Hello again guys! I'm glad to be back on FA, and although it's already been a bit bumpy with me getting back on due to life getting in the way (as it loves to do!) I'm not going anywhere! Had another quick break from the site, luckily this break was much shorter than the last haha ^^ So I'll be back posting again, and today will be a double post since I missed a few days! One of them will be NSFW, so those who use Mature Content filters will only see one.

Wooo another disappearance from Fenris :'D Apologies for my being gone, I've had some computer problems as well as a whole bunch of health and family issues, but I'm getting them resolved and will be trying to get back into FA -- and back into art -- full time! Please pardon the mess as I get the gears turning again :)

WIPs and Tutorials! Exclusive access for Patrons to see every single step in my art process. Which changes I make, which tools I use, which tutorials I reference, redlines I make, and margins that explain why I do things. Not just "here's the first sketch" and "here's the finished piece", but actual in-depth start-to-finish compilations of my work, so you can understand how my art process works.

Physical Merch! I plan to release stickers of all kinds (replaceable stickers, decals, clings, 'reverse' stickers, lenticular, etc) as a Patreon reward, and as a product for sale. I would love to be able to offer magnets, enamel pins, t-shirts, and other goods for purchase, and at competitive prices!

Telegram Stickers! Telegram stickers are something that take a long amount of time for me to do, so I do not foresee myself offering them as a normal commission type. However! I will offer them as a Patreon tier for those who are interested.

Patreon Tiers? I will be offering unique things with my Patreon tiers. I will be offering a product with each one, not to incentivize them, but to turn them into their own commission/product type. Nobody should feel the need to subscribe, and please feel free to pledge for a product, then stop your pledge after receiving it. I've been pretty bad at posting and keeping up with Notes as of late. Apologies to everyone who's been on the bad end of a wait. I'll try to be posting daily at least for a while, and will try to have commissions cleared out sooner rather than later. If I owe you a piece please don't think I've forgotten about you, I'm doing my best at keeping up with my workload.

I can't promise how long daily uploads will last but I will try to post at least three times a week -- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I am also going to be redoing my commission prices for the time being. All commissions are going to be cheaper than previously, in order to supplement my income (which is awful because I work in retail) and help support animal bills. The updated prices will be posted separately when I have them done.

ALSO, something I've been considering lately is talking about is reacquiring rights to ArtFurFree -- most of you know I'm its original owner and that it was in a state of flourish when myself and my close friends were the proprietors back when it started. I understand, however, that the current owner is having some personal problems and gas been really busy with work and school (not unlike my own situation, admittedly) and has been unable to actively hold art sessions with the group. I know people enjoyed receiving art from the group, and I know artists enjoyed working for the group as well. It's been a bit sad to be back on FA and see the group abandoned like this, so I've thought I might return. I'll be in talks with the current owner, as well as my former moderator, to see if this is something that might be possible. If everything works out, we might be able to look forward to AFF art sessions again. Keep your fingers crossed, everyone.

Other than that I've met a casual furry who streams and is pretty chill. I may or may not be becoming the official artist of Splinxes on Twitch, so check him out ;P

If you received a piece in the so-called 'Big Batch' I've become aware that I didn't make it extremely easy to figure out how to find your individual files. The individual post for each piece is in an imgur gallery, linked in the description of the full post of the batch -- however, I don't believe I got this point out as well as I'd have liked, apologies for that! So if you never grabbed the full-sized transparent PNG of your individual headshot, please feel free to visit the imgur link, no need to crop the three-piece posts! On the gallery they should be in alphabetical order by character, with the exception of D for Dan instead of R for Rune, H for Handshake instead of A for Arlo, and H for Henri instead of C for Cruor ^^

Apologies for not being extremely active on here! Work, mine and my dog's health, and other commitments have been keeping me rather busy. But please know that my art and involvement in the fandom are still a priority, and I definitely plan on keeping up with things! I also have confirmed AC for 2018! So here's to more active months in the future, eh?

