Its a really nice indepth story of how the movie came to pass involving alot of research and plot changes and such like. And honestly having seen it im glad the film turned out the way it did. I think the collar deal was an unecessary evil. As someone who has seen the school teachr documentary himself, i have seen the effects of labeling certain people as inferior even if the label is meant to be for their own good or whatever. Heck i myself have delt with being labeled and lumped into a specific group. I honestly believe i would not have enjoyed the movie as much as i did and think the way they went with it in the end was better.

These are giant plush boot slippers made by Think Geek. They look really cool so start with having that monter foot look, reminding me somewhat of that lizard bounty hunter guys feet from Star Wars. Think his name was Bosc or something. But the awesome part of these slippers is that they have a speaker in each boot and a pressure pad in the sole which emits a crashing sound with each step of your foot!



I am TOTALLY getting thes when i can. And also if you prefer to be a giant robot or a macro with cybernetic legs they also have these slippers in robot feet flavor which give a nice "Chika-Whirrrrrrrr" sound.

So Happy New Year one and all. 2015 is over and 2016 is upon us, and ive decided to do a bit of a recap of how 2015 was, for me at least.

January

Not much happened for me this month IRL or outside of the fandom. Went to Elliot's Winter Carnival and had nice low key time there

February

Pretty much the same as Janusry, only this time i went to Fursonification in Ft Lauderdale, a nice one day event on the beach as well as the 2015 Ft Lauderdale International Auto Show with  sibirlupus  rieshal and  doubled, AND the Dezer Auto Collection in Miami. Also Road Rovers came out on DVD!

March: Not really much here

April

April perked up a bit for me as i was able to go back to Furry Weekend Atlanta, a con i haven't been to since the 2010 one. I road tripped up with  antimon and while it was great to be back at an old con, alot of personal issues i was having at the time prevented me from really enjoying myself. Another issue i was having was my 2003 Ranger was showing its age. The transmission leaked even after getting it rebuilt in 2011, the air conditioning created its own leak and pretty much went leaving me with luke warm air to use in Florida and it developed an intermittent electrical where the electrics would completely die while starting. Sadly i had to leave her behind and take my mothers VW Passat to FWA, no big as 33 MPG was WAY better than the god awful mileage the towing gears in the Rangers 8 inch rear, and 3000 RPM cruzing revs were giving me. Apparently fate must have seen this and decided to send some good luck my way. Literally the day after coming home from FWA, my father and i went to go look at a possible replacement for the Ford. I looked at a Focus, and a Mazda 5, but ultimately i ended up going home in a BRAND NEW Red 2015 KIA Soul+ with the nitrogen filled tire option. Call me a hamster if you want but i LOVE it! Not only that but a few weeks later i ended up meeting a fellow furry who worked at the dealership i got it at, namely  satoukie Wanna nice KIA go see him!

May:

May was a pretty good month. I turned 31. And i went to Elliot's Spring Gathering which made a nice return to Florida having been in Vegas. It was a nice time tho i was still dealing with the same demons i had at FWA, namely personal and social issues

July: July of course was a good mainly because of Megaplex. No matter what i never want to miss Megaplex. To me it feels like its MY con. Yes AC is gigantic and awesome, yes BLFC as a go kart track on site, but still i find myself unable to miss lil ol MP. This year was super special as the demons i dealt with at FWA and ESG went away when i met  lordnegaduck and his friend  ladyariaa and got to hang with them most of the con, really great people. I also was surprised by Steelclaw Fox when he policed up his 68 Fairlane too look like a drawing i made for him for the cons theme. All in all a fun time

August and September: Not much happened here.

October:

Heres where things got a bit sour as i had to deal with the notice of being barred from attending the Xmas party. Dealt with some pretty bad depression over that and ended up pretty much not being myself when i went to Furloween and Elliot's Fall Festival. Mostly just hung around behind the lights and sounds like a ghost so i wouldn't attract any negative attention. Also went to a fun party my friend  darkwolf72 threw at his place. Had fun there at least.

