I'm Not Going Anywhere
Posted 2 years agoGreetings, all~!
So, by now we've all heard what's going on with the Great Ambugious Crackdown. Or rather we've heard the contradictory statements and drawn some worrying conclusions.
And whilst it does appear that one of the site admins is driving a puriteen-driven crusade against all they consider unholy, and whilst the fear and distress they've caused are real harm done, I for one am not about to forget the decades for which this place has been a refuge and a resort for Furries of all kinds and calibres. As tempestuous and troubled as life has been, FurAffinity has always been here, like a rock, and I'm not going to jump off it into the cold dark ocean at the first salty spray.
For although they will almost certainly come for the feral furs next, I'm not going anywhere.
I live here. This is a home to me. And they will have to chase me out if they want me out.

Apologies for COVID based delays!
Posted 3 years agoGreetings all!
I still don't make enough journals, these days, eh? Gone are the days I made monthly progress updates. Well! I should at least use these things for announcements like they're intended for! ...I didn't even remember to post one for my now-concluded YCH. Oh well. z: D
Basically, right now I'm apologising for the lack of content over the last few weeks. In short, I caught COVID! Finally, after dodging it all these years since the outbreak!
Turns out, COVID sucks! Even with three jabs!
I tested positive for over 10 days and even now I'm suffering some side effects in terms of lung damage, shortness of breath, and a general resulting lack of energy. Basically, it compounded my pre-existing health conditions pretty nastily and now I see why the NHS put me in for the first round of jabs with the over-60's (they were all looking at me like, "What's thsi kid doing here?" Heh. Sorry folks, I'm right up there with you with the heart troubles.)
The bright news is that now, finally, after excessive amounts of sleeping (9+ per night, from someone who normally sleeps like, 4-6 hours) I seem to be getting back to myself! So soon the content will resume! There are some nice completed pictures waiting to go and soon I'll be releasing a short story that's been waiting in the wings for like, 4 years (I wasn't satisfied with it, I recently re-wrote it!) That along with the result of the recent YCH commission shall all be coming down the pipeline soon enough! So look forwards to it!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Have a good time out there!
And here's to future smut!

The Timeline has Shifted
Posted 4 years agoGood evening all!
Long time no speak. It's been too long since I've done those monthly journals, eh? Well, I'm not restarting those, sorry to say, but I really should make more of an effort to communicate on here again!
For now, I'm updating you all on some changes to the Cafe Plaisir Timeline post! You know the one. It's right here:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19196293/
This is where I sort it all out and clarify for you all, all of the relevant stories, short long and by other authors that related to the main storyline of October at Plaisir. October's Jaunt, Road Trip and Year of October's are all on there, amongst plenty of others! (Including another short series yet to be realised, which started with Beast of the Seas...)
Well, today's changes mainly pertain to Year of October's!
Whilst it should be obvious from the title, it seems like not everyone has twigged that Year of October's is lasting the span of one complete year. And that every main story post represents a month in that year. Well, in the process of writing and posting so much story, twined together with all of the sub-plots, whim-plots, one-offs and whatnot that make up a life in Plaisir, well, there have been a few cock-ups along the way. And some of them were in the wrong place (so it's claimed!)
Well, even though I'm on holiday right now, adventuring over hills and mountains and through mists and rain and adversity, I have spent a little time straightening everything out! Some stories had been incorrectly identified as shorts (when they were in fact the defining character development moments intended,) and some had been placed at the wrong points in the timeline. These issues have now been resolved!
The new order of things (properly reflected now in Gallery Folders, Last|First|Next trackers and the great timeline post) is as follows:
Prologue / Bite Club Epilogue: Together Again
October Back to School
November Bite Club
December Shifting Times
January Upheaval
February Taking it to the Next Level
March Dancing with Shadows (Animation)
April Under Blue Moonlight
May A Hasty Customer (Animation)
During which October has been retrained, launched an unauthorised battle-sex club, got reassigned from the Morning Shift, been overcome by an Umbreon, steadfastly refused to come to terms with his sexuality despite further Dark type dick and until the right wrong Dark type dick caused him to come to some personal revelations and a shift in perspective. With this perspective he now shape up, learn the lessons he's been given and become a better, more well-rounded person who is now good at his job and accepting of opportunities without causing any undue trouble, right?
...You've MET October, haven't you!?
Curious to what happens in the remaining five months?
Stay tuned. ^.^

Posted 6 years agoHello all! As you're most likely aware, I recently launched my 500th Watcher Raffle!

...And then FA went down all week and threw a spanner in the works of the whole thing.
Well, I decided to extend it for a week!
You can still enter or gain more tickets!
The new closing date is Sunday 28th July at 17:00 UK Time where once again, there shall be a stream to celebrate the announcement of the winner! Cohosted by Wrincewind and any other surprise guest stars who we can bring in by shepard's crook. ^.^
Good raffling, everyone!

