So as soon as I saw a trailer for the Green Lantern movie I thought it would suck. Then I saw one of the new trailers, the ones that show all the other Lanterns, and thought, "Hm... maybe it won't be so bad after all. I'll at least go see it with friends if they feel like going." Now I don't even really feel like doing that after watching MovieBob's review. :(

If you don't know who MovieBob is, then look him up. I like him, though I try to take his reviews with a grain of salt. He is, as a movie critic, by his own admission, very hard on films. He's seen a LOT of them; a lot more than the average movie goer, so he gets bored by things that have been done before. Where the public (myself included) may like a movie, he might find it played out and predictable just because he's seen a bunch of movies that were just like it.
That said, he also usually has good things to say about the movies; even the ones he doesn't really like. However, that is not the case with Green Lantern.

That's a horrible name. I woulda called it, "Morning After Meme", or something, but whatever. Here goes.

Er... Valentine's Day... yeah...

... anyways! Happy Valentine's Day, everybody. Did you know that Valentine's Day originally had nothing to do with romance? The world works in strange ways. In any event, I have come to view Valentine's Day as a day to celebrate love in general. It would be nice if more days were all about love, but hey... take what you can get, I guess.

So even if you don't get to spend today with somebody you want to swap genetic material with, at least spend it thinking about all the people, pets, or things you love. If you can be with said people, pets, or things then more power to you! Show them you care in some way, and it doesn't have to be candy, or a stuffed animal, or what have you. For example; I don't get to be with my woman today, so instead I'm going to hang out with my bff, get high, and play some weird murderer vs murderer tabletop game with him, and my brother. That, and eat as much chocolate as I can get my hands on.

Borderlands? In MY Left 4 Dead? No, not really. =( Though how sick would it be if it was?

In the shower this morning I was just all washin', and whatnot, when suddenly, BAM, great idea. Left 4 Dead with the characters from Borderlands. It almost works too perfectly; a chick, a black guy, a badass with buzzed down hair, and an old man (I just figure Mordecai is old because of his name, and well... he sorta looks it I guess). It would require a little tweak or two to compensate for special powers, but I think it could work, and be pretty god damned entertaining.

Weapon finding would work pretty much the same as L4D, but you could hang on to a certain number of them, and switch while in safe houses. Weapons would have stats, of course.

Lillith and Roland's powers would work pretty much the same as in Borderlands. Mordecai's I figure would seek out, and attack nearby special infected. Brick's power would work like regular melee attacks in L4D2, but be faster, and waste anything they touched (as opposed to staggering infected at the edge of the attack). I think it would be necessary to limit the number of times you could use the powers between safe houses, or give them really long cooldown times.

This is just a poorly thought out idea I had that I felt like jotting down. I highly doubt anything will come of it, but hey... wanted to share. *thumbs up* 8D

I just found out that  getoutofmyheadcharles was banned for like... trolling a troll, or something. I don't know the details. What I DO know is that every post he made was like a ray of sunshine in the bleak, shit-filled, gilded cage world that is the internet.

And to the "moderator" who banned him, and did not punish the other party involved (since from what I understand he was the one who was starting shit to begin with); you're a tool, and you've ruined Christmas. I hope you get a swift kick in the butt from a total stranger. Preferably an old man who then tells you that you suck, but does so with old timey slang.

Just got back from going to see Schaffer The Darklord, and MC Chris in concert at the local college (MC Lars was supposed to be there too, but fell through or somethin'.) Both were god damned spectacular, even with the really small crowd.

S.t.D. is a really energetic showman, and he has a song about an evil Tin Man killing the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow, and raping Dorothy. I mean, you can't go wrong with that. In fact, I think I liked every song the guy did. Definitely check him out.
Chris was just plain hilarious, and of course all of his songs were great too. He did Fette's Vette over the music for Rapper's Delight. A fantastic combination. One of his shirts was the only piece of merch I bought: http://tinyurl.com/32hmt84

After it was all over my friends and I got our photo taken with both of them, and I invited Chris over to play Smash Bros. Brawl. I don't think he heard me, and I decided not to press the issue, and hold up the line. Oh well. Next time I'll be louder.

... in anime when somebody says, "I'll hold him here. You escape." the enemy being "held" doesn't go after the person escaping? They just kind of let them scamper off while staring at the blocking hero. Naruto seems to be very guilty of this. Apparently all it takes to keep a more powerful enemy from killing your friends is to say you'll hold them there, and stare them down. Even if you're almost passing out from pain or weakness, you need only speak those magical words, and try to look tough. Your enemy will respect your bravery, and not kill their target.

Just started watching it. Do they ever explain why the boy, raised since he was a baby by Vikings, doesn't have the same accent as everybody else? ~_~

Edit: Do they ever explain why NONE of the kids have the same fuckin' accent? To be honest, I know why they did it; so simpleton children can associate better with the children characters. However, it still annoys the piss out of me when they do stuff like that.

All-in-all I'm still enjoying the film as a whole.

A good buddy of mine is working on his own game, and he needs help. Particularly of the fundage variety. Did you ever play with Hot Wheels, or Matchbox cars when you were a kid? Well this is like a kick-ass, adult version of that where you get to kill people with them (Think "The Road Warrior," or "Death Race".) In order to start production of the game he needs to reach $300 in the next month (to gauge interest and backing,) or it'll be put on the shelf.

Now,... I know it's hard to part with money, but even just a a dollar helps out. Any amount helps really, and donating is easy.
