General | Posted 13 years agoJust letting you guys know, I haven't forgotten or blown off the commissions - the semester's been rough. If I do post any art, it's going to be just doodles or stuff that I make to help me relax.
Winter Break is just around the corner, so I'll be getting back to work on the commissions and any other work I owe at that time.
Not a whole lot to mention outside of this that's of much importance; I'm just busy.
See you guys in December!

Commissions Closed!
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm getting back in the gist of drawing furries, and because I don't really have any updated references available, commission at your own risk.~
Here is a repost of my commission info:My artwork in terms of commissions will be completely digital now, and because I have changed the way I do things, commissions should go by a bit faster than before - but don't expect me to work at a quick speed! Depending on circumstances, my pace can range from as quick as a few days to as slow as a few weeks. If you're someone who needs something done by a particular date (for example, a con badge), please let me know at least a week or so in advance!
Thanks for dropping by, and here's the new commission information:
- I don't draw porn or exposed genitalia. I'm just like that, don't question me.
- I draw humans, anthros, animals - pretty much anything organic. I can draw cybernetics and robots, but nothing like detailed drawings of spaceships or mechanisms. I just plain suck at those.
- I'm limited in what I am willing to draw in terms of kinks and fetishes. If you want something kinky, ask me about it first.
- I've had complaints about my choice of clothing on characters before. If you're worried about what your character wears, please specify what you would like he or she to wear.
- If you have any more questions or curiosities, feel free to ask me.
Sketches (updated preview yet to come): 400L
Lineart (updated preview yet to come): 700L
Flat color (updated preview yet to come): 900L
Full shading and highlighting (updated preview yet to come): 1300L
- For every additional character in a picture, 100L will be added to the cost. Reference sheets do not apply to this.
Payments are in terms of SL Lindens, as I would much prefer to be paid with that currency. Message Sibel Sielbermann if you would like a notecard of this information or want to chat. Thanks!
*P.S. I am not picky about when you pay in terms of before or during or after the commission. Just as long as you do pay, I don't mind.Slots:
1.) Harle: sketch (paid, complete!)
2.) Thrak: full color with shading (500L of payment, complete!)
3.) Jordan: full color with shading (paid)
4.) Jordan: full color with shading (paid)

New Commission Info
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm taking SL commissions again, but I want to advise that I am changing the way I make art just a bit. I would like to create and post some updated artwork at some point, but for now, if you wish to go by old references, just use what's in the gallery.

Coming Back
General | Posted 14 years agoI, uh... So I might be doing artwork again.
But there are a few things I feel like blathering about before I confirm that.
I want to say that I am a changed person - I'm a lot less worried about pleasing others and looking absolutely pristine and unoffensive (rather, I just want to be who I'm comfortable being and do what I'm comfortable doing.) I will probably never be as furry as I was once before, and I have come to recognize myself as an individual, not part of a fandom. What other people do does not affect or become part of what I do, and I will not take responsibility.
People should know me for who I am. Not for being a furry.
That being said, I am slowly re-integrating with furryness; I'm becoming more and more comfortable with assimilating myself with other furries. I'm also coming around to separating furry from horrible people - furry should not be associated with horrible. Rather, I am simply coming to terms with the fact that there are a great number of horrible people who happen to be furries, but their furryness doesn't make them as horrible as they are. They're just messed up that way, and furry has nothing to do with it.
In turn, I'm just...ambling along, really. I might get back into doing commissions again, because I really enjoy drawing furries and want to continue improving my skills. I want to make artwork that I and others can enjoy. I want to have my own renaissance.
With that, I want to say hello again. Hello, guys.