500th Watcher Raffle Begins!
Posted 6 years agoLadies and Gentlefluffs we have made it!
500 Watchers!Ahhh, with all the fits and starts, the back and forth, the many hours of effort and the 496 submissions to date and I have to say it's a good feeling to finally cross this threshold!
And well, this calls for a celebration! A special event!
The 500th Watcher Raffle!Yep, it's time to reward someone, big-style, for this milestone!
Rewarding them with what you ask? Well, how's about this?
The winner will get a story (up to 10k words!) AND an airbrushed lineless picture (example 1, example 2, example 3), of up to two characters! Combined, these are prizes worth up to £100, so my oh my, what a jackpot ^.^ (And I may be willing to jiggle these around a bit, too!)
And well then, how does one obtain this prize?
Well...
As in all raffles the winner will be determined at in one week's time when all entrants have had ample chance to get in on the game and get as many tickets as one may!
Due to the FA outage of last week, the new closing date is Sunday 28th July at 17:00 where once again, there shall be a stream to celebrate the announcement of the winner! Cohosted by Wrincewind and any other surprise guest stars who we can bring in by shepard's crook. ^.^
How does one get tickets? Well...
The first one?
* Comment on this journal and say you want in on this raffle!
Any others?
* Retweet this promotional tweet on Twitter! https://twitter.com/october_flixard.....92668612177922
* Get a friend to Watch me on FA and get them to drop me a Shout saying who recommended them! You'll both get a ticket!
* Write a very complimentative statement about how Ninetales are the best. ^.^
And that's it! It's on! This raffle is hot! Gogogogo! z: D
July 2019, Second content poll posted and a price change!
Posted 6 years agoJust a quick monthly update journal, today! I hope you're all doing well!
We're inching ever closer to that 500 watcher mark! In fact, I believe we're only two off! Tell your friends! Get two or more of them to watch me! Then I'll start the raffle that you all seemed to favour in the last journal. z: )
Since the first Patreon content poll was such a success, the second one is now up!
https://www.patreon.com/posts/28043015
The options this month include:
Cafe Plaisir: Bite Club part 3
- The conclusion of the current Cafe Plaisir storyline. Now that the club is up and running and the enemies are lining up, what will become of our frisky feral fighters and hunters?
PMD:A 34, The War Begins
- Blackstone is burning and Avalon along with it. It's time we returned to the lands of Berry Valley... things surely aren't too rough back there, right..?
Kindom: Legends
- How does a Pokemon society deal with those huge, powerful, inscrutable Pokemon so far above a regular Pokemon? How do you think they deal with it in the quaint kingdom of the Ninetales Yaughus?
October Tales: The Beauty of Bullets
- October has been on many an adventure outside of Plaisir and the worlds of Pokemon. So hows about we start telling some of those stories? Starting with a tale of gunplay and dubious bravery by neon light...
Other (please specify)
- You tell me. z: )
In other news, I'm announcing an increase in some of my commission prices! Specifically those related to Airbrushed Lineless Art, which from now one will cost 50% more than they used to, up from £20 base and £5 service charge (extra characters, extreme complexity, detailed backgrounds etcetera) to £30 and £7.50 respectively. This is to more fairly represent the time and difficulty involved in producing a piece of this quality!
Also, as a second reminder, not only will I be attending Eurofurence this year in August, but I'll be cohosting a panel with Dark Violet! Sparkledog: The Ultimate Showdown. Be there or be square! And you don't want to be square, do you? You want to make the ultimate sparkledog! Dooo iiiiiit! z: D
In a venture that can only be described as "Oh no, not you lot again!" and "Who keeps inviting these people?", we finally work out how to make the worst Original Character ever - and this time, you're along for the ride...
'Artistic Integrity' is a term that's thrown around a lot these days. Dark Violet and October Flixard will show you why they have exactly none, and neither should you, as they help each of you to design your worst OC ever. Delve into a world of katanas, neon fur and angsty backstories, where there's no such thing as too many colours - or dead relatives.
But why stop there? Afterwards, you'll pit your creations (abominations) against each other in the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Sparkledestiny, as we find out - at long last - who is the greatest Sparkledog of them all!

500 Watchers upcoming?
Posted 6 years agoHey there, all!
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend wherever you are and whatever you're doing!
And if not, do something naughty and smile about it. z: )
What was I talking about again? Oh yes. I've been hovering near the 500 Watcher mark for a while and with the to and fro, fits-and-starts way in which I pick up watchers, that line could be crossed tomorrow or in three months. But it almost certainly will be crossed.
So! the question becomes, what to do about it?
And because I'm busy splitting my time between PMD:A, Plaisir, Commissions for individuals and organisations, I should really concentrate on doing one thing well rather than rush several things! So, which should it be?
Ideal 1: Raffle!
The idea here is that when the day comes, I post a journal and everyone who wants to join the raffle merely says so in the comments. The prize will be a short story (>5k words) and picture (probably lined digital?) combo. One where in a celebratory, prize-giving mood, I might even cover subject matter I might not do ordinarily, if someone is feeling naughty.
Idea 2: Celebratory Mural
In thanks for reaching the 500 mark, I gather say, 24 volunteers (first come, first served) to join me in a big spread picture, in appreciation of those whose interest and enjoyment keep me going on creating.
Idea 3: PMD:A Plaisir Crossover
Wouldn't it be ridiculous? Wouldn't it be fun? Fans of both my major projects have GOT to be curious as to how THIS would play out! z: D
Idea 4: Your idea!
Suggest me something! Pitch it good! C'mon, hit me!

June 2019, New Content Polls on Patreon Announced!
Posted 6 years agoYes, you read that right! I'm trying out something new on my Patreon account!
Those people who support me on Patreon are those sponsoring me to follow my inspiration and write non-commissioned works such as they've gotten to enjoy in the past and which I will always freely share on sites such as FurAffinity and InkBunny. However, up to this point, they've had no say in what part of my work in particular they would like to be sponsoring.
I have heard from time to time from one Patron or reader or another that they were really supporting me for PMD:A and would have like to have seen more of that more often. Or that they'd rather see more one off, whimsical pieces that didn't require one to read through a serial. Or that they'd like to see me branch out into something non-Pokemon related, potentially.
Well, now those of you who are sponsoring me can now have your voices heard, democratically!
The link to the very first Patreon content poll is here!
https://www.patreon.com/posts/27435912
Let's see how this goes. z: )
And whilst I'm here, I might as well talk about my upcoming content as I always do! Only this time with the knowledge that some of you may be voting on it. ^.^
Oh and hey, whilst I'm at it, can anyone think of anything else they might like to see as a feature on my Patreon? Don't be shy, now!
The recent 20%-off-Art, October-needs-money-for-Confuzzled Sale (title still needs work) was a roaring success. I'm still finishing off some of the pieces! And it made my stay at Confuzzled all the more pleasant. My thanks to all who ordered!
I think I may have to run another, soon. After all, I have a good reason for raising more funds... more on that, later.
But for now... well... If you want a still very-reasonably-priced piece sooner than that, please check out my commission price sheet!
Because I'm such a nice Fox though, I'm offering that 20% off for one more day! Note me! z: D