November:

Again not much happened this month. Went to the Miami Motor Show with  sibirlupus Had thanksgiving with my mother and father. Was still dealing with the depression from the party thing tryin to reason with the powers that be. Luckilly i has support from friends like  darkwolf72  antimon  wolvenwuff  doubled  lordnegaduck,  sibirlupus,  captainfurry and so on and so forth who were there when i needed someone to talk to. And i also wanna thank all the people who gave nice comments on my two journals on the matter. Yu all know who ya are.

December:

Things improved this month, as i was granted access to the party. I went there and actually had a good time overall,my strategy being just to hang out with my friends that i know are loyal, and to take things as they come. The Nerf war was especially fun. That was probably the highlight of the whole weekend. Christmas itself was pretty good. After kind of overlooking it last year (no decor or tree) i thought it would be that way again but my mother convinced me we needed to make it happen and so we spent all day one day buying new decor and lights and what have you, including my first xmas inflatable, a 6 ft tall Minnie Mouse, and using a small tree in a pot my mother is growing as our xmas tree. All in all it was a nice holiday. Finally to cap off 2015 the right way, mom and i do what everyone does on New Years eve;...... turn in her leased VW Passat and go for a 2016 VW Beetle Cabriolet! Quite the zippy lil bug.


Misc:

I guess the other thing about this year was the drama at my work place. We had a couple of managerial changes at work the beginning of the year for my department and the new ones came in guns a blazin. I went from exceeding expectations on my evaluation to needing improvement, a whole bunch of new (on the books but not practiced at our store) rules came up that further complicated things, our store manager has been out for the past few months for surgery during my stores remodel during which i had to come in at 5 AM to clean up after the construction crew, so the ships wheel is spinning about like crazy. Its been rough and stressful and depressing. The drop in my level really hit hard because it could be over a year or two before i get another raise. Kind of makes me feel like the 11 years ive put into my job has been a bit of a waste.

So in summy 2015 has been a bit of a topsy turvy year. Some parts of it were good, other parts great, a few, not so much. Im hoping 2016 will be a better year, at least for me. Con plans are up in the air for me right now. I do plan to hit local events and Megaplex is a definite. I dunno what out of state cons ill hit if i hit any at all.

So the other day i get a text from my friend  antimon telling me i night have gotten an email from the Secret Santa of the Christmas party i had been barred from attending. I check it and apparently one of te people who run it recommended on allowing me to go. So now im able to attend this event in just over a week.

Now i know alot of people will be all "Woo hoo, Way to go. head on up there and have yourself a good time!" But im sure some are "Dont bother going to that. You see how crazy its run and after all the grief they put you through" and the like. Honestly i have considered both of these 2 cents on the matter. In the end i have decided to attend the event and heres why...

First of all, my friends are going to be there and any opportunity i get to be with them i want to take. Secondly ive already dealt with the pain of being home whilst they have a great time up there and i don't want to go thru it again. Thirdly this could be my last time to attend as i run the risk of goin through this crap again next year. And if it happens again im dropping it.

So thats my decision. Im going, im glad im going and hopefully nuthing goes wrong during or after the event.

Banning Followup Journal

So tes been about a month since I got the ban notice from the WFCP Secret Santa. I have had time to think things over, discuss things with friends and family, and also go to a few other furry related events like Furloween and Elliots Fall Festival, which gave me opportunities to sniff around for answers. Un fortunately my search ended up being pretty much fruitless. None of the staffers I asked seem to have any idea about what happened or why, there are two ive yet to confront but im convinced that my search will turn up the same results with them as well. Now whether they are telling me the truth or covering for the accuser or this so called “Secret Santa”, ill never know, mainly because im not aggressive enough to try and pry it out of them, and also because im just not really giving that much of a shit about it anymore. On the other hand I did speak to the person I mentioned in the past journal who punched thru the wall after being non-consentually handcuffed while drunk. He apparently never got a ban notice after that, and also had a friend who was accused of pleasuring himself in one of the hallways, the allegations being false.

