Three Years Away From 50
Posted 2 weeks agoAugust 27th is here and once again, I'm another year old and another part of me lesser... this time my eyesight. First it was my hearing several years back. Now my eyesight has gotten blurry with things up close, an age-related condition known as presbyopia. I think I've had it for a number of years now, but it just got to a point where I'm really now noticing how blurry my vision is with near objects and especially small text. So looks like I'm taking my eyeglass frames out of storage and getting new lenses crafted for them. Since my distance viewing is still fine, the lower half will be essentially for reading and the upper half will be plain lenses.
I'm happy to be back into the story-making groove after several years of lost muse. I'm working on the next big story after The Beastly Beauty and it's coming along well. Expect updates in the coming weeks. But yeah, thought I'd announce my birthday.

Posted 3 months agoAs I've said before, I don't like the idea of an art site being flooded by AI art. I feel like it takes away from human artists and drastically overshadows their work. That being said, I do support the idea of AI art being used sparingly and supplementally, such as (in my case) a unique cover image for a story with the image not based on any existing artist's work. I tried posting it here, but like clockwork, the FA mods deleted it. Admittedly, I forgot AI isn't allowed here, so that was on me. So I basically am asking for help in identifying specific art (or rather, story) sharing websites that allow AI art on, at least, a basic level. Obviously, deviantART is one such place, and in a twist of fate, I'm posting my stories there, since they allow PDF uploads. But Archive of Our Own, which I've created an account with, is very limiting with its HTML formatting, preventing me from replicating my custom HTML formatting for my stories there. Plus, they don't allow PDF uploads. As far as I can tell, they allow AI imagery, but I'm struggling to figure it out.
Itaku WAS my other destination for posting these stories, but I found out they don't allow any AI art either. So I need help with which websites allow both AI imagery and PDF uploads for the stories themselves, even if the former came with conditions. Please and thank you.

Coming Soon...But Not on FurAffinity
Posted 3 months agoUPDATE 5/29/25: After discovering that Itaku doesn't allow AI imagery of any kind, I'll need to consider alternatives. I swore I'd never post there again, but it seems deviantART is, ironically, my best option outside of AO3...which I'm still waiting on to create an account there. I posted the teaser for the upcoming story there, for whoever is interested.

schirm, I’ll go ahead and continue to post something every once and a while to mainly let my watchers here know where I am. However most of my content will still be posted on Itaku and AO3 exclusively…maaaaybe deviantART as well, but I haven’t decided. Thank you all for your understanding.

And to those who may criticize my use of AI art, when I've criticized its existence myself, I made this very sparingly and for promotional purposes. You still won't find any AI art in my galleries or faves, unless it was made by someone else of my characters.

Still waiting on my invite to create an AO3 account.
I'm removing my original message, because at this point, it no longer matters. I'm moving forward and anyone interested is perfectly welcome to share in the stories I post.

This winter was torture...
Posted 5 months agoI...
1. Threw out my back from overlifting. Took over two months before it (mostly) fully healed and I finally got my old back strength back.
2. Had some nerve issues that affected my back, arms and legs that were random. Those finally healed once my back did.
3. Hit my head more than once while at work. One time was hard enough to give me a concussion that lasted a couple weeks. And this is while wearing a protective hat (the shell insert you can put into a ball cap type hat).
4. Had either acid reflux or a small case of aspiration (inhaling a tiny bit of liquid) that left me with an irritated airway.
5. Grabbed something in my shed earlier today and felt a VERY painful sting/bite against my palm, enough to make my cry out in pain. Never saw what did it. May have been a splinter that stabbed into my hand, but it could've been an insect. No signs of infection or allergic reaction, but the pain lingered for several hours before I stuck a disinfected needle into the tiny red dot to open it up a tad and squeezed out a tiny pocket of blood/clear fluid that was in there. Dot gone now and pain mostly gone. Monitoring for any potential aftereffects.
This winter was just torture for me. I can't afford to miss work either since it takes six months before I am eligible for sick pay. That leaves me one more month to go before that happens. So until then, anytime I miss any work, it goes against my attendance. Ugh, this has just been a string of bad luck, some of it even being my own damn fault.
Anyway, thank you for letting me vent.
I AM creating some new stories at last, which has been a slow process. Once complete, I will NOT release them on FA because this website doesn't deserve my content. They'll be posted elsewhere, complete with links to them. Took me between two and three years to finally get my old storytelling groove back.