Hey there!

Sorry for being veritably absent for such a long while. I actually ended up with a job at Target! It's part time (more or less) and may or may not be seasonal depending on how I do and how many people they're hiring when the season ends. It also depends on my knee...

See, the first reason I disappeared is because I got the flu. Good ol' fashioned flu, made me sick and I didn't feel like doing much of anything. Then I transitioned right into work and have been busy ever since. It's been hard finding time to do art but this week is a light one so I hopped back on. However, last week wasn't the best. All throughout Black Friday week, my right knee was killing me. Wouldn't you know it, at the end of the week, it went out. The kind of "went out" where you couldn't put any pressure on it, and I ended up having to go to the emergency room and call in the next two days. So I'm back at work for the meantime until I can go and actually see my doctor -- I'm walking on a crutch and wearing a knee immobilizer -- but when I get to the doctor I fear he'll tell me the worst; and the worst is that I'll have to do to my right knee what I've already done to my left. I'll have to get surgery.

If I get surgery? I'll have to quit my job.

Now if I get my job, I figure I'll go balls to the wall with fursuit making -- take out a loan and go All-or-Nothing. I've been using a real pansy approach about it so far, just working on one commissioner as of yet, and he's just as broke as I am so we're really going nowhere. I also had a head of my own but it's sitting in the background now too, because I'll be using the fur I was going to use for it, on my commissioner's head. But I'll go way harder in the paint if I lose my job. There will be no brakes. Making premades, making tails, doing a free head to get the name out there, new account on FA, website, more art, everything I can. No pussyfooting if I get the option again. 6-8 hours a day just like any other job.

On one hand I'm terrified of losing my job. On the other hand, I welcome it. But either way it works out I still have a whole queue of folks that are owed art.

Getting to that! I praise you folks for your patience and humility as I stumble my way through things. I promise to get back into a steady flow of art, same as you've seen on this page in years before. There are backgrounds missing Sephs for SephrenDemon and there's a Xenokobra missing color and surely enough there are still pieces for the amazing ZacharyCoyote who is in Basics as I type. And by my honor they will all by done.

I thank you for working with me to assure I can do my best to work with you, and create the best possible pieces I can create for you all. Hopefully I will not have to go through surgery, and even if I do it will extend the number of ways I am able to interact here. Regardless, I plan to get better with balancing posts and communication on FA with my work and offline life.

The fantastic OceanTiger11 and I will be working on a YCH in order to fundraise for Buck, my White G-Shep, so his vet bills can be paid and he can be treated (for what hopefully isn't cancer). However we haven't come to a conclusion about what we're going to draw, so we came up with a few ideas and decided we'd like to pitch them to you guys!

Fourth will be a pose of a quarterback preparing to throw the ball -- number and team on jersey are up to the winning bidder.

Let us know which option you think you'd like to see, and if you think you'd be interested in bidding! The prices will be kept low, although the quality will remain as expected from what you'd see of the two of us. Hopefully this idea is able to come to fruition, and we're able to make a great piece for some folks!

So I guess I've not been very good at updating?

Sorry about that, I've just been pretty fatigued, and frustrated. Frankly I've been hit with a good ol' case of lost-cat-depression as well. A whole mess of stuff has been going wrong in my neck of the woods lately, and the first thing on my to-do list isn't to go through and relive it by writing it all down in detail so I can then have people talk to me about it, making me think even harder and feel even worse -- I've been going through way too many "What If's". But anyway, enough of that dread. Let's get to a brief synopsis of each emergency area.