In any case I decided that its best to leave it here and not pursue it anymore as it has been simmering and broiling inside me since it happened and has made me really depressed and depressing to be around. At Furloween and Elliots Fall, I found it hard to relax and enjoy the party mood because my head was so focused on finding answers, as well as trying to keep myself in check, treating the events as if they were a Trump Plaza gala social party as opposed to a fur con, which resulted in much less hugging, no pawtography and no paw play, which im sure probably pleased at least somebody there, dunno who. I even missed out on goin to my friend Wild Wolf’s Trick or Treat Haunted House deal for fear of getting in the way and getting too excited to be around my fellow fursuitin friends like Double D, Tilt Longtail, and WildWolf. Even when I went over for the pre Haloween party at his place I spent most of the evening in his room watching You Tube, in an effort to keep myself out of trouble. Its so bad I ended up making plans for other events not associated with furry just to have maybe a smidgen more fun. Thanks to my weekend off work schedule ive been able to go to quite a few car shows, classic, tuner, exotic, etc,. I do seem to worry less and have fun more at these events, mainly because im just into lookin at and photographing cars; plus no one cares if I take pics of their car’s footpaws (wheels). Plus as a bonus I got to meet Vanilla Ice at one of the car shows so….awesome!

So, anyways, ive been trying to move on from this debacle so I can have at least one less stressful thing to think about. I got stuff going on at work, which is being renovated and remodeled during the night so I gotta be in at 5 AM just to clean the floors before opening time. Also im tryin to get full time so I can get better pay and stuffs. While I do try to move on I want to thank my friends who came to my side and supported me thru this drama; you know who you are. Pretty much everyone ive brought this up to agreed that it was total BS and that its just a bunch of unnecessary crap that’s not worth my time. However if by next year the ban is lifted, I MAY….MAY….go back again. But if they pull this again when I make the attempt then im pretty much gonna cut all ties with this event and find something else to do. Honestly though its not an easy decision to make for me considering all the good memorines I have from actually being there. The party itself is fun, and the idea of a dedicated set of floors all rented out for us is a novelty in itself. As I write this though I found another example of why this event is becoming a bit shady. Apparently I got another email from the Secret Santa saying the hotel has records of me caling a couple of times to cancel my reservation. I have done no such thing yet. So now theres people pretending to be me doing things on my behalf . This is really strange and slightly unnerving and all the more reason why I feel I cannot make my presence known at this event anymore.

A lot of people say I should go to MFF this year as the alternative. However its way too close to make any preps for it as the two hotels are booked solid, and its way too expensive for me right now. Ill probably use the time off I had for it to just relax as the alternative plans I was making with a friend ALSO fell thru, which makes this past Elliots Fall Festival my last furry event tentatively for the year, tho theres a possibly alternative Xmas party closer to me that I will most likely attend if I can. In the meantime im just going to focus on more positive things. I have the Miami International Auto Show coming up this weekend, which ill be going to with my friends  sibirlupus,  rieshal and  springstar hopefully, along with possibly more car related events next month. Anything else? Well we’ll see how she goes.

So those of you who know me well enough will remember this post here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3814407/ Where i was temporarily barred from attending an Xmas Furry party in 2012 due to people threatening to not go because of alleged inappropriate sexual advances on my part. I also mentioned how this was done without me being able to defend myself, and how i couldnt settle things with the accuser because they wished to remain anonymous. I basically had no leg to stand on. I was emotionally hurt and distraught because it seemed like they were more just trying to get rid of me than just enforcing some rule on the books. Plus it happened right before the event anyways. No complaints after the last one or anyy other time before hand.