Who has an Itaku account?
Posted 8 months agoI've decided that if I'm finally gonna get back to posting again, it'll be on Itaku. deviantART is dead to me as an art website ever since it opened the floodgates for overwhelming amounts of AI art and I have too much bad blood with FurAffinity as a website and its admin team. I've tried to muster up the motivation to post again, but some wounds just run too deep.
So I've decided to run with Itaku as my preferred art website going forward. Actually, I've made this announcement on Itaku itself back in February earlier this year in fact. It may not see much traffic and I may not get much in the way of views, faves or comments. But it feels neutral to everyone and welcoming to me. I may post a journal here once in a blue moon at most, but if you want to see posting activity from me, Itaku is where you'll find it.
My account can be found here:
https://itaku.ee/profile/rinjipantera
https://itaku.ee/profile/rinjipantera
https://itaku.ee/profile/rinjipantera
Hope to get a handful of new watchers there to let me know that some of you also use that website. In any case, FA is too toxic for me and I'm done with it. I'll remain a lurker, but that's about it. I hope you all understand.

Some Life News Worth Sharing...
Posted 11 months agoAfter some searching for a higher paying job (the one I'm currently at just isn't paying well enough to keep up with the all the bills), a stroke of luck resulted in someone recommending to me a specific place that was hiring...and at a substantial amount of pay too. So I decided to check it out, apply, and to my surprise I got the job offer! It's a distribution center with me working as a picker while driving a forklift. I fully expect this to be challenging work, but I already know that my current position will be immediately filled once my two-weeks at my current job finishes. So basically, this is sink or swim. I HAVE to succeed in this new job. What's nice is it's only four days a week, albeit at 10 hours per day. So I'll never have to work more than two days at a time, which is awesome. Of course, I also need to keep my body in good working order, because I'm already battling a worn knee and a hearing disorder. This means wearing compression sleeves on my knees and specialized earplugs in my ears.
Anyway, wish me luck on this because I'm 46 now and I really need to pick a career and settle firmly into it until I retire in a little under 20 years from now. Gotta save up for retirement...after I pay off a lot of debt I'm currently under. DX

Pretty sure my life is halfway over
Posted a year agoToday is my 46th birthday. And with it comes sore knees, a hearing disorder, and financial strain. I'm a little sad because I haven't gotten a single birthday card in the mail as of yet. Though I can forgive my sister for this, because my family has always had a bad habit of being late sending birthday cards. For the record, my sister is the ONLY family I have left.
(my roommate) and I have become like brothers since he moved in with me. I love him as I would an actual brother because he has always been kind to me and I to him. We click more than most and are always supportive of each other when needed. We've occasionally had our "disagreements", but nothing we haven't smoothed out not long after.
Right now, my life has fallen a little out of focus somewhat. I'm looking for a different job with higher pay because my current job salary isn't keeping up well enough to pay all the bills. I'm slowly sliding deeper into debt as a result, and while I wish I didn't have to leave such a low(ish) stress job, I have no choice. I have an interview lined up for this Friday, so I'll see how that goes.
On a positive note, I've bought some neat new Loops earplugs that have three different decibel reduction settings. As soon as I tried these on and wore them to work, they made a huge difference in turning down the volume on the world around me, as someone suffering from hyperacusis. Thanks to Mimic for making me aware of these. Hopefully, with the ability to prevent future noice accidents, maybe my hyperacusis will go down along with my noise sensitivity. Here's hoping.
Anyway, that's really it for now. If anyone wants to reach out to me via note, I'm happy to engage! ^^

