So, long story short, got a new tablet. Tried to sign in on it, forgot password. Tried to recovee password, forgot password to that email. Then I got busy as hell with life, got to it today.

Doing well enough with life, and have a bit of an art backlog dating back to 2023. Will be posting some soon.

Commissions aren't gonna be open till further notice though.

Starting 2/8, I'm gonna be submitting stuff. I have a backlog of both art by me and for me, so expect to be seeing lots of content from me, just from that alone.

Also, this year I'm going to get out and socialize more, do some collabs and such. I have passed the 1000 mark so I'm apparently "popular" now. So I think I'm gonna use that to collab with others, boost and commission etc. Specifically smaller artists. I've already begun reaching out to some!

So, you've probably noticed that while I'm posting my commissions on the regular, I am sure not posting any art that I made. It's for a reason, school has been taking up a lot of my time in best of times, and absolutely exhausting me in the worst of times. However, that's about to come to an end and I do wanna get myself back on track drawing. I've got some ideas of things I wanna draw, but I also wanna hear what ideas you guys have to offer, for me to pick and choose from as well. Yes I will be picky.

Time for another update, and this time, one that is a whole lot less depressing! I'm getting back on track, and things are looking up now. So, expect more activity this month. A change or two is coming to my gallery this time around.

First change, I'll be uploading some of my own commissions (or otherwise, art I've received). I'd like art of my characters specifically, to be in one place, that being right here. Rather than being scattered across the web, they need to be centralized. This will probably include writing commissions too.

Second change, more variety. With depression pushed aside, I feel like I can do way more. You've probably seen this, in me creating portraits and now a comic. Mawshots and vore will still, and will always be the main thing you see here, don't worry, however, more stuff will come! That also, includes writing stuff. And perhaps, unshaded stuff. My characters deserve write ups and ref sheets, made by me! And silly stuff too.

Third change, probably more journals. More communication is a good thing.

Finally, last change. Every month, I will do a poll (or two!) to give you a bit of control of what mawshots I will make that month. This month, my own Kara won the vote!

With that said, commissions are open again! I probably wont take any big projects (I'm doing my comic as a test to see how I handle these, also see below), but yeah, they are open again in full. So, the last few hours have been... rough to put it mildly. The last post, was a suicide note. Yes, it was really that bad. Normally I might delete it, but I'm going to keep it around. As a reminder to not get that low again, and a reminder of what to do if it should happen again. I'll only delete it when I'm sure I'm ready.

Short story is, I called the suicide prevention hotline, and had some friends to vent to, talk some fucking sense into me, and otherwise put a lid on my self loathing. The one thing I think keeping me alive the most, is me not wanting to end relationships. Going forward, my workaround is going to have to be me, communicating better. Communicating my problems, and communicating that I need help understanding. It's not easy, but its preferable to the alternative of never knowing or being afraid to ask. Or worse. And if others don't want to bare with me, that's their problem, and I don't care. I won't put up with this from me anymore, I sure as hell won't put up with it from others either.

I hope to god this never happens again. To all of those who helped and listened, thank you. Thank you, so very, very much. You all are proof the world around me doesn't have to suck. That the gift of life is to be cherished. That I can work through my problems and soldier through thick and thin. That I deserve to be alive and have purpose on this earth. That I have people I can trust, and shoulders to cry on. That I can create good. And that there is always light in darkness. I don't put this lightly:

Last night, I unearthed something I’ve been hiding for years, decades even. Decades worth of pain due to my little curse. The curse of not being able to understand people, yourself included, no matter how hard you try. And the curse of when you finally understand, it’s too late. I’ll let you figure out what it is.

What I wouldn’t do to just be normal. I would give up art entirely just to be able to access this other fucking dimension I’m missing. I would draw same size vore. I would go homeless. When people talk about what superpowers they want, that’s what I want. To understand. To not have it spelled out for me. To not have to ask for help understanding.

Call me a drama queen all you want, but this is how it is. You put someone in a big body of water for long enough with no shore in sight, they will eventually drown, no matter how strong a swimmer they are. I’m calling that hotline. I felt like I have slipped far enough.

And if a certain person is reading this, no, this has nothing to do with that guy.

Just a little warning, this journal isn't going to be a fun one. Not even my normal journal. And no, I'm not doing this to play a joke either.

So, some of you might have noticed that I've been slow this past March. Despite having spring break, I haven't been putting out much art at all. I haven't been feeling terribly motivated, to put it mildly. Art is something I enjoy doing... and then the realization whats been happening since the year started hit me hard.

I... have depression. Perhaps I've been hiding it from myself for a while. I have issues with that. I think what made me realize was that during spring break, without school on the mind, it only gave that negative shit in my head the opportunity to take hold, rather than the feeling of relief I thought I would get. Seriously, just about every bullet point about it, describes me right now. Sleep disturbance, little appetite, can't concentrate, not talking to people (or lashing out at people, or me saying stupid shit, if I do), fatigue, feeling worthless, etc.

Every artist gets criticism, it's true. But what to do if your meanest critic, the one saying the worst, nastiest things to you, is you? Fuck, I can't even sit there and watch YouTube, after a long, hard school day, the most nothing activity there is, without thinking "why are you wasting your life, you're such a loser". Let alone do something more active, like playing video games, making art or doing my school work. Even writing this journal right now I feel that nagging voice.

So, going forward this month, I'm gonna close commissions to all but friends for a while. Not terribly long mind you, but I need to focus on me for a bit. I'm sick of feeling awful all the time. I need to do something about it. Now. My plan is vague right now, but I can't keep letting it get worse.

I will still be doing art, but... slower. Don't expect any art once every 3 - 6 days anymore. If I'm working on art for you right now, or have planned to, expect me to be slower. If I said, I'm going to do something, I'm gonna do it.

I understand that nobody wants to listen to me cry on the internet. But man, I needed to get this shit off my chest. Thanks for reading if you did.

Another month, another journal

So, for commissions. I put the price backup at 30 for maws, 25 for headshots. Am also currently evaluating some higher and lower tiers for works you guys can commission. Probably wont see those till later this month or next month even.

Late on these like usual, though I've been pretty busy at the beginning of this month. I think I'll just do this at the 5th of every month instead.

So, like the title says, this month I'm lowering prices on my work. All prices are cut down by 10 dollars. However, I'm also lowering the amount of slots down to 6, and closing when it gets full, so that I don't get overwhelmed. It's not happened before, but I want to avoid it. I find I can be pretty productive working on a pair of artwork at once. We'll see how it goes from here, and whether I wish to raise prices again or not next month.

So this month, I'm going to give away three free mawshots. Two will be randomly selected using random.org, but the last one will be picked by me personally. I don't think I'll do four again this time, that was a ton of work, but we'll see! I also have a commission ahead of this, so it wont be immediate that I get to work on these most likely.
