I hope this journal finds you all well. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my artistic journey and the progress I've made in drawing my comics.

Over the past few months, I have been dedicating a lot of time to improving my art skills, and I am content with the progress I have made. I really gained some momentum drawing on with the short comics, and I can see there's a direction building in my drawings with each panel I complete. It's an amazing feeling, and I am glad I'm again getting through the challenges and continuing to grow as an artist again.

However, with all the excitement of my comic series, I've decided to take a break from selling my work in dealers dens and focus on simply enjoying the few furry cons I'll go this year. It's important to me to focus on my personal growth and the joy I get from creating my art, rather than the financial aspect of it all.

I want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement, it means the world to me. I look forward to sharing more of my work with you all in the future, and I can't wait to see where my artistic journey takes me next. I'm trying to get more focus into it all with less sidetracking.

I already dove head first into the world of game development and decided to test the waters using the godot engine. And let me tell you, it's been quite the adventure so far! I've already made a little prototype of a metroidvania featuring a 20 strength, 1 intelligence kobold that can jump and hit things. I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the fact that I finally get to bring my kobold character to life or that I get to watch it make the walls shake when he hits a wall. Either way, it's been a wild ride so far and I can't wait to see what other wacky creations I'll come up with in the future!

Sooo, first Blog entry ever using the power of the Posty Birb! So what happened last month and beginning of this?

Personal
Got a new dayjob, definitely an improvement over the last one. Finding more time for myself and art again already, also feeling better mentally! Also got a new TB3 Laptop from a Dutch Clevo retailer called Skikk. Really nice device, the TB3 of the PC50DP works nicely with Lenovo Docks. Everything is pretty much perfect except for the backlight and the fans but that's okay for the price and having it preconfigured with nice stuff like best thermal paste :D Getting a third monitor and the battle station gotta be Endgame :D

Zine
As much as I would love to post the seven finished Inked & Colored pieces I've done for the fourth installment of our zine, I cannot since it's unfair for the Indiegogo backers. :) Gotta polish those a bit further and such. But I'm so stoked for the coloured edition.

Personal Comics
I'm in process of inking the 6th page of my Comic "Old Man's Treasure", you can find the first five pages on FA. Also Started inking the first page of my Battle Beast Fancomic! Hope I gotta get to posting at least Page 1 before the hype in the Barasphere is gonna take off real hard x) It's basically a fanfic comic featuring Battle Beast from invincible and Mercenary from Grimoire of Zero. Hope you enjoy x)

Hype of the Month
Oh boi, they really hit home with Invincible! It's a refreshing change from the really watered down experience you get from most animated superhero series. I'm so stoked to see more Battle Beast. As they are pretty close to the comic original with minor changes, I'm really looking forward to how they will adapt the rest of the comic content (which I devoured) in Season 1 and 2 (which is totally announced!.

I gotta have two questions:
- Have any of you already watched invincible season 1? If so, what would you like to see me draw besides Battle Beast? Maybe some of Captain Mustache? XD
- Would you like If I'd start a Support Campaign helping get my comics get colored (faster) after the BW pages are finished? Of course I would never dare to take money/even start the campaign if the Comics/Chapters aren't finished yet in BW at least.

So I have been owning a Telegram Group and Discord server but decided to close those. I've put in a PSA after the fact so to hamper people archiving it for possibly malicious purposes.
Reason being that I just can't keep them running anymore in a fashion that it is fun anymore. Though what I'm doing at the moment is that I'm more and more going into the field of collaboration, which I noticed helps me carrying the loads.

Commissions & Raffles
I don't know at this point when I'm gonna open commissions again or open a raffle, sorry. But definitely plan to get back into the loop.

Equipment:
Flipped a lot of my old and/or unused stuff in order to get an XP-PEN 24HD and also a laptop with TB3 so I can (hopefully) seamlessly switch between work and my own laptop.
Drawing with the XP-PEN24HD is so much fun! <3

Activity in General:
I am in the process of changing my DayJob again to one in my city and with much better pay/work ratio and I expecting to be able to create more content again.
Though I've been pretty busy with art still, but posting flow fell completely flat. Also just finished moving and adapting to the new place.

Hey, so a new status update for this month!

- Furvester comms are almost done, only one left todo at 95%.
- Will probably set up some YCHs for the second issue of Bound for Glory, stay in tune for that!

It's been a bit quiet here recently around me. I wasn't inactive though! Have been super busy with my day job and prepping for Furvester. Which was, all in all a super great experience.
So it was my first time ever going to such an event in order to celebrate new year's eve, but it certainly won't be the last time. This pretty much was the best Sylvester experience I've ever had.

