I know I don't have many watchers, but I wanted to help get the word out, and I hope you guys can help out, if only a little.

Hey guys, my regular commissions are on hold until November so I can finish up my list of stuff for Oklacon.

If you'd like to find me at Oklacon I'll be spending most of my time in the artists alley and the kitchen, so come check out either place, though there's going to be some awesome panels this year, so I'll probably be running around quite a bit!

Also going to try to make some premade MLP Badge Buddies for sale at the con, and I'll probably be taking commissions for finger puppets and sketches and things at the convention itself. Someday I hope to get to a point where I can be fast enough to offer custom badge buddies on site, but that's a little ways away. Might make felt badges though, they take slightly less time. We'll see.

Okay, I'm thinking about changing my prices for the next round of commissions, since I've gotten a lot better since I first started making the badge buddies especially.

I'm curious as to what people think would be a reasonable price for these? I'm not trying to make a living off of these, I make them more for fun than for anything else, and I'd rather make more for slightly less money than a few for more.

So my question is, for people who have gotten something from me, and the people who would like to, what is a reasonable price to charge for the things I make?

Also, how much should I charge for making the same thing as a convention? I won't be able to make a lot of things just because of the time required, but I intend to make some common species and ponies and things to take with me to Oklacon, as well as make some small felt badges at the con itself. Perhaps just one sided face or bust felt badges. How much should I charge for something like that?

Part of me feels bad for charging as little as I do right now. There's alot of competition for the commissioner dollars on FA right now, and I'd like to keep busy without putting other people out of work, especially those that are trying to make a living with art. The only thing that makes me relax a bit is knowing that I'm not making something that other people are also trying to sell. I like carving out my own little niche in the furry marketplace.

So any and all opinions are greatly appreciated, from previous commissioners, would-be commissioners, and fellow artists alike.

Just to give everybody plenty of notice, I will be opening some commission slots next Wednesday, probably between 1-2pm CST (12-1pm Server Time).

So, my friend- the amazing and hilarious  lamasu Lamasu is in a rut.
Her funding was denied, and therefore is left a little penniless.

As you know, Lammy is a PHD in Neurosciences, specializing in TBI and Autism and rehab intervention. Her second passion is classic alchemy from the Jungian perspective [Medieval European]. She has given lectures, as well as collected gregarious amounts of data into the subject- and is aiming to publish a translation of some old scripture and text using the analysis. Her fellow academics have recognized her FOR this passion, and have invited her to lecture and pass courses in Universities on the subject.

TL;DR version: She knows her shit.

So take a look at the examples of her work, and consider helping her out. She will give you a write up of the Jungian Alchemic explanation, and can incorporate specific attributes you request into the badges.
And it's super cheap too, because if I were her, I'd be charging DOUBLE for this kind of work!

Just about over my sickness now. I think it might have been strep or something, but everytime I decided I'd go ahead and get a doctor's appointment, I would start to feel better. Silly illness.

Sorry I haven't opened for commissions yet, but I have the mother of all con crud, and I'm still trying to work on things, it's just going really slow.

Had a good time, there was some drama, but nothing I couldn't handle. Best parts were the Oklacon Room party, the Fat Party, and the Adult art panel. Also got to meet a couple artists that I've been admiring their art for a while. Made a puppet for  Mitti and gave it to her at the con and she loved it <3, and picked up a copy of Peachy Keen, which is great, I recommend it to everyone.

Also got to meet  Bravo He is an awesome guy, and draws some of my favorite chubbies. Trying to get him to come to Oklacon.

And I got alot of attention for my puppets and badge buddies. <3 Totally gonna keep making these for a long time.

I'm not going to take any more commissions until after Furry Fiesta. I've got plenty to keep me busy until then. :P

Personality - Quiet and reserved. Thick headed and stubborn, but kind and has a mind for mechanics. Also has to the power of empathy, can read emotions from others.

As I'm pretty involved with Oklacon and the theme this year is going to be It Came From Planet X revolving around monsters and aliens I'm looking for some ideas for some theme related puppets to make for fun and possibly con promotions.

I'm thinking a series of furry monster mashups. Here are the ideas I have so far.

Werewolf obviously
Fox vampire
Domestic cat mummy
Dragon zombie

I'd like to throw in an alien and swamp monster in too, but I'd like to see if you guys have any ideas for fun furry classic movie monster combinations.