First there's Henri. Henri? Like Xenokobra ? Well, yes and no. Henri, the person, has been extremely awesome to me throughout this whole mess so I named the cat we caught after him. We weren't originally going to keep the cat but I broke down my mom until she caved in and now he's our newest boy. In hindsight I'm realizing this is extremely confusing when talking to friends about either of them because it's hard to tell which one I'm referring to... But the cat is getting used to the name so what's done is done haha. Henri is a good ol' boy. He ended up not having any diseases, not even worms, even after coming from outside. He loves people and seems to get along with the other cats, and although he's going to take some getting-used-to with the dogs, he's a really friendly dude. We've had him neutered and he pretty much acts like nothing happened. As soon as he recovers he'll be able to be introduced into the rest of the house with no issues, we think.

So Henri (formerly Chuff) is working out to be a non-emergency. The only deal with him is his vet bill, which we couldn't really afford and so is on a credit card. I think it was somewhere near 200? Vets are expensive.

And then there's the lost boy. Rocky has been 12 days missing now, I believe. I (foolishly) bought a How to Find Your Cat guide, which didn't help at all, but luckily has a guarantee so hopefully I can get my refund. We posted signs and posters and flyers everywhere, and have been handing little leaflets to anyone who'll take them. We were initially going to put the leaflets in all of our neighbors' mailboxes but didn't because my dad (who works for UPS) says it's illegal to open mailboxes like that. We still have a plan to tape them on people's doors, or maybe just slide them between the screen/glass door and wood door. Either way we haven't gotten many calls from the posters. We got one the first night we noticed he was gone, but when we checked it was the wrong cat. We got one way across the highway where there's probably no way it was him, and then about 5 minutes later one where it could be him that we saw a cat that looked like him... We'd been trapping since night 1 -- my aunt works with several rescue groups and is extremely active. I work with her sometimes but not to the extent she does, and definitely not to the extent where I have my own traps. She's lent one to us and we've been setting it up near our house and rebaiting often, but then when we got the call we moved it to the yard of the neighbor where we spotted the cat (with permission, of course). In our yard we caught Henri, an adult possum, and a baby possum. In their yard the trap never even got triggered. And one day when walking to check it we saw a cat that looked like Rocky, but had black instead of stripes -- it could've been the one we saw, given it was dark that night, and the cat lived just across the street. So we've taken the trap back to our place and will start trapping here again. There's a confirmed cat colony on our street. However we don't know where Rocky is, how he is, or if he is... We just want him back.

I've also had to try and adjust my art schedule to accommodate my cat searching schedule. I've just felt so bad lately that I haven't really been in the mood for too much art and I apologize to anyone waiting for pieces. I will do my best to finish everything in a timely manner but unfortunately can make no promises and can assign no ETA's or work under any due dates at this moment.

Now, let's get to Buck. The man of the hour. My good boy.

Nosebleeds. Sick tummy. Drinking a lot, could be kidney issues. Kidney issues and tummy problems could be related to nosebleeds if it's ehrlichiosis, but if it isn't there could be multiple treatments and they'd all be expensive. And if by the slight chance it's cancer (the doctor doesn't think it is, luckily) we probably won't be able to afford treatments and will just have to consider quality of life. Then he still has his leg/hip/back pains -- which are apparently made worse by ehrlichiosis -- that he needs anti-inflammatories for, but he can't get anything until the bloodwork comes back. When does bloodwork come back? Still another 3-4 days. Sad puppy for 3-4 more days, at least.

So he had to get tested for all kinds of stuff -- all the "just to be sure" stuff and the ehrlichiosis, and some general function bloodwork of all his organs and what have you. He needs a doggy flu shot but can't get one til, y'know, the bloodwork comes back. He also didn't actually get his bubble checked because the doc thinks it isn't cancer. So we're going on a thought.

But because of all this extra testing, the bill ended up quite a bit more than my estimate. With just the visit charge and the bubble biopsy I figured it'd be somewhere in the range of 200-225. But then the nosebleeds showed up and things kinda took a turn....

So here's an update.

My cat's gone.

