come and gone. Just letting you know, I've been busy...
First is a report for IFC!
Loved it, was a great follow up year from the first time I went. I like to tell folks it's like MFF but smaller, which it is if you think about it. You got a lot of the same personalities there as MFF, but with not as many people you can get closer and converse with them a lot easier.
I really love that Marriott Inn though. The location it great with that Lincoln Pancakes restaurant right next door (awesome eats there by the way) and the con space it wonderful! This year they had a much larger main ball room though, which they needed. If I remember it was something like 1200 people this year? Also, love the smart TV's there, heckin' YouTube is life.
Now, for MFM.
MFM was what it is, a home coming per say, and seeing it is the closest con to me, it more or less is a home like con. I saw many of familiar faces there, most from ArkCONsas, and seeing as ArkCONsas was small I more or less got to know many of the people there over the weekend. So it was cool being able to catch up with them and chat, especially with Keefer and Draconis again. Sadly though they informed me they wouldn't be doing an ArkCONsas for another year or so because of the poor turnout for the first one. Sucks because I really liked that con AND hotel.
Other then the good stuff there like the pizza and catching up with others I have seen at cons before, I did happen to catch wind of someone having complained about up in the card games room playing Cards Against Humanity, saying something along the lines of we were being rude and vulgar...even loud at times. But then again when someone pulls the card "When I pooped, what came out?" and one of the answers is "What you would expect." it's hard not to laugh aloud and among a table of roughly ten. Besides, that's why you play cards against humanity, to explore the darker side of your humor, am I right?
Other then that, was real cool this year, seeing as I went and hung out more with folks other then hang around like a bump on a log. I especially enjoyed going out to eat with rabbi-tom and a bunch of the other old heads of the fandom. Something I enjoy is history, and the history of the furry fandom is hilarious. XD
Now, for none furry stuff.
Work! Work work work, work work work, hello boys have a good nights rest, I miss you!
Shameless move quote there, but yes work has been keeping me busy, because in between cons I've had only enough time to get cleaned up, unpacked and then straight to work. Then vice a versa with going to cons.
Also...the weekend after MFM was LS Fest. I know, it's weird for a Ford fan to go to a Chevy based event, but my best friend who I've gone with the past three years in a row has a Chevy product and he's the one that kind of drags me along.
But yeah, LS Fest was fun, especially the night life. Hanging out in parking lots surrounded my 600+ horsepower cars is awesome, plus some entertainment of those doing burnouts and donuts in the street. Basically we stayed there until the police ran us off. XD
Other then that, been trying to game more. Recently picked up Destiny 2, and seeing I was a fan of the original Destiny that more or less means I have to buy it.
That's how that works...right?
Something else I've been preparing for though is my 1000 watcher milestone. At the moment of writing this, I have 882 watchers, meaning I'm closing in on less then 100. So!...I got something in the hold for that, a nice little image of course.~
Anyway! That's more or less all I got right now, or until MFF comes up. So please, share me and tell everyone about me to help me get to 1000 watchers. I will love you forever if you do! :D

Art thief on Twitter.
Posted 8 years agoHey guys and girls, need some help.
I've given this person over a month, more like two months now, and they still haven't removed my work. Both profile pic and art they've uploaded, so could you all help out in getting his "attention" over there.
That is if you have a Twitter. Would love you much if you could!~ <3

Anime Blues recap/800+ watchers.
Posted 8 years agoSo yeah...went to that! Was pretty fun, first time at an actual anime con. I mean I've been to one where I live but...it was like just for one day and had less then a thousand, wouldn't really consider that a con.
I'd recommend it to anyone in the midsouth in the West TN area to go if you have a chance.
I also ran into a few furs there, even bumped into a few I had met at previous cons, as well as found out they will be attending a few cons coming up that I have plans to go to. So, it will be fun to see them again.
I also tipped over 800 watchers while I was away, currently sitting at 803. Means I'm gonna have to really start buckling down and getting ready for a thousand.
It's weird saying that now though, because I never thought I'd ever come close to 1000 watchers, much less 100. XD
But, I must be doing something right, so I'm gonna try and keep it up.
Love, peace, chicken grease!

