Next week on Jan 23rd, I'll be doing daily streaming of artwork from now on on Monday through Thursday, starting at 12:00PM PDT to 6:00PM PDT or whenever the commissioned pieces are completed.

I've taken a long enough break from drawing, and I'm feeling like I should do as many streams as possible. The way they'll work is different than possibly many others, but it's a system I think will work out best for everyone involved.

Each day, I'll be doodling my own pictures, and anyone who wants to commission me will just send me a note on FA detailing what they'd like, then say something on chat at https://picarto.tv/BlueFenrisulfr saying they've sent a commission note. Once I have the note, I'll do some correspondence and get all the details out of the way. However, there is a catch. Each day will have a specific number of slots open of a specific type. Anywhere between 1 to 5 slots of either:

Inks
Flat Colors
Full Colors
Inked Comics

Welp, after 10 long years, my old Wacom Intuos3 finally died. It was such a trooper, and it will be missed. Not bad for a what, $70 tablet? Wacom makes those things to last!

Until I can get it replaced, I'm out of the art business unfortunately. Such a shame too, cuz I was starting to get my groove back. But with my sickness and recovery, death of a tablet, and financial troubles around the house, there's no room in the budget for me to get a new one. And I do wanna get another just like it. I love my dinky little tablet. I think they still sell em; googled the model number (PTZ-431W for those curious) and they're around, though they're the same price they were a decade ago, so that makes literally no sense.

Gonna celebrate the party on Saturday with a huge thing, but today, just gonna do a food cooking/eating spree. Starting with curry, then later some pho, then topping it off with Sheppard's/Cottage Pie!

Fenrir loves to eat, so it's only natural his birthday should be centered around food!

So, for all those who've been wondering where I've been, I've been bedridden for about a month recovering from a nasty skin Staph infection again. Seems to happen like once a year.

I'm almost entirely done healing now, about 90-95% done, and I'm feeling a lot better, more mobile and glad to be out of fucking bed. Seriously, I don't like it when I'm not active, because I enjoy very athletic things like dancing and swordfighting. But now, with my illness dying down, I can finally pick up a sword, play some sick songs, and just go nuts.

I'm also very happy to be better before my birthday on March 1st! Not gonna do much for that actual day, but that weekend, March 5th, I'll be celebrating it at Big Rock park in Santee San Diego, at the monthly BREAK meetup, and we'll all be going to watch Zootopia as well afterwards! And finally, after that, biiiig party at PairO'Dice!

A wonderful birthday, this should surely be. Can't wait to be fully cured, and back to my old self again, and can't wait for a huge night of fun.

Hello, loyal readers! Today, I've got a very special guest to interview. The Guardian of Valhalla himself! You may be wondering, "Matt, how did you come across the Guardian of Valhalla? I thought he was just a myth!" Well, he's a real person; I should know, since he's sitting right here next to me! And he's ready to answer my deep, cutting questions on this month's Slice of Life!

1.) What is your name?
Name's Fenrisulfr, but my friends call me Fenrir. You, however, may call me Guardian of Valhalla. Or just Guardian if you prefer.

2.)Alright then, Guardian. Do you know why you were named that?
The original Fenrisulfr was a Norse wolf God. I'm also a wolf god, though I'm not Norse.

3.) I see... Are you single or taken?
Single. Surprising, I know, but my work is important too.

4.) What sort of abilities or powers do you have?
Too many to count, but I can eat people, which allows me to cast all sorts of magic. I also craft lots of technology to supplement my magic.

5.) Stop being a Mary Sue!
Bitch, I eat people.

6.) What's your eye color?
Sclera is yellow, iris is black, pupil is glowing white. Cuz, like I said. I'm magic.

7.) Hair color?
The most regal shade of navy blue, with just a streak of silver down the middle.

8.) Any family?
All adopted, really. My brother Chance, my "son" Raphy, and my many, many pets, to name a few.

9.) What about pets?
Too many to count, but I do have some favorites.

