Posted 15 years agoYogi Bear
Posted 15 years agoSo the new movie did and does look like a steaming pile of crap. Not that I've seen it in a theater or intend to but this awesome review almost makes me want to think about downloading a screener of it or something. A golden shower joke in a PG movie? Gwuh?

In Yogi Bear, Jellystone Park is District 9 (for bears)
Yogi Bear is not a kids' movie. It is a bleak futurist parable about humanity's inability to accept a non-human sapience. It is also about a bear who wears a hat.

Serious Journal
Posted 15 years agoNot a link to a silly story or whatever. This cubaffinity idea sounded okay at first but OMFG. wolfblade has posted a journal about what it's all about. Comments in cubaffinity's journals are also informative about what they're up to. This whole idea of allowing photos of arousal and allowing access by minor children of adult users is just a horrible idea. They say they'll allow anything that's 'legal' but WTF? This is the perfect way to build a site for abusive and exploitative parents. I've been in that kind of situation and believe this kind of site would quickly become more of a meat market than anything. Not to mention a honeytrap for law enforcement.
I'd like to go on record saying that I'm absolutely not in favor of or supporting this. A site for cub art is fine and dandy. IB has had a significant proportion of cub art almost from the beginning anyway and it's looking good in so many ways, new though it be. But cub art and photos of aroused human bits and such with parent/child access. Seriously. No freaking way.

The mystery of the 'mouse hole cleaner'
Is it a dog duster? A tea ceremony tool? An extra long tooth pick? Or perhaps a toy for tickling naughty children? Any Japanese person may instantly recognize the thin bamboo stick with a curve at one end and a ball of white fluff at the other.

MILFowl
Posted 15 years agoI finally went to see Legend of the Guardians. I caught a morning matinee and the audience consisted of me and an elderly couple who knew the books about as well as i do. We talked about them a bit before the movie started and were all horrified by the trailer for that damn Yogi Bear movie. Fortunately they didn't seem too annoyed when I yelled "Owlipoppen!" during the movie.
There's quite a bit they changed from the books but it's really well done. All sorts of stuff just flies right by. They've packed a lot of plot into an hour and a half. A lot of the books is altered or left out but it's amazing how much is still in there.
Twilight and Digger are totally different but I love them both. Especially Digger. He's hilarious. Twilight is more bad-owl kabonging lounge singer than poet but still pretty awesome and likable. Mrs. P. looks freaky with those big eyes. She kind of looks like she has cataracts but they didn't play up her blindness and she's very expressive like the other characters. Ezylryb is really well done. His back story is different from the books but he's still the same character. Soren and Gylfie are still themselves and very much so. Gylfie is awesome.
The movie definitely needs more Otulissa. She's pretty damn cute. They do suggest a romance between her and Soren. That's even in the end credit animation. What would Clive think? Nyra is evilly hot and so totally evil. Very well done too. But one owl babe definitely steals the hotness in the movie. Soren's mom is totally hot. Rowr!
The animation is incredible. I'm especially impressed by the character animation. The characters really act and do it well. The environments are ridiculously detailed. The slow motion combat scenes were amazing too but that's expected considering the director. I loved the beak clacking communication. Plot wise there was definitely a, 'There's your traitor right here,' scene. (Not the same traitor as in The Seige.)
Random shit: There's a freaking waterfall in the great tree? How does that work? Echidna? WTF? Aaah, it's a tasmanian devil! Bats with wing swords? You may as well give bears chainsaws. Flecks are owl kryptonite. Love those floating light things.
I was so hoping Simon would appear at the end of the movie. Naah. But it would've been awesome. Still, there's bound to be a sequel based on books 4-6.

Big Butter Jesus!
Posted 15 years agoIt really is sad that one of the great weird icons of mid-america is gone. I love weird monuments and mystery spots and giant balls of twine. This weird monument even inspired a famous song. Whether you call it Butter Jesus or Touchdown Jesus or whatever it is oddly sad that it was struck down by mighty Zeus last night. *snicker*

"This is not right," a church member named Gifty says. "We just all have to go on our faith and ask God. This cannot be a coincidence."
"I was pretty upset," Andy Caudill says. "Seeing a big thing of our Lord and Savior gone. It's pretty sad."

As a child i've collected my hair in plastic bags, in case i need it when they perfected cloning. The hair is totally protected and in boxes, roughly near 2.9 pounds. I really would like to see this go to a good home. its a perfect light-ish darkish brown color with hints of medium brown.
Uses for hair;
wig.
pranks.
movie prop.
eventual cloning.
ATTN!!!!!
don't eat the hair... 1 its more valuable and B, its probably bad for you.
Thanks PLEASE SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!!!

Jailed for kemono cub/zoo porn?
Posted 15 years agoTalk about insanity. Who is being protected by this law anyway? Some of the titles are pretty freaky but it's important to protect speech (and art) that average people and 'community standards' consider freaky. That's the expression that needs protection the most. Once upon a time even information about birth control was censored in the US mail based on a similar rationale and it's horrible that the US is going this far in prosecuting people for possessing freaking manga.
If you're upset about this too you might consider joining or donating to these guys.

In the unlikely case this becomes a cub flamefest I'll delete this journal. But since this is basically going to my watchers I really don't expect that.

‘Obscene’ U.S. Manga Collector Jailed 6 Months
By David Kravets February 12, 2010
A U.S. comic book collector is being sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to importing and possessing Japanese manga books depicting illustrations of child sex and bestiality.
Christopher Handley was sentenced in Iowa on Thursday, (.pdf) almost a year after pleading guilty to charges of possessing “obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.”
The 40-year-old was charged under the 2003 Protect Act, which outlaws cartoons, drawings, sculptures or paintings depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, and which lack “serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.” Handley was the nation’s first to be convicted under that law for possessing cartoon art, without any evidence that he also collected or viewed genuine child pornography.
Among the comics listed:
Kemono for ESSENTIAL 3 (THE ANIMAL SEX ANTHOLOGY Vol.3) by Masato Tsukimori et al (Izumi Comics)

Marry Xmas!
Posted 16 years agoMerry Christmas! And Yule! And Kwanzaa! And Hanukkah even though it's past already!
So anyway I started a sketchblog to post lots of little sketches I draw and some other stuff too I'll be putting lots of non-adult crap there instead of into my scraps. The crap with *ahem* adult themes and other stuff like that will still be going to FA. That way if you want to you can get my non-gnawtee sketches on an RSS feed or something.
Also I wrote a post about the sociopolitical ramifications of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other children's stories. I'm sure I'll have the urge to write more similar stuff but mostly it's for posting sketches. I like to think so anyway. *hides*

Bat Sex

"The short-nosed fruit bat Cynopterus sphinx is the first bat species to have been observed engaging in oral sex.
New research headed by Min Tan of China's Guangdong Entomological Institute discovered that female short nosed fruit bats would often lick the shaft of the male bats' penis during penetration. Before this discovery published in PLoS ONE, only a few species—such as bonobos, orangutans, and, of course, humans—are known to engage in oral sex."