Anime Blues in Memphis.
Posted 8 years agoSo yeah, kind of last minute, but this whole trip was last minute.
Buddy of mine reminded me that Anime Blues was this weekend...last Sunday. So, throughout the week I've been making quick plans to go.
Rash I know, but after seeing everything from AC via Twitter, I...I just have the con jitters. I want to go to one, I want to feel that vibe once more, and I don't even care if it's not a fur con. Hell I like anime, you got a problem with it! D:<
Anyway, if you're gonna be there, don't be afraid to come say hi! Go to my Twitter if you wanna keep up with me or message me while I'm there.
Love you all!

Why is it so complicated to get stolen art taken off F-list?
Posted 8 years agoI'm not bitching as much as I am venting in this journal.
Now, yes I understand there is procedures when it comes to taking art down from accounts that have been flagged for using another's owned art, but what I don't understand is why is it like...not pulling teeth, but more like swatting an annoying fly or mosquito.
Let me put some backstory to it.
I get on F-list today, and have a friend tell me they have found someone using a piece of mine. So, I decide to do it the way I've been told recently to do it and submit a ticket. Now, know that up until now I've been contacting people using my art directly instead of going through staff of the site to do it because I find it a bit more polite, plus I don't like to stooge people out. But a staffer of the site told me "Well that is in fact violating the terms and conditions to art take downs and should not be handled in such a way. So if you want it taken down contact F-list staff with a ticket." Or something along those lines.
I give them the name of the account, the piece in question, and even post the link to the original piece on MY account here on FA. And if any of you have taken a second to look at my account description it obviously has on there the link to my F-list account, which was originally put there to verify my F-list account for my art.
I get a ticket back saying something a long the lines of, and I'm paraphrasing when I say "We need the original posted by the artist so this link is no good for verification on this piece." As well as they link the wiki of guidelines they go by to take art down.
I go to the link, look over the guidelines, and in the guidelines it even says, quote "Art takedown requests must be filed by the owner or artist of the work in question." And seeing as I can't draw for shit, that kind of narrows down which one I am. I think the funniest thing in the wiki is it says under "Proof of identity" is to have a verified profile.
Well, I would if they wouldn't have scrapped the whole verification gimmick. That of which I'm still pissed about. I've even had a short spat to a staff member about that, me saying it helped in sorted the reals from the fakes and them saying it was more of a headache then not.
Also, if you want to read the wiki I'll link it here. --> https://wiki.f-list.net/Art_Takedown_Requests
Anyway! To end it and finally get it said and over I had to post the one the artist had put on their FA account, which could be a problem in some instances, seeing as not all artists post the things they do so it could be hard for one to get a stolen piece taken down.
Now I'll say I don;t disagree with the steps they take in making sure who's in the right, but come on, it shouldn't have to be that complicated. Shit like that makes me want to just up and quite the site, plus also goes to show why I was taking care of people using my art one on one instead of bringing in a third party, just a headache.
Almost like how buying a gun is. You go through a gun shop/store, you gotta fill out paper work, background checks and so on and so forth. But buying from one person to another? Just an exchange of money is all you need. No fuss, no muss.
tldr: It shouldn't be so hard to get art you own taken off someone else's account.

Must be doing something right.
Posted 8 years agoFirst off, i did go see Guardians 2 and it was fucking awesome. Loved the soundtrack.
Now, on with your regularly scheduled program.

