From the shadows...
General | Posted 12 years agoI lurk in the shadows unseen, as if some phantasmal haunting apparition. Cursing the sun-blighted surface world above, I remain within the unhallowed corridors carved deep into the very bowels of the earth by the very hand of some supreme deity of a distant, forgotten age. Herein my prison chamber, no shadows are to accompany me, for no trace of light is to be found. But what is this to me? Nothing, for I find solace in my eternal solitude. In this kingdom of endless darkness, I am one with the shadows. I am the starless night. I am everything that cannot be seen. I am the father of fear. I am the herald of damnation. I am what I am; and yet, I am nothing...

Time For A Short Film!
General | Posted 13 years agoHey everyone! If you're anything like me (oh god, the world is fucked if you are >_<), then you most likely get extremely bored very easily. If that is the case, take about 10 minutes of your time to watch the following short film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS5qMssXTWc
The script was written by a close friend of mine and filmed by fellow classmates. And before you ask, yes, my friend and I both act in the film; but I won't tell you who we are.

Attention, Well, Anyone!
General | Posted 13 years agoI have a simple request for anyone who might see this:
I am interested in finding some good Furry-themed webcomics or graphical novels of some sort (I'm not overly concerned about genre, though I do have an affinity toward fantasy and science fiction). And by good, I mean something that would be maturely rated. What do I mean by maturely rated? Well, naturally I am referring to sexually explicit as well as violent content. The latter of which I wish to emphasize. If there is no battles, blood, death, war weaponry, etc, then there is hardly any fun. As for the former, if there is sexually explicit or even implicit content, I ask that it be gay only (i.e. no straight or lesbian couples if at all possible, please). That being said, I must make absolutely clear that I would prefer such content to remain as minimal as possible. And please, nothing hardcore in that department either! Romance can be tolerated in minor doses, but not if the main plot revolves around it. Make war, not love - as I like to say. Though I prefer dramas and tragedies, I also enjoy the occasional comedy - especially if the humor is crude and vulgar. In which case, violence is not necessarily required. And last but never least: I ask that at the very least one of the main characters be a canine. After all, I am a canine Furry with an intensive affinity for other canine Furries.
If anyone has some suggestions, please feel free to message me.

Roadkill
General | Posted 14 years agoEarlier today (technically yesterday since I am currently writing this at midnight), on my way to class, I had noticed a red fox at the side of the highway. I could obviously determine that the motionless fox had been mercilessly run over. Other than a sigh of remorse, I had done nothing else. I simply drove on.
Throughout the day, I had passed that same fox two more times. And each time, I felt more and more guilty and sorrowful. Such emotions accumulated slowly over time, but had not dissipated. I find this to be very odd for two reasons. First, I'm generally apathetic and nihilistic. And second, I would be the kind of person to purposely run over a random critter for personal entertainment (though NEVER a fox).
Needless to say, after personal reflection regarding the unfortunate fox, I had somewhat come to the conclusion that I have an obligation to bury it, or at the very least remove it from the side of the highway. After all, that fox, which I regard as a noble beast, deserves dignity. The very least I could do is remove its corpse from the merciless sight of apathetic eyes, such as my own.
However, I do have one major concern: law. If it is somehow illegal to bury roadkill, or at the very least remove it from the side of a road or highway, then I have no other choice but to obey the law. But if burying that fox - thereby providing it with at least some dignity - neither endangers the welfare of the public (which it does not) nor results in the destruction of property, either public or private (I would not see how this would be possible), then I would do that which I believe is right regardless of what the law happens to state. I would justify my actions on the basis of virtue, on the consideration that every rule, including law, has an exception, and on the philosophical argument that supreme law (i.e. laws with no exceptions) cannot exist because of human fallibility.
I have seriously considered these things. Hopefully my reasoned mind can spur my will into action. Otherwise I do not believe I will ever forgive myself for my inaction.