A Rather Nice Story
General | Posted 14 years ago--This is going to be a long and very offensive rant. I'm about to unabashedly tell you why I haven't been around at all for about a year. I may or may not actually come back to check for any responses. Yes, I'm alive and doing fine, for those of you who have been concerned.--
It's taken a long, long time to even get the stomach to bother coming back on here to post a journal about my current status.
A long story short, I've left the fandom. Thank every freaking sex addict and drama-queen that you know, and if you are one, thank your freaking self. I've had it with these douchewads.
My reason for coming on here this day is because since I've left, the unfinished business bothers my conscience somewhere in my dreams - and, as you can assume, I've woken up from yet another one.
I don't want to be associated with the sordid business that is the furry fandom. Because, regardless of how much denial it goes through, it IS a concentration of sex-addicts with little other motive than to masturbate. Now, not every furry is a sex-addict or drama-queen, because I've met a good handful of decent, pleasant ones, and I want to thank those of you who HAVE been decent to me during my time in the fandom. Thank you for not crawling into my pants. Thank you for staying sane and reasonable. I wish you didn't have to go through all the fandom's bullcrap.
There really isn't a complete escape from the fandom, because once you have that furry label, you will have every nasty trait of the fandom FOLLOWING you and waiting to rape you brutally in the ass when you really don't want it to. I'm glad I've got understanding friends in real life who at least don't associate me with all those negative traits, but the furry label is going to stick forever, and I hate it.
As some of you can tell already, I've also mostly quit Second Life. And I'm sure I don't need to reiterate myself as to why. But, at the same time, it's sort of hard not to want to go back on...mostly for the sake of having an avatar and running around in different simulators. I still am an ardent fan of dress-up and roleplay, which were two of my favorite pastimes while playing SL. The other half of my time was spent socializing (or trying to socialize, ick) with other furries. Not even decent furries. Just ones that were looking for their next fuck or fap material. Or ones that just wanted to rape everything that moved with their closed-minded opinions, like how everyone with a religion or special avatar parts should die, etc. Something cute and revolutionary like that. Because apparently, it is totally admirable and thoughtful to hate on people who may be different from you (ironic that I should say that; most of the fandom is that way in general, despite its claims of being so free and open-minded.)
On a slightly more positive side to this rant, I may not be gone forever. There may actually come a day where I'll gather my nerve and come back to the fandom. Just maybe. But that's not going to be for a long time, most likely.
I still like tasteful anthropomorphic art, and I still secretly like to draw anthros on rare occasion. And I might even return to Second Life at some point. But I'm obviously going to be very selective with the furries I associate with, cause I really don't want to wind up back in the same pothole I sank into before. I might even return here to FA to post my own artwork (I never closed this account because I know that there are people who still do enjoy my artwork, and it's a pet peeve of mine when pictures I enjoy get taken down for whatever reason.)
Even if I do return to the fandom, I will most likely NEVER be as involved in it as I once was. I will never identify as strongly with it, either. Art will be probably be my primary venue. As for any ideas of ever going to furry conventions? Those are quite gone. I don't think I could stand that amount of concentrated idiocy.
This mostly ends my rant for now, unless I decide to come back on later and rant some more or something. To those of you who were good friends of mine and have worried about me, I'm sorry to have worried you for so long. The other reason I posted this rant is so that you know what happened to me, and I'm hoping that you don't have to worry so much anymore. I have been hiding from Skype and MSN because I didn't even want to face anything furry-related, and also, in hopes of not getting sucked back into the disgusting drama-fest. I might come back on to Skype at some point in time, but that may not be for a long while. Again, I'm still very adverse to anything furry fandom-related, and it's going to take a while for me to get my nerve back.

Personal Status Update.
General | Posted 15 years agoHey all, it's been a while. A LONG while. I just thought I'd post a journal that's a bit more on the personal side (and explains why I've been gone for so long.) There are a lot of reasons, so I'll get started:
-College (most obvious):
In regards to my previous journal mentioning funds, I'm already out of that issue just fine. xD However, this semester held some rather unexpected circumstances: I've had virtually no time for any artwork, namely due to the photography class I am enrolled in. This isn't a digital photography class, sadly - it's a traditional (and rather costly - I've spent between $400-$500 on this class's basic materials alone, NOT including the camera itself or a book of any kind) photography class, where chemicals and trays are involved. It's also rather time-consuming, as developing film and photos can take up to 4 to 5 straight hours of concentrated attention, depending on the amount of work I have to do. I have to visit the lab about twice a week to get my assignments done on time, and many have dropped that class because of they're in the same predicament I'm in (and the ones that are still in that class wish they had dropped...)
On top of this, I have two biology classes and two psychology classes. Both of my psychology classes require research papers. This fact really does not make my day, but I've managed so far. I'm glad to say that I'm nearing the end of my semester (I get out in December sometime), so I may return to my usual hangouts on Second Life and here on FA. Maybe.
-Hiatus from the Fandom:
The other reason for my disappearance is that I just got tired of the usual crap that runs around in the fandom and furry social scenes (this will be like a repeat lecture for those furs who know what I'm talking about), so be prepared for a little ranting.
I'll start off with nymphomaniacs. Well, nymphomaniacs that can't understand the concept of "no." Most of us understand that yiff/sex is a matter of consent (even rape fetish scenarios have to be consented to), and most of us understand what it's like to get stalked and harassed by that special fur who's constantly trying to get in your pants. More often than not, when you reject them, they have these intense, bipolar emo-fits. Then there's the other kind who just can't keep his/her/hir privates to themselves - they have to take pictures of their real-life genitalia and force it on you. Then, you have the case of the psychoanalyst furs, who think that there's something morbidly wrong with you if you reject sex/yiff with them, and they'll tell you anything and everything to make you believe that you should yiff them for your own "well-being."
Anyway, whatever the case may be, I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. Of course, it's the furry fandom, and things like that aren't going to be totally unavoidable (which is why the block/mute/ignore option exists.) My tolerance level for these kinds of things has gone down considerably, thank goodness, so this kind of rant shouldn't appear much more in any future journals, if at all.
Now, moving onwards, we have our social elitists. These tend to be most prominent on SL. And they really don't like people whose avatars don't resemble theirs in a certain manner. However, these social elitists, I find, typically fall in a certain age group that ranges between 20 and somewhere in the early 30's. Of course, not all furries in that age group are like that; I typically enjoy conversing with furs who have left the high-school mentality and are more mature in personality. Typically, these furs are somewhere between being in their late 20's to being in their 40's. The best part is, they really don't start any drama. This is just in my experience, though - there will always be exceptions to everything.
Lastly, we have DRAMA. An all-too-familiar word for anybody in the fandom. Fortunately, in my case, I only get drama from severe mental cases. Though, I do get a little tired when people can't cope with anything or can't get along due to reason "x-this" and variable "y-me..."
Of course, all these matters just led me to take a break from FurAffinity and SL in general - and from certain instant messengers. While I'm in the middle of this journal, I want to thank everyone who has watched me and found my artwork worth looking at and worth sharing with others! <3
It makes me happy to know that my artwork is likable and enjoyable. Though, I have my personal critiques on it, and I do want to make some changes on what I produce. I feel I haven't put much passion into my artwork, and I really want to change that. This may change how I do my commissions.
Now, in regards to my commissions...I have been taking a break from them. Those who have commissioned me may have long since forgotten about their requests (unless they paid in advance.) As I've kept lists of commissions in my journals, there really isn't much way I can forget who has commissioned me. xD However, because of my hiatus, I want my commissioners to let me know if they want me to continue their work or drop it (if they haven't paid yet). One change I am very likely to make to how I do commissions is that I will probably only accept two at a time; the batches will be very small. Reason for this is partly due to time issues and partly because I want to focus more of my energy into each piece that I produce. I'll be honest, though - that may make the pieces a little more expensive, but not too much so from how they are now.
This all being said, I hope you understand a little bit of how things have been with me and as for why I've been absent. I'm happy to say that I will be reappearing on FA and on SL when I get out this semester. I will probably be doing some serious friendslist cleanup - though, if you do get removed, don't take it personally; it's just to reduce the size of the list and spam that I get.
As before, I am always open to IMs and willing to talk to strangers. I'm slowly getting my nerve back in regards to meeting and getting to know new furs as well. However, in regards to friend requests, I will not be so open to that; the only function friending has is to keep tabs on people (in SL.) It also makes it easier to send IMs, so if you're someone who commissions me, feel free to friend me. xD Now, if you're someone who's just friending me for how my avatar looks...well, I'm flattered, but you're not going to be accepted.
If you have any comments or questions, please either comment on the journal or note me, and I'll respond as soon as I can. I'm not as popular as some people might think (if anybody thinks I'm popular, lul :B), so don't be shy to talk to me. ~
I'll be seeing you soon!