Anyways after that fiasco the ban WAS lifted and i got to go back to the party in 2013 and once again in 2014. I had fun, got to see and hang with friends again in a fun Christmas themed environment. And there didnt seem to be any problems with anyone with no complaints from the Staff or anyone. As a result i thought everyting had ironed out and that things were smooth sailing and i could put the past behind me......yeah. So fast forward to this year. I RSVP in august for the event thinking "Yay Furry Xmas Fun Fun" and pgetting my hotel room and all that thinking how much fun im gonna have.....until the 8th of this month. I go to check the RSVP list to see whos going and my account isnt working when i sign in getting the words "Account is not activated or its blocked". This starts sending the fear thru me and giving me deja vu. So i check my email and sure enough theres an email from the 4th reading:....

"Hello Convoy,
This is the Secret Santa for 2015. I’m new and learning the policies agree to in helping with the event.
We have received a complaint saying you were making inappropriate sexual physical advances and photography to a guest last year. He and his guests will not attend if you are there. I asked the originator of the event and he has mentioned you are always extremely helpful and a great guest. However the SS prior to me had mention there have been complaints in the past and you were on a warning. If this matter can’t be resolved, I have no choice but to suspend your invitation to the event for the comfort and safety of others.
Can you offer any suggestions on how this matter can be resolved peacefully without canceling your invite? You are spoken very kindly of by past organizers.

This already is starting to fray my nerves and making me panic, trying to remember who was at the party, what i did, and who i did it to. All i can remember about any thing of that nature was consentual. Even the photos i took didnt have anything of that nature, the paw pics bein consentual too. And again the trats of the last email were there. Secret Santa Messenger, an unknown complainant, a vague description of myy actions, waiting till im about to attend the next event to throw a shaft into my bike spokes and me with my hands tied. I contact some of my friends and they tell me to respond back defending myself. So i did to the best of my abilities, writing back....

"To the Secret Santa of Warm and Fuzzy Xmas Party.

I am quite displeased with this news and quite dismayed as i was looking forward to spending a weekend with friends at an event held deep in my heart. I am also slightly dissapointed that the decision of banning me would be made despite positive claims from event staff and organizers against the protest of one. I for one am most definitely protesting these allegation as i had at the previous incident mention by your predecessor

This situation and the past one in 2012 (which pertained to my attendance in 2010) have both put me in a state of pure disadvantage. Like the aforementioned case I have no knowledge of the actions i have been accused of making nor am i aware of the identity of the accusing party, and nor does there seem to be any proof of any misdoings other than someone just saying that there is, so i im not exactly sure how i can resolve this issue effectively without that information. In my defense i can attest that, to my knowledge any encounters at last years event AND at the 2010 event were few and of consent. To add to that no alarm or concern was raised by the event staff to me after the event nor by the accuser, and that i was not aware of any wrong doings until i had attempted to attend the WFCP in 2012 and this one coming up.

The only suggestion i can think of is to have the accuser directly contact me so that things can be discussed and possibly negotiated and then rectified. Honestly though if what it is ive been accused of doing is enough for him to warrant not coming to the party, then i see no reason for them to stay anonymous and make these alleged one-sided allegations. Id appreciate a quick response so that the rectification process can begin.

So i waited for a couple of days, even went to another furry party to take my mind off of this and stuff, trying to get into a more positive frame of mind, yet still believing that if this was anything lik last time i know i was gonna be banned whether or not i tried to defend myself. Sure enough yesterday after work i get home and check my email and i got this...

