Big news everybody! I may have dropped some hints over the past year (during the very sporadic journal updates) that I had written a manuscript for the first book of The Ruferus Saga, the storyline that my characters inhabit.

Well, I've finally finished the editing and I'm getting it prepped for launch! I plan on having it prepared for at least Amazon and Kobo, maybe on Smashwords too sometime this week.

So for those who want to know who the characters are... this will be your first foray into their mad mad heads.

Well, after a couple of years hiatus, I'm going to try to start posting steady sketches, and if I have the patience, more finished stuff, practicing with new techniques. I'm coming up on my 10 year anniversary for when I first wanted to become an artist like this. W00t!

I'll be posting some of the stuff in my backlog on and off for a while, so I hope you like dirty stuff. :D

Well, it gives me more time for art I guess.

The buggerin' holidays can't come up fast enough.

I'm sort of doing the occasional bit of art, either colouring a previous pic or sketching some more of my Masterplan stuff.

As I look back to my 4 previous journals and see that I'm now actually doing art stuff makes me feel a bit better, plus the fact I've actually finished an art piece in the year 2008.

Ugh... still feel fucked. Par for the course.

Well it's been pretty crazy for me the past couple of weeks. Work was intense, a lot of new stuff I had to learn, magnetic separation, proper decanting technique, dealing with annoying people etc.

But this past weekend was rockin'. After my old DVD player crapped out on me (it was like 8 years old, one of the first ones ever), I got myself a new home entertainment system with a subwoofer and the five speaker deal. Decent price too, maybe four or five hundo.

I also took my G2 drivers test which I had been putting off for like the past 5 years because I hate driving. Passed no problem, now I just have to get my G and it'll be all good. But there's no rush, the G2 lasts another 5 years and it allows me to buy my own car.

Finally, managed to check out Doors Open Toronto again... which was nice because it's been four months since I've been back home. It was cool to see the old place... still, Lakefield is pretty much my home now and I sure as hell didn't miss the noise.

So I checked out the CBC building like I wanted for the past two years but couldn't because we ran out of time. The tour was lackluster up until we saw their mobile units. They had a camera set up outside which was recording inside the mobile truck. It was a pretty sweet camera too, very smooth, very steady, great zoom capability.

Finally, I managed to catch Indy IV while I was in town. It was alright, a solid film, I had my gripes though, being the detail guy I am... not enough character development, plus the whole alien angle was a bit out there. I half-expected Mulder and Scully to show up.

Ah well, it was worth the price of admission.

Now I'm tired and I'm going to get as much sleep as I can before I have to go to crappy old work again. :)

Basically how I feel about pretty much everything. Work has been hell on earth and has pretty much kept me from doing anything productive art-wise. "Buggered" also describes the nature of my internet connection, which unfortunately is connected to my phone as well. I have access now, but over the last three days it's come and gone. If it goes out again, I'll have to do something about it.

Gah, I hate this crap.

Sorry to those I owe art to for The Masterplan, I will actually draw something someday, but for now I am fucking wasted out of my goddamned mind. Which is fucked because I don't drink.

This shift bullshit sucks. Working nights is alright, it's the sleeping during the day I can't take. Now I gotta go back on days and get my sleep schedule rearranged... fuck, I hate this shit.

So, it's not likely I'll get anything done this weekend. Sorry... I am formulating a couple characters... basically Bors and Sabine's personal servants, a couple of nice elf girls who "service" their needs.

Eh, I'll get to drawin' 'em eventually.

UPDATE: Well I was planning to do something this weekend, but I slept like shit last night so... we'll see. If I feel more alive later in the day, I might start something. I'll get 'em done eventually. =P



Right, so I need to formulate a plan to progress, both as an artist, but also here on FA. I've been giving it some thought, weighing my own abilities, needs, and my free time, and I think I've come up with some sort of masterplan.

Okay here it is. As of now, I don't really have the urge to do any kind of heavy duty colouring/shading at the moment, so what I'm going to do is get maybe another 5-10 tablet sketches up here until I have enough decent ones to choose from to try colouring. Once I feel I have a decent repertoire, I'll try to finish a couple.

So, I'll need some sketch material. Anybody want to help with that?

I'm offering 5 free sketches, on a first come first serve basis, of my favourite subject: cumshots/facials/blowjobs. Male-male or male-female or herms, doesn't matter. Just give me a ref to the characters.

I'll probably get 'em done over the next couple weeks. So step up for free facials. :D