Sibel's Irregular Status Update! (News)
General | Posted 16 years ago...No, sorry, this journal isn't here to announce the opening of the new commission batch. xD Though there is something I'd like to tell those I have already commissioned:
As you guys know, I'm like a turtle masturbating when it comes to speediness on commissions. ~ Though, I will say, my summer's been a very rough one so far - we're stuck in a pickle regarding funds for college, and we're currently weaving through multiple obstacles to obtain some sort of funding. Plus, I'm working on cleaning my room and whatnot for the semester.~ Though, I'm not giving much more personal information away, but that's the basic gist of what's going on right now. Also, I've been on a 2-week vacation, with virtually no time to be left alone to draw, so no progress was made... xD;
Though, bear with me - I'll hopefully get all of the commissions done before winter break. Maybe. But, just giving you guys a news update so you know you aren't forgotten. xD I'll show my current status regarding the current batch (commissions that are both finished and paid for will not be listed):
*
cetas - flat color reference sheet (finished); comic panels (in progress)
* River Xaron (SL) - cell-shaded (in progress) (paid for)
* Alita Galli (SL) - flat color sketch
When I get around to your commission, I'll send you a message and ask about the commission if you want to confirm what you originally requested or make any changes (you can change the media type if you haven't paid yet, or change it to something more expensive than what you already paid for and pay the difference). You can also cancel the commission if you haven't paid yet (I have a nasty habit of spending the money paid before the commission actually gets finished...so...no refunds. :B)
Also, if I don't hear from you about your commission when I ask, I will cancel the commission and proceed to the next batch. If you respond when that happens, you'll need to haggle for another slot or take an overflow space and wait until everyone else's is finished. :> (Fortunately, if you've already paid and want the commission with the same kind of media, you won't need to repay or anything. You'll just have to wait. :> )
Sooo...anyway, that's just the current news update for now.~

Summer Batch Commissions (Closed! ...Until next batch.)
General | Posted 16 years agoHorray, I'm open for commissions again! :D And you know what that means: another lowdown of my conditions and updated prices and styles. Good news is, I've reduced the price of Furcadia player patches. :> ...If that's good news for anybody at all. lul
Here's the updated commission info:
Regarding commissions and payments:
-Payments may be made whenever you are comfortable, be it before, after, or in small increments.
-Paying before the commission is started or paying more than the price will NOT get your commission finished any faster. I operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, so there's no need in wasting money.
Regarding commission themes:
-I DO NOT draw yiff art. Also, don't expect me to draw detailed genitalia anytime soon.~ Cause I'm a tard like that. :P
-I am limited in the amount of fetish-type art I am willing to draw. For starters, I will NOT draw: scat, goldenshowers/watersports, babyfur (naughty-type), hard vore. If there is a different kind of theme that is not listed within the main categories in the browsing list, please message me about it and I will let you know if I am willing to draw it or not.
-Any furry added to a picture will cost an additional 90L. (Does not affect macro pictures.)
-Backgrounds (such as scenery, NOT the colors or patterns I normally use) cost an additional 100L.
-While I will draw innocent lip-to-lip kissing and cuddling, I'm not too keen on groping or erotic situations. If you want to have a specific lovey-dovey pose, please message me about it and I'll tell you if I'll draw it or not.
-If you have any further questions regarding theme, please contact me.
Commission types:
(new prices) (rough approximations of USD amounts will be listed next to the linden prices)
-All submissions except for sketches and line art will include line art.