Update on my health
Posted a year agoRemember when I had said that I have tinnitus and have been living with it nonstop since 2012? Well unfortunately for me, now I have to contend with having hyperacusis as well. For those who don't know what that is, hyperacusis is a decreased tolerance to varying levels of sound, where sounds seem like they've been dialed up to 11 from their normal perceived levels. Each case is very unique to the individual. In my case, while I can still handle most typical noises from conversations to ambient background noise in public places, my tolerance threshold for such sounds has been greatly reduced to around 70 dB or so. Any louder and it begins to cause pain in my left inner ear. If it's especially loud and I don't see (or rather hear) it coming, I can end up in pain in my head that can linger for days before it subsides.
And the worst part is that I don't need a doctor to know exactly what is wrong with me. The auditory nerve in my inner ear has sustained some damage due to the sound energy levels of acute moments of loud noise...damage that sadly cannot be reversed or healed. My actual hearing is still relatively normal, but my sensitivity to sounds has increased a lot to the point where it causes pain. If you shout in my ear, it'll be complete agony for me for days (and I'll probably be punching that person in the face as well). The worst part is while the pain has so far subsided after some time has passed, there may come a point where the pain may never go away. I'm already living with tinnitus (ringing in my left ear). I'll be damned if I have to live with chronic inner ear pain as well.
My roommate has introduced me to these earplugs that have a dial that lets me control how many decibels I can block out. These would be perfect for when I work, when I can't predict when a loud sound might occur, while still allowing me to hear other people. They aren't cheap, but they are far cheaper than if I visited an ENT specialist and got a battery of tests to confirm what I already know. I'm already considering corticosteroids to help with the current pain I'm experiencing now since just over a day ago when some shopper bumped over a metal cover on a freezer than hit the floor with an extremely loud CLANG!! This happened at the back end of the store when I was at the front, but the noise was still loud enough to cause pain in my ear that's persisted up til now.
I'm really hoping that pain goes away so I can really appreciate these new earplugs I ordered. I also can't stress enough how important it is to safeguard your hearing. You may feel like you can rock out to music at max volume, but trust me when I say that that shit catches up with you and eventually, you'll regret it when you develop chronic tinnitus or worse, hearing loss. Hyperacusis is especially bad, due to the heightened sensitivity to everyday sounds...something that is supposed to be rare. But one thing they all have in common is that these conditions are cumulative. The components of your inner ear don't regenerate from sound damage. Once damage sets in, hearing disorders follow and they'll never fully go away ever again and will only get progressively worse the older you get.
I've already resigned myself to the likelihood that I'll probably go deaf in my left ear by the time I'm in my 60's. Just do yourself a favor and take good care of your hearing. It isn't worth it to subject yourself to loud sounds just because you can handle them without any problems. Trust me, your ears aren't invincible.

Update on my situation
Posted a year agoStill working at my current job. However, five months in, despite my best efforts to make it work, I can't sustain myself financially for the long term. I'm just not making enough compared to my last job. Granted, this one is much less stressful, but low stress alone isn't enough to pay the bills and save money for the bigger ones. So I'm planning on job hunting again and I already have one I probably should've taken when I had the chance, but I was already hired at the one I'm at now and didn't want to burn my bridges the way I did my previous job, by just quitting.
As a result, I haven't left town in almost a year now which royally sucks. I also don't buy commissions anymore because to me, those are luxuries I can't afford any longer, especially after the "incident". I've lost touch with what I once enjoyed while being on here. I'll spare you the dramatic details. Anyway, I'm trying to rekindle my lost story mojo, but it has been nearly impossible despite my best efforts.

Updated Picture Story Details
Posted 2 years agoBased on trial and error, I need to clarify some things.
- First off, these types of stories are not meant to be elaborate. These are meant to be something I can make in an hour or so. The idea is you link me a single picture and I use my own imagination to create a story around that picture. If it's based off a sequence, such as female muscle growth, the limit of sequential pictures I'll work with is seven or so. That's why my prices are the way they are. I work a full time job, so personal time is not something I have a lot of.
- If you want your own character to be used in place of another character shown in a picture you'd like me to do a story off of, that's all well and fine. Feel free to provide a reference pic and some basic details of that character, so I'll know what I'm working with. Please refrain from include a large backstory on said character though because again, these stories aren't intended to be elaborate.
- If there are any specific fetishes you'd like me to include, please mention them. If I can make it work based on the picture you show me, I'll let you know. I can't promise anything though.
- I'm afraid I must ask that you not ask for story pictures based on a linear timeline. The idea is me doing random stories based on random pics that you'd like me to make a story based off of.
- Even with a total work time of one or two hours, it may take me as much as days before I complete it. I would ask for your patience and understanding as I do work a full time job that takes up a lot of my time.
- Please refrain from asking me to go too far beyond the scope of the image you provide. If the picture includes a sex scene at night before two characters would go to bed, for example, please don't ask me to do scenes depicting the next day. These are "in-the-moment" stories.

