Ugh,.....Covid again?!
Posted a year agoLong story short- went to the mountains in Colorado with my gf, and on the way back, we were stuck in the airport for 12+ HOURS.
Because our stupid flight kept getting delayed!
So I guess it shouldn't surprise me entirely, that I have come down with Covid again. I mean, I had it back in October, so I REALLY was not hoping to get it this soon again. I'm both surprised and not surprised at the same time, I was hoping the throat scratchiness and slight cough were simply readjusting to the environment at home.
But since my dad has a major hip surgery tomorrow, I didn't want to risk going out of the room without a mask if I was sick, so I took a covid test, and it was a dead ringer.
Last time I got Covid, i got it BAD.
Really hoping it's not as hellish as last time...
Nonetheless, thought that I would make this known since there is still stuff I owe! Please be patient with me during the next week or so of recovery </3
It really breaks my heart to get this right at the beginning of the month, on the 8th my love and I were going to go to a water lantern festival....but looks like that's sadly out of he cards now.
That being said, STAY SAFE LOVES! Covid comes around even in the warmer months unfortunately.

Progress and Adopts! (includes tldr)
Posted a year agoHello everyone! Sorry for the bit of radio silence, this month has been rough...however, progress has been being made on commissions owed! I will be sending out WIPs very soon! I will also be getting to messages I have missed in the past couple days shortly!
Part of the issue this month is that my blood sugar has been dropping excessively and often, getting as low as 28, which is apparently a quite dangerous number. I was diagnosed with Reactive Hypoglycemia when I was 14, so I'm not a stranger to sugar lows, but these ones have been occurring at very odd times and it drops very dramatically, ranging from 28-40 usually, and it's pretty debilitating while it's happening when it gets so low. It's honestly kinda scary.....I know it's not diabetes, because I have literally never had a high blood sugar or spikes like that, I am almost sure it's the pure Hypoglycemia....I called the nurse and they wanted me to come in tomorrow, but I have another appointment tomorrow so the next closest time I can get in with them is on next Thursday- I'm sure I'll be okay, but it is stressful and exhausting.
In my spare time, I have been working on adopts here and there in between commission work and have some that I will be posting! Some of them I actually finished awhile back and have just been sitting there, so it's their time to shine lol!
I'm unfortunately quite low on money at the moment- I would absolutely LOVE if y'all would take a look at the new adopts I'm posting! These first ones are going to be relatively cheaper prices than usual, so don't miss out!
(TLDR; I have been sick with horrid sugar lows and hypoglycemia, which has made me exhausted as of late, so I apologize for the slowness. I am going to be posting some adopts that I have had sitting around and ones that I have worked on sporadically in between commission work. These first few adopts will be a tiny bit cheaper than usual~)