Lineart Reference Sheet: 550L ($2.04 USD)
Flat color Reference Sheet: 900L ($3.33 USD)
-NEW! Trades:
-Regarding trades, I prefer to exchange in the same type of medium as the other person. If you can't draw, that's okay - you can use fanfiction. :3 Though, when fanfiction is exchanged, I do not offer cell-shaded cg - everything else is open, though.

-More types of commissions are accepted; just mention what you want and I'll see if I can do it.~
-I also draw mobian-type characters. :DAgain, it's first-come, first-serve. I'll have about 4 slots open this time around, so if you want to commission me, make it quick to claim a spot. x3 Please send me a note of what you want here on FA or send me an IM on SL (notes are more reliable, since they are less likely to be lost due to some glitch or error, IM-capping, etc).Current holdsSlot 1:

Update on Sibel's Status!...
General | Posted 16 years ago...(However unimportant this may be. :B)
Golly, it's been a rough semester. x_x And here I thought my last semester was my hardest one...
At this point, I'm not sure if I will pass a class of mine - there's a very good chance that I won't (and if I do fail, it will be the first time in my lifespan I've ever failed a class at the end of its course. owo I'll manage somehow.) I can safely say, I haven't had such a sleep-deprived semester before - however, good news is, it's over for the summer.
I can't wait to start drawing freely again. <3 I've been wanting to draw and redraw old characters of mine and practice sculpting in blender to hopefully make decent products - I'm thinking about starting off with clothing, since you don't have to worry so much about sculpting it to function properly when moving (like with prim body parts and feet.)
Some other good news is that I will be open for another batch of commissions very soon. :3 In the following week or so, depending on circumstances. If you have been wanting a commission from me for some time, be sure to get down the details of what you want and ask me for commission info on Second Life - because, as usual, once my next journal announces that commissions are open, I will fill in the slots depending on who claims them first. xD (Claiming doesn't involve paying first, mind you. ;3)
In other news, I'm excited about the new SL club I am a part of, Club Viber8tions. <3 I will be part of another auctioning (where the highest bidder receives a free sketch from me), and possibly more auctions to come. So, if you're an SL-goer and are curious about that, feel free to attend the auctioning event. :3
That's about all I've got for now. I might update this journal entry later on with more news. For the meantime, ciao!~

A journal update thingy.
General | Posted 16 years agoHaha...journal update. :D Not that folks really read or comment on these, but it's still fun to talk sometimes. :P
It's hard to say whether or not things are difficult for me this semester...My classes don't work me that much, but they're a lot harder, it seems. Most of my stress this semester, come to find, is not really related to homework and studies as it is to people. I'm someone who has to have her personal space from other living things for certain periods of time sometimes - "self-time," so to speak. I keep existing for everyone else and not myself, making me something of an ass-kisser. :B More importantly, though, doing that pretty much drains me emotionally and mentally - and I never do anything for myself anymore, it feels like. This also doesn't help when people I know are upset with me or are busy being emotionally confused and want to start a scene with me (I'm learning to just ignore this behavior and move on with my life.)
I never bother to draw or doodle things for myself anymore, and it's really taking a toll on my drawing skills. I'm noticing that my faces and expressions in my commissions...they all look the same. I miss how I used to draw with various expressions and face types and eyes, back when I actually drew up my own characters.
For my own sake, I think I'm going to take little breaks in between commissions - just draw what I feel like and post it. Not that I'm ignoring the commission, but I need to develop my skills and express myself creatively when inspiration comes. I'm an artist, and that's what artists do - expressing inspiration is like watering a thirsty plant.
...Yeah, I ranted. :B Feels good, though.
In other news, I've discovered the magic of GIMP. I once thought it was a cheesewizzy program, until I installed it...then found out it pretty much had most of what was in photoshop elements. What I wanted most out of it, though, was the pen tool. Because I've learned how to use it, I now have a means of creating digital lineart! Though, I compare it to my usual pencil lineart...and it isn't quite the same. Either way, I'm having fun. :D I think I'll add digital lineart as an option to my commission types.Anyway, my commission status so far is as follows, give or take a few difficulties:
Slot 4:
kusanagi-sama - flat color fursona reference sheet (lineart and editing in progress)
After this, I hope to start my next batch. :3 If you are thinking about commissioning me (I've been getting quite a handful of those curious about commissioning me), please keep in mind that it usually takes me over 2 months to finish a single piece (less if I'm working fast and get lucky with irl matters and such). If you have any questions, feel free to send me a note or message me on Second Life. :> (Or just comment here. :B)
See you around!~

Back in the grinder.~
General | Posted 16 years agoWell, it's back to a new semester for me this spring. xD My classes might be more demanding this semester - it's hard to say. I know that they are certainly taking more time out of my day this time around. x3; Though, I will continue to putz along with my commissions while I can. :3 Chances are, I will not be able to accept a new batch until my summer break - but I'll see how things work out.
Here's the batch status - not much has changed. :P :
Slot 1:
Angelusclawtooth - cell-shaded fursona (finished!) (paid for)
Slot 2:
Cornelius - cell-shade Meian; cell-shade Ninu (on hold) (1st commission paid for)
Slot 3: Amanda Li (SL) - cell-shade mugshot (not started yet)
Slot 4:
kusanagi-sama - flat color fursona reference sheet (not started yet)
If you have any questions about commissions from me or whatnot, feel free to drop a message.~ I've got an up-to-date notecard with commission information on SL, so if you're curious, feel free to drop an IM, and I'll respond as soon as I can. :3