Picture Story Commissions Updated
Posted 2 years agoSorry for the repost, but I needed to go back over this.
After working through the first two picture stories, I'm ready to do another two of them. This time, I have a more comprehensive terms of service to ensure everything is clear, regarding these stories.
What are picture story commissions?
Picture story commissions are essentially like speed art, intended to be quick and concise. You provide a picture you'd like me to craft a story around, I make a story based on that image.
Do I get a say in how the story plays out?
Yes, however…On the one hand, assuming it fits with the image shown, you can tell me what theme and/or kink you'd like depicted, such as female muscle growth. If it's your OC, you can also provide basic/key details about that character you wish for me to adhere to for accuracy's sake. I'll also do adult fetishes, provided they can fit in with the story based on the picture you provide.
Can I use more than one picture for a picture story?
Yes, you can. However, such additional pictures must be part of a linear sequence, such as a character undergrowing muscle growth or in the act of oviposition, for example. However, do keep in mind that the price may increase depending on the complexity of that sequence. Furthermore, please limit the number of pictures to seven. These stories are not intended to be very long or overly elaborate.
How long can I expect my story to be?
The length of the story depends on the picture or pictures provided. For a single picture, I try to wrap as much story as I can around that image. It can be three pages. It can be as many as seven. That's one of the key differences between picture stories and full-on story commissions. You'll always get my best with these, but there is no set story length. What's why I liken them to speed art. I promise it won't be just a handful of paragraphs. You'll always get something good and, again, the result of my best work.
How long will it take for you to finish my commission?
I haven't officially mentioned this, but I'm working full-time again. However, since these stories aren't meant to be long in the strict sense, you shouldn't have to wait longer than a week max. Realistically, I'd say between one and three days.
Will you use (insert kink) here, based on the picture I show you?
Rather than try and list everything I'm into and not into off the top of my head, I'll refer you instead to my F-List. It's intended to be for my avatar, but it's still a thorough list of MY preferences: https://www.f-list.net/c/rinji%20pantera/
If you're unsure if the picture you want me to depict is something I'll do, simply check the list for that kink or kinks.
I have a question regarding picture stories not mentioned here.
That's fine. Ask away in your note. I'd rather you ask than assume.
Now then, for the details.
PRICE:
- $25 per picture story based on a single picture.
- Between $30 and $50 for picture story sequences, depending on complexity. General limit is seven pictures, but I may do more depending on the sequence.
WHAT I WILL DO AND WILL NOT DO:
See my F-List for my full and comprehensive list of every possible theme or kink I'm willing or not willing to do.

Updated Life News
Posted 2 years agoI'm a week late mentioning this, but I've finally managed to get another job...and a management job at that. Upside is, the stress is definitely lower. It's a lower end management position, so I don't have to do as much all at once. The crew there is very supportive, understanding, and patient with me as I learn the ropes. It's full time right up to 40 hours every week, so the pay is good for what it is. However, there are a couple downsides. The pay isn't as good as my last job, which was a bit of a tough pill to swallow. However, at the time, I was starting to feel desperation after going a solid two months without success getting hired anywhere else. To say I was ecstatic, upon handing the application to the store manager and her immediately showing me around the place and saying I was hired, is something of an understatement. The other small issue is I have to close with mostly teenagers, so I find myself having to babysit them and make sure they do their work. I've had my trainer warn me that you pretty much have to work around them in order to keep them in line. I'm not too keen on having to do babysitting duties on top of my own. I guess I'll see how it goes.
What kinda sucks is, now that I AM working again, NOW I start getting calls for interviews at other places I had previously applied for. One of them was for an initially part-time position for an overnight stocking job, but at a higher pay than my last job. And once it were to hit full-time, I'd be making more than my last job by a noticeable margin. But I find myself in a dilemma because I don't want to hurt my already stained reputation by just leaving the job I already took. I'd feel like I'd be stabbing them in the back after all the time they put into training me so thoroughly. I talked to a couple of my close friends to get their opinions on the matter and they say that the lower stress is ultimately better for me and that the pay isn't everything. I ultimately turned down the overnight stocker position and decided to remain where I'm at. Really hoping this works out for me.

