Sorry for the Delays on Commissions
Posted 4 years agoThe last half of October and this month has been pretty crazy up until now. I was dealing with yet another episode of low self esteem and imposter syndrome during the tail end of October, and now for November there have been a lot of interruptions and distractions. Hopefully things will start to mellow out after this week, and I will be able to get back into the groove of work as normal.
I do want to say that I have been working little by little on my queue, trying to get it down. It's just that a lot of the stuff I've been working on have been bigger or more complicated than usual, so those have been taking up most of my time and it's been hard to get to new stuff lower down on the queue. I'm currently more than halfway done with two of the larger things, so hopefully after those are done I will be able to move along a bit better.
Thank you for your patience. I really do hate making you wait this long, but I can assure you that these WILL be done as soon as I can get them.

Gore-Tober Commissions Open! 15% Discount
Posted 4 years agoIt's October 1st, and that means Gore-tober has officially begun.
From now until the 31st, any commissions taken that fit the gore theme will have a 15% discount applied to it.
Prices for fullbody (before discount) are as follows:
Digital Sketch: $20 per character
Lineart: $25 per character
Flat Color: $35 per character
Simple Shading: $45 per character
Complexity, background, clothing, and other stuff may induce an additional cost depending on how complex it is.
Same rules as regular commissions. No sex or exposed genitalia.
Please note: It is most likely that I won't be able to get everything done by the end of October, depending on how much of a queue is built up. I'll get as much done as possible, and everything that isn't complete by October's end will continue to be worked on in the following months, and the discount will still be applied to any that are paid for after this month.

Warning! Gore-tober is coming! (+ commission update)
Posted 4 years agoJust giving a heads up to you guys that there will be some stuff posted to my gallery next month that will be very different from what I normally do. Been wanting to do some experimentation with different stuff and topics on the darker side of things and thought that October would be the perfect time for all things gruesome, creepy, dark, and disturbing.
Now, I don't know how many of my watchers are into gore (I do know that there are at least a handful of you), so that is why I'm posting this journal so it doesn't come as a surprise. So if you're reading this and don't like gore, be prepared to delete some stuff in the submissions. And that leads me to a question:
For those who don't want to see the gore: would it be better to pick a day of the week (looking at Saturdays) and only upload stuff of that nature so you can be prepared for it and delete it then? Or would the better option be to upload everything on October 31st so it can be over with at once?
One reason why I decided to do this is that I do know that some people who watch me are into that kind of stuff and have watched me because of the gore stuff I did privately that was posted to the commissioners' accounts.
The bigger reason is that I've been dealing with a lot of things mentally over the past month that has left me angry, worried, scared, defeated, crushed, and off and on (for lack of a better word) depressed. I can't really explain why, but I really think that doing this is going to be therapeutic for me in a weird way. I've already seen some improvement with the stuff I've been doing in preparation.
So please, if you don't like gore, I ask that you just delete it from your submissions rather than leaving negative comments on what I plan to post. And remember that what an artist draws does not necessarily reflect what they want in reality. Nor does being into it mean that the person is a psychopath. There are plenty of people who watch slashers/horror movies, or play Mortal Kombat, etc that are perfectly functional members of society.
I will also be offering 15% off commissions that fit into the theme of "gore" starting October 1st and going all the way until the 31st.
And speaking of commissions, I will be "opening up" for general commissions again soon. (in air quotes because I never technically close. I just keep getting inquiries and so I have to wait until my queue is down to a manageable size before I can post a reminder that they are open) Probably by Friday or next Monday However, things will work a bit different during October. My art week typically looks like this. Monday: Anything goes. Tuesday-Thursday: Commissions/Patreon art. Friday: Personal art. Saturday: Anything goes. But since I'm doing the whole gore-tober thing, I'm going to be using some of Tuesday-Thursday to work on stuff for that, so commission turnaround time will be relatively slower that usual, but only for the duration of next month. Come November, I'll be back to my usual schedule.

I decided to make this first poll going up on my Patreon accessible to everyone here as well, sort of like a "first one's free" kind of thing. Although, patrons get to have two votes, one on this journal and one on Patreon. I was originally planning to do more with it, but some previously unplanned for circumstances may be coming up, and that would mean less time for art, which by extension would mean less time to dedicate to rewards and stuff.

Like I said in the previous journal, this time I'm only publicly opening up for lineart. I'll be opening fully for multiple types again in either May or June, God willing, depending on how things go.
I don't know how many slots I'll open for this time. I'll just put some down and add if necessary. I'll cut it off if I feel it's getting to much.