Remember last journal when I said I was having a bit of a money situation? Well come to find out the place I work is going to be giving one time bonuses to everyone due to a change in ownership. The way they're doing it is for every year you've been there they are giving six weeks of full pay. Seeing as I've been there just a hair shy of two years, I should be getting a pretty good chunk of change back.
"What does this mean?" I hear you asking me through your electronic device. Well, for starters I might be able to get some more arts now, that is as long as I catch artists when they open for commissions. Also, con stuff. As soon as I get my bonus I'm gonna be paying off all sponsorship fees for registration.
Besides stuff related to the furry world, I also have a few other things I would like to purchase, like a new phone, a few things for some projects I got going on, and the big ticket item...are you ready for this? A brand new shotgun! A Browning A5 to be exact. Got one priced today and for a good deal, so be on the look out for pictures of that. More then likely on my Twitter though seeing as a lot of people on here get scoldings for posting pictures of guns. Don't know why, I mean they seem to have no problem with drawn guns.
shrugs
Anyway, hopefully I'll have some money left over to put back in savings and use for cons, like to pay for the hotel rooms and other things like gas and food.
Love you all! Mean it!

Life update/Planned con/Guardians of the Galaxy anyone?
Posted 8 years agoWhat's up everybody? How you been? Me? Oh, I'm making it, though this journal will be an update on things that have been going on since my last journal I made when I came back from ArkCONsas.
First off, I've been...down in the dumps the last couple months do to some things going on at work, mainly being I got bumped more or less from my prior position there and put back into the one I was in before. Now, the pay being a tad bit less isn't what has me in the dumps, but more the feeling of I failed in a way in the position I was in, mainly being because I wasn't "performing as I should have been" as it was told to me. Thing is, when I first started the spot I was told I was doing great, and better then most who first come to that position. I guess you could say I was depressed at the fact I wasn't holding up my end you could say, so because of that I've been a bit less vocal and maybe a little less social here recently on here and social media, even on F-list. So if you've messaged me recently and I've seemed a bit cold towards you then that's more then likely why. Nothing against you, just...I haven't been in the right mindset.
Something else that has put me back was right after I got my income tax back one of my trucks radios went out and was causing it to run the battery down. So to take that get it looked at, diagnosed, and replaced with a better radio with a backup camera it cost me about 700$ cash. It sucked, but it had to be done I suppose, I'm just glad I had gotten my tax back before that, because if not it would have had to gone on the back burner.
Now the real bitch of having that money taken out of my back pocket Was I was planning on using that for con registrations, which I will get to which ones after I update you all on a few things. Speaking of all, I've had a considerable spike in watchers here recently, so thank you all to the new ones for following me, and for the ones who've BEEN following me, thanks for putting up with my shenanigans.
Anyway! That burned a lot of not only registration money, but also possible commissions and me getting a new phone, in which I've been needing for quite some time. So yes, it's a minor set back and means I'm gonna need to conserve my money coming up on con season. Now...of those things mentioned, I'm more then likely gonna have to cut back on art to save money for cons and a new phone. Sorry to all the folks that were looking for quite a bit more hot prons with Ben in it. Gonna be a slow time till I can get some more funds up. :(
Ok! Enough with the sobbing about my financial situation and mental situation.
In order they are Indy Fur Con, Memphit Fur Meet, and Midwest Fur Fest.
More or less the same circuit I made last year. Now I have not registered for these yet, but do plan on doing so soon, maybe in a couple weeks to save up some checks. I have reserved rooms though for all three, so unless a freak accident happens, I should be there.
And if you are too, let me know. I'd love to meet and chat for a second.
For the third part, has anyone NOT seen Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 yet? Like for real, everyone I talk to has seen it already!
If you haven't though and would like to see it with hoss then hit me up. That is if you live in the West TN area.
I was thinking of going this weekend in Jackson TN, they got a good theater with big comfy seats, so that'd be awesome to go and take in a show at. Maybe eat before we go as well because concession stand food is high.
I would love some fur friendly people to go see the movie with seeing as I really haven't hung out with any furs other then my buddy Salem since ArkCONsas. I think to do something like that would really up my spirits.
Get in touch if interested!