Back on track!~ Winter break is here. :D
General | Posted 16 years agoFinally!
After a few months of toiling around, I have some free time on my hands now. :3 I can get back to my scheduled online lifestyle. This also means that I can get back to work on my commissions! <3 Thanks so much to those who waited so patiently for their commissions! <3
Other than that, I don't have a lot of news. I will have some ignored issues that need sorting out irl, but that's not really gonna eat much time at all. Golly, I'm glad I made a list, because I sincerely didn't remember half of what I was supposed to do after this semester! x.x
Slot 1:
Angelusclawtooth - cell-shaded fursona (finished!) (paid for)
Slot 2:
Cornelius - cell-shade Meian; cell-shade Ninu (cell-shade Meian started - drawing and lineart) (1st commission paid for)
Slot 3: Amanda Li (SL) - cell-shade mugshot (not started yet)
Slot 4:
kusanagi-sama - flat color fursona reference sheet (not started yet)
Commissions are closed for this batch currently. I should be able to open back up again either over spring or summer. :3
If you've got any questions or comments, feel free to ask or tell me.~
# ...This is going to sound ridiculous, but apparently, I've had so much crap jammed into my brain over the semester that I actually forgot how to insert a user icon into a comment or journal. ;_; If anyone could show me again, that would be great! Urgh, I'm miserable now.
====Edit====
Thanks for telling me on how to do that, Dan. xD
# Not only am I forgetting simple things like insertable codes, but I'm also forgetting important skills! Damn you college! Just damn you to hell. ._. I'm going to need to practice some before I can jump right back to my commissions. Ugh, this is real fucking horrible...

Attention!
General | Posted 16 years agoOkay - this news probably isn't news at all, since some of you may have noticed that I've been rather quiet on FA for quite some time.
College has been a bear this semester, and progress on any commissions I am working on currently will come to a screeching halt until December, when my winter break starts up and I get the time to focus more on my commissions. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I have a list of commissions I owe in the previous journal, so nothing will be forgotten. Thanks for understanding!

Commissions Closed! Wait for the next batch. x3
General | Posted 16 years agoWell, the final touches have been made - I'm ready for another batch! I will also be returning to college soon - towards the end of this month, so it may be a while before I get everything completed. Note that I'm very slow with commissions, and it can take a good couple of months or so to do a cell-shaded commission, which appears to be very popular. I haven't done a good colored pencil piece with my prismas in a while...hmm...
Anyway, there's going to only be a few slots open - a total of 4. I'm taking things bit by bit so I don't get overwhelmed. xP
***Message me on SL for pricing info and conditions, since I'm too lazy to post all the information on here for now. :B But I will later. Remember, it's first-come, first-serve! ***
Slot 1:
Angelusclawtooth - cell-shaded fursona (in photoshop)
Slot 2:
Cornelius - cell-shade Meian; cell-shade Ninu (both not started yet) (1st commission paid for)
Slot 3: Amanda Li (SL) - cell-shade mugshot (not started yet)
Slot 4:
kusanagi-sama - flat color fursona reference sheet (not started yet)

General | Posted 17 years agoWell, it's been about 3 months into my vacation. My summer's been sort of busy, considering that I've had family issues to be settled most of the time.
I honestly think I have overconfidence in myself and in time. I'm going to change the way I do commissions, and instead of taking so many at once, I'm going to reduce it to a manageable amount, like 3 at a time. I won't be doing seasonal batches, considering how spontaneous my time-management skills are. owo; Instead, they'll be whenever-batches in small increments.
In the meantime, I will be working on a couple of sketches and possibly some things I make for myself. I will be closed for new commissions for a little while. I start back up to school in August, but I have a lot of crap to take care of in the meantime, so commissions will still run as slowly as usual when I do pick them up.~
However, some tips in getting commissions from me, if you'd like something done a little quicker:
-Commission stuff that isn't cell-shaded (you can also save lindens by doing this. :P)
-Quick sketches are the cheapest and the fastest, but also the lowest-quality. :B They run about 50L or so. I'm going to try sketch with flat color and skip the lineart process at some point as an option. :>
-Art trades are free. But I can't guarantee speed there. :D
-Open Canvas chat stuff is free, considering it falls in the sketch category. Not only that, but you can watch me do it if you're in OC with me. <3
If you have any questions or comments about anything in particular, feel free to ask me. ~

Hanging in there!
General | Posted 17 years agoGeh, I hate it when I underestimate my circumstances. x_x;
First of all, a HUGE apology to the people who are currently waiting for commissions from me. College has not been so kind to me recently, and I was struggling with research papers, essays, and studies. Fortunately, the last essay of the semester has been completed, and I won't need to worry about any heavy-duty work (unless it's studying for the exams) for a while. Final exams of the semester are coming up, and once exams are over, I will be back up and working on the commissions again.
This also means that there will not be spring commissions, but only summer commissions. I feel REALLY, really stupid.
Secondly, due to the reasons stated above, this is why I have not really been on FA. Or SL, for that matter. So I apologize for any late responses on notes and such.
If you have any questions, comments, or criticism, please leave a comment!
Thank you for being patient.
-Sibel