Cafe Plaisir - Bite Club part 2
(Release estimated 14th June)
Nightshade stared, aghast, for a full ten seconds, before uttering, "...Dogs..." in such a sour tone of disgust that nearby food immediately spoiled.
Still, he consoled himself, despite the typical idiocy of his two so-called associates, a few nearby Pokemon were listening. He had planted some seeds of doubt concerning the dominance of the crimson rug upstart. They had heard him and they would spread the words of his mouth around.
From here, with that groundwork set, he just needed a coup to cement his superiority and then, everyone at the Café would know that it was Nightshade, not October for whom they should raise their tails in fear!
All of them. This entire Café filled with bitches... his, as they should be...
The new Bite Club arc of the Year of October's series really gets into gear as Dark forces gather around the group. Both the secretive new club and the open reputation of its members regarded by evil, envious eyes...
...And they shall come to know the name.... Nightshade.
And they shall despise him.
Cafe Plaisir - Detention
(Release Scheduled Tomorrow)
A short comic featuring the best and worst Ninetales at the Cafe, October and Firenze, in yet another of those after-lesson sessions wherein the the Cafe's golden prince takes out some of his usually-hidden frustrations on its greatest miscreant.
Just how far down will a Redtales force his pride for the one Pokemon at Plaisir he holds in high esteem..?
Cafe Plaisir - A Cruel Reception
(Release estimated late June, after conclusion of Bite Club)
He'd advanced timorously downstairs as if he were advancing into the very depths of hell. With a pounding heart and an uncommon weight upon his normally light paws, Acre had hugged the inner wall as he had slunk down into the Café Plaisir basement.
Nervously, with a shaky paw, he rapped his knuckles on the door. Softly.
Of course, there was no answer.
He didn't want to knock louder, didn't want to be a bother, but... he'd come this far.
He knocked louder.
Long diamond-shaped ears perked as he heard movement from inside. A bed creaking, paws hitting the floor, coming closer.
His heart climbed up inside his chest, wanting to escape. The apologies were already clamouring to get out and he looked up in readiness to see-
The door opened and October's head didn't appear where he was expecting it. It took a second before he lowered his gaze.
Towards the faintly irritated frown of the Umbreon.
Now that we're back at Plaisir, it's about time we opened up the first new short story thread. This one is a matter between Eeveelutions, two of the Eeveelutions closest to October, in fact. His closest colleague and favourite customer.
In his absence, just what might these two learn from each other? We should all dread to think... Includes picture and animation!
A birthday present for Acre creator and primary editory, Yuri

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Awakening Chapter 34 - The War Begins
(Release TBD)
"There's the matter of Creeper Mound, sir. Since its initial defense its become something of a logistical hub for our Rescue Teams. Unfortunately, Heather Hills have set their eyes upon it and have begun marshalling for an offensive."
"An offensive against Creeper Mound?" the Ursarig drew himself up.
"Yes. They aren't making any attempt to hide it. I think they're trying to draw us into a stand up fight."
Rostor stood up. "Then a fight they shall have!" declared the big bear, boldly.
An weighty silence fell upon the Guild's Main Hall. It sat uncomfortably upon them all.
"So... it's come to this..." muttered Shinxi, quietly.
No, it's not forgotten. PMD:A is still as ever close to my heart. And whilst other matters have had to hold priority, progress has still taken place on this, my baby PMD epic.
Just you wait. z: )
Kingdom - Legends

Legendaries. Huge, powerful, inscrutable even to other Pokemon. More of a force of nature than a mere mortal being.
Human society never seemed to know how to deal with Legendaries. So, how does a long-established Pokemon society deal with a visit from the beasts that lie beyond mortal ken?
What if they're a bumbling idiot and their able Leafeon assistant?
Find out.

Are any of you going to EF? I'll be at EF! You should see me at EF!
Do you know what else you should see at EF?
Mine and
Dark_Violet 's panel. z: )

Commissions!
Note me! z: D

Upcoming Content!Cafe Plaisir - Bite Club part 2

New Journal, April's End, 2019
Posted 6 years agoGreetings, all~!
Ahhh, it has been quite a long time since I wrote one of these journals, hasn't it? It's a habit I really must get back into. Folk really seemed to appreciate these and I have had a few complaints of their absence.
What's been going on with me since the last one of these I wrote?
Oh, bloody heck, too much to recount. Moving around and about and getting stuff done and trying to do the most for whatever household I'm at whilst ploughing through as much writing as my wrists will let me and improve at art and animation as much as I can! That's about the size of it! ^.^
In other news, another new Plaisir writer has started recently and I'd like to recommend him to you all!
Please welcome
Mesa17 to the fold and check out his new series, Rockin' the Cafe! If you enjoyed Road Trip and the direction it took, then you'll definitely enjoy this series!
Well then, with all that said, let's get into the meat of these journals;
Current and Upcoming content:
Hidden Intentions
(Released!)
A commission for
DarkEeveeon and
ExplosiveCrate winner of DE's 500th Watcher Raffle!
An unusual hybrid seeks an ancient and powerful prize, yet buried by time and the elements, finds it tantalisingly beyond her grasp. Yet what is a wickedly intelligent Mismageon to do?
Well, it just so happens that this land has a guardian, one of great power that a wicked intelligence may dare to deceive and thus coopt to her own ends.
And yet, there's a mere fly in the ointment. An insignificant speck in her plans, but a very persistant one.
Whatever is a wicked girl to do?
And whatever can a duty bound but helpless Furret do in the fact of such wickedness and power?
Read and find out!
For those of you who haven't read The Interloper and haven't met Nathaniel Vinkolt, I recommend you do. He's a bit of a character to say the least, just imagine if October had real power and responsibility and integrity and all of that sort of stuff. No wonder they came to blows. Not to worry though, one is paying his mansion a little visit and having a little fun with his staff.
There may just be more stories to follow in this thread. ^.^
Cafe Plaisir - Year of October's Chapter 1 - Back to School
(Unreleased - due 3rd of May 2019)
"Good morning, class!" said Firenze, striding in, head high and smile at the ready, catching the sun on his golden fur and seeming to gleam as if nothing had ever been wrong with the world in his presence. "It's good to see you all here on time... I'm here to tell you all that a new chapter is opening in Café Plaisir as a business and it starts with all of you."
Yes, it's coming. z: )
The first chapter of the final season of the main story of October at Cafe Plaisir is going to be posted next week.
Yes, the last of the three great arcs. All things must come to an end, but this is just the beginning!
It's going to be a year-long, thrilling, chlling, fluid-spilling ride, it's going to be hot, it's going to be cool and it's going to be wild.
And it's starting next weekend. Look forwards to it. ^.^

Alright! That's seems like a good spread to tantalise you all with! ^.^
Hope you're looking forwards to it all!
Now, whilst we're updating everyone on everything, it's probably best I let you all know an idea I was considering concering my Patreon!
Now, as you all likely know, I remain committed to freely releasing everything I create for my own sake and to continue to create said content as long as people want to share in the stories and more I create!
However, since that also means I consider that all my Patreons have an invested stake in my non-commissioned content, doesn't that mean they should also get some say in what that content is?
So, the idea is that every month I'll offer my Patrons a poll; Which do you think should be my focus for a given month's big release? Likely candidates including Plaisir and PMD:A of course, but perhaps including other options, such as when folks feel I should try my hand at something new or perhaps something not even related to Pokemon at all. Options I'll put on said polls!
So, that said, starting from next month, that's gong to be an option, a trial at first, but if it works, we'll keep it! How about that?
And whatever gets made, it'll all end up on FA anyway. Because that's how I roll. ^.^
In the meantime, all of you be well and take care! Look after yourselves out there!

