another journal whoa! i just thought i should keep it transparent w this sort of thing, so

this update has been somewhere in the back of my mind if I'm being honest w you folks, and i haven't had the right mood and time to do it properly
also i figured that it's better to have it written down somewhere so i can redirect folks wondering about my bigger openings haha

here it goes:

illustration commissions are on hold till further notice

i won't dwell much on it, but one of the reasons I made up my mind was the amount of time I spend

don't get me wrong, illustration has always been a passion of mine, but i'm pretty much sad about the fact that i get to spend so little time on my personal work, the only reason i got into art in the first place. unfortunately, time is (and always has been) a luxury nowadays, so i'm switching to simpler work instead. this would allow me to work on personal projects and deliver commissions at an affordable cost, no sweat

does this mean that you can't commission an illustration from me anymore? of course not! it means i will no longer list those commissions publicly, only upon direct inquiry via dms

given the circumstances and the following I have built up over the years, this was not a simple decision, but I believe that when change is due, it is probably for the best

Telegram is also the only place I post thumbnails and works in progress if you're curious about behind-the-scenes content.

I'm also considering making a channel for commission openings on over my Discord server but I won't know for sure till I'm there haha

With the way things are, I'm afraid there is nothing I can speak you folks do not already know of. Words alone are not enough to describe the dreadful things happening in Ukraine. It's quite a shock, all of this, but even this would be akin to an understatement. All that strife, and what for? Unless much pressed, I would rather not answer that. I ask the same of you.

I've been pretty silent this last six months of the year now ended despite my best efforts, and given the ongoing burnout and my petty tries of pulling it all together, this was a hell of a year. But I wanted to break the radio silence on my end to let you know that I'm alive and well.

It may sound silly but the main reason I haven't posted here is not that I have nothing to share, more like there's a huge backlog of art I could actually submit except I treat my gallery as a page w polished pieces I like the most, haha So there's that. I do, however, post some stuff (such as sketch pages) and offer commissions occasionally on my Twitter and stream every once in a while on Twitch, basically a very place you can see everything I have in works. Stop by sometime!

By any chance, this is not a goodbye journal. I'm still determined to stick around no matter how tough life can get, just not as active as I'd love it to be. Well, never say never, right?

Oh, the time flies like arrows, it’s been almost 8 years since I logged in FurAffinity for the first time and 5 years since I started taking art more serious than I used to, and here we go, I’ve finally hit dem big numbers... over 10k of pure awesomeness! Wowie! Thank you for staying with me during these years, thank you for the endless love for any piece I upload, thank you for taking the dreadful path of success and failures with yours truly, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys. Sadly I've been pretty all over my head with not finding the time to get back and reply to every comment that I receive here and there, but please know I'm still reading all of them!

I wish I could break this silence with something special to mark the occasion but I only bring a rather small announcement since people keep asking me about commissions and stuff. Well, that's official now: I'm taking a long break come this January. Wouldn't be leaving you guys at all but the side effects of constant work with little to no break have taken a great toll on me. Oh and the autumn has hit me pretty hard, I do feel better now though.

I'll stay put to my routine and post stuff I haven't uploaded yet, streaming whenever I do something I think someone might be interested in watching, but I'm gonna be unavailable for any commission inquiry till my hiatus ends. Gurl gotta learn new skills and finally work on personal art, you know?