After action report for ArkCONsas.
Posted 9 years agoOk, first of all, let me tell you all one thing, and that is you all missed out on one great con.
Funny enough though this is a con I only found out about like two weeks before it was happening, and I don't know why, there should have been more people talking about it.
Now yes, it was a first year con, so it was light in attendance. If I remember correctly it was just shy of a hundred peeps. Small indeed, but not a bad thing, mainly because it being a bigger con you really got to know people attending on a more personal level through seeing them each day and interacting.
Now I've been to IFC, MFM, and the largest being MFF. Yes, larger cons do have a bit more to offer, but from this con I came away with what felt a chunk missing...a piece of myself left behind. Only way I can describe why is because over the weekend we all had time to become close and almost family like, something I have come not come away with from any other con.
I even did something at this con I haven't done at any other, and that's volunteer. Donating money is one thing, but ones time is a whole new ball park. I volunteered as a member of security, this of course allowing me to get close to members of staff and hang with them.
The hotel as well, it was great! Wonderful place, complete with dining, bar, and even a creek with fish in it running through the lobby. There was hot breakfast in the morning, and in the evening between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 there were free drinks! Not regular ones though, alcoholic ones. Like I said, you missed out if you didn't go. I mean come on, alcohol and furries go together like ebony and ivory, peanut butter and jelly, even foxes and Bad Dragons. And the food! Good lord I ate like no tomorrow there. I don't think I ate as much as I did on Thanksgiving OR Christmas. Usually I come away from cons having lost weight, but this one I'm sure I gained it...
Another part I loved about the hotel were the rooms. Unlike most cons that more or less have one room with bed and everything with a bathroom to the side, this actually had a living space, and a damn nice counter with a sink, fridge, and microwave. And get this, it was like half as much as the room I paid for at MFF.
I mean, come on guys and gals, this con was awesome...other then the fire alarm going off at two in the morning one night. But the good part was it wasn't anyone from our group that did it! It was actually a malfunction on the hotels part, but I was still up at the time so it didn't bother me any.
To close this out though, I highly, HIGHLY recommend going next year if it's held again. The con did not fill it's block this year so it's on shaky ground for if it happens again, and if the same thing happens next year then for sure it won't happen again. So please...if you have the chance then go to it. even if it does snow again, which is a reason some didn't show, but come on, not even an inch of a dusting of snow is gonna keep you away from having the time of your life? Please.
I know I will do my hardest to go again next year, and you can bet your little belly button on that.
I am going to say I enjoyed every second there. Every second. And I highly encourage you to try and attend, from the bottom of my heart and deepest of feels. And I say feels because I tear up slightly typing this, and the Post Con Depression is hitting hard right now.
Love you all, and God bless.

Fuck yeah, what I'm there to do is meet people.
If you're pissed off, should I approach you?
Eh...you can come up to me, but if I say I need a minute, then I probably need a minute.
Can I hang out with you?
Sure, hang with me all you want.
Rules of engagement (physical contact):
Would prefer it to be female.

Christmas and the New Years!
Posted 9 years agoHello all! Hope you are doing well.
Writing this journal to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. This will probably be my last note of the year, so I'm gonna go ahead and close out 2016 and say that 2017 will hopefully be more awesome! :D
I've got a few plans in the works that might be life altering, but for the most part I am hoping to get more art and attend more cons. So keep on the look out!
Other then that being said, love you all, hope you get lots of goodies, and drink responsible! <3

600 watchers! And badges to be posted.
Posted 9 years agoWow, 600 watchers. Thanks so much to all you who have watched me. <3
Seems like yesterday I had just passed 500...
Anyway, can't wait for 1000, I so hope to have something special for that milestone.
Also, I finally got a new copier/scanner/printer/do all after all these years of not having one! :D
That means I will now be able to scan all my none digital badges in which I got at cons soon. I'll either start scanning them later tonight or tomorrow sometime, depending how playing games go tonight.
Once scanned, I will be posting them through the week, or even next week until all are up.
Also, peppered into those badges getting posted will be two sketches I got at MFF. One from Gideon and the other from Rabbi-Tom.
With that, I will finally quit my jabbering and go do all that stuff I just mentioned. Love you all SO MUCH!!! <3