July 2018 Update! Commission Price Changes Ahoy!
Posted 7 years agoGood evening, all!
It's (probably a little past) time for another of those monthly updates I like to do (and it's better late than never, right?)
It's been a chaotic and and times terrible month, bestricken by tragedy and enriched by highlights. The terror and confusion known as "Life" has indeed been in full force, of late! I lost a family member. But gained some good experiences! I hurt on the inside, but I hope to grow from my pain!
It is a time for reflection and a time to be very glad that I had some stories saved up to post. ^.^;
But anyway!
What do we have to look forwards to? Well... I have to admit, there's been a bit of a holdup in things what with the bereavement and the upheaval and all of that, but I suppose I've got some little thing lying around I can put up, oh, what might that be...
Upcoming Stuff:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Awakening Chapter 33 - The Battle of Avalon
No, you're not misreading. This is happening. ^.^
Yes, it's a bit late, but frankly, the awesomeness just needed time for maturation, that's what I say. Indeed, the peak of the latest arc of the series which many of you started watching me for has come at last!
And oh boy... it's a big one.
Action, adventure, SUCH TERRIBLE VENGEANCE THAT GENERATIONS YET UNBORN CRY OUT IN ANGUISH... chaos, fire, blood, despair... and hope.
Don't miss it!
Oh, hey, did I mention that I was re-writing PMD:A? Did you know that I've already done the first six chapters, polishing them up, removing inconsistencies, typos, all the rest of it?
If you've never read PMD:A up until this point... might be a good time to start. z: )
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Awakening Chapter 1 - A Chance Encounter
SPC - Master of the Mountain
The mountain was capped with snow where it scraped against the heavens themselves. Where blue and white meet in a place of grand beauty. It is where an ancient and powerful beast lays claim over a grand natural domain. A grand prize for a skilled and audacious challenger.
This is a tale that became a founding myth connected to a long-living legend. This is a story of a conflict that became a connection which became a founding stone for a people and a way of life.
This is a story with a hot martial arts chick and a big sexy snowtales.
You know you wanna.
So! This is also announcing the very first collaboration between myself and the powerful Poke-smut collective, Someone's PC! Yes, they commissioned me to produce a piece for them and well, I made sure to bring my A game. z: )
Make no mistake, this will be appearing in my gallery for free, as I promise through my own Patreon, but for those of you who want to see it sooner, I heartily recommend signing up for:
Someone's PC on Patreon:
A collective of six skilled Pokemon writers and artists who pool their talents to produce a monthly crop of sexy smut! They're well worth a look!
And since they're the ones who paid of this piece, they get the right to show it first. ^.^
Commission Price Changes:
Yes, it's that time again. It was last year that Dark Violet helped me produce this nifty 2017 price sheet but now it's time to assess the situation and revise my prices! (There'll probably be a nice new price sheet, too.)
Story prices will now be at £5 / 1000 words (~$6.50 / 1000 words.) This price better reflects the time I put into each project! At the start of a commission, I’ll outline for you the basic plan and projected length of the story, and you’ll also receive updates as I write it! ^.^
Meanwhile, art prices are going down! That’s right! What cost you £10 before now might now only cost you £7.50. I’m wanting to be a little experimental with my style in future, combining my current sketch stages with older styles and methods, which I hope will produce much better art as a whole. To this end, I’m also offering brand new sketch and lineart commissions too - be sure to check those out!
So! Here's the New Prices:
The base cost pays for a single character plus any simple props or costumes.
The Extra Service charge is applied for the following:
* An Extra Character
* A particularly extravagant character (one roughly representing the workload of a whole extra character)
* A background
Base Cost Extra Service
Doodles: £5.00 £1.00
Watercolour: £10.00 £2.50
Lined Coloured: £15.00 £5.00
Airbrush Lineless:£20.00 £5.00
Linework Comcs: £2/panel
Coloured Comics: £4/panel
Stories: £5/1,000 words
Summer Scene Competition!
I always like to have some third thing for my journals and I generally like to make it fun.
Well then!
It's been a lovely Summer and for all the awful things that have happened during it, the glorious sunshine has not been one of them!
So here's what I want from you; Comment below and come up with some little scenario involving some of the characters from of one of the story series I write and the theme of summer weather. Could be funny or perverse, either or or whatever else is good with me. Make me smile. ^.^
What do you get? Well, if I particularly like one, I'll doodle you up a sketch to bring your scene to life! Might even write 1k short to go with it! How's about that?
Remember to have fun with your idea. ^.^

An update on some things.
Posted 7 years agoSo...
This weekend I was meant to be posting Cafe Plaisir - Road Trip: A Tale of Red Cheeks.
Unfortunately this week, tragedy struck. A dear member of my family, my darling cat and little sister, Rosie, lost her battle with cancer. She was sent off with a gathering of friends and went surrounded by loved ones. She went out as dignified and strong as she had been in life.
She will be dearly missed.
Yet in the meantime, i'm not really in the mood to give a story post the attention it deserves, so please accept a few pictures in the meantime. It's not my usual Friday night spectacular, but usual service will be resumed soon!

