My gift to myself this year is clarity. Focus, intent, legacy, passion, devotion, duty, want, need and a definition of self in the aspects of worth, potential, familial and friend.

I set a goal for myself at the beginning of 2016 to have a completed board-game/card-game system for December. Though I did not achieve that goal I would say I accomplished about 85% of it. That in mind, I have a few set for 2017 that I will also be focused on achieving as well. The clock is ticking.

The Video Game team is forming. In the mean time, I am working on a Board-Game/Table-Top RPG version that has all of the mechanics vetted out: now a matter of completing the puzzle.

Video-Game Footage Showcase Available for 2018-2019
Kickstarter 2018-2020

For the Video Game we currently have 4 Single-Player experiences/stories available and a guaranteed Multi-Player Experience.

I am doing my best to put all of my commissioning towards the game/setting moving forward.

I will say that having a full time job on top of working on this project some 4-5 hours a day can get very exhausting; but every day I have off I'm up early just to dive in.

So, a word came to me last night in writing that I decided to use it as a label for a type of dark magic. Laying in bed I spoke the name in my mind as I was (as I always do) running over what I wrote today and I was bombarded by rather intense and terrifying images with no prior prompt of horror subject. I later looked up the word to discover it's an actual word that exists, in Latin and it means "Wicked/Forbidden Act."

I've heard of the term "Words of Power" and I have to say, it begs an extreme curiosity as to the validity of words that carry factual strength. I won't provide the word for the reason of what it may actually do, superstition or otherwise. Needless to say it provided some writing inspiration in itself, but it made it for a long night of trying to fall asleep.

As a Capricorn, (which is also the zodiac I based the Devil race off of) life is a constant stretch of broken hearts and hurt feelings in your wake. It's the price of being an Earth Sign (Taurus & Virgo will understand) and having a greater foothold and control over your own emotions and feelings. This is often interpreted as having less feeling or even no feeling but that is untrue. I'm sympathetic and I am empathetic, it's just that half the time I think you're being weak and or pathetic when you let your emotions and sensibility get the better of you. I'm not unfeeling, I am a romantic, I protect and care for those I consider within my pack and I'm an artist with passion to bring forth my dream into this world. However Time is precious, my most valuable asset and I'm not going to waste it crying on someone's shoulder nor am I going to waste it being a shoulder to cry on. Will I listen to your woes and help you? It's possible as long as you don't make a habit of it. But I make it a point to not keep toxic people in my life and if you have a pattern of "woe is me" whining, arguing, drama, etc. than I'll simply remove you from my life. It's not that I can't handle conflict, on the contrary I'm very articulate and dare say devilish/cunning when it comes to debate, BUT I try to surround myself with POSITIVITY, not NEGATIVITY. There's enough awful in the world being blasted on television but I have the convenience of being able to turn the Net (I don't watch TV) off.

In short, Earth Signs in particular often get a bad name for our unfeeling, but in truth we just don't want to deal with the drama and the bullshit because there are more important things in the world. I often find myself with this mentality in many aspects. I'm an Agnostic, I don't have time to deal with religion, what I write about religion is far more fascinating then someone's fanaticism with a god or the hate of a god. I'm non-political as well. The 2 party system is shit and corporations have a stranglehold on politics anyways so it's simply not a part of my daily function to worry about which president is going to be the next to go up in front of the firing squad for the next 4 years. I have more important things to do with my life than worry and life is more important than to spend it being upset or hateful.

We were not born in this world to pay taxes and die. We were meant to lead lives dedicated to happiness and fulfillment. We were not OWED this, life doesn't owe you ANYTHING. BUT we are created to do great things and we are capable of great things, to settle for anything less is a mechanic that's been imposed upon you by controlling powers and institutions; rise above.

So I was watching a video from "Big Think" on facebook, showcasing a British comedian Ricky Gervais talking about the moment he became an Atheist at the tender age of 8. So half way thru the video my dog starts barking like crazy and I hear someone on the porch. I go to check, there's someone out side my door. I eek out and he introduces himself, he knew who I was (small town, I'm a part of a family business, etc. not surprising) and he asks me if I am familiar with the bible and if I know about the kingdom of god. I'm a polite dude, I'll be honest: I'm not crass, even if you say something that I find distasteful or not of my beliefs, Unlike the current internet crowd, I don't find it appropriate to beat you over the head about how my view is different from yours. He confessed that he was sorry that I wasn't interested in the bible and I told him don't be, I write about the subject at great length and I am very happy with my life. But I just politely declined and wished him to enjoy the rest of this beautiful day.

