HEYHEY I'M FINALLY READY TO TAKE ON COMMS AGAIN!!! As I might've mentioned before, I have an internship type thing next semester that goes 4 days a week and I need to start saving a lot more money to move out in the next year or so. Commissions would fit really well into my schedule since I don't have other courses this semester, and ideally I want to try and take on a batch of comms once every two weeks if I can manage it!

This first batch of 2025 will be first come first served, so I'll be announcing the google form opening for responses at 5 PM CST on January 4th! Get your comm ideas ready and be sure to look at my prices/TOS beforehand if you wanna get one!

I really appreciate the interest in my art back when I did comms more consistently and over 2024 as I've been on hiatus; I'm insanely fortunate to even have this as an option and I'm really excited to work with y'all again!!

I'll be doing my best over the next few weeks to organize my accounts some more and prep for opening comms early next year, so keep an eye out for that >:)

WHOOPS!!! If you're following me on twitter you know I've still been posting there but YUP I got one hell of a backlog, but I do plan to post all that because I really like having a high-res gallery here with folders and stuff!

However I do think I wanna reconsider the websites I use... I don't dislike tumblr and I used that for a bit, but idk it felt a little redundant since I still do most of my casual scrolling on twitter. That was my mindset for a while, but I'm realizing I don't really love scrolling twitter these days! I'm preaching to the choir on a lot of this, but I feel like it's structured in a way that breeds a lot of negativity (even more than it used to pre-Elon), and I kinda want to be somewhere where more of my pals/favorite artists are rather than trying to make that place work for things it really isn't made for (artists).

I could ramble about twitter's issues for a while but the root of it is that I think I do wanna change what I use as my primary posting spot, furaffinity will probably always be where I upload backlogs (apologies that I'll still be slow but I know what I'm about LMAO), and I'm thinking Bluesky is likely where I'm gonna switch to posting my art first. I'm not super sure what I'll do with my twitter, I might still use it to announce my comm openings and there's a solid chance it could improve again under new management, but I think I'd like to just run it parallel with Bluesky in the sense that I'd post to both, but only ever really browse Bluesky for the sake of my own sanity.

Also some other stuff! I haven't done comms in over a year on account of me working bigboy jobs and doing grad school! Next semester though I'm not really going to have time to have a job outside of my coursework, SO I plan on taking comms as much as I can in the spring of next year! I wanna overhaul my price sheet and TOS to include stuff I'd be down to draw; I don't plan on raising my prices *much*, but at least enough to the point where it's kinda equal to if I had a part time job. I wanna offer stuff like ref sheets and sequences because I have a lot of fun with those :)

I might start uploading my backlog today or sometime this week as my fall break starts... I apologize that I miss out on so much art by not checking FA as often these days, and I do always still see all the notifications after I upload my backlogs, so wherever you see my art, thank you so much for the support on it!!!

HEYA GANG I hope you enjoyed today's BACKLOG UPLOAD, it was actually pretty small compared to past ones!

And thats in part because I've been nose to the grindstone finishing out my final semester of college!! I do have one summer class left to do in june but i still go to my graduation ceremony on saturday! I've still got quite a bit to do as far as career prep, but not having deadlines for things that need a ton of time outside of class is gonna free up my schedule a TON, hopefully giving me more time for art in the coming months!

I'll definitely be doing a bunch of comms but im kiiiiinda thinking about opening a patreon at some point? I've seen folks use that for character polls, and since i dont do a lot of straight up fanart, I'd be really interested in trying that! I'm open to more suggestions as far as what I could do with a patreon type deal, I kinda just wanna do more stuff with art now that I'm gonna have more time for it!

I also wanna say THANK YOU to everyone who comments/interacts with my work!! I know I'm quite bad about uploading here consistently but it's really nice to have folks that will still comment on my big batch uploads, I really look forward to those when I upload a buncha stuff :)

With how infrequently I upload here I did NOT think I would get to this milestone but holy moly!!!! We did!!!!!!

It feels like it has a little more weight on here than it does on Twitter since this is where I started out with this kinda art! Its been a really fuckin wild past few years since I joined this community, but I'm really thankful that I've gotten to experience all of it. Which is Somewhat Silly coming from someone who frequently struggles to be social even online, but despite that there are really incredible people I've met through my art that have been incredibly kind and outgoing to me over the past few years! I can't thank those people enough for helping me realize that I don't have to become someone entirely different to have meaningful connections with others (but I'm still working on being able to reach out to friends more often)!

In addition to that, I'm so fuckin thankful that y'all have made me feel more confident in my art. I don't mean this in terms of like CLOUT but I can't tell y'all how much it means to me that there's like an audience for my art, I know art isn't about attention but it is an inherently social thing, and I'm so so thankful I get to share it with and do it for others, it's made me enjoy the hell outta art these past few years and really made me more and more passionate about it!!

I think there will come a day where I wanna move on to something else, for YEARS now I've really wanted to make a webcomic, but it's tough to budget time for that and what I do on here. Someday I wanna really prioritize that comic, but idunno, I'm in no rush to stop drawing fatfur stuff since IT STILL IS REALLY FUN, but no matter what happens in the future I'm gonna keep doing art and sharing it with others, and I'm super thankful to everyone that helped me feel confident in doing just that!

I usually reserve my random thoughts for twitter so i havent made a silly bullshit journal here in a minute huh!

Today i ate a cold quesadilla for lunch and it was really darn good actually, i can be Pretty Lazy and frequently dont feel like heating up cold food (unless its like FROZEN im more talking about already prepared refrigerated stuff) and thus i just eat it as is a lot! I genuinely really enjoy cold leftover pizza for breakfast sometimes...

Additionally i have been thinking about frogs lately because dang dude. i like me a good frog. they just make funny little noises at night in the summer and just sit the fuck around, i wanna live that life!!!!!! i think part of why i like them now is because in the past year ive suddenly started to really like politoed for like no reason? just randomly a switch flipped in my head and now i just get happy when i see them theyre just a swell little guy..........

As my last thought of the day, did you guys know that trolli sour gummy worms are like objectively the best candy. because ive had a lot of candy and THERES GOOD STUFF but no other gummy worm (or even gummy anything) comes close to trolli for me its just the perfect texture and the bags of em you can get arent like MONSTROUSLY BIG, my only beef is that i dont like sour dust candy as much as i like sour candy thats just sour on its own without needing the little sour particles, those just hurt my mouth after a while (sour skittles are just not worth it)
