In short:
recently TikTok "creators" talk a lot about the furry-anthro market, the Furaffinity in particular, and how easy it is to trace porn, draw some animal faces on top and make 5-7 USD per picture. This is truly devastating as this damped the market so much, many of my friends can't pay for their rent/pet food/university anymore, as we rely on FA income a lot
Please support creators that don't have enough attention or whom commission/YCH slots are not selling, don't fall for the low priced commission, as much as I understand why - you're harming the market in long perspective
As we are forced to lower the prices, we'll have to spend less time on commissions, which will lead in dropping the overall quality and splitting the market into enormous amount of cheap and low quality stuff and giants that'll be unaffected and will ask for a higher price since they're only ones who could make high quality art
And please share this journal or the one I linked, tell your friends about this problem If we don't want FA to become a second Deviantart.
This is my personal trust-worthy list of artists and almost all of them are struggling right now, please support them!

As I need money but can't work much (and would prefer to focus on older commissions if I do) I'm going to start a collab YCH sale as I have plenty of unused sketches and plenty of people wanting to work with me

COMMISSION STATUS
Posted 4 years agoIf you didn't commission me anything there's nothing here for you
So, some of you still sending me notes about the status of your commission. I may had not respond to some of them. Because I can't tell the same thing over and over. I'm no scammer. I just had problems with procrastination. Your commission was not forgotten, it's just piled up in a long queue
I have my problems solved though! Mostly. I can 90% surely call myself a no-procrasinator now, that's good news, both for me and for you
So as a final strike I'm going to clear my queue list before summer ends. That's still quite some time to wait, but as I have around 30 entries, I think that's a good balance and I won't burnout in the process
That includes all the YCHs, all collab YCHs (though here I can't be so sure as my collab partner could hold for their part of the work for some addittional time), all commissions. I'm finally ready to finish this mess
I don't have any warranty though. I could totally fail and I don't have anything to compensate. I think almost all of you would want to see the art, not a refund. So I can't really promise anything, but this is a plan I'll try my best to hold up to.
I hope that'll clear some of your questions about the status of your commission and me as an artist in general. I'm sorry that you were unfortunate enough to commission me exactly. I hope it'll be worth waiting just a little bit more. Thank you

BOOSTS NO MORE. This is the last
Posted 4 years agoApparently, I got another burnout, this time not from my main work which is drawing things, but from other work I obliged myself into - helping others raise their FA accounts and get decent money
Just to make sure - no one ever forced me to. I got myself into this, people told me I should stop and help myself, I didn't listen properly and felt that it's some sort of my destiny. And here we are
YCH and commission slots boosts were not something hard to do, it's a quick and easy help. I never felt it was overwhelming. But now I do. So I'm shutting off the boosts for some time
I'll try to rest from everything for about a week and then just return to my first responsibility - my own (non-collab) commissions and YCHs.
You might see a few collabs popping out, those are just to maintain myself in terms of money
Already sold collabs will still get finished meanwhile, don't worry
It is time I'm admitting I not only need help, but I'm willing to receive it. You all can do your little to help me and bunch of small artists grow and get attention they deserve (and rest that I deserve)

UPDATE ON MY COMMISSIONS/YCH STATUS
Posted 4 years agoHonestly, I did not improve much yet. I'm still a mess. And that's no good
I keep telling myself that no one need my words, they just want my art. If I hold commissions that long, any word would be just another excuse
But I just thought it might be good to at least let people know of my status
I try my best to find a solution, which in itself is a procrastination excuse (in other words - googling how to solve a problem when you can just do things and it'll solve itself)
But yeah, unfortunatelly I have this grey matter blob in my head that doesn't let me do what I have to because dopamine is much tastier
I found out some ways to make things better though, one of which is committing into brainstorming with clients, feeling their involving. I should try that
But overall my situation isn't any better at this point. And maybe at some point when my mind will no longer have faith in finding a solution, it'll have no other choice and just stop trying to find any easy way. I mean, I'll do everything I have to, eventually
So yeah, if you still waiting for your commission or YCH, I'm very sorry that you have been unfortunate enough to invest your money and time into me specifically. I try not to feel guilty because it won't change anything but it's hard not to
I may try setting some deadlines for myself later, but for now I don't want to stress myself much since I already experiences several burnouts which again, doesn't help at all
I'm open for a refund if you'd like it more than waiting more. It'll be totally understandable and I'll try to provide the refund as fast as I can
If you'll choose to wait though, I can promise only one thing - eventually, It'll be finished. I know it's not very cheering. I try not to promise what I most probably won't be able to do

Posted 5 years agoI wasn't able to look through the commission requests yesterday, but today I looked through them and chosen some!
There are also those that I won't draw, mostly because I don't like the characters
Right now working on sending the invoices for all the chosen requests

Possible 3D commissions?
Posted 5 years agoOver the years I not only drawn pictures, I also practiced a lot in 3D. And I'm quite experienced to make a full 3D model of any character, basically
And I thought maybe anyone would be interested in commissioning a 3D model. That will include the mesh, textures and rigging too, but also 2 free rendered shots of the model in any pose you like and addittional payment for extra shots
I was thinking of raising the price quite high for that, since it'll require hours and hours of work. Around $500 for nude + $100-200 for outfit + $20 for each rendered shot, I think? With possible extra payment for an animation too
And the overall quality that I can provide - I don't have proper examples to show you that were done by me, but I can show you some that were made by other people.
By quality I mean mesh topology density (so it'll be relativelly low-poly), hand-painted textures, amount of details too (there are many super dense works in terms of outfit and props, I think I'm not ready for that yet)