June 2018 Update!
Posted 7 years agoIt's long past time I posted another update journal, methinks! I really need to get back into the swing of these!
Well, how's about we start with some upcoming stories for the next few weeks?
Upcoming stories for the next few weeks:
Road Trip - In the Dark Cellar <- Now posted! Click for link.
A commission for
ExplosiveCrate
There is a House in New Orleans,
Where I've come to have some fun,
and it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
and gods, Damian is one.
Coming this weekend is a real treat for fans of NC porn, bondage and the darker side of the Road Trip. Based on a cancelled Cafe Plaisir: Road Trip chapter, we have ExplosiveCrate to thank for the ressurection of this tale (only missing a B-plot where the rest of the gang attend a gumbo eating competition.) Twenty thousand words of rich, stewed in badness in which some deep lore is revealed about friend and enemy alike.
Road Trip - Little Engagement
Come here, October, I've got a job for you. There's one more little shuffle-around I'd like to do before this trip is through.
There's time yet for one more Road Trip short written by myself on my own initiative! After all, there are still some things that I (and more to the point, Firenze) wanted to get done on this Road Trip, some more opportunities to provide, some more lessons to be learned, some more fun to be had!
Look forwards to it week after next!
Road Trip - A Tale of Red Cheeks
The sprawling shadow snaked over them all, proceded by a devilishly charming smile under fine red eyes.
"Oh? We're telling embarrassing stories, are we?"
His gold fur gleamed red in the firelight.
A commission for
Dark_Violet themselves!
Another commisson? Another short? Why yes! But not just any. This one was commissioned by Dark Violet right near the start of the project, well over a year ago. Well, here it is, as promised, one more happy tale - or a pile in one as the case may be - to cap off this grand journey across America.
A happy penultima... before the end.
...And there we have it! Three short stories in quick succession all leading up to the end of the Cafe Plaisir Road Trip! Why yes, sadness and horror, the end is nigh!
It's been quite a ride.
But the end is gonna be great.
And then... there's the getting back. z: )
So, is that all? Just a bunch of Road Trip shorts and then the final chapter? Well, not quite. I've heard a few grumblings for a while that I've been focussing too hard on Cafe Plaisir. Well, I do listen to these things, even if I take great pride in being a contrary sod. I'm whimsical though and sometimes my whims are cooperative.
So keep your eyes open in the weeks to come for non-Plaisir content. It could be PMD:A. It could be Kingdom. It could be a commission for someething else entirely. It could be something non Pokemon for all you know.
You're just going to have to wait and see. ^.^
The Part of the Journal where October asks for Critique
What?
Huh!
I suppose I have been making a regular feature of this, lately.
Well, I have to admit that I am curious as to what people are making of the new art styles I've been trying out! Following the Appeal to Critique and the acquisition and application of Clip Studio Paint, a newer and far more capable art package than gimp, I've been trying out a range of new things!
Note, most of the following are NSFW!
Firstly, lets have a look done in my usual lineless, shaded, textured, airbrushed style.
For reference, here's a couple of my older pieces made with Gimp:
A Stick Situation with a Spiderant
Tickled Pink and White
And a couple made in CSP with the old style:
Soaring through the Virtual Skies of Badassery
Sometime Up Close and Messy
Now, let's contrast with:
Tender Loving Cruelty in a linework-only style.
Bolt, the birthday Jolt in a lined flat colour cartony style.
Still in Business in a lined semi-textured style.
A Glowing Willow Tree in a fusion style, with both linework and airbrushing.
So!
What works?
What doesn't?
What would you like to see more of?
What might you like to see me try?
I'd love to know!
Progress, progress, progress! Let's make some. ^.^
Some other, third thing.
Oh come on, Journal headers, you are having me on, now! What am I meant to do here, fill in time?
Oh alright, alright, alright.
For those of you who've read this far, I'd like you to vote in a non-binding opinion poll on what you'd like to see next out of me after the current batch is posted!
A: The Last Chapter of Cafe Plaisir: Road Trip
B: The Last Chapter of the current arc of PMD:Awakening.
C: The next Chapter of PMD:Kingdom.
D: Something altogether different, Pokemon-related.
E: Something altogether different, not Pokemon-related.
F: A story featuring Willow, my new Leafeon character.
To prove you're paying attention, make the first work of your comment start with the letter of your vote. It has to be a proper word and an actual part of your first sentence. It wouldn't be any fun if there were no challenge, after all. z: )
Thanks for reading so far if you have and be well anyway if you haven't. ^.^

April Update - Turbulent Times!
Posted 7 years agoHello, everyone!
It's been quite a while since I've done one of these journals! My apologies for that.
Well, time to correct that as well as update you all on recent developments! First of all, no post last weekend, sorry for that, too! I normally like to make sure that I make a post every Friday where possible, but alas, this has been a particularly chaotic month! Being essentially on holiday the first two weeks, seriously ill for the latter two and then moving house (again,) I dare say I have grounds to say I've been reasonably distracted!
Still though, that doesn't mean I'm not going to make it up to you all with some upcoming content. ^.^
So! What's in the pipeline?
Upcoming Works:
Plaisir - Short - Still in Business
I've recently been inspired to indulge some terrible inspiration... and revisit some old ground... some... shall we say, Dark ground. Say, the kind you get when you're standing on one astral body and another comes between it and its main source of illumination. That guy. It's not an April Fool's joke, this time, either.
A juicy, if monstrous short. Look forwards to it this weekend!
Plaisir - Road Trip - 07 - The Badlands part 3
Read part 1 and part 2 here!
This month's main-series post is the thrilling conclusion of the latest installment of the Cafe Plaisir - Road Trip saga! The crew of the RV Plaisir have found trouble in the Rocky Mountains, the last great barrier between east and west on the grand continental nation of the united states. Here, where civilisation runs thinnest of all, the jaws of danger close in upon the unwary hedonists of Plaisir, leaving them stranded, surrounded and seperated in the Badlands.
The hour of their greatest need is upon them. Can they yet prevail? Find out next weekend!
Commisioners:
Don't worry, in all of the chaos you haven't been forgotten. I don't want to give anything away, but I want the following of you to know:
DarkEeveeon and The Burning Woods
FAWayne and Food Porn II
ExplosiveCrate and In the Dark Cellar
Starts have been made on all of your stories. I am optimistic that one of your stories will be featured as the weekend after next's post. ^.^
Results of the Appeal to Critique!
Writing:
For those of you who were unaware, in February I posted a journal requesting feedback and critique for my current operating practises. It can still be found via this link, here.
One of the suggestions levelled was that I try posting shorter parts more frequently. Well, I attempted that with this, latest main chapter of the Cafe Plaisir - Road Trip saga! Alas, with mixed results. Whilst the individual parts have been quicker to write and easier to digest, the extended process of critique, editing and approval required for a Cafe Plaisir piece may just make this impractical. Polish must be applied, characters by other authors must have their portrayals approved and people can only sit down to do these things when they have time - and it's better to consolidate.
In future, there may be some wisdom in splitting up the posting of larger chapters into bite-sized chunks, but this would have to be after the fact. For now, it's been a case of much shorter chapters released only slightly more often, sad to say. And plus, people come to me for hefty reads, don't they? I hate to let them down, there, So I'm still conflicted!
As for PMD:A I have a freer hand, there, but still like to get the pieces properly critted and polished before positing them. Still, when I soon finish off Chapter 33: The Battle for Avalon, which has been sadly neglected given the awful timing of it being the piece I was working on when I destroyed my wrists and was unable to write for three months (I've become averse to my favourite story! Whinge!) I'll see about splitting that up for delivery, perhaps!
Oh! Concerning PMD:A, did you know that I've been working on a re-write? It's true! So far, the first six chapters have been touched up, repolished, straightened out and generally improved. If you fancied giving them another read, now's a good time. ^.^
Art:
Now there have been some significant developments, here!
It's fair to say that my art has been significantly underperforming compared to my hopes, expectations and investment of effort. So, after consulting you all, I decided to try some experiments. Making proper use of Clip Studio Paint, which Freaky was kind enough to get me for my birthday, I've been experimenting with lined art and more cartoony styles.
Example 1: Tender Loving Cruelty a purely linework comic.
Example 2: The Pretty Glaceon of Plaisir a lined, coloured picture.
which should be compared with the picture for Mozarella Stuffed Bre which uses CSP with my more typical style.
Now, honestly, it's early days and hard to say, but so far these newer pictures are underperforming compared to the ones done in my old style. I'm not sure how well this is working out for me.
I'll have to keep on experimenting and trying new things, as is in the essense of creative pursuits, but so far, definitely leaning towards learning a few lessons and then switching back to my previous style. Well, we'll see how things go!
Though, uh... it's going to have to wait a bit.
You see, my Tablet is kind of dying on me. The USB port has been working less and less as time has wore on. It was manageable at first, but now it's gotten to the point where I simply can't practically draw.
There is some hope of getting the thing fixed and I can borrow a tablet some of the time, so we're not in complete panic stations, but expect less art for a while, sorry. ^.^;

