Stand up for wolves and boycott this violent and dangerously misleading film.
Like “Jaws,” which made people unreasonably terrified of great white sharks, now comes the movie “The Grey,” which inaccurately depicts wolves as hunters of humans.
Ironically, it’s the humans that are wiping out wolves.
Last April, Congress eliminated federal protection for wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountains. Idaho and Montana immediately set hunting seasons on this endangered animal. The result: 314 wolves killed by sport hunters this winter alone – yet, less than 1,300 wolves live in those two states.
Now Hollywood is inciting terror instead of instilling awe for this beautiful and charismatic creature.
Director Joe Carnahan admits that he fears wild animals. Instead of educating himself, he vilifies wolves as relentlessly evil, further feeding the frenzy created by some who want to wipe wolves off the planet.
In order to make the film, the director ordered four Canadian wolves from a trapper. Two were used to feed the cast and crew and two carcasses became movie props.
Iconic and beautiful, wolves are important ecosystem engineers. Their presence creates healthy landscapes with greater biological diversity, affecting many creatures from beetles to birds to bears.
WildEarth Guardians stands for wolf conservation, and you’ve stood with us. With wolves under relentless attack, we must oppose such a negative portrayal of these amazing animals.
Killing wolves to make a movie and then profiting from their deaths is simply wrong. Send a message to the director that you are boycotting this misleading film.

Posted 14 years agoMy best friend is going through a lot of bad times with his boyfriend and I don't know what I can do to help. We live miles apart from each other and well the situation is like this. (for the sake of keeping their privacy I'll call my friend kitty and his boyfriend puppy)
kitty, me and my husband have been playing a game together for a week while puppy plays a different game. we tried encouraging puppy to join us but he wouldn't give the game a chance now puppy is accusing kitty of always being on a game and not interested in him when all puppy does is play on this one game leaving kitty bored and playing mini games.
Puppy keeps telling kitty how he's going to sleep with his ex's and cheat on kitty then will accuse kitty of cheating. Puppy has also locked kitty in a room without food and drink while he was at work. puppy has also beaten kitty up on numerous occasions.
Puppy started last night because kitty was ill and when to sleep. After kitty slept for a little while puppy tipped kitty's bed up to throw him off and dragged the mattress across the room. He also went through kitty's phone and refused to give it back then threw it across the room and smashed it into pieces.
Puppy also seems to hate that kitty talks to me and seems to think kitty is going to leaving him for me (I'm a female and married plus kitty is gay)

There are some strange people round here...
Posted 15 years agoOK so been a while since I've done a life update journal, probably because I'm not sure anybody actually reads my journals at all. A lot's been happening with planning my wedding, not long to go now at all and I'm already freaking out.
Anyway... I have two stories to tell that explains the title for my journal and I think they will make you laugh.
1)
A friend of mine came round for drinks just before Christmas and we went to get some chips from this takeaway place near my flat. Anyway, we were stood outside smoking and this man wearing a full suit walks into the place and comes out with a pizza and starts talking to us. He was saying how we should be happy because it's Christmas and right before he leaves he put his hand on my friend's shoulder and says 'You were in my last fantasy, you were' and walks off!
2)
Me and another of my friends were stood outside my flat smoking and this man cycled past us, then turns round and cycles back the other way saying 'luuuuuuuuuuucyyyy' then he turned round and cycled right at us saying 'luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucyyy' with these really wide eyes and stupidly creepy grin, looking right at my friend.
So how about that for strange?

Posted 15 years agoThis whole bestiality issue is kind of amusing in one way.
Furrys saying people into bestiality ruin the fandom and there's an article my friend showed me saying how people into bestiality think furrys are ruining the fetish.
Yes in certain cases it's animal abuse and I don't agree with that but it is known there are cases of animals raping humans even if you don't want to believe it.
For example I was on an animal care course a few years ago and all the girls were told by the tutor not to go into the room with the iguana if they were on their period as the iguana can smell it and will attempt to rape them.
Calling people dogfuckers should not be allowed, it IS bullying the same as calling you a 'furfag' it's not nice and it's not necessary. A post on a forum or an account on a forum is NOT proof that they are into bestiality, they could be into anatomy if there's diagrams of the genitals etc or there might be artwork on the forum they like. If you're concerned contact the police or the RSPCA let them look into it. Don't start a journal ranting about 'dogfuckers' and an admin posting a journal on the matter was not needed if anything it's just continued on the drama.

I'm being constantly harassed purely for saying what the hell is the point in bitching. It just ruins the community. I've had submissions reported and removed because of this person being so petty and the admins seem to just ignore my trouble tickets and not do anything about it.
I feel sorry for the good furs here on this site having to put up with shit like this happening.

Life Update
Posted 15 years agoSo... things are pretty shit for me right now. I've done something to my back and have been told by doctors I can't sit, stand or lay down for more than 20 minutes or it locks up.
I got sunburnt yesterday really badly too, on my back as well so not a good time for my back lately.
Lastly.. I got told I have type 2 diabetes today, tomorrow's my first appointment with the diabetes nurse so... not feeling great about anything right now.
While all this is going on I'm suffering with my anxiety and depression badly too.
I'm not writing this for sympathy just needed to get these out of my head so that maybe I'll be able to sleep...