I was dealing at the Dealer's then there which was a really nice experience, got along with the other artists and crafters quite well. It was also interesting how this smaller con had a different dynamic as opposed to the EF DD, again I got my commission slots full to the brim. Was also my first time ever having a full day of dealer's den (Afterdark EF ist only part time days), but it was okay :D

Also: It's definite that I'll be holding an art panel interactive speech about things that might help people improve as artists (skill and mentality-wise) and also about the hustle which people also seem to struggle.
So If you want, you can also drop here what you might want to know about these two topics. Like what you'd like to have included regarding these topics, I've already prepped something but some extra input might not hurt :)

Gladly I got a room booked inside the Estrel hotel! Will try to get into the art show again, but most probably won't even apply for the DD this time at all since at EF23 I noticed that I just won't have the time for that and want to party more. Just doesn't make much sense for me. I'm most probably not worthy anyways, wonder how I even got into the art show last year and actually got recognition for that by people where I thought "why the hell did they even care?"

Will also hold a panel this time, it will be geared towards artists but if you just want to attend it you're free to do so. I'll be sharing my experiences on how to improve as an artists, mainly focusing on mindset and less on technique. I feel like a great deal of it really depends on how we go about it, lots of psychologics going on.

There's something else I'll be contributing to though: Snofag (on twitter) is planning to do a collaborative Zine. It'll be a small A5 book with some lewd BDSM B/W pictures in them, you most probably have seen these kinda things already at EF's dealer's den).
Will also maybe do an YCH for a drawing which will go into that Zine, will start pretty low since it's just inks and idgaf tbh. The auction winner will also get a printed version of the zine. Keep your eyes out for that.

Christmas' over, really had a blast with the family of my BF, ate turkey and had a lot of fun with the Google home we gave the host (his brother). They literally couldn't stop goofing around with it.

We also now have Google Home, these things are really awesome. I esp. itched to buy one for a long time since I like having an internet radio but for some odd reason these have a problem where the wifi interferes with the audio. Google home is way smaller and has way more possibilities for streaming. But also having a smart alarm clock without havng your phone besides your bed is also a big plus (banished my smartphone from there so I won't pick it up then I want to sleep)

Also got a chromecast now, these are awesome too! Reactivated my Netflix account one day before expiration, lucky :D

Directly bingewatched the whole two seasons of "Dark". Someone told me it starts slow, but after episode three it gets soooo crazy! Like whoah, really crazy for a german production. Like some of the better Tatort episodes on hollywood steroids. Can only recommend watching this.

After that we also Binged "The Glitch", it's also pretty crazy but way slower than what you'd expect from that scenario. I loved how they build up the characters and their stories, really touching.

Binging Series is rare and I usually so that once or twice a year, too busy arting and other kinds of work x)

Slowpoke Loque! Wanted to write down a journal about my experiences since three weeks but the week flow kinda kept me! So here it finally is, the experience of my first ever Furry Con!

Travel/Arrival: So the travel there went pretty smooth, we had the ICE to Berlin which we stayed in the whole 600km of distance. Getting to the hotel was also pretty easy, it's just one of the buses.
I'm actually glad we arried there on monday already. There were already a lot of people there! Not many we already knew but there was  blainebordercollie who is always nice to talk to.
Monday to wednesday were pretty much party all day, also explored the city a bit were in a diner and also in the Berlin Animal Park with  zephyrfrost and a couple of other people.

The only bummer: I rekt my Surface Pen V3 while being in the train, watch out not to put them in the wrong way! Bought a Bamboo Ink, these Pens are an awesome alternative!

During the Con: So during the con I was mostly Busy doing art stuff. Hung around a lot with  werwoz, the restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel are also pretty nice. Been to the Life Drawing panel run by  scale which made me decide to finally buy a pair of glasses, I couldn't make out any features on  stigmata 's body (at that point I wasn't aware that one of the models was in fact him!)
Getting to the Panel in time was a close call, had to hang my pieces inside the artshow. There were people having needed three hours for that and I was like *wooosh* and left a bunch of images on the walls so I won't miss drawing naked people x)
Before that I was at the artist alley, luckily someone left after I was going there and I could build up my stand. On the second day I went there earlier and got the chance to sit between my awesome people  xiara  lunakia and also later  kapviq (the #1 bestest Larry, yoo)
Sales were surprising in some way, the prints in the artshow sold very well and I also got my commission slots full with sketches pretty quick in the alley. Also suprised about the feedback I got from other artists. Also met  pattarchus there, he was one of the people supervising the Artist Alley. And also got this super nice caricature of me by  nisrii!

Also had a nice round of DnD with  kelarod,  peachythe-lynx and midnight flow. Roleplaying like that is really valuable for art! Hope we can sometime continue doing that.

Been also visiting panels of  stigmata and  jeanwoof. There I finally met  caraid, she is really a super nice person! Really awesome to talk to. And don't forget  cocofox, that guy is soooo much fun, you really have to meet this crazy french guy totally had a blast every time I saw him which was pretty often xD Really interesting how some of the people you meet three times a day xD

So, I hope you enjoyed reading my impressions of the con! If I missed out something or someone, I'm very sorry! I've met so many awesome people at some point I simply lost count and don't know where to put them all xD Just feel loved whoever you are ;D