An Appeal for Critique - Advice is needed.
Posted 8 years agoI realise it's been a while since my last journal and a number of you have mentioned you've been missing them, well, this isn't a return to form just yet, I'll get back to posting those soon, but not yet, first... I have something to ask of you all.
Three journals ago, back in September, I celebrated my 300th Watcher.
Last week, I reached 350, got up to 352 and I was set to pat myself on the back and celebrate. This week, I'm down to 349. This isn’t an anomaly, either - I lose watchers frequently, sometimes faster than I gain them. I have to ask myself - why?
With over a million words of story and countless hundreds of hours poured into art resulting in over three hundred submissions so far, so I feel like it can’t be the quantity or the dedication that’s keeping me back. There a lot of folks on FA with far more Watchers for far fewer submissions and even taking into account some of my 'niche' factors (long stories, depreciated art style) this seems... lacking.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't do this for the numbers, I do what I do because I love doing it. I'd most likely keep on creating if I was still under a hundred Watchers and nothing, let alone over three hundred, with a regular Patreon that frankly allows me to survive and a list of commissions I just can't keep up with. Don't think for a second I don't appreciate every part of that, because I wake up every day and want to work hard for you all.
Still, that number of Watchers can't help but feel like some unspoken rating of approval... and when it actively backslides like that, when effort yields a negative result, I have to ask the question; What am I doing wrong?
This problem is compounded by the fact that this is my primary occupation - I afford to eat and live based on my dear commissioners, along with my wonderful supporters on Patreon.
So I'm asking you all, my Watchers, to tell me what you think I could be doing better.
It could be consistent flaws you've seen in my art or writing. Something you think I do which others may find repellant. Perhaps you think I should be doing more of one thing or less of another. Not only do I value your opinions and strive to be the best artist and writer that I can be, but I literally survive based on my success as an artist and writer - and if you think I’m doing something wrong, or aren’t doing something that could really help me, I want to hear it.
It can be anything - whether it's regarding my artistic skill, the kind of things I draw, the length or content of my stories - whatever you’re thinking about. If you’ve ever thought to yourself “I like this guy’s stuff, but-”, then I want to hear that.
Whether in a note or in a comment on this journal, I'd love to get your advice. Because whilst I love what I do and I'm determined to keep on doing it, neither do I want to take your interest and support for granted, so... let's hear it.

Sunshine State part 2! + Recommendations and Renovations!
Posted 8 years agoNews:
Yes, after all this time it's here! The latest Main Chapter in the Cafe Plaisir series! Sorry about the six month wait, but the latest part of Road Trip has finally been released!
Weighing in at 45 thousand words it ought to be well worth your while! Put together with the 35k from part one, well, basically this means that Sunshine State is essentially a small novel all on its own. ^.^
Hey, does anyone else remember when the Cafe Plaisir Road Trip was going to be a short series of 10k shorts done over the course of a few months? Not a gargantuan, multi-book monster series that fleshes out the Plaisir world in general? No? Oh well. ^.^
I suppose that means we'll just have to enjoy the rest of the trip. z: )
Renovations:
In other news, did you know that I sometimes renovate and improve on old pieces of artwork without making much of a fuss about it? Well, here's three of them!
Sunshine State Promo Poster
Hot and Hasty
Declaration of Fun
Recommendations:
So, that's all very exciting, but not all!
I thought that whilst I was at it, I might as well do my duty as a good citizen of the Cafe Plaisir scene and point out that this isn't the only exciting thing happening in Plaisir of late!
Be sure to check out some of these exciting offerings!

Copernican Theory by
Nicolaus
A Meowstic comes to Cafe Plaisir, with no money to his name and nothing to do. So begins his courtship with the nearby centre of business, commerce and sordid filth. One of a whole batch Nico posted recently, telling the tales of his arrival! Fun stuff and well done, if you can stand a lack of powerplay and mischief, that is. ^.^
...and let us most certainly not forget, if you haven't already seen...
If You Lie with Dogs by
Dark_Violet
A curious little Vulpix wearing a most curious accessory comes to Cafe Plaisir. The pumpkin-bearing visage of the sweet and spooky Tasha, who finds herself drawn into this veritable den of sin and intrigue in a sordid tale of things going around and coming around in most unexpected and exciting ways. What a curous girl, this Tasha... and something tells me we'll be seeing more of her, in future...

Yes, after all this time it's here! The latest Main Chapter in the Cafe Plaisir series! Sorry about the six month wait, but the latest part of Road Trip has finally been released!
Cafe Plaisir: Road Trip - Sunshine State part 2Weighing in at 45 thousand words it ought to be well worth your while!
Wings of the Phoenix; Burning by
ArouraPhoenixThe newest member of the Cafe Plaisir fold, Pheonix is a beautiful, effeminate white Ninetales of great Psychic talent who recently arrived as a customer and has already began turning heads. Beautiful description and the promise of a long and deep storyline with powerful emotional resonance combined with lusty feral fun make this one to be sure not to miss!
Café Plaisir: Sibling Shenanigans-Chapter 2 by
Zaycara32The sequel to the first, fun Sibling Shenanigans story by the fun Eve, we catch up again with the adorable Umbreon and Espeon brother sister duo as they get deeper into the world of Plaisir and indeed, Plaisir gets deeper into them. Lots of fun, check it out. z: )
Copernican Theory by
NicolausA Meowstic comes to Cafe Plaisir, with no money to his name and nothing to do.
If You Lie with Dogs by
Dark_VioletA curious little Vulpix wearing a most curious accessory comes to Cafe Plaisir.

