So, I've held this account for ages upon ages. I came up with this account name when I was but a wee little kitten, nearly a decade ago at this point. It was a simpler time, when I was a little too much into Japanese culture and what have you. It served me well for some time.
It's also damned embarrassing to say out loud.
My recent trip to Rainfurrest has not only rekindled my interest in the community, but has prompted me to basically stage up a new entrance on the scene. Exact same character, which has always been pretty much me with more hair, just with a new name.
For those that want to follow me, for the VERY rare occasions I actually get new art, or just as a way to contact me, hit me up at
flip-flop. I'll be populating it with my old commissions, and a few new pony pieces!

Been seeing a good number of "gonna start posting at another site" journals. Various reasons, won't discredit any of them, it's their call and that's just fine and dandy. Some folks just wanna disconnect themselves from this site entirely, and that's their call too, but this isn't about them. This is about the folks that continue to keep a presence here, but just up and delete their old works, possibly saying that they may repost them later.
Scraps. Little tab on your page. You probably don't have anything in there. Why don't you try shifting that stuff over there?
I mean, it's kind of the point of that particular tab. Scraps can't be reached by standard browsing (not sure about search, but when has that ever worked on here?), posts to it only show up on your watchers' feeds, and most importantly, they're nowhere to be found in your regular gallery, front page, anything. Click on the image you don't want to look at anymore, click Change Info, and under Submission Category, click the Put In Scraps box. UPDATE AND DONE.
Look, I get it if you really don't like a piece anymore, and don't want it to represent you and your art. That's fine, I've nixed a couple things over the years myself. The folks I'm addressing here are the ones that are all like "WELL MY GALLERY'S A LITTLE CLUTTERED TIME TO DELETE EVERYTHING". Art, especially in a public venue, is just as much yours as it is everyone else's. Be a little considerate, please.

I'm doing pretty well these days. Have several job prospects and interviews, will soon be rid of a pretty horrible roommate, and I'm now dating / mates with / whatever you wanna call it with lowlysquid, the most amazing girl in the world. Seriously, get jealous, she's THAT awesome.
Oh, and just so I'm not confused on it, getting a watch notification that says "removed by user" means you're unwatched by someone, right? If that is indeed the case, then I GOT MY FIRST UNWATCH! I'm popular enough to not be liked by someone yaaaaaaaaaay~

Time out and about with the bee man
Posted 14 years agoLooks like these outings with cylindricalperv are becoming a regular thing. Fine by me, he's a fine gent.
Went out today with no particular plan, except for a trip to WinCo to obtain manna from the gods, a.k.a. Clodhoppers. Introduced him to yonder store last time, and guess it's gonna be a regular stop. I'm okay with this. On the way there, we discussed the merits of ponies, as mature men are wont to do. Of particular interest was the contents of GeneralIvan's new video (this one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0x9DFzIwXtA), which prompted us to make loud, shouty, gloriously stupid takes on nearly every other character on the show. Must've been friendship, cause shit was MAGIC.
We come to yonder shoppe, obtain the Clodhoppers of lore (as well as some other snack things, some not as grand as others), run into an old classmate of's, then go on our way. As we shuffle through the spoils in the car, a rather large female passes by. It's obvious the man is ogling her. I proceed to make fun of him. He punches me. Great times had by all.
More pony chat, a poke at the mall for iTunes bucks, tofu and not very good coconut drink, then a drop off at home. Good day, I feel.

Posted 14 years agoHey kids, long see no time. Remember when I said I'd be doing that whole bead sprite thing and it turned out to be a total lie? Well it's a lie no longer! If you gander over into my gallery, you'll see a certain pony. She's happy to be there, and may have problems standing after a while. Not because of her apparent drinking problem, but because she's nearly two dimensional.
Oh yeah and I'm open for commissions now. Hit me up ladies!
On a note that'll bring both of these together, if I were to make up some sort of workable template for ponies a little smaller than this one (Thinking like 50 x 50, this gal's 60 x 60 or so), would anyone be interested in custom ponysona sprites? Be mindful, at that size, all details aren't guaranteed, but I'd do my best to 8 bit them. I'm thinking unicorns, earth ponies and pegasi, MAYBE doing little fillies if there's demand.
Oh yeah and I'm open for commissions now. Hit me up ladies!

Honestly, I'm pretty stoked over this. This solves a few problems with the online aspect of the fandom, namely with two sites. It'll trim down a touch of traffic on this site, as all y'all will have a place where you can have your side conversations in a place that makes sense for said purpose, instead of in comments for submissions that have next to nothing to do with said submission. IIt'll also trim down on a certain site I use, pounced.org, so it can be used for it's intended purpose, that being dating and related connections, instead of being gummed up frightfully with NOT LOOKING TO DATE ON A DATING SITE THANK YOU and whatnot.
Looks pretty well designed, too. Friend me, bitches.
