I really only try to do these journals sparingly, but in this particular instance, I feel it's quite necessary. A friend of mine, is in need of some serious financial aid for some absurd medical expenses that his insurance is refusing to cover. Rather than explain the information myself, I'll just paste what they sent me themselves over telegram.

They want to transport me to Boston
High chance I have an aggressive for of muscle disease
but they aren't 100% sure?
That's why they are sending me to Yale but my insurance refuses to cover it all

On a side note, I'm awful sorry about the inactivity. I'm waiting to finish up a story for a particular piece before I post everything else, and I have just been absurdly lazy. Once that's out of the way though, expect some serious submission flooding!

So after seeing this post here from the ol' Pimpcat associate, , I decided to appropriate the format of the post by means of accurately defining what my OC, Evelia Zara is all about, through the wonderful and colorful bevy of unique literary devices known as tropes.


If you wish to do this yourself, the rules on how to do so are actually fairly simple! Go to http://tvtropes.org/ and peruse through a some (or many) articles of your choice until you can find some that accurately describe one or more of your characters! For this, I shall be using none other than my bread and butter beauty, Evelia Zara.

Now just to point out the obvious, I would say it's pretty fair to ascertain Evelia very well embodies the Hot Scientist for erm... fairly apparent reasons.

Now, you haven't been keeping up with the lore, then Evelia is actually a sort of alchemical abomination. Her original form eventually went on to be her, but not without some sacrifices. After tossing herself into a pit of regenerative goop that already had some other gene samples present at the apex of a heart attack, her current form retained no experiences or memories from her past life, so what we have here is a bit of a Death of Personality type situation. Particularly, of the Blank Slate category.

With all these weird properties of her new body, some of things that can apply to her would definitely be along the lines of The Ageless since she's been around for over a century, and Made Of Iron on account of her surprisingly resilient body, due in no small part to her superdense bone structure.

Having spent over a century in her previous incarnation's laboratory gave her plenty of time to re-learn the fine craft of Alchemy but also take the time to introduce other sciences into her repertoire as well, effectively making her a sort of Omnidisciplinary Scientist.

Having done decades of experiments has honed her ability to notate, memorize, and handle all manner of alchemical ingredients, and even beyond that, leaving her with the confidence to freely experiment and create simply For Science!

Yet, as the Sacrificed Basic Skills for Awesome Training trope applies, it cost her the ability to properly interact with other people, effectively leaving her more or less The Stoic. Whole not devoid of emotion, she's simply not used to expressing herself in any way, shape or form!

With No Social Skills she often finds herself in awkward situations outside of the lewd. Speaking of however, in that regard, I'd say the best trope that applies to her in this sense would be the Clueless Chick Magnet considering how oftentimes, she's quite oblivious to very painfully direct advances. Not always the case, but with her, it best applies!

Without you guys and your support from both friends and watchers alike, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am now. Do forgive me for being a sentimental little shit however. In any case, I would have just made a birthday journal you know on my birthday, but considering that's a Saturday, and the likelihood of me getting plastered is going to be through the roof, I figured it might be a better idea to just write one now and bathe in the attention it gets me as it stands.

In any case, I was wondering, since I'm gonna be spending time covering funds and likely stewing over new comm ideas and such, I wanted to take into consideration you lovely people who have me watched. SO. Which version of Evelia do you gorgeous folk want to see more of when I start commissioning like crazy again? Your options are as follows:

HERM EVELIA: As she currently exists in her standard canon. Generally stoic and calculating science lady who exists to pursue her beloved craft. Socially awkward most of the time, and generally unable to adapt to social situations that don't directly involve being lewd. Not to mention massive balls and two knots.

FEMALE "OLD" EVELIA: The woman she used to be before she became the alchemical abomination that we know and love today. Definitely a little more stern and perhaps a touch more obstinate and stubborn, but no less willing to have a little fun, provided they're under some conditions. Plus, that MILFy body type.