LakutaOctober October Begins!
Posted 8 years agoHey hey, hraflings! Here's October!
Ahh, but seriously though. First journal since my post-300 feedback request (still curious for more if anyone's got anything further to add!) and it's time to kick off October October! It's going to be Octoberey!
One has already kicked things off with The Body Needs, a revisit of Ice, the Icetales of Matters of the Body fame, a story wherein a certain crimson Ninetales sets out to even the score with that demon of the deep mountains! ...It may not be the most auspicious start to the month for me...
All the same, there's a great deal of great stuff upcoming! I've received a number of exciting Halloween comission requests which I've been working through and there's already at least one finished piece I can scarcely wait until the end of the month to post! More to come, too. Things to excite and delight... and things to chill you to your very bone... and others to... well, insert obvious bone joke, here! ...But not in me, though! No, don't knot in me! Nooo...!
...Heh, like I could resist. ^.^;
...Wait, that wasn't part of the joke! ...Eh, never mind, might as well roll with it, now! Like I have any decency. I'm October in October, dammit.
...Oh, narcissism porn... there's a thought. Nineninenine~ z: )
In other news, finally remembered to put my signature on 8 or so of my most recent pictures. Except only after hundreds of people have already seen them. Dammit. <.<
All that said, I'm sure most of you are waiting for that itemised list of the, (non secret or confidential, for a Fox never reveals it all at once,) things to come!
List of Things to Come!
Plaisir - Road Trip - 05 - Sunshine State part 2
To the exclusion to all other but the most quick and minor of tasks, to the limit of my daily ability to write with tendonitis, this has been my primary focus this month and I'm happy to finally say...
The first draught is complete. z: )
It has passed the approval of the Road Trip's grand sponsor, the great
Dark_Violet
Second draught is getting there.
It is currently being assessed by the wise ones of Cafe Plaisir.
Third draught will follow.
When the $10+ patreons get their look.
It's already 42,000 words long. People who've been missing my longer stories shan't be disappointed. In fact, if you add this to the 36k of part one, this is already the longest single storyline I've ever put out. In fact, that makes Sunshine State longer than the average book sold on Amazon. It's definitely a novella. Hey; anyone else remember when I intended for Road Trip to be a series of 10k shorts? ...Ehh, I'm sure I'll make the last few chapters shorter. ^.^;
One spoiler I shall give you now: Expect thrills, spills, excitement, awe and horror. This is the most epic storyline yet. ^.^

Guri256 has been waiting in the wings for Sunshine State to be completed, since it comes afterwards, chronologically. Should serve as some light relief for the big story! This one is a fun and messy caper in a supposedly utopian city. Look forwards to it, soon!

300 Watchers! Hooray! So... time to request feedback!
Posted 8 years agoI am pleased to announce that I finally broke the 300 mark, this weekend!
It's been a long hard road getting here with a huge amount of effort having gone into 278 submissions. Though more than any mere numbers, what I'm really proud of is having people give a damn about my work to comment, fave and talk to me about my stories and pictures, even going as far as to fund and support me through Patreon, Kofi and commissioned work. Knowing people care for my work that much and that some have even been inspired in turn makes every minute of it all worthwhile!
I don't just have 300 watchers, I have 300 of the best watchers. The kind of watcherbase that is active and involved out of all proportion to their overall size to a degree that I know some envy. Well, I appreciate that and every one of you. ^.^
So! Thank you, everyone! For everything!
That said, now that we're here, now's a good time to as some questions, such as what do you all think of how things stand with my output, where to go from here... and should I attempt to reach a wider audience? Logically speaking, as someone who loves what they're doing, I should at least ask the question; what could I be doing better?
278 Main Gallery submissions (plus 24 in scraps) for 300 watchers could be considered a poor ratio, though I have personally always accepted that I was always going to have a niche appeal, for a number of reasons;
In general, the majority of my content is mostly-feral, Pokemon smut of variable gender preferences (at the least, hetrosexual, homosexual (M/M and F/F,) bisexual and hermaphrodite are all covered in my gallery.) Incorporating some light fetishes and some occasional harder ones. Now it could be said that this first paragraph is one of the great filters of potential watcher-base to begin with, since that's not a cocktail for everyone, to say the least.
This seems like an inherent problem. Thumbnails could potentially help, by better warning/advertising the contents of stories and pictures, but would make for smaller, less eye catching notifications in a lot of cases and furthermore... I would have to produce an awful lot of them. Think it would be worthwhile?
Story wise, I write long, elaborate pieces requiring a lot of investment on the part of the reader. Which some folk love (and I love you all for loving it!) though it's not for everyone. To some extent, that's just the kind of writer I am. I have to some extent tried to write some shorter pieces to try and please more people more often, though even these tend to be long for the kind of fap-and-go pieces some tell me are popular.
On this score, I feel like I'm already at a good balance point. I work on the longer story pieces (CP: RT - Sunshine State part 2 and PMD:A 33 are both nearly done) whilst getting out a steady steam of moderate-length commissions and occasional very-short whimsical pieces as and when I can. Stories are already a relatively rarified field in general and I think I'm doing okay. Still, if anyone feels I should be doing anything different or better, now's a good time to let me know!
Art is a different issue; I really started from scratch here and there's been a million little lessons to learn, one at a time. I didn't really start drawing until much later and at first my art was terrible. Then it was just kind of awful. There's been a looong period of transition and now? It's sort of getting there, to a standard I find acceptable, finally. There's really not been any way to shortcut this other than to just keep throwing myself into it and learning those million lessons. I remain committed. I believe I'm getting better.
There's also the issue that I prefer lineless, shaded, semi-realistic to realistic style art in a field that seems to much prefer plain coloured, lined art in a cartoonish style. Well... here I think it's just a case of me liking what I like. For better or worse, which has for the most part been worse when one is using a style which is less forgiving of imperfection. Still, getting better!
The attention my art has been getting has been on a steady ascent, so it seems like others agree with me on the getting better part, but still, is there anything anyone thinks I should know, here? Anything I should be doing differently or giving a try?
So! There are things as they stand!
Things are going well, I am proud to be where I am but I'm not so proud that I'm not prepared to sit down and listen to what others might have to tell me about what I'm doing and how I might be going about it better!
Let me know!
And if you're reading this, thanks, again!