So hilariously, as I'm watching a video about a comedian atheist, I get someone stopping at my house offering to talk about god.

Told this to a bunch of my co-workers and they were like "Well I would take that as a sign" and I said "you're right, I need to sin even MORE now just to wash away the light" ;)

Not everything works out the way we intended or even the way we want. I'm less of a "let it happen" sort of person and more so a firm believer in that the path we walk is forged by our own hands, our own blood. For now, what I can say is that I have no fear, no regret and a lot of heart. I look forward to what 2016 has to offer me but I look even more forward to the path that I will forge. My only flutter of hope in the back of my mind is that in 2016, I may not have to forge that path on my own ^-^

The reason why this is great is that it helps us get the word out. It helps spread the D.I.S.E. project and when we FINALLY get on kickstarter, we'll have a good following to push this forward out to the masses! *bounces* So I absolutely appreciate and thank each and every one of you for your attention (however focused or fleeting) and your continued support.

Having said that, I'd also like to thank the artists who have helped me in creating, designing and furthering the development of this project and the characters that reside within.

Although I absolutely value all of the artists who have been so kind and wonderful to work with, I do have a few individuals who I need to thank individually for their critical part that they have played in these developments and I will be reaching out to all of you.

Good news everyone, my EXTREMELY neglected sister Nithe is getting her own pin up piece by the very talented  wolf-nymph. I do my absolute best to not let any of my lovelies go wanting but it has been truly too long since my sister has gotten any proper love. I especially haven't had enough variations of artists to work on her either.

With  wolf-nymph's style, her art is some of the most realistic that I've ever encountered so I truly am excited to see what she ends up looking like.

Not that my opinion is being asked; but there is a strong application that could be put forward to alleviate a lot of the harm being experienced in the world lately. Do away with Gym class and implement martial arts training.

You would be surprised how many master martial artists would love to have a steady pay and be able to get their teaching out into the world. The amount of self-discipline, focus, awareness and situational training would be infinitely valuable and could be implemented as early as kindergarten (I've taught 4 year olds before). You want a better world? You have to start at the beginning. You want a better world "RIGHT NOW" and that's why we never fix the issues because we're always being reactive instead of proactive.

I can't recall many incidents in my life where the knowledge I acquired in gym class ever helped me to lock in an interview or excel in an obstacle before me. Martial arts on the other hand has given me confidence to travel around the world without any fear of my safety and my parents sleep very soundly. Which is why I will strongly encourage the following to any and every parent:

If you don't have your child enrolled in martial arts, get on it. Give them and yourself confidence in life that will last.

As a side note: Martial arts does not encourage violence as I've never been in physical combat once in my life and I've stopped 4 bar fights with words. Martial arts is about honing the mind and the body and giving you the power to stop violence.

Ahh, drinking in the afternoon i.i....

Well, programming is FINALLY up and running on the MWFF website. Little disappointed by the (hey, 27 days to plan accordingly and GO!) but that's the Capricorn in me.

Anyhoo, Carrion of 9 Spokes will be attending MWFF this year. Partial Rev is still in the works, but you can expect him next year ^_^

I'll also be rocking out my Rev Kigurumi from time to time as well.

So what's the Rev got planned?

Spending money, hanging out with people, laughing and drinking.

I will be VERY casually arriving on the 3rd in the evening around dinner time. So I want dinner buddies -.- ...

On Friday there are a few things I want to take a peek at, but nothing essential. Same goes with Saturday and Sunday.

I will be staying AT the Regency Thursday, Friday and Saturday, checking out Sunday and staying at the Aloft for Sunday and checking out Monday.

My Flight home isn't until Noon on Monday.

For those who are attending MWFF this year, I truly hope that you will try to reach out to me to at least say hello and allow me to buy you a drink, share dinner or chat at least a little bit. I am not socially awkward in fact I am a social chameleon so please; don't hesitate to say hello. I genuinely look forward to attending these Cons so that I can meet people and have a good time.

Well it's official. After a culmination of endless information and data, I've finally begun writing the 1st book in the novel series "9 Spokes" entitled "Into the Furnace."

My hopes is to push myself and maintain this path to have a completed piece by this time, next year. Working full time doesn't really afford me as much time as I would like to devote to my writing and I surely hope I am aiming for a deadline that I will attain in half that time: but I have to be realistic as well.

It's taken me over a decade to reach a conclusive character and setting with enough depth, complexity and reliability to even begin: I can't expect to have it all done in a night. Here is genuinely hoping that I can maintain focus and see this through.