Current commissions/spring commission info. Please read!
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I'm on a roll with my current batch! I've got two left, and I'm getting close to opening for the Spring batch of commissions. Here's my current status:
vonfoxfire - cell shade (in progress) (paid for)
StripeKazama - cell shade (not started) (paid for)
Things are coming along nicely. <3 Now, since I'm getting close to that special journal announcement, I'm going to make a few things clear on my terms and conditions of commission themes, payment info, and commission info. All charges are in Second Life lindens.Regarding commissions and payments:
-Payments may be made whenever you are comfortable, be it before, after, or in small increments.
-Paying before the commission is started or paying more than the price will NOT get your commission finished any faster. I operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, so there's no need in wasting money.
-I am increasing all of my prices by 100L from the previous prices, just because I want a little bit of extra money. >w>; *lame* Please note that my current commissions I am working on will NOT be affected by this price change.Regarding commission themes:
-I DO NOT draw yiff art. Also, don't expect me to draw detailed genitalia anytime soon.~ Cause I'm a tard like that. :P
-I am limited in the amount of fetish-type art I am willing to draw. For starters, I will NOT draw: scat, goldenshowers/watersports, babyfur, hard vore. If there is a different kind of theme that is not listed within the main categories in the browsing list, please message me about it and I will let you know if I am willing to draw it or not.
-Any furry added to a picture will cost an additional 70L. (Does not affect macro pictures.)
-While I will draw innocent lip-to-lip kissing and cuddling, I'm not too keen on groping or erotic situations. If you want to have a specific lovey-dovey pose, please message me about it and I'll tell you if I'll draw it or not.
-If you have any further questions regarding theme, please contact me.Commission types:

Now, I'm including something special in this journal:
As of now, I will be opening for simple sketches! Each sketch will cost 50L each. These will not be as high quality as my Lizard Girl sketch, but they won't be as rough as my avatar, either. xD There are 7 slots. Only one furry per sketch and one sketch per person.

An update...something. :B Please read.
General | Posted 17 years agoUPDATE/EDITajksdtyap;ergabj'rfdigha;dgh THE DRIVER HAS BEEN FOUND! You may now enjoy your regular programming schedule. :> kthxbai.~Hello everyone! :3
Well, do note that I have not forgotten anyone. My life has been incredibly hectic since college started back up for me in January. Switching dorm rooms, fixing the shims in the house and getting new carpeting....etc. It's been very stressful.
Since we got new carpeting down, everything had to be put away into tubs and shifted around the house; this means that I can't really find anything I need, and I've been sick with a sinus infection lately, which makes finishing this season's commissions rather difficult. I will try to finish my commissions hopefully by the end of March. In the meantime, however, I am missing a jump drive with some very important commission data on it...so some commissions may progress and others will be on hold until I can find the jump drive. Just gonna clarify things for my dear commissioners who have been so patient with me and may see things come out in jumbled order. x3;
My current status hasn't changed much and is as follows:
mxgurl89 - flat cell color; cell-shaded (cell-shade in progress)(flat color finished)<---new (both paid for)
vonfoxfire - cell-shaded (in progress)<---new
StripeKazama - cell-shaded (not started) (paid for)
Soooo...yes. I'm moving like snail mail. :> On the other hand, when this batch is finished, I will be open for spring commissions! It's a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you've been intending on commissioning me, get your ideas together and ready. There will be 6 -7 slots open for spring commissions, and commission requests should be posted within the spring commissions journal entry comments section. (Note: This is NOT the spring commissions journal entry. :B )
Same terms and conditions regarding artwork from last journal apply. In the meantime, I DO currently accept art trades and giftart (hurr. :B Who doesn't?). Also, there is a possibility of opening a spontaneous 40 $L quick-sketch special. The sketches won't be like the Lizard Lady sketch, but they won't be as sloppy as my icon sketch, either. xP They're just that - quick sketches. Perhaps when I finish my winter batch, I will open for the quick-sketch special spree.~
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them in here. :3 Thanks for reading!