August October's long overdue update journal!
Posted 8 years agoSo! There's problem a few of you wondering what's going on in the world of October!
...Well...
In the wake of Dark Violet, Wrince and others being away at Eurofurence this week, I have beenutterly despoiling looking after Cafe Plaisir in their absense! Fun things are in the works, many of which are overdue, some of which are soon to come!
My tendonitis issues have been settling down and whilst there has been some reoccurence of pain and potential damage, I've none the less being starting to pick up pace on my writing, again!
So, what's in the pipeline?
Plaisir - Road Trip - 05 - Sunshine State part 2
Of course, a lot of you are missing the longer pieces as part of wider series I usually put out... and yes, I've been missing that fix as much as the rest of you.
Finally making good headway with this after months of frustratedly staring at the document, wanting to type more but not being able to!
I'll bet a lot of you are wondering what's happening here after the shocking conclusion of part 1... well... hopefully you won't be left waiting for too much longer. Look forwards to this in September, I expect.
Once that's completed, look forwards to:
Cafe Plaisir - Big on October
A commission for
Guri256 this one has been waiting in the wings for Sunshine State to be completed for the sake of story sequentiality. This one is... a caper. A messy caper in a supposedly utopian city...
As expected from one of Guri's commissions, the result is an embarrassed Ninetales and major capers! I'm sure you'll all look forwards to it...
...almost as much as you're going to be looking forwards to the other commission I just completed for him... but that's a ways off in the future yet, still...
PMD:A chapter 33
A similar story to Road Trip, here. Lots of sad staring, a lot of small notes made, but no power to make serious progress for some time, now! Well, similarly this is halfway done and I have hopes it won't be too much longer. (Finally.) I fear at this point the biggest delay remaining on this is the sheer onerous weight of embarrassment at having taken so long...
...But Verrin and Waxell have not been forgotten. What already exists of this chapter is looking good.
As a show of good faith, I'm going to be putting up a lot of the completed scenes so far for the Patreon supporters to see!

June Update! Art Prices going up soon! Buy now!
Posted 8 years agoHello all!
Tendonitis issues still playing up, so I'll be keeping this relatively brief! Apologies still to all those awaiting writing commissions or the latest parts of my ongoing series, as my wrist is still trying to explode, rendering me unable to write effectively. Fortunately, I can still draw!
On that topic, in fact, the main news is on the art commission front!
After due consideration, I've decided to change my pricing structure for pictures! This due to the developments I've made in the year since the prices were last changed and they're intended to reflect the increase in quality (and time taken) for my main style as well as the development of a simpler style for quicker commissions!
These are up for some discussionk, but one way or another will be going into effect from Sunday 25th June!
For the meantime, my current commission prices still stand, so if you want a complex commission at my current prices, better grab one now!
Quick style:
Typified by quick turnaround time (can nearly always be done in an evening) and has an economy of detail, with simple shading and texturing just where it matters the most. Usually has a simple, stylistic background.
Clean Example
Mature Example (Holding Sex Toy)
Adult Example (F Food play)
Base cost: £5
Additional Character: £2.50
Complex Background: £2.50
Complex style:
Typified by me taking the time to make the picture look as good as possible. Usually takes several days of work, with full texturing, shading and lighting. Always has a drawn background, usually sold with a complex background.
Clean Example
Mature Example (Butt.)
Adult Example (M/F)
Base cost: £10
Additional Character: £5
Complex Background: £5
Comic commissions:
I have on occason drawn and been commissioned to draw full comics! These are usually done in a simpler style to suit the smaller panel size with an economy of detail taylored panel-by-panel.
Clean Example
Adult Example (M/M/F)
Base cost: £6/panel
So! That's the generals of my updated art commission prices! Again, these will be going into effect from Sunday 25th June!

Posted 8 years agoHello all!
Sorry to those of you who haven't heard from me in a while, there's a reason!
About a week and a half ago I started getting serious pain in my right wrist. This kept on increasing the more I tried to write and eventually got bad enough that I went to hospital to find out what was going on. It turns out I have tendonitis and tryng to force through the pain was making the issue worse. I've been put in a splint and told to take it easy.
Ultimately I can't type fast enough, for long enough with enough focus to write stories in this state. So I'm falling behind both in terms of commissions and main series posts. Apologies to all and I beg your patience. No one is more frustrated about this than me.
Since I'm left-handed, however, I can still do art and therefore if anyone is thinking od getting one of my very reasonably priced art commissions, now would be a good time!

April's come around and all is in turmoil
Posted 8 years agoHello there!
Long time no journal. I suppose I should explain myself!
So, I previously mentioned my issues with unstable housing and with quitting smoking having disrupted most of my ongoing projects!
Well, I can report that at least I'm consistent with those issues for the time being! I'm moving my main base of operations again and all is chaos. Doom and peril. Woe and carnage! Though the new place is apparently in a rather pretty place! Here's hoping it has internet. ^.^ I am currently cowering in Dark Violet's care. z: )
Oh, on the bright side, it's been more than three months and a hundred days since my last cigarette. I'm no longer craving them like I was and I am starting to regain the ability to write without them again. Though as well as my natural biochemistry restarting normal dopamine production the stimulant effect of nicotine is a classic with writers for good reason. It is freaking hard making the adjustment to writing without smoking, but I'm freaking doing it.
So! That probably leaves you all wondering what's up with what's coming down the story pipeline?
Well...
Café Plaisir - Road Trip 5 - Sunshine State
The latest episode in the main Café Plaisir storyline has been eating up a lot of my time of late. Heavily overdue as it is, it's needed the attention and ultimately, it turns out I'm going to have to split it into two parts to fully realise my story ideas. Those of you missing longer stories by me should be pleased to see this when the first part finally comes out, soon!
Café Plaisir - Big on October
Is a commission for veteran Plaisir customer
Guri256 and the first story set after Sunshine State, (which is the main thing holding it back from being posted, for now.) This one is otherwise fully written... and fun... big fun. Which as usual for one of Guri's commissions, has turned a crimson Fox red in the cheeks!
...And with incomplete Plaisir commissions currently in progress for three other commissioners (which I'm choosing to keep confidential for now, for various reasons) which I can reveal are all fun, all awesome and all on the way, the future in and out of Plaisir is bright, indeed!
Oh and the past... keep your eyes open for the re-written and updated Café Plaisir: October's Jaunt Chapter 5 - Twin Shenanigans with new art that's due to be updated this weekend!
So! Some new things and a revised classic!
Which brings us to:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Awakening: Chapter 33: The Battle for Avalon
Which has been waiting the longest. I'm sorry, I really am. However, it has not been going without progress. Just slow progress. I can confirm that chief beta-reader Fox Yuri has reviewed recent additions to this ongoing chapter and believes that this long awaited chapter is both exciting and thrilling! Keep your hopes alive, PMD:A fans, because this story isn't done!
So! Sorry things have been taking so long, but I've had some real life difficulties to overcome! I promise to make the wait well worthwhile with some weighty stories for you to sink your teeth into!
Be well and take care, fair readers! You're all wonderful to work for and it's my pleasure to entertain you! Now and for the forseeable!