Update on Everything (Includes tldr version)~
Posted a year agoHey everyone! It's weird seeing that my last posts were a couple months ago in terms of adopts and journals, as I've been trying to keep up on here with notes the best that I can- anyone who hasn't gotten a response to something, you will be seeing one soon!
(TLDR is at the end of the journal if you're not up to reading a novel!)
So, let me get to the important info first.
Commissions, and what I'm doing about it.
I owe several of you some art, which I promise is COMING!
This month is going to be dedicated to finishing commissions (as in march throughout april)- I'm making it a stern GOAL to have almost everyone's comms and customs done by Mid to Late April.
My motivation has sucked recently, as I'm sure you've realized. I have started working harder on commissions however, and am making fair progress! I'm planning to step things up in the next several days though so I can really work through this next month and hopefully get most of my queue cleared.
I'm doing several at once, as my mind tends to work best when I switch between things I've found. There are several that are close to completion; and unfortunately, others that have not had as much work done on them because when transferring some of my Queue over to a different document a bit late last year, in HOPES to actually make things more cohesive for me to work on...it seems there were 1 or 2 that got lost in transit, which I am truly sorry about to those of you this happened to- I promise I am doing my best to work on it now, and you should be seeing new WIPs soon!
I also really REALLY think I am going to go back to making a physical journal/planner queue in addition to - I feel like it helps me keep up a little better!! I'll be keeping an eye out for a new one.
That being said, I NEED money right now, so in between I will be making some adopts. Please don't fret, this is stuff being done in between working on commissions and other things- again, I tend to work in a bit of a scattered way with doing multiple things at once, so often while I'm working on your comms, I will also be working on some adopts.
I really hope y'all will like them! I've had some kind of stashed away that are almost or basically finished that I had been working on late last year and ended up abandoning due to lack of motivation.
TW: mentions of death
Now, WHY I've had such EXTRA low motivation the past couple months.
I feel like many of you have a general idea of what's going on, my mental health hasn't been at its best in quite a long time. I have spiraled into an even deeper depression after experiencing the death of my cat late December, and I am just...
Bad at grieving. It seems to never end. I think about her, her last moments, what she went through, how much I miss her....it haunts me and still will cry about it daily if I dare think about it. Hell, I haven't even been back to my own house in almost 3 months because I've been avoiding it because I know I'll think about how empty the room will feel without her there....but I am going back likely today or tonight, so. I do miss my house, my girlfriend's place is fine, especially since our friends live here as well. But both me and my partner miss my house lol....less issues there foundation wise.
And now, to top things off, our dog/my dad's dog is dying. He doesn't have a lot of time left it seems with the symptoms he's presenting...he is old, so it's not like it doesn't make sense. The vet said he doesn't need to be put down just yet if the medication they gave him helps control his seizures that he has been getting, which thankfully it has been. He has heart failure on top of all of that though, so there's probably extremely little time...another reason to get back to my house.
Even though he's not "my" dog, he has been in my life since I was 15 years old. He has always been a little sweetheart, an anxious timid boy with literal ocd, but we have always done our best to make sure he's comfortable and feels safe.
So yeah, that does hit quite a bit considering this is the second death of an animal around me in the past 3 months.....I just know when it actually happens it's going to compound everything. I really do dread it.
Other than that, mental health has been kinda the same crappy cycle with mood swings and horrible anxiety and whatnot.
I do want to make something clear though- I AM NOT TELLING YOU ABOUT MY MENTAL HEALTH AND LIFE ISSUES AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT GET THINGS DONE FASTER/COMMUNICATE BETTER/ETC.
I'm well aware that there are people who try to use mental health as a scapegoat to cheat their way out of something, but that is not the case here, nor is it the case with most people. I ACKNOWLEDGE that the information I'm giving you is a REASON, but not an EXCUSE. Giving someone a reason as to why something is happening isn't immediately someone's "get out of jail free card"- I know as good as anyone that mental health does not excuse your actions or absolve you of consequences.
I state this plainly because I've been noticing some rather ableist behavior from people on an off the site (mostly on other sites but thought I'd mention it here) demonizing others for mental health issues and life struggles who legitimately are just going through a rough time. You can hold someone accountable and still be a kind person.
Believe me, I've been hittin' myself constantly for not being more on top of things.
But I am really trying to do better and make some concrete goals for this coming month. Another goal of mine is to get in touch with a therapist- I've found an organization that connects you to potential therapists and I'm going to give that a try very soon.

My top priority is working on commissions right now, and getting out some adopts because I am in desperate need of some money, so I will be posting adopts in between.
My motivation has been severely low because of a huge pit of depression that has hit me after my cat died...and now have the near death of a dog I've lived with since I was 15 looming over my head, and I don't grieve very well so things have just gotten terrible.
Brief mentioning of how I explain my mental health issues to offer a reason for my actions/inactions, not to give an excuse. I am going to be working really hard throughout now and April and hope to have most commissions finished by mid to late April.
I'll keep updated more often, much love to you all! I will be getting to notes shortly! 💙

Apologies For Absence! (Update)

I wanted to apologize for the absence and the slowness of getting back to notes and such- I promise I'm not ignoring you!
The past several days, my internet has been out constantly- it has moments where it is a long period of time and times where it is just little blips and it goes out for a few minutes...annoying nonetheless though.
The cause is the VERY high winds we are experiencing here, it's messing with the communication towers.
The internet is slowly getting better it seems as the wind dies down some, but I am unsure as to whether or not it will pick up again.
On top of that, although a bit off topic, I am.... extremely depressed. The loss of my cat has hit me hard and I don't know how to cope...I'm a little bit afraid of hurting myself honestly. I'm trying my best though...
Anyways, I thought I'd let you all know what's going on!
If i've read your messages but haven't responded, I will get back to you as soon as possible!! It's a little complicated to write messages back and then for the internet to go out right after I've sent it.