Commissions closed. Please read final edit!
General | Posted 17 years agoI have a headache today. Other than that, I'm finally out of my first semester of college and on break! HOOT-DAWG!~ This means that I can start up on my commissions again, now that I have practiced a bit with furries and have gotten my skills back. Unfortunately, there are only one or two commissions I remember about....one to finish, and a couple more to start on. If you have made a commission and I have either temporarily rejected or forgot about it, please, by all means, state what you asked for in the comments section so I can write it down and hopefully not forget about it this time!~ Here are the commissions I remember having:
JadeWolf87 - Finished! Enjoy! :3 (paid for)
kusanagi-sama - cell-shaded (finished) (paid for)
mxgurl89 - flat cell color; cell-shaded (cell-shade in progress) (both paid for)
vonfoxfire - cell-shaded (not started)
StripeKazama - cell-shaded (not started) (paid for)
...Yeah, I really don't remember alot. Again, if you've run in with a furry on Second Life known as Sibel Sielbermann and asked for artwork from her, please post your request here. Now would be a good time for me to specify what I can and cannot do. :P :
(charges are in SL Lindens)
sketch: 170 $L
line art: 350 $L
graphite shading: 350 $L
colored pencil (with lineart): 600 $L
flat color cg: $L 700
shaded cell cg: 1100 $L
As far as Furcadia goes...(My account there is Sibel Catluck, of course.):
portraits: 3 GD each
patches: player patch - 8 GD each
object patch - 3 GD each
animated object patch - 5 GD each
Miscellaneous:
(charges here are in SL Lindens.)
printable paper doll (flat CG colors or line art only): 500 $L with two free outfits. Add 20 L$ for each additional outfit.
icons (non-animated): 150 $L, regardless of medium used.
That's all I do for now. I may add more options to the list when I feel like it. xD A quick note I'd like to make, though: although I am currently accepting shaded cell commissions, I would prefer that they be kept to a minimum. They are very time consuming, and I am not that experienced with cell-shading. The same goes with Furcadia patches. Also, on a more important note, I DO NOT do yiff art. Not that I hate it or anything, but yiff isn't exactly my forte or passion, you see...~ If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask! Have a nice day. <3
# Art trades and collaborations are perfectly acceptable! <3
----EditWell, that didn't take long for my list to fill up. xD Once all of these commissions are finished, I will open up again (though don't expect it to be really soon. >>; ) However, I will make a few exceptions! Sketch-type commissions can still be made (refer to my Lizard Lady pic for an example.) So, if you want a sketch, feel free to commission me at any time. :3 Thanks, and Happy Holidays!
---EDIT EDITPLEASE READ, those of you who have requested something from me. My life is getting close to busy again, and commissions are likely to not open up again until the spring. For those of you who have requested something from me, it may not be until sometime near the end of winter for all commissions to be finished - and I can't even guarantee that. >>; (If you haven't paid anything yet and don't feel like waiting, you're free to withdraw the commission or change it to something that would take less time. I've had people get upset and cause drama over long waits for commissions before, and that resulted in my artwork getting stolen. >>; NOT COOL. (It's a long story.) Soo, yes. xD; Forgive the wait. I return to college the 15th of January, and I'm hoping my schedule will not be so busy (the essays from my second English class will not be very forgiving. Same for my next History class. And I'm not quite sure who my new room mates will be next year, but if I ever got my wish, it'd be an open-minded nerd who didn't care about what I did on the internet or what kind of person I was. >>; That, and I hope they aren't as troublesome as last year's room mates from next door...if so help me, if they are like that, I will chuck them out the second story window...*shudders*) Again, if you don't want to wait and have not paid yet, don't worry about making me feel bad by withdrawing the request or anything. xD I just don't want any drama because something isn't being done fast enough. Just thought I'd clear this up for those who have commissioned me and those who plan on commissioning me in the future. Thanks, and Happy New Year! ^^

News of Sibel - Life in the Fast and Slow Lane! :D Goody!
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I'm in one of those rare moods where I'm actually feeling talkative about my life, ideas, and projects. Here we go!~
I'm starting off with college news. Things are finally coming to a close for the semester as the final exams draw near, taking place next week. Unfortunately, this means I will be stuck with my awful suite-mates next door, who share the bathroom between our dorm rooms. What makes them so awful? Well, see, I don't hate them personally...but I do wish they'd quit some of their habits. I don't care for the fact that their sink is dirty and has toenail clippings all over it, but they seem to enjoy giving us a hard time via noise-making after quiet hours and leaving dirty clothes in the floor of the bathroom without even flushing the toilet sometimes. (They've left dirty thongs in there before.) Anyway, they like violently slamming doors rather than courteously shutting them quietly, and they are constantly shuffling boys back and forth from their dorm room late at night. They're the only ones who do it on the whole hallway, and I'm stuck with them. Then they like to have loud sleepovers and turn the volume on the television way up. What irks me is that this is not just an ordinary dorm - it's an HONORS dorm. I'm not quite sure how these miscreants wound up in a place for honor students, who are more concerned with their work rather than partying (many who didn't take work seriously are getting kicked out next semester. I'm hoping my roommates either change rooms or get booted out with the flunkies.) I've already complained about it to an RA, but nothing has changed. But it's the end of the year, so I only have to put up with these bimbos for a few days longer. Thank goodness!
Erm...ahem. I swear, that was the only rant that will be included in this journal. owo; I hope, anyways...
Next, there's my furry agenda. I bought some cheap jersey gloves and took them apart to obtain a pattern make another paw (which I am hoping to use with my fursuit, if they look good enough and fit nicely.) I still have yet to decide which type of eyes my fursuit will have - follow-eyes or plastic bowl eyes. My costume will have a lot more character if the eyes follow, but I'm not quite sure you can see out of those kinds of eyes through the pupils... It's a tricky situation. With my fursuit, I am starting off with a partial of paw gloves, paw feet, the tail and head, respectfully. The body suit will be done last, and for that, I'll need to make the paddings for digi legs and, possibly, to make a very slight emphasis in the breasts to balance the body's proportions out and make it look female. There's a lot of work to be done for it.
Last night, I finally came up with a plot for my webcomic I've been planning since last year! My characters all finally are getting pasts and personalities and roles in the comic. The plot seems a bit on the dark side, though. I don't want the comic to seem "emo," so I don't want the darkness of the plot dominating. I'm not sure whether or not I want to include casual, everyday scenes with a bit of humor on top in it or not. The character designs don't look dark, really. I'm thinking about making my comic a mix of a story and everyday life/events, though I'm not quite sure how that will turn out. The story, minus the everyday humor, goes like this:
Elena, a school-going equine, is just an ordinary girl with some very mixed feelings about her life. She was adopted when she was very young and was raised by one parent, since the other was gone for most of the time. She's always wondering about her purpose in the world and where she was from, and what she should do. She's had support from her childhood canine friend, Jet, who seems to take pride in helping people get on their feet and sticking up for his friends; Sue, a hospitable and strong-headed beautician, also has strong ties with Elena, though she is more of a background character. Elena meets and makes new friends throughout the story, but they all have dark and tragic secrets... One day, a human alien princess named Alemnestas arrives in Elena's town with her knowledgeable dragon adviser, Bane. Alemnestas has come to warn of an impending doom whose key parts lie within the negativity found within each person. This "Shade," as Alemnestas calls it, is born when certain links are made between people who are the "Element Leaders" of its spirit. These elements which must be brought together for the Shade to erupt are Nihilism, Doubt, Fear, Torment, and Discord. I'm not telling who the holders are, since it would spoil the story. xD Anyway, since this story has such a set plot, I'm hesitant towards giving it casual or happy events. Then again, I can probably fit some in, like a bonus or part of the story. x3 I'm horrible with humorous and simple things, anyway.
And, well, that's pretty much all for now. xD I'll make profiles of the beginning characters in the future sometime.~