"Hello and thank you for the reply.
They wish to maintain anonymity to prevent any issues of retaliation. Under normal circumstances it would be one word versus the other. However the complaint is almost identical to the complaints made in years past from different people.
This would actually be the 5th complaint of sexual-harassment regarding you. Unfortunately this cannot be ignored as you are already on a warning.
As of right now your membership is suspended until further notice.
We have a reservation for you at the hotel however you will not be permitted to stay or enter in the private event. If you do you will be publicly removed and issue of "multiple reports of sexual harassment " would also be made public. As of now that information stays confidential.
We do recommend peacefully canceling your hotel Reservation with no penalty as you will not be RSVPed for the 2015 event.
Please understand that the event staff itself thinks very highly of you but unfortunately it is a relevant as these complaints cannot be ignored. I'm sure you understand and if you were put in our situation you would be forced into the same decision.
I will do my best to reactivate your account for the 2016 event providing there's no retaliation against the event itself or related issues.

I am literally at a loss for words. I'm pissed off, confused, sad, all kinds of emotions of that nature. I hardly had a ghost of a chance to fix this situation. I was screwed nmo matter what i did. And none of it makes any damn sense whatsoever. What burns me is that not only did they not give me any opportunity to make things right they also made this decision even though the organizers of the event even said they never heard anything bad about me.

Now i know what some of you are gonna say. "Well Convoy this shouldnt be a surprise youve had a rep for bein kind of a clingy bitch around people expecially in suit and people complain when you take pics of their fursuit feet and what not" Yeah well shit it. I know that and believe me when something like this happens i always assume it has something to do with my little social issues. I get it. Im an over affectionate very open paw loving fursuit worshipper and when im around them i get super clingy and what not. However ive been told that ive been improving in that regard and are way better to be around nowadays than others. I'm not denying i have a problem though and perhaps maybe i do need help as one friend mentioned, suggesting i seek possible psychiatric help. Maybe i do and maybe i don't. Maybe its something i can work on on my own maybe its not. I don't know.

In my defense though alot of this stuff doesnt really add up. I mean the complaint of "Innapropriate sexual and physical advances" (which already sounds worse and more like someone else i know) went from that to 5 counts of sexual harassment like this is an office party or some shit. First of all ive only been to the event 3 times so either these counts are representing an event more thn once or some were added on to worsen my apperance. Secondly ive been trying my ass off to improve my image since the first time and no one gave me any grief as later cons about my behavior at this party (I see the same people at other Florida fur events) so for me to have 5 different complaints of inappropriate behavior all of a sudden right before the next one its really suspicious whether not its true or not And honestly if such a thing as excessive hugging or whatever is enough to keep you from going to a party if im there then either your someone with your own insecurities who cant deal with things like this or you're quite a professional drama queen who seriously overreacts to shit and maybe you need to wonder if your in the right fandom.

Dont get me wrong. I know that just because personal space isnt a high priority in this fandom that doesn't mean i can go around hugging people at random willy nilly. But i can say with true confidence that i have improved from the early days of me going to cons where there was a complaint after every con or meet i went to.. Also iits not as if everyone else at this party is the pillar of innocence. I've had people do to me what im being accused of doing. To add to that i know that what ive allegedly done here PALES in comparison to some of the things ive seen at this party (hole punched into a wall, and public vomiting from a balcony onto someones car come to mind right away) Heck i got sucker punched in the gut at this past event for joking around with a fursuiter who showed up for the photo shoot late. All i said was "fashionably late i see" and pow right in the solar plexus. And before you ask, yes there was probably alcohol involved in all these instances. (It dos seem that all you need is booze and/or a fursuit with a dash of popufur and let the magic begin)

Now did i get on a high horse with a stick up my ass and threaten the event with a no show if these people came back next year? No! Why? For one, its a furry party at which this stuff should be anticipated, and two i didnt wanna be seen as a dram queen and honestly i got over it and moved on with my life, someone some people apparently cannot! And yet im sure these individuals will probably be at this party. And mind you this is not a con this is a small event at a hotel with about 20 to 30 people so anything that happens is witness by most of the attendees. And it doesn't even have to be this party i can use as an example. Seems like every con theres a couple of furs, suiters or not who fill themselves to the brim and stagger about the con or whatev doin silly stuff and are still able to come back year after year after year. And if their in suit they hardly get in trouble at all. Now tho it seems we've come to a head with RF and Oklacon.