10.) Now, tell me something you don't like.
Idiots mostly, as well as those with an undeserved ego. People trying to steal my mineral Altorite from my forest too, but they technically are classified as one of the previous.

11.) Any hobbies or activities you enjoy?
Not sure if eating people counts as a hobby, but I do enjoy it a lot. Sparring and creating new weaponry, armor, systems, and technology also occupy my spare time.

12.) Have you ever hurt anyone in any way?
Only if I have to.

Me personally, yeah. Tons. Me indirectly, yeah. Countless.

14.) What kind of animal are you?
I'm a wolf deity. Also technically a werewolf, too.

Hunting people down, fucking them, and eating them whole. They are also my best habits, too!

My goddess Syn, but only when she's not being sarcastic and laughing at my expense.

Oh, of course. A couple of plump, juicy ones, maybe wrapped in bacon and with a sprinkle of spice... Wait, you're not talking about having them for lunch, are you?

Not being able to protect the ones I love.

My loincloth, normally. Other times I wear my Materialization rings so I can conjure up my armor,The Crystal Warden. If not those, then I'm just a naked werewolf.

23.) What's one food that tempts you?
Humans... They're so greasy and packed full of preservatives, but they're so damn tasty...

24.) Am I annoying you?
Mildly, but it's nice to be interviewed sometimes. Nice to have someone take an interest in how things are actually run in Valhalla.

26.) What class are you?
Lightning Bruiser.

27.) How many friends do you have?
I am liked by many, feared by more, and known by all.

28.) What are your thoughts on pie?
It's a curious confection that seems to have found it's peak in Julian, CA. I try to sneak over there from time to time and have a slice of their famous apple pie.

30.) What's your favorite drink?
Coconut milkshakes are one of my favorites, if not an alcoholic drink humans call a Pina Colada.

31.) What's your favorite place?
Anywhere in my Citadel. Otherwise, there's a beautiful hill known as the Lunar Gaze which gives the best view of the moon on clear nights. I like to take walks out there sometimes and just stare at the moon.

32.) Are you interested in anyone?
Quite a few, but I'm playing it loose to see if some of my crushes will be perfect matches or not.

33.) Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?
Well, Valhalla has several amazing lakes, some of which look like oceans. All of them freshwater. I don't think I'd enjoy swimming in saltwater, seeing as how it'd mat my fur, so freshwater lakes it is.

34.) What's your type?
Short, skinny, subby and salacious. Also, preyish, but that doesn't start with an S.

35.) Did you notice there was no question 29?
Yes, but I just thought you were bad at counting.

36.) Camping or indoors?
Both, really. I love being outdoors under the stars as much as I love being inside working on something. Only thing I dislike on both counts is insects.

The 3rd Anniversary of our local San Diego meetup, the Lake Murray Furry Anthro Outing (Or LMFAO) was this past weekend, and on the days leading up to it, me and  chancethedragon were busy getting everything together for a great time. And the ensuing house party had me drunk off my ass to the point where I prattled on for an hour talking about a Korean video game I like. Embarrassing!

Anyways, due to that overload of fun and games, I'm on a mild break as I recover from all of that. Getting to bed on time is hard now, but I have a plan to get it back on track!

In the meantime, I'll be working on my own private project so I can still have content flowing. Expect the first page uploaded sometime either tonight or tomorrow. It involves Vernados, my deer boy pred character nomming a bunch of people accidentally, but keeping them in his belly to digest anyways. Fun fun fun!

I've had quite the time, coping with being called in to work so many times, having to flip my sleep schedule on it's head, and then stomp on it until it started working, then almost non-stop events to organize with the San Diego Furries. Lots of fun, lots of work, lots of schtuff both good and bad.

Not gonna go into too much detail cuz that'd take forever, but just letting you all know I'm alive, well, and hopefully, I'll be able to get back on track with that YCH and them commissions I gotta do. Haven't forgot, fully intend to finish them all! Just been so busy, but this week seems to be docile enough, so hopefully more work goes from unfinished to Worship status. XD

Just got my stitches out of my finger, so now I can draw again!

