I have been largely cheery and relaxed for a good 4.5 months but that ended abruptly when this week began
my 30th birthday is on the 3rd of August, which is just 1 month + 2 days away for me

I have never felt so afraid

I didn't have many friends growing up other than one person (i still love u Mizz)
My amusement with furries was, for the first few years, an entirely lonely experience

But then the internet happened
The internet made me very happy and has provided me with so many friends and cool people

I am satisfied.
A week has passed of me actually living at the maisonette and I am doing better than I expected. I also have a happy arrangement with my family.

I find great comfort in living alone and handling my own stuff. Some people say they can't fathom sleeping or living alone, but being alone at home is what I'm most comfortable with. I like having my own little fortress to retreat to when life has tired me out - my little slice of heaven. My love and my refuge, free to organize how I want it; simple. efficient. minimal.

What now, busty husky?
I am currently doing a Backlog Sweep.
The target is to cancel or complete all the tasks in my backlog as quickly as possible (while still doing them properly) so that I may start with a clean slate.
My top priority is the 2 remaining commissions and the survey raffle prize. Thank you for being patient!

After that, I am going to change up my modus operandi and switch to calendar-based task organization instead of to-do list based organization, because I've been experimenting and found I do significantly better with the former.

Why so quiet?
I have been a little quiet lately. Everybody has been noticing that, from workmates to online friends. I reassure you that nothing bad has happened but I have to say that my current situation is a bit convoluted - but no matter what, I'm in a life situation where I may stand to gain even more. Who knows what will happen? All I know is that I am going to win. I've been on a massive winning streak lately and I'm going to do everything in my power to protect what I've worked so hard (and have been so lucky) to establish.

I've unplugged my computer. I will be moving it to the new place today. I have moved out and back in to living with my parents three times now. This time, I am moving out and staying out, at all costs.

Update 23-Jul-2020 23:23 - I have the computer set up here along with the graphics tablet but there are several teething problems. I can technically draw, but my new keyboard REALLY doesn't like my graphics tablet. I'll have to buy a wired keyboard. I will go buy one tomorrow.

Update 25-Jul-2020 16:48 - I have brought my previous keyboard to the new place. Seems like the wireless keyboard wasn't the problem.. it's what's install on the laptop! I'll try figure it out..

Update 26-Jul-2020 12:00 - The laptop itself has two deal breaking issues. Today I will attempt to relocate my gaming PC there. After all, the laptop was a temporary solution anyway.

Update 30-Jul-2020 23:58 - I moved my bucket chair there today. My computer setup is fully complete. Its getting intolerable hot in there though, AC is gonna become a must. Internet will take more than a month to move in. About 2 days ago I had bought a USB internet adapter so that I can still use my gaming PC. Also bought a low profile keyboard for less key noises during voice chat. All coming together now!

I've gotten through many tough boss levels, but now I'm Level 28 and I'm still stuck on the Ego Depletion boss. I'm playing on the Slightly Hard difficulty and it's getting boring replaying this raid.

The mechanics of the boss are so unfair! What were the devs thinking, introducing the "positive re-enforcement" mechanic? So basically, if you screw up once, the difficulty keeps ramping itself up until it spirals out of control, you get one-shot by a tiny undodgeable projectile, and have to start again. Sometimes I just drop the game and spend a few weeks before picking it up again.

Anyway, I'm looking up some guides, and I'm realizing that a lot of them focus on character builds. The biggest problem is that this one boss is spoiling an otherwise fun game for me. Anyone else feel this way?

I'm very slow when it comes to catching up with social media, I suppose my next step is to try start exploring Twitter more~

I lost 8 kilograms in a month! ^///^ And I'm not even doing some super strict diet, I'm just not eating like a pig and stopped lazing around physically lol
My family has been an enormous help in this, and I already feel physically better than before - not by a large margin, but enough to notice.

The past is the past!

Times really do change. I'm on very good terms with my entire family now, and a lot has changed for the better. I know I've made journals in the past venting about my family but they've changed, and so have I. Apologies made, transgressions forgiven, and the soul is much lighter for everyone. I don't regret apologizing and receiving apologies from my family, not one bit. Of course, a genuine apology will not always be accepted, but that's not the kind of person you want in your life anyway. This is the internet, you choose the quality of people you hang out with on a daily basis. This way, as life goes on, I'm finding myself around more and more people who care about my wellbeing, and I feel and do the same way for them.

Life Lesson: Don't trust your mobile phone with anyone!

I learnt a valuable lesson recently, be careful who you trust with your mobile. Someone stole money from me, according to the most likely correct theory, using my card AND phone (I trusted my phone in their hands!) It's been stressful trying to get it back and I've been trying to keep it cool and clean up the mess. I'm sure the police will catch the fraudster and that I'll get my money back! At the very least, this taught me to up my security game, which is a valuable lesson.

It has been a long journey till I got this point. I've gained and lost many important things to me. Nowadays I'm feeling content with my life and have accepted the finite nature of everything.

The crazy dream of emigrating to America was making me mentally sick because of how difficult it was. A prolonged, fruitless job search can damage someone's self esteem. Even my psychiatrist immediately told me that very same thing - and almost two years later, now I finally believe him. Now, with this cumbersome load off my shoulders, I can further my mental recovery in a low-stress environment where I don't expect anything special out of myself anymore.

And with that said, My mad ravings of building any kind of furry community or moving in with some kind of significant other are no more. Those are just far fetched dreams that were a mistake to chase in the first place, especially with so little support.

Everything about me is geared for a solitary lifestyle supplemented with an online social life and a small fraction of in-person social life. I want to live alone. I want my own place, my own private corner in this large world that I can truly call home. Living alone doesn't mean being alone. It just means having no semblance of a family. I am done chasing for a replacement for something I missed out on years ago. Now, onward; there is much to do, and so little time.

Let this peace last for as long as I can. My life is made out for me and I'm finally truly content.

I'm 100% done with it. I already got scammed 350 euro out of some shitty company (note me if you want to know who they are) - they "promise" to proactively help you search, but all they do is give you information that's already publicly available and assign a guy to pretend to talk to you and then disappear completely. This happened a few years ago.

And that's just salt being rubbed in the wound of the main problem - sending application after application, trying to reach out to recruiters on LinkedIn and getting no response, as if I don't fucking exist.

This dream is dead and this decision is final. I'm honestly disgusted by the whole American job scene and the sheer hostility of the VISA process, and how little employers give a damn about someone with decent skills. I'm being shown a lot of interest in the local scene, lots of actual recruiters who respond.

I suppose the American dream is going to be what it always was - just a dream. I will go take my skills elsewhere in Europe, or stay with my current employer who I'm extremely happy with.


Edit: S-sorry for the angry journal. I rarely, rarely ever get angry. I can assure you that this will be an extremely rare occurrence. I needed to vent off my frustrations. Even though it'll solve nothing, at least it helps get it out of my head so I can stop thinking about it..