700 Watchers + Update
Posted 4 years agoIt's a bit after the fact, but I recently hit 700 watchers. As always, thank you all for your support! Sorry that this milestone journal is so short compared with the other ones. I just want to avoid being repetitive and saying the same things as the previous ones in case it comes off as fake. Just know that I really appreciate it, and I look forward to sharing more art with you in the coming months.
Now for an update:
First, there's been a slight change of plans. I'm still aiming to open up commissions later this month, but it's going to be a bit different than what I initially planned. I was originally going to open for multiple commission types as well as introduce new ones, but then I realized...oops, I have no up-to-date examples for flat color. So I have to wait until I upload some to make the full commission price guide. In the mean time, I'm going to open up for Lineart commissions soon, so keep an eye open for that future journal if interested :)
Secondly, I'm working on creating a Patreon, and I'm hoping to have it launched later this month as well. I'll have more information on that as I get closer to opening it, but if there are any questions about it.
Once again, thanks to all you watchers, commenters, and commissioners. You give me the motivation to continue doing what I do :)

First, there's been a slight change of plans. I'm still aiming to open up commissions later this month, but it's going to be a bit different than what I initially planned. I was originally going to open for multiple commission types as well as introduce new ones, but then I realized...oops, I have no up-to-date examples for flat color. So I have to wait until I upload some to make the full commission price guide. In the mean time, I'm going to open up for Lineart commissions soon, so keep an eye open for that future journal if interested :)
Secondly, I'm working on creating a Patreon, and I'm hoping to have it launched later this month as well. I'll have more information on that as I get closer to opening it, but if there are any questions about it.
Once again, thanks to all you watchers, commenters, and commissioners. You give me the motivation to continue doing what I do :)

Commissions Closed Until April
Posted 4 years agoCommissions are now closed while I work on the current queue. Thanks to all who took slots during the last chance window.
I've got quite a bit of work on my hands now, but I'll try to get these done soon. Hopefully I'll be able to open up again some time next month, God willing. I'll give an update then regarding the status of things.
As stated previously, my prices will be increasing a bit next time I open, but I'll be including new options and maybe doing special offers from time to time, so keep a look out for that if interested ^^
Until then, take care.

Posted 4 years agoI've had a pose lying around for a while that was an unaccepted pose for a commission. Rather than let it go to waste, I figured I'd use it for a personal art piece. I wanted to go for a canine character who I have yet to draw, but the problem is, I can't decide which character to use for the pose lol. So I thought I'd list my options and give an opportunity for my watchers to decide.
The options are as follows (keep in mind that the pose is feral rather than anthro)
1. Rita (Oliver and Company)
2. Sasha (All Dogs Go to Heaven 2)
3. Aleu (Balto 2)
4. Lilly (Alpha and Omega)
5. Dixie (Balto)
6. Houndoom (Pokemon)

REMINDER: Last Chance for Current-Price Commissions!

Just a friendly reminder that my commission prices are going to increase. If anybody is interested in getting a commission for the current pricing, feel free to leave a comment or send a note.
I will be closing commissions on March 1st so that I can work on my queue. When that queue is pretty much done I will open up again and the price increase will go into effect.
Current Pricing is as follows:
30-Minute Traditional Sketch: $5
Traditional Sketch: $15 (+$10 for second character, +15 for every additional character after the second)
Lineart: $20 per character
Colored Wing-it: $25
Flat-Color: $30 per character
Backgrounds and clothes may be a small additional fee depending on complexity
If there are any questions as to what a certain commission type entails, feel free to ask in the comments.

Update Regarding Commissions

I've been thinking a lot about a few things related to commissions. I don't want this journal to be too long so I'll try to be as brief as I can while being as clear as possible.
First off, thank you once again to those of you who commission. It means so much to me, and I love doing them for you :)
Second: I think it's come that time again where I should increase my prices. I've been thinking about it for the past few months, and I feel that it is appropriate. I feel (and hope) that I've improved since the last increase to warrant it. When I first started taking commissions, I kept my prices dirt cheap because I didn't have the confidence or skills that I do know. Lately I've been thinking that the amount of time and work it takes to do some pictures is starting to outweigh the asking price, and I just feel that I need to edit pricing a little so that it strikes a balance of being both fair to commissioners as well as fair to me. I just don't want to sell myself short.
The prices are not going to be increased immediately, though. Like last time, I'm going to offer an opportunity for anybody who wants to get a commission at the current pricing to do so effective immediately. I'll keep this open until the end of the month, probably, and then I'll close commissions for a while until I get the queue down to a comfortable amount. I will then post an up to date price sheet once I'm ready to take more commissions. I'll also be adding at least one new option that will be on the cheaper side to make up for the increased prices. I hope you all can understand.
So, if you would like to take the chance to get a commission for the current pricing, feel free to contact me via note or comment :3
And the last bit of information is related to the near future. I've been working almost non-stop on commissions for a while, and I think I need to take a quick break from it. So next week or the week after, I will be taking the week to work solely on personal art just to refresh myself and give myself a rest so I can come back to commissions with full energy. I hope this is understandable as well. Thank you for the patience that you've been showing already. I really don't like making people wait, but sometimes it can't be helped. I really think what's best for me is taking this week away from commissions and then returning with renewed vigor.