FEMBOY EVELIA: An offshoot of our standard Evelia to please those who might be into more males than anything else (as well as an outlet for my own desires for super gay art and my love of little things with ENORMOUS packages). Possibly a little more shy than standard Evelia due to his considerably shorter stature, but otherwise, his personality is the same as herm Eve.

Does it work for anyone else? Streams take forever to load up, and when I search for a streamer, it almost always says "No results found". So, in this, the last 30 minutes of Valentine's Day (on the east coast at the very least), I decided to do something a little special for this, among the most commercialized of holidays, and give anyone who's interested a little insight into the mind of the alchemical wolf hersel. Besides, I wanted to do something for Valentine's Day. So, anyone curious as to how she may act outside of all the immensely messy sex gets to find out. I don't know if this is a good idea, but considering I'm a touch inebriated at the time of making this journal, it does! So, without further adieu...

So, if my understanding is correct, people on the surface actively make an annual celebration revolving wholly around "love"? People do know that the process of what is generally known as "falling in love" is a gradual introduction of chemicals to the brain, yes? Testosterone, estrogen, dopamine, adrenaline, seratonin, oxytocin, vasopressin... all these things affect one's perception of this thing called "love" in response to what they refer to as a significant other, or in some cases, others. The social need to bond with one is admirable, though, primarily for the fact that they're essentially dedicating a considerable amount of time, if not the rest of their lives entirely to that person(s). Certainly nothing I intend to do. Far too much work to be done, far too many experiments to be conducted. Not to mention, the grossness of the capitalization this holiday seems to garner, what with decorative cards, garments, and even sweets. Why anyone buys into celebrating a simple series of hormonal shifts is utterly beyond me.

First off, I just want to go and thank all of you awesome people for taking the time to watch, comment, fave, and generally enjoy my stuff, and I am genuinely sorry that I've not been able to give everyone who has given me a watch a proper thank you. I've been meaning to, but for whatever reason, it just slips my mind, so what I end up doing is not clear my watches so I can go back and thank you fine folks. I remember it being at 10, then 25, then 50, then 150, and good golly, now it's up to 312. I seriously cannot thank you people enough.

But, my rambling aside, a great milestone's almost upon my little nook of FA, and that would be the 1000 watcher mark. I want to do something to let you all know just how much I appreciate you, but for the life of me, I can't think of a thing. I would host a YCH, but I had to have several friends point out that this milestone was coming along, so I had almost no time to prepare for it. Plus, it was only after I had queued up some high priced commissions, so money would be extra tight. ;~;

If anyone can help me decide what to do or just provide any sort of feedback or ideas on what I can do to show y'all just how much I love and appreciate you, then that would be absolutely splendid. Evening ladies and gents! So, this is something that I personally have been mulling over for quite some time now. I'm well aware that many people say they want to do art and then never follow through because it's too hard or some such nonsense, or see some spectacular artist's creations and think they can pick it up, come to realize they're in over their head.

I can assure that this is not the case. For years now, this community has influenced much of my artistic tastes, spurred me to get the creative juices flowing, so to speak, and while some of you may say that my writing is good, I genuinely wish to do more than that. I want to develop my illustrative skills and learn and apply whenever possible. Now that I'll be getting my degree fairly soon (ahead of schedule, no less!), I'll have a lot more free time on my hands, and this just seems like the perfect opportunity.

As I've said, this is something that I've been dwelling on for a while now. It's kept me up at night and haunted my desires for I don't know how long now. As of this moment however, I actually have very little drawing experience, but, I am well aware of the fact that such skills are no natural talent, rather, acquired, and I'm ready and willing to put in the time and effort needed to develop such skills. This is where I reach out to anyone interested.

As I said, my artistic skills are novice at best, but to those artists out there who are willing to lend a hand, you'd have my eternal gratitude in aiding me in this endeavor that I've wanted to pursue for so very long. Hell, even passing the word along to someone who might be willing to take a little time out of their day to help this wolf out would be greatly appreciated.