Let's back up a bit. Most of you who don't follow my Twitter will probably want to know what's going on.

Back on the 13th of July, I went down to Malibu with my brother Chance, and our buddies Valk and Vita to have some beachy fun and grab some souvenirs for Vita's father, who is a big time surfer dude. We stopped at a roadside truck that was selling fruits and such, namely these stupidly rich and delicious strawberries and very flavorful coconuts. Chance bought his strawberries and Valk and I drank the coconuts, and I had the brilliant idea of splitting the coconuts open to eat.

The day prior, we had gone to the Del Mar fairgrounds because they were having a gun show there. Chance loves his guns, and I love my swords, and we'd previously gotten some neat swag from a gun show up in Washington, so we poked around for a while. When we went over to this one booth where Chance had previously bought his katana, The Water's Edge, there was a similar katana with a dark blue wrap on the handle, and everyone agreed that I needed that sword. So, all 3 of them pitched in to buy this amazing katana. It's not perfectly authentic; the blade was just machined steel, instead of the traditional folded steel, but the wrap was real, and it was indeed razor sharp. So, I had a new katana, a real one. My first real one, at that. Sadly, I could not think of a name for it at the time, so it remained nameless as I paraded around with it proudly. Some people might recall me wearing it to the PS that day, too!

Back at the beach, cutting open my coconut was fairly simple. I held back, since the coconut was sitting on a rock and I didn't wanna wreck the blade. I sliced it open after several swings and enjoyed the freshest coconut meat I've had since I moved away from Hawaii. Valk also wanted his sliced open, so I happily obliged. I managed to chop that one open in one swing, clean cut. However, as I handled the blade, the sheath, the coconut, and the cloth bag the katana came in, I did something no swordsman should ever do. I held the katana handle under my armpit. The sheath slipped out and I ended up slicing my right hand ring finger tip really, really bad. Vita, Valk and Chance all grabbed all of our stuff in an instant, and Valk sacrificed his sock (which was relatively clean) and I used it to tie a tourniquet to halt a lot of blood loss. We got it cleaned up by the lifeguard who was on duty at the time, nice blonde girl, who was very calm about the whole situation, and after pouring alcohol and wrapping it in a simple gauze wrap and medical tape, we set off immediately for Santa Maria Hospital. While in the waiting room, I thought up the perfect name for the katana. Wolf's Blood. It's an arrogant blade who demands to be treated with the respect that a katana should be treated with, and because I didn't, it bit me as retribution. Chance's katana, The Water's Edge, is a peaceful blade, who doesn't cut anyone who is not deserving. The two katanas match our personalities perfectly. The cut was relatively minor, and could have been much, much worse. I could have sliced that part of my finger clean off, or sliced my finger off, or worse, hit an artery in my wrist. I got off extremely easy, which leads me to believe that while the Wolf's Blood is an arrogant blade, it is not a malevolent blade; it will teach you to respect it, it will punish disrespect, but it is fair in it's punishment. My ring finger is the least important of all my other fingers when it comes to most of my daily activities, especially drawing. So, while my finger is damaged, it is not unusable, and thus my hand is not unusable.

Managed to get everything sorted out at the hospital and they stitched up my finger (5 stitches) and I was good to go. Ever since then, I haven't been able to draw much, since while my ring finger isn't essential to me drawing, my pinkie finger rests against the tip (the part that was lacerated) when I use my tablet, and the pressure makes it either painful or simply very uncomfortable to draw.

However, now that my stitches are out (which was an ordeal in the first place trying to find a clinic that could take me and my insurance, because I have a Hawaii insurance policy, but I don't have my card with me, just a photo of it), it's finally comfortable to draw again! I severed the nerve in the finger (but thankfully not the tendon), so I can't really feel anything outside of pressure on it, so that'll take some getting used to. At least now, though, I can do more things with my right hand again! Lemme tell ya, learning how to use my left hand as often as I use my right hand takes a lot of getting used to. It's still awkward to wipe... >.<