I Wish to Try Something - Experimental Story Commissions
Posted 2 years agoUPDATE!! - I'm still new at this, so this has been a learning experience for me. To ensure transparency, I ask that for any picture story you commission me for...particularly if it features your own character, you provide me with any specific details for that character you wish for me to abide by to ensure I don't misrepresent said character. Otherwise, I'll be making the story based on what I see in the picture or picture sequence while using my imagination to fill in any blanks and provide some possible backstory to it. I'm willing to make minor edits to a story, after it's complete. But once I reach that point, I will not go back and rewrite the entire thing. It's tricky to provide a preview of a story, since there's no "sketch phase" like there is with art. I can write a small portion of the story, but it would still be incomplete until it's done. I'm still trying to work this out, so I hope you'll be understand throughout this process. Thank you!
As of this journal, I'm still unfortunately out of a job. I need to make some kind of income, so I thought I'd try something that should work pretty well for me and deliver a good story experience for you at a reasonable price. Basically, these are picture-based stories. You would choose any picture you'd like and I would craft a story around that pic. I can even do one based off a sequence of pictures, such as a muscle growth sequence. Now, mind you, I would still reserve the right to decline a certain picture, if I can't think of a good narrative to accompany it or if the content shown doesn't jive with me. But anyone who knows me, knows what I'm generally into, so that should help.
To give you an example of what you'd be receiving, please check out this story I did recently based off a muscle growth sequence: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53835073/
As far as story length goes, I'll try to make it at least five pages long. However, it all depends on the amount of complexity I can churn out based off the picture(s) you link me to. If more than one picture, they MUST be part of a sequence of sorts, not different pictures entirely. So while most authors would charge according to word count or story length, mine will be a flat rate where you will always get my best effort put into it rather than artificial padding just to achieve a certain story length. I believe it would be better this way, since you will indeed get my very best put into the entire story from start to finish.
The commission rate will be $25 based off a single picture and an additional $5 to $10 if based off a sequence of pictures, depending on how many and the complexity. Once I quote you the price, and you agree to it, I will begin work on it at my earliest opportunity. Keep in mind, though, that I'm still job hunting so I must keep making time for that as well. If this works out, I may be able to open more slots per round in the future. For now, I'm going to start with two slots.
If interested, please note me with the picture you want the story based off of. Even if it's a picture of a muscular character posing, I'm usually able to create a narrative around it. Action-based pictures will be easier for me and pictures with detailed descriptions of what's happened will help even more.
Payment will be made through Paypal, so make sure to include your Paypal email address so I can send you an invoice, once the commission is agreed upon.

Breaking Life News Update
Posted 2 years agoAfter two grueling months of searching, applying, a couple failed interviews and a couple rejection emails, I finally got a job...well, interview. But reading between the lines, it was essentially an offer for an overnight position doing nothing but stocking. And I'm fine with that. The starting pay is, at minimum, about the same as my salary was when I left my previous job. So that's great news in terms of getting back on track, financially. Only drawback is it starts me out part-time at first, so I'll still have to be frugal on spending until I move up to full time. It's an overnight shift, so being the night owl that I am, it works out great! This whole thing kind of caught me off guard because of the time I got the text message, being after 11:30PM. And having unwittingly gotten used to being unemployed and thus not working, it's a bit of a jolt to the system to finally get a solid interview for a likely job offer.
Anyway, I've rambled enough about it. I'm just excited!