He didn't run away -- he's never had interest in running away or going outside if we're not out there -- he probably got locked out. Our youngest cat, however, loves to open the back door on her own if it's unlocked, so we always lock it except for when we let the dogs out. But the dogs sometimes get impatient and let themselves back in. So there's a chance one came in, or the kitten came out, and my Rocky got out. He probably just wanted to chill outside like usual, but then got locked out because nobody noticed he was missing — nobody ever expects him to be outside because he's just a good boy. So now he's missing and our leads are sort of sending us on a chase — some folks told he went one way, but then we got a sighting of him in the other direction. The sighting could have been the tabby we caught this morning in our trap (see next paragraph), but we don't know. He has no collar and isn't microchipped. He's also declawed, and due to both his 4 out of 4 heart condition and the fact he has a cancerous tumor in his belly, he eats on a schedule and he can only have wet food. He is surely starving and very thirsty, and with no claws he can't hunt or climb trees. And I'm not sure he KNOWS his familiar surroundings because he's always been an indoor cat — the only time he goes outdoor is when we grill, just to sunbathe on the backdoor porch or table. I'm not sure how well his 'kitty GPS' will tell him where to go. But he is very friendly, so hopefully someone will be able to approach him and will have seen our posters... I just hope and pray he's alright and that he makes it back home.

We set out a cat trap out front and covered it with a blanket he's laid on before, and hoped we might catch him. This morning, another cat was in it. It was a tabby, but not the tabby we wanted. Luckily it's one of the chillest cats I've ever encountered, so he's just kinda hanging in our bathroom for the unforeseen future. Right now I'm calling him "Chuff" because he keeps chuffing at me. But if we end up keeping him we'd have to pay for his neutering and check-up, so my mom is trying her hardest not to.

If anyone is in Louisville, KY please contact me if you have any cat leads or sightings, or if you know any sites for lost/found animals.

We also think we finally know which orifice my dog is bleeding from. We couldn't tell if it was his mouth or nose before, but now we think it's his nose. And now we know how unfortunate that is -- I called down to the pet emergency center and they said with a dog like him it's probably either he got into rat poison or other chemicals and is beginning to clot, or he has a mass/tumor somewhere in his airways that is beginning to block his breathing. Either way it could be extremely harmful. If he clots he could die. If the mass stops his breathing, he could die. And no, this isn't related to his other mass.

My mom did call in to ask how much it would be to check the mass on his side. It's probably about 200, they said. So we still need to get that checked. But now he has another problem to be looked at (because at first we thought the bleeding was linked to the mass instead of separate), which makes his need to visit the doggy doctor more urgent.

So please if you feel yourself in need of art, please consider a $5 fullbody that will benefit the vet bills of my animals. I know sometimes it's hard to say "yeah sure I'll give my money to animals I don't know that belong to an internet person I'll never meet" but they are my family and I would be glad to help anyone else's family -- furry or otherwise -- if this situation is ever flipped around, I just hope it never does and everyone else is free of the sadness my family and I are facing. If you can't commission I'd be just as grateful if you could link the original "Emergency Commissions" journal or Picture submission.

To everyone who has commissioned so far: I'd like to thank you so much for the kindness and patience you've showed, and if I've yet to deliver a piece I apologize. I am going to be a tad bit slow with art for a while because I have to adjust my art schedule to work with my cat-hunting schedule, so I hope it is not too big of an inconvenience. I will try to fill empty days with art of my characters that I have yet to post done by other artists, so you guys still have something to look at.

Aight so I know I just closed commissions down, and opening them back up will probably delay things for those who still have pieces on my queue, and I'm sorry for all that. But I'm having a bit of a dog emergency and I need a bit of help getting him to the vet. I'm willing to offer very low-cost pieces in order to help him out, so I hope you're willing to commission, or at least spread the word.