So in conclusion, while i admit to haveing my associated short comings i believe what transpired here is nothing more than favoritism in a private party. Its either this person is a hater or someone who i guess i left a not so gret impression on in the past, who wanted to go to this event but didnt want me there and made a bunch of stuff up, or perhaps its someone who took my behavior completely out of context and completely overreacted with these complaints or whatever. And my paranoia often makes me fear that because i know alot of the people who go there often, whoever did this might be someone i know.

And so as a result of all this i have made the decision not to attend this party ever again. Its easily a display of furry eliticism and popufur where someone like myself who isnt either of thse things could be messed with like this in favor of someone else. Because lemmie tell you, if i was runnin this thing and someones threated a no show using only word of mouth against another fur id be like "Bye then. Dun let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya". Maybe once the event rolls around, MAYBe ill re attend. Till then whoever is going, have a safe fun time and stay outta Santas crosshairs. And to the fur who got me banned? Hope it was worth it.

Considering how long racing games like Forza and GT have been around it really surprises me how while certain makes are substantially represented by many many models, there are still makes that only have one or two cars in their roster like Buick (Just the Grand National and recently the GSX). So theres my list. Now I know some will criticize me on “Oh, Most of those aren’t even performance cars! They don’t belong in a racing game!” Or “That’s WAY too many cars to put in Forza!”

Ok first off there are, and have been, PLENTY of cars in Forza that have no racing pedigree (1959 Cadillac and Ford Country Squire come to mind as well as GMC Vandura) so that argument is invalid right there. If it were all racers it would be kinda like every other racer out there. Second of all, no it is not too many. Gran Turismo has over 1000 cars in its line up, so there no reason why Forza Cant either. Maybe they just choose not to which I can understand, even tho they still have less than Forza 4. And im not staying they should put ALL these in Forza 6 right now. This is mearly a suggestion list of previous and unused cars to implement either in this game or later instalments of Motorsport or Horizon.

Justice Crew? Meet Justice Fur!

Ive pretty much completely organised my main gallery. My Forza cars are still in my scraps due to FA's policy on game screenshots, but that just helps to organise. I like this system tho as it allows better organization and allows for people to look at what they want to see.

So Megaplex has once again come and gone, bringing with it another 365 day gap between it and the next Megaplex to come. It was a fast paced weekend of furs, fursuits and fun, the latter of which i had been struggling to do the past few events ive been to. For this con i decided to just have fun for my sake instead of worrying about everyone elses good time, things i had done at FWA and Elliots. While it meant i had a drama free con (mostly), keeping to myself, hoping plans go thru led to a really cold experience with a few warm patches here and there. As it turned out i had a much better experience this time and had way more fun, thanks to alot more positive stuff happening that made it a great weekend. So instead of giving a run down of each day of the con i think ill just highlight some of the more positive events that happened for me over the weekend.

1. Meeting and cuddling with new frienda.

I was looking forward to this con weekend because i wanted to meet some friends ive only known online so far. One of them was  lordnegaduck and his girlfriend  ladyariaa. They were really sweet and invited me to thir room to hang out and snuggle each night. I got to cuddle with THIS cutie http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16742432 and this cutie! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17330894/ and got two pairs of paws in my face. Even brought my friend  antimon with me one night and we all had fun. So yeah definitely happy wuffy in that regard.

2. Life Imitating Art.

As most of you know i like cars and so draw or render furry themed car designs which youll find in my gallery. Also you might have seen this pice i made for my friend  steelclawfox2000 of his 68 Ford Fairlane http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17154783/ Well you can imagine my surprise when he told me he had done THIS http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17304649/ I was literally over the moon seeing this in person. People who ive made cars for in the past have jokingly said they would put my design on their crs, something i shared the laughter with anyways. But for someone to actually do it? Man thats one hell of an honor.