Yeeeaaah, it's about that time...
General | Posted 17 years ago...Well, there goes summer, now I'm in my dorm at college. xD I go home on the weekends. I'm currently using unprotected wi-fi, just in case anyone is curious about what I'm doing, or the fact that there may be someone with a particular interest in anthropomorphic animals in the same hall. :B Hurr hurr. Never actually got to the fursuit, though I did make a standalone tail. Art commissions are now coming along nicely. <3 (If you've requested a piece from me, note that I'm working on it whenever I get time. I has a flatbed scanner to go with this laptop in this dorm~ >;3 Of course, even so, I may be a bit slow from college work.) As of now, I have around 3-4 commissions, one of which I am doing currently. I'm a little full, but you are welcome to make a commission any time you like, if you're willing to wait a long time, that is... xD Peace out~
# Hurr hurr, it's almost my birthday. :B

General | Posted 18 years agoYes, I'll be graduating in just a few days. Wewt!~ I guess things'll be quite different, seeing as I will not be running back and forth in little hallways but from building to building and all across creation. I'll be college student this fall. But the best part is...I'LL BE MAKING MY FURSUIT! YEEEEHAW! The blueprints in my gallery are not going to be for the suit anymore, since they were created before I really developed my angora cat fursona (I've come to the decision that Sibel's an angora, not a persian. xD) Of course, I have studied very much on fursuits, from scratch construction to maintenance to performance. I want the fursuit to be comfortable and functional, yet stylish. I will require quite a bit of fur, but it's easy, since it's all white. I just need short and high pile faux fur (finding the high-pile fur around town will be a trick...), then some soft pink leather or something. Perhaps pink velvet. I'm practicing with forepaws to get a feel for making the fursuit, since I'm a total novice. I'll be doing more research, definitely, and I'm debating on whether or not to put a brown faux fur wig on her. Real wigs are awful expensive, and the faux fur wigs give the suit a bit of a cuddly, plush feel. I'll be fiddling with different ideas and whatnot... This summer, it'll be me and SoBe energy drinks when I take this on. xD It may be a few years before I attend any furry convention, though...
Expect to see videos of Sibel around the house when I finish! ;3

My first journal entry! Yeehaw!~
General | Posted 18 years agoHeh heh, I seriously need to construct a better profile. Anyway, a great big hello to all my watchers out there! Keep up the fantastic work you all have. ;3 I'm basically going to prattle here about what's going on right now in my life and, moreso, talk about my recent interests.
I've been drawing furries like mad lately, and I think I've developed my own style, since I can produce them quite quickly. xD I've yet to post pictures of myself - a fluffy, white cat. (I want to say persian, except I don't have the squashed-in muzzles that persians have. May I call myself a persian anyway?? lol)
I've been mingling around the place, having discovered Clawcast (quite fun to listen to while you work. :D) and dancing around on IMVU. I can't wait until I can take art requests and trades! <3 ...'Cept I don't accept real money for anything, unless I know you in reality or something.
Moving on --- I've also been listening to the music of an 80's animated movie called "Rock and Rule." I wish I could see the whole movie, it looks so intriguing. <3 I get the urge to make that Thomson's gazelle I drew into a character. I want to make her into a singer! *can depict her on stage with a mic*
If you guys have any questions or if you wanna talk, feel free to ask me via AIM (ladyneko13), IMVU (Catluck), Gaia (Lady Neko), or by e-mail (neko@charter.net), but PLEASE mention in the subject that you are from FA so I know not to place it on Death Row (where the spam goes.) :D