First, the story:

So my White German Shepherd Buck has a 'bubble' on his right side that is right under his lungs and near the top of his organs. We saw his annuals doctor and they said it could either be cancer, a cyst, or a build-up of fat or blood. If it was cancer it could be deadly, of course, and if it was a cyst or fat/blood it could keep growing and pop onto his organs, killing him painfully. It could also grow to the point where it obstructs his lungs and makes it hard to breathe. Anyways, none of these options sound good. The doctors said to take him to a vet for a biopsy -- to excise some cells from the bubble and see which option it was. I kept begging my mom to take my boy but she kept saying "later"... And of course, "later" never came.

The last few days he's been bleeding from his mouth whenever he gets worked up or excited. We don't see any cuts or bad dental issues in his mouth or on his tongue or gums so we're not sure if he's actually bleeding from the mouth... I'm just praying the bleeding isn't internal. I'd like to finally get him to the vet to get his bubble checked, and once we get the results back, find out where to go from there. I've got my fingers crossed that there will be no cancer, though.

I also hope to maybe pick up some pain pills for him. I know a lot of people are harshly opposed to medicating animals but when he gets a bad episode of hip and back pains (White German Shepherds have awful arthritis and hip displaysia problems) trust me when I say you'd want nothing more than to end the pain for him. He goes through pain surely every day, just dealing with it like a trooper, but after a walk or after his aunt comes to play with him outside, the squeaks of discomfort are the worst thing an owner -- a friend -- could hear from their dog.

So we're probably looking at a visit (30 at our trusted vet), and a biopsy (which I believe they said is 125) and then some meds or treats for relaxation (at least 50) which brings us up to 205. In the case we need any buffer room I'd like to have at least 225 for him, but whatever amount I end up with I will be unbelievable grateful for.

So it's about that time that everyone going to Anthrocon does the con "meme" for it, so I figured I might as well go ahead and join in too! So here goes.

Who's your Overwatch main?
Despite Junkrat being my favorite character to play, Lucio has the most hours for me. Zenyatta, S76, Reinhardt, and Roadhog are all up there too. I play heroes to balance the team, instead of out of a want to play them. Hence why I never play Rat even though I love playing him. However I don't play much OW anymore anyways, since my brother hogs the PS4 and my laptop can't play anything anymore. So, oh well. Oh, and uh, BUFF McCREE

What's your favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song?
They have a ton of good songs and I like a good deal of them but I think it's fair to say that everyone has a piece they attach to, regardless of age, or of reason. I love their older work, and their newer work, and I didn't mind the albums that people said were bad or "wasn't them". And I remember when Stadium Arcadium came out and people disliked it, and how now it is a treasure. Even at the time, "Tell me Baby" struck a chord with me, and to this day I look on it as one of my favorite Peppers songs. Whether it be an attachment to my childhood, or a genuine love for the song over all their others, I just love it. I love the video, the song, and the overall feeling and lyrics. Give it a listen if you don't know it, I think you'll probably like it.

If you were stranded on a desert island with one food, drink, and song what would they be?
Hmm, I'm pegged to say MRE, Gatorade, and "Knee Deep" by the Zac Brown Band! With the MRE you get all the sustenance you need, same with the Gatorade. And hell, Knee Deep just has a good feel when you're on an island haha!

Texting probably isn't too good either -- no offense but even though my flip phone does have texting, I'm not too eager to give my number out to dozens of folks haha. So hopefully I'll just be around, and I'll be in Cyclone for a good deal of the con so hopefully you'll see me wearing him!

Depends! Don't know for sure what panels there are yet because this is my first AC! However I will definitely try and catch the Floor Wars, Dance Comp, and Pepper Coyote's concert, and I'll try and be in the fursuit parade!

Can I touch you?
Hugs, high fives and handshakes are perfectly fine! Just please don't hug from behind, or do anything while I'm unaware :v And NO inappropriate touching at any time -- this should also be common sense

Can I buy you drinks?
NO -- I am under 21 and SHOULD NOT be bought any alcohol. If you buy me a drink or another minor a drink, or if you yourself are a minor at Anthrocon are caught with a drink, you can be PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE CONVENTION. So NO DRINKS until legal age please!