3. A Successful Auctioning

So i had posted pics of cop cars i made for the Cops and Robbers Con theme including a large double themed cop/robber car and a semi truck which went into the charity auction. Now i get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that so far my car offerings have brought more money towards the CARE foundation than what they cost when i bought them, in this case both cars went for $200 for the set! I couldnt be happier!

On top of all this i really loved the participation of people in the con theme. There were so many cop furries and rober furries running around. I myself was Sheriff Convoy with my six guns at the ready. But there were much mor cooler ideas. For example  playbill here was walking round in his cop uniform and blue light on his head handing out tickets. I myself got one for an unwarrented hug and got a slap on the wrist (Even though i insist i asked for consent first and will challenge this ticket!!!!) And of yourse there was the ever so smexy Officer Pounce Panther the MP mascot looking so good in his uniform!

So all in all this was a really great weekend. Im soooo looking forward to next year. I mean...we have a freaking Embassy Suites hotel...to OURSELVES!!!! How badass is that. I so cannot wait to go to this thing and have a blast! So far my con plans are up in the air rght now for the rest of the year. Most Like well be doin Furloween and the Elliots Fall Festival and so on and so forth!

And Bugs Bunny is still one of the sexiest cartoon lapines there ever was.

So once again i shall be attending Megaplex this year. Im roomiing with my friends Antimon and Heidi. This has pretty much been the con i refuse to miss having gone to it consistently since 2008. I cant wait to see my peeps and pals there and give huggles and possibly the odd paw rub or two. I will once again be bringing a brace of model cars i will be giving out to the Funday Pawpet Show guys as well as two vehicles which are going into the charity auction so be on the lookout for those. Pics for them have been uploaded to my gallery. I also plan to take part in the theme of the con this year so be on the lookout for Sherriff Convoy this year.

I hope to have alot of fun at this con and really make the most of the weekend. Been having a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride at work the bast few days and i definitely need some time away from the stress. So who else is goin and whos paws will i get to rub XD!!!!!

So who else shall i be seein there?!

So FWA has come and gone and i actually managed to return as some may have seen that weekend. It was a new venue at the palatial Marriott Marquis (Yes the Hunger Games one) and the opportunity came where i was able to attend after 4 years of missing out. It also meant a bit to me as FWA was my first con when i started going and thus my first real furry experience. So how was it you ask? Well...

Thursday:

This day started waking up at  antimon 's place and loading up my moms VW Passat which i took as my trucks A/C was giving out and i wasn't about to do 7 hours of driving with no AC. Heck no. So we loaded up the car and gassed up hitting the road around 1 or 130 PM. The drive up was fun and since i had a car with AUX ports and Bluetooth Antimon and i got to jam out alot more. Plus the car got like 33.2 MPG all the way so we ended up in Atlanta with a quarter tank to go. Upon reaching th hotel though it was a madhouse. The ramp was jam packed with people and cars trying to offload. To add to the chaos two ambulances pulled up right behind us (non con related incident). So there Anti and i are with bellhops valet guys and EMS running around. We manage to find ourselves a bellhop who was real nice and apologized for the zoo and hed hook us up blahblahblah, same with the manager. I tipped them both and they put our stuff on a dolly and over to a waiting area while my car was valeted. We were supposed to have our stuff split and sent to two rooms but were sent to Antis room so i had to go up and get my stuff back to my room. We had dinner at a Chinese place and just spent the evening walking round and that was it.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

So these 3 days are being lumped together because i pretty much did the same thing each day which was walk around the con, eat, meet people, take pics and stuff. However there were a few things, "plus" moments in fact that broke up the monotony. I went to a motofurs meet hosted by Captain Otter which was fun! I attented  tiltlongtail 's panel and saw the debut of his Candyman video which i helped make. That was so fun! I suited up and did the fursuit parade which was cool though it took FOREVER to get out of the ballroom. Hehehehe. I attended the Elliot's Spring Gathering Dinner for people who were planning to attend the event come May. I helped my roommate  stardustfur get some pics of his Nyota lion fursuit dressed up as a hipster complete with Starbucks cup and Apple notebook. Finally on the last night while roming the con i was asked for an interview with  hedgehogoalie in regards to FWA and my con history and so on which was fun as he interviewed me in suit. Later on i ran into  wolvenwuff who i had been seeing the night before and we ended up roaming the con together with him in suit. Such a cute little wolfy, and just being by his side as his handler made my night.

