Posted 13 years agoSooooo...I'm going to have to make a trip to the hospital tomorrow. No, it doesn't have anything to do with my head. I'm just going to have the doctor tell me if I might have a possible infection in a few open wounds I got on Thursday. So most of you may well know by now that I teach kids with different learning disabilities and such. Kids with brain damage are also counted among those that I teach. And on Thursday, one of my students who does have brain damage became frustrated with something or someone, I don't know. But he decided he wasn't going to use sign language to say what was wrong, rather he used his hands to begin hurting other students. This is one of the third graders I teach, and he is a rather big boy for his age. And when he becomes physically violent, he is very physical about it; punching kicking, scratching, pushing, even biting.
So, normally there are other people who do the job of restraining students who become violent, but today they were outside in the hall talking with a member of the school staff. I took it upon myself to try and calm him down, but he would not listen...and then he attacked me. Thus, I got some fairly...gnarly scratches from him all over my hands, some I think I might need stitches for. I did the proper procedure of cleansing the wounds to avoid infection, but I don't think that was effective enough, as I believe a few of the scratches(including the largest and deepest of the scratches) have become infected. I'd rather not describe what the infections look like, as some people may be squeamish about these kinds of things. But from what I've looked up online, it looks to me like I've got an infection. Just having the doctor take a look to confirm, and give me some medication for it(which I know for sure is going to be EXPENSIVE!!!)
But other than that, teaching kids in the summer is a joy!Win free art!

Basically if you want it, all you have to do is enter a character under any of the colors of the ranbow of your choosing! I'm pretty sure you can only submit one character for each color. Posted 13 years agoSorry about not being very active these past few weeks. I've been rather busy with work and prepping for the end of the school year(which is THIS WEEK!!!). Not only that, but I've also been prepping for summer classes for some of my students, where I'll be devoting most of my free time teaching the students who were struggling through the school year to help them get back on track. To be honest, I'm looking forward to it, as I enjoy being around my students. It always makes me happy seeing my students, and I'd do anything to prolong my time teaching them.
What does that mean for me being on the site? I'm not entirely sure. Since I'll be teaching students starting on the 11th of June for five weeks, I'll more than likely not have the time to stop by here. But that doesn't mean I'll be gone forever! No, it just means that I won't be as active as often as I'd like. Sure, I'll try to get on now and then when I don't have anything else to do(probably most likely on the weekends).
But other than that, life has been a bit hectic lately. Not just because of this being the last week of classes, but also because of there being lots of birthday celebrations going on next week, as well as helping my cousin move in to his new apartment down in New York City. Yes, I've got to rent an SUV(which is expensive to rent for just the weekend!) drive all the way down to New Jersey on Friday to help him move in to NYC, as I'm the only relative that's closest to him. -_- I love him to death, I really do. But I think it's about time he started doing things on his own, as he's already 23, and still doesn't have a driver's license...
Anyways, that's enough rambling for now. Has anyone else living on the east coast been dying in this heat? Was around 90 degrees here yesterday.Khione 2.0!
Posted 13 years agoSo, since Jeff has quit FA, and essentially the fandom, he won't be doing anything with his character, Khione. So basically, Khione is my character at this point. And after some debating with myself, I've decided to change her a bit.
Khione is no longer feral, and she no longer wears a collar(despite her being cute as a feral sergal). Yes, she's still an albino, that won't be changing at all. From no on, she'll be a normal oldschool sergal and she'll be wearing both a platinum heart-shaped locket around her neck, as well as a light blue rubber wristband on her right wrist that has the words, "Fighting Spirit" on it. And, she'll be wearing clothing from now on; just jeans, nothing else.
But what else is changing is her background story. She's no longer living in a world torn by war between humans and sergals. Rather, she now lives in a peaceful and very modern world, a world much like today only...well, more peaceful; a world where humans and sergals live in harmony. And, she even has a younger sister! If you want to know what her little sister looks like, just check out my most recent submission. Oh yeah, and she's also rich! X)
As for Khione's personality, that hasn't changed much. She's still a loving and caring sergal, but now that she has a younger sister, she's very protective of her. Much like what her wristband says, Khione is a fighter and will go to great lengths to protect her sister and keep her safe. Her gentle nature remains as well. Also, now that she lives in a peaceful world where humans and sergals cooexist, Khione has a boyfriend! A human boyfriend at that!
Sometime in the near future, I hope, I'll write story about the new Khione. And since I love romance, there will definitely be lots of romantic scenes in this story I hope to write.
As of now, the only feasible image of the new Khione(Khione 2.0, lol) is my latest submission.
Well, that's all I have to say for today! Just thought I'd let everyone know about the slight overhaul I've done to Khione's character and her background. :)Free requests going on!

Posted 13 years agoHey everyone! I just thought I'd update you guys on the original owner of this account, my bf Jeff, since he's not going to be returning to FA ever again. If you don't know why he's left FA, please read these journals for more info:

Since Jeff received the news about his cousin Wesley 3 weeks ago, he's been very depressed. After he came back from the funeral in Australia 3 weeks ago, Jeff wasn't exactly himself. He was very irritable for about a week after the funeral. But since he received the news regarding why Wesley had taken his own life, Jeff has fallen into a very deep state of depression. I've been keeping him company as often as I can, and it seems that it's helping to comfort him somewhat, but nonetheless he's just overcome with grief for his loss.
I don't know when he'll be finally able to regain himself and come out of his depression, nor do I know how else I can comfort him. I can clearly see that there's a lot of turmoil going on inside him. It's hard not to notice his pain, and to be honest, I can't imagine the kind of pain he's feeling right now, as this is the second time he's gone through something like this. I've had to help keep him on track with studying for his finals all of this week and next week, and it's difficult at most since I'm juggling keeping him on track and grading student homework assignments and tests.
What can I do to help Jeff? What can I do to take his pain away? How can I bring him back? What do I need to do to keep him from falling deeper into his depression? Has anyone else experienced something like this before? If so, can I ask for advice on helping Jeff deal with the pain of losing his cousin and help bring the bright and cheerful Jeff back from his depression? Please PM me if you feel the need, as I know that something like this may be sensitive to other people.

Posted 13 years agoSo, recently I've been thinking about breaking out the old sketch pencils I have, dust off my drawing skills, and get back into the habit of drawing. But...my drawing skills aren't exactly what they used to be, as the last time I drew something was almost 10 years ago.
So, I'm taking drawing lessons. And guess who's teaching me. Bailey! Yush! She so adorable. She's only 6 years old, and already she has a near perfect grasp on anatomy. But, the thing is is that she doesn't think she's good at drawing to begin with, yet in fact she is. So, I managed to convince her today during art period to teach me the methods she knows about anatomy and how to draw. She and I both still need reference images to draw the basic structures, but I think she'll be a good teacher as she knows a few methods on anatomy(even though she doesn't want to admit it). I don't exactly know how long she'll be teaching me how to draw, but I'm confident she'll be a good teacher(lol, and I'm supposed to be her teacher).