I'm back from MFF! :D
Posted 9 years agoAnd already suffering PCD! But, that's to be expected though.
Goodness was it an awesome con, so many new people met, so many friends made, and even met up with old friends from previous cons. Loved every second.
Panels were attended, the floor was walked, Cards Against Humanity was played, badges were picked up and even a new one made, got two sketches, all of which I will try and post sometime soon, either by taking a picture or stealing my dad's copier for a day. Uhh...what else, beer was drank, hugs were given and taken. And uhh...oh yeah! Tears were shed...many times.
Mainly at the closing ceremonies where AT FIRST the charity was given 68K, but soon the stage was swarmed with attendees (including me) throwing more money in, including a check being given to them for 7500$ to push the donation to a hair under 78,500 dollars.
Attendants this year? Up from (what I remember) 5,202 last year to 7,075 people this year!
Holy crap that's a lot!
Ugh....why did it have to end?
Let's see...I think the only downfall of the weekend was the fact I really wanted to meet up with someone there, someone special. But...I'm guessing they got cold feet or something...Kind of bummed me...
That's what booze if for though, right?
Anyway, I'm gonna go try and stave off encroaching PCD syndrome and return to my regular life...sadly.
Love you all! <3

Birthday/MFF update and other things.
Posted 9 years agoSo!...Here we are more or less in the final stretch leading up to MFF, which I am still planning to attend, lord willing and the creek don't rise.
But this is more or less to re account my turning to the age of 23. Was a lovely day, of course went to work, after I did I got off and went to Applebee's with some of my best friends and watched game seven of the Cubs vs Indians World Series. And for my birthday the Cubs pulled it out and won the whole shebang.
No, I'm not a Cubs fan, one of my friends hate them and I find it hilarious when he get's upset about things like that. XD
Does that make me a bad friend?
Something else I got was a wonderful piece from
javkiller I've waited on for some time now, and I love it! <3
Really wish I could get more stuff from him, but money! D:
Also, if you all were wondering, I did get my tooth fixed, and so far have not gotten any bill for it, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for that.
So, anyone else going to MFF?
If so, let me know! Maybe we can meet and hangout. :D

Well fuck...
Posted 9 years agoSo...here we are, we'll say roughly a month away from MFF, and about a month from my birthday, and me hoping everything goes well for both.
Well...today while I was at work, I was stacking boxes onto a pallet, and on the final one which was pretty big, I tossed it, but didn't toss it hard enough. It came falling back down onto my face and ended up chipping one of my front teeth.
So right now I just got home from work, waiting for my emergency dentists appointment dealing with the annoying pain a chipped tooth has.
Now what if really bad is I have no idea how much this will set me back money wise. I'm hoping workers comp comes in to pay most of it, but I'm not sure how much as for I haven't even been yet.
So please, keep me in your thoughts and hope for the best.
I hate having my teeth worked on. x.x

Birthday soon!
Posted 9 years agoYeah, so in a little under a month I'll be turning 23! I'm a Pepper, she's a Pepper , you're a Pepper...You know, because Dr. Pepper has 23 flavo-...never mind.
Anyway! So yeah, gonna be getting another year older on the 2nd of November, and hope that for my birthday wish I'll be able to make MFF.
I've gotten everything planned for as of the moment, that being room, registration, all I need to do is get there.
Now...that will probably mean a halt on buying art at the moment because I'm in quite the bind for money, with all the traveling I did in the month of September on top of paying bills, it more or less wiped me out financially.
So other then pre existing obligations I probably won't be getting anymore work till after MFF.
With that being said, sorry for having a lack of content, an art slump one could say. But in time I do plan to have it back up there, got a lot of ideas I'd love to have done, just no finances to fund them.
So that was a quick update in the world of hoss, just gonna keep working, trying to make money, and keep up with the good stuff.
My next journal probably won't be till close to MFF, unless I get a wild hair and do one on my birthday, so we'll see!
Love you all, mean it!

So that was a quick update in the world of hoss, just gonna keep working, trying to make money, and keep up with the good stuff.
My next journal probably won't be till close to MFF, unless I get a wild hair and do one on my birthday, so we'll see!
Love you all, mean it!