The Worst Has Happened....(Update/Heartbreak)
Posted a year agoI can't type much of this in detail right now as my soul hurts badly and was a knife to the heart.
I can only say this for now (I'll explain what happened a little more later), but mine and my fiancees' cat passed away......
All I can say is, I will work as well as I can. This is an extremely difficult time for me, especially after being in not a good place mentally already...this is extremely difficult for me to process.
I'm so sorry this happened, I hate creating even further delays...
I will still work my hardest though.

Reindeer Fawn Banbaro Adopt!!!

Just wanted to remind everyone that I have TONS of adopts for sale, including ones that are marked off at very cheap clearance prices!
I'm in Europe right now with my soul sister @whitesnowpaw, and I could really use the money- Euros are worth a tad more than USD, so when I will be getting things for christmas at the winter markets, food, etc, it can rack up and I only have so much from disability!
I'm here for nearly a month so I really don't want to get too low!

I'm sure most of you know who my sis is! But going to finally go see my sister whitesnowpaw in Austria after several years! It's been too long and I'm SO excited.
However, I am in dire need of some money- I have some, but much has gone to essentials i'll need for the trip and medical bills (Got slammed with a doozy medical bill today ugh)
On top of that, I bought a new Apple Pencil because my other one is breaking and I have no idea when it's going to poop out on me, so I wanted to have another one in case that happens.
........Well, it appears to be defective. I think I know what the problem is (and it is unfortunately not one that is fixable), but I'll take it to a repair place just in case. And even more unfortunately, there is no warranty or returns on it. So I'm basically shit out of luck and will probably have to buy another one and hope the same problem doesn't happen. (I'll explain in the comments)

Good News! [Update]
Posted 2 years agoGood news everyone- my Paypal account has been restored.
I'm honestly shocked that it was reinstated so smoothly and quickly. I messaged them via twitter first (that seemed the easiest way to actually talk to a real person) and explained the entire situation and how misunderstandings were involved, along with my disabilities.
I have only ever heard horror stories from people who had their accounts permanently limited, where they either had to fight tooth and nail to get their paypal back, or that they never did end up getting it back at all.
I am very thankful that the Paypal staff and Execs were understanding of my situation, words can't describe how happy I am! Granted, I still need to save up more money, but going from $0 back to getting my $300 is such a blessing.
With that said, in a little while, I will delete my previous journal since it is no longer relevant and I don't want to worry more people if they don't end up seeing this journal!
Thank you SO much to everyone who was willing to support me in these rough times, I can't even begin to tell you how much that means to me.
I will be making more adopts very soon- might also have a special sale coming up, so keep an eye out! ;)

Update: I Have Covid....
Posted 2 years agoHey everyone- not a lot to add other than that I ended up getting the Covid the rest of my family had. :"C
It's been awful so far, hence the absence the last few days.
I don't feel much better, but I was at the very least able to sleep for basically 48 hours, so I suppose it makes sense my body wants to be awake for a little while now, however long that might last!
I'm weak, coughing, sore throat, full of mucus and congestion, etc...and also, strange side effect that I didn't know could happen- jumpstarted period bleeding for me. I only had my last one a little over a week and a half ago so I definitely wasn't due, and the timing was a bit too coincidental- sure enough, turns out it can be a side effect of Covid. Very odd, but add that as another shitty thing I have to deal with during this.
Anyhow- although I'm not feeling well, I'm going to try to work on some adopts in that time, as I really need the money right now unfortunately. I will be working on comms here and there as well, but I would like to resume them fully once I'm feeling a bit better, as I don't want things to look sloppy by accident because I'm sick!
I will make more updates as I get better so as to keep you all in the loop!

I apologize for not making a more formal type of update journal to inform everyone what is going on currently- appointments, having to get knee injections (SUPER painful and can't walk well now for a week or 2), and just generally exhausting stuff.