Can I hug or snuggle with you?
No snuggling please! I'm not even sure what that entails but if you want to do it please ask permission and I MAY grant it, probably only if I'm in Cyclone! It's best not to ask if I'm unsuited, I will most likely turn you down because my parameters are different. Hugs are fine however! But as stated before, no hugs from behind and no hugs when I'm unaware that I'm going to be hugged! This is something that, especially when I'm in suit, can be alarming and possibly dangerous for myself and other suiters when this is happening. ALWAYS APPROACH A SUITER FROM THE FRONT!

Will you be going to parties?
Ehh this is pretty iffy since I can't drink but I might! If anyone is doing some short tabletop campaigns or some art sessions or something like that I might check them out but other than that I will probably just chill. This will be my first time fursuiting in such a packed environment for such a long time. At the Kentucky Menagerie I went straight from not suiting any longer than 30-40 minutes and not suiting any warmer than 60 or 70 degrees F, to suiting for 7+ hours straight on a hot day in a warm hotel filled with 100-someodd people. But this will still be on a MUCH larger scale than that, so I want to take it easy. So unless a party or event is REALLY enticing I probably won't go, sorry! I will try to hit up at least one of the nightly dances, however!

Besides character performance in my suit, no :v

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Not get lost! Haha but really it's to meet up with new friends, and have the time of my life! And furthermore to prove to my parents and aunt that I'm the adult I say I am, and that dippstick ISN'T the rapist they think he is :P

As always, 10% of ALL PROFITS go DIRECTLY to benefit the Florida Panther -- 5% goes to the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refugee and 5% goes to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida's Florida Panther Fund, which each have their own goals and methods to aid and assist this marvelous animal. I used to be able to say there were fewer than 300 specimens alive in the wild, but unfortunately I'm now forced to say there are fewer than 200. So please know that with every commission, 10 cents out of every dollar goes directly to help this amazing animal survive. And there will be many fundraisers and events to help other animals, children, people, and charities as well, so be on the lookout!

Got tired of waiting and went ahead and put SAI back on this computer instead of waiting for all my files from the hard drive, who knows when that will happen! Still plenty of hiatus art to be posted, but to get myself back into the swing of things, how about a nice freebie?

I'm back! Maybe kinda I guess?

So I wanted to get back in the scene, but I also hear the site is in the pooper? I've heard from several sources that a lot of people are jumping ship and going to tumblr and/or IG. Anyone know what this is about?

Anyways, it'll be a bit of a slow introduction back. Why? Because I can't do art at the moment, whoops haha. Long story short my computer can't do art at the moment, heck it can't do anything. BUT! I have all the art I've done or that's been done for me since I've left. It's not much but I'll try and space it out until I get my computer going again, and get commissions and trades up and going. And hell I still have a queue to work on, don't I? Back to the ol' grind :)

I've also been working on fursuit heads and parts in the meantime, not very many but they've turned out well in my opinion. So I'll get around to posting them when they're all ready.

While I'm at it I figured I'd let everybody know that this cat is going to a few cons this year. Yup, you heard it here first. You can expect to see me at the Menagerie in Louisville, KY and at Pittsburgh's own Anthrocon. I had the whole ride and room thing figured out long ago but then one of my buddies ditched me so I'm still looking (or re-looking, rather) for a solid room and ride at the moment but there's no way you won't find me there, no sir.

Yup, I'll be making my way back. And I must say I went through all the comments on my "Gone" journal and I'm flattered, almost to tears. Does anyone care why I left? Can I just come back? Is there even any interest in having me back anymore? Well as long as I have my old buds I suppose I'll be a happy cat, haha. Also what's with all those people that Watched me after I left? :P

But that's how it is! Ask me questions! Let me know how you've been, what's been going on on your pages and on the site, who has new art and new characters, everything! I'll tell you in a journal in a few days or so how I've been. And who else is going to AC? I want to see you there! I'll be in Cyclone.