Anthrocon Has Ended Already...?
General | Posted 14 years agoI just happened to find out that Anthrocon was held this past weekend (a week earlier than it usually is). For those of you who had attended, I both admire and envy you. Alas, Anthrocon is but an empty dream for me... *sigh* Had I been able to go (i.e. had I the financial means), I'd drop everything and do it. However, Fate has not permitted me to do so. Hopefully next time will be different...
At any rate, farewell, beloved Anthrocon. Perhaps some time in the future I will finally be able to attend you. If not... Oh, to dwell upon such a possibility is unbearable... But I must.

Furry Wolf Tails At Hot Topic
General | Posted 14 years agoYesterday, I had gone to the [Berkshire] Mall in Wyomissing. Much to my surprise, while I was browsing in Hot Topic, I had stumbled across a startling find - brown and gray furry wolf tails which were a little longer than the length of my forearm (i.e. the tails are approximately 14 inches). The tails cost fourteen dollars and fifty cents (plus tax). Needless to say, I already bought one. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to wear it in the near future (assuming, of course, I muster a great deal of bravery as well). If anyone is interested, then you should check it out. So far, I have not seen them on the website, but I'm sure they will appear soon.
I'd be so happy if the Furry subculture assimilates even more into the Hot Topic scene, which would make furry accessories a hell-of-a-lot more accessible to average local Furs - like me. Sure, Hot Topic may have sold furry-like products in the past, but I'm referring to more than just silly little items like those. Hopefully this is just the beginning of such a trend rather than just another random item that comes and goes.
Assuming Hot Topic adapts to the Furry subculture, they will begin to regain my highest favor, which had been wavering more and more as they continue to drift away from the emo, goth, and punk subcultures and toward the pop subculture. Now if Hot Topic would do both - adapt to the Furry subculture and return to their original roots - then I would consider them my Utopia. Heh, one can at least hope...

Star Fox 64 3d
General | Posted 14 years agoI finally got the chance to play my copy of the game despite the fact that I had it for almost a month. Although a very awkward title, this Star Fox game does the classic much justice. I recommend it to anyone who finds space furries sexeh! Or if you like blowin' shit up in space!!! Or both (like me ;D )! Star Fox 64 3d definitely gets my recommendation. Too bad Fox and Wolf don't get along, 'cause I could totally picture them together; They'd make a sexy couple. Ahem...anyway...to those who have yet to get this game, hurry up and get it! Your Arwing and team awaits.

Solatorobo!
General | Posted 14 years agoThere is something I find so damn attractive in independent, strong-willed, and canine furry mercenaries. First I fell in love with Fox McCloud; now I'm falling in love with Red Savarin too! Maybe it's their "I don't give a damn; I'll do what I want" attitude. Maybe it's their determination and heroic actions. Maybe it's just because they are fucking sexy furries! Hell, who am I kidding? It's all of the above! I love 'em both! ;D
Only played a few hours of Solatorobo so far, but from what I've played, I must say that I am quite impressed. The intro is quite interesting. The artwork is awesome and graphics are good for a DS game. A lot of passion certainly went into this game. However, despite these reasons, there is one thing I found a little disappointing - the gameplay. Its far too easy. I hope the game starts getting harder later on. Even if it doesn't, the game is definitely worth playing. I recommend it to anyone who wants more furries in a game.

En Taro Fur Affinity!
General | Posted 14 years ago(Yes, my addiction to Starcraft II still has not ceased; not surprising because its so fucking amazing!)
(Ahem...anyway...)
This worthless wretch wishes to bid you all greetings. All hail to the artists of our time!
I am Infested_Fox. However, for the sake of simplicity, call me Fox (which is my actual nickname irl). I have been referred here by two friends - Liam_MoonBoots and Wolfganghm (such great friends). Although I have been a furry for quite some time, I have been hesitant at joining online sites (especially art ones, for I possess no talent whatsoever) due to my highly antisocial tendencies. I'll mainly be lurking in the shadows out of sight. If you must draw me out, then you may do so by commenting on my writings or sending me messages (public or private). Other than that, don't expect me to be actively social.