Monday:

The day started with the rapid hectic emptying of con goers from the hotel, no emergencies just the equivalent opposite of Thursday. Antimon and I said goodbye to our respective roomies gathered our stuff, picked up the car and started the journey home. We spent most of the drive talking about the con and stuff and jamming to tunes and stuff. The weather was bad from south Georgia to central Florida driving through storm after storm, concluding at Antimon's parents house. Despite a hasty emptying of his stuff from the car i still ended up in another storm as i headed back home.

Pros and Cons:

+ Getting to meet new furs that ive only known online till then such as  sammystowes ,  XepherSicarius ,  rontao2 ,  artie ,  gemini1 ,  destiniihusky, etc etc etc

+ Seeing friends i usually see at other cons like  galefrostbane ,  tiltlongtail ,  wolvenwuff ,  eaglebeagle ,  starrik ,  grandmaster ,  kryphosdrgn etc.

+ Getting to meet Lucky Yates, AKA Kreiger on Archer.

+ Seeing Tilt's videos.

- Like with most cons lately, the elevators were a huge issue taking so far long due to 3 events happening at once that waits wer like in the 20 minute range and having to go up to go down or vica versa.

- Giving gratuity to hotel staff expecting better than what i experienced

- Spending alot of time at the con by myself just roaming the 3 cloors of con space taking pics. Didnt really hang with anyone i met or saw again or whatever, except for the random sit with someone for a few minutes and of course the walk i took with Wolven Sunday night.

Overall:

This con weekend was...well...mixed really. On a scale of 1 to 10 id have to rate this a 6 or 7 at most. And before i explain i will spare the usual elevator and con logistics issues because that's been done to death by everyone else. When i was deciding to go to FWA i sort of signed up with my heart rather than my head. I was driven by memories of the past 4 FWAs i attended not realizing just how big its gotten and how many people have in fact stopped going. Alot of the people i know from this con weren't there this year so it was a bit of a let down. There were even people i knew that went that i never got to see like  wayajarrard etc. But honestly i think the biggest issue that weekend was me. I decided that i wanted this to be a drama free con for me in that i would be as behaved as i could so no one would have a reason to complain about me as with past events. For the most part it paid off as i had no real complaints from anyone about my behavior. However my plan for keeping myself in check meant really keeping to myself and busying my time with photo taking and con wanderings and often handling for  stardustfur. In the end most of my interactions with people was random greetings and hugs and things of that nature. I didnt spend an extremely long time with anyone there, didnt bring anyone back to my room nor really hung out in anyone elses, I was mostly a passing ship in the night.

Don't get me wrong though. Just being there for me was a plus cuz it was much better than not going and working. I love an opportunity to go to a furry con or meet when i can. I guess im just so used to being more outgoing and affectionate and such like, even though my lack of knowing when to stop being that isn't winning me any favors. I need to somehow find a perfect balance so i get what i want without the fallout. As to whether or not ill go back to FWA though, i cant say. I mean its gonna always be special to me though it felt like the magic it had for me has faded somewhat. Its not the airport hotel con i remember it to me anymore and even at the Hilton it still had a not so huge feel to it. Plus the issues which led people to hashtag it #CrimeCon I.E. thefts and cars impounded or stolen is kind of a put off even though its something you expect in a big city. But i have a whole year to decide if i wanna go back and before then i have Elliots events Furloween and Megaplex to look forward too so its all good.
