A Furfright happened
Posted 14 years agoIt was the walf con to end all walf cons.
Here are some highlights:
- Commandeered the piano several times throughout the weekend. If you heard any Decemberists, Mumford & Sons, Avett Brothers, Sufjan Stevens, or Ben Folds Five played and sang entirely too loudly, you heard me. No I will not stop playing The Mariner's Revenge Song. Credits on singing and/or drumming accompaniment to
floe, 
hulex, smudgedcat, 
inusaito and whoever else was around!
- Hung about the hotel room with my regular roommates
olympiaxylaige (<33), 
tohri, 
itsatrap, as well as rad dudes 
snackshark and 
wool.
- Bought some ghost pepper chocolate from
dartjunkie, and the most delicious pain was endured by olympiaxylaige, wool, and I. We also bought the ghost pepper spice that she used for the chocolate, and as I write this my girlfriend is making hot-as-balls fudge. I love her.
- Exploited the opportunity to run around and convulse with floe's latest purchase, that terrifying horse mask. Yes, you know the one. I was the sexiest stallion at the horsecon. Also, an always welcome visit from Floe, along with her boyfriend 
tylenol! :>
- Played all the Rock Band ever. Shout-out to all the guys who jammed with me, whose names I don't remember. Also, I was extremely happy about Pop 'N Music in the games room, I haven't played that in forever.
- Attended the sadly short-lived CakeCon 2011. Also short-lived was the table-life of that gushers cake, which I didn't even get to, goddamn. But while it lasted, it was a grande olde timee full of balloons, booze, dj'ing, and me yelling like an asshole. Sorry to the guys behind the whole deal, but I guess you have a bathtub full of booze you never got to give out as a consolation prize, right?
- Additional shout-outs to all the other cool people I met and hung out with, including
hockeywolf, 
koronis, 
aboxofdeth, 
bmagus, 
alteq, 
whiskerchu, 
melein, 
sweettalk, 
greenhatmatt. Vince, and whoever I am forgetting here WOOOOOOOP
