Well. I have said it before in rl but now .. *sighs* I feel i might as well do it. I won't go into details or comments but I need to do it i suppose...

I plan in the near future to begin putting up a large amount of my random... stuff I have gained over the years up for grabs and sale. I have many things from all over the place like old TMNT toys, and random plushies (somehow found a mini teddy ruxpin in my basement *shrugs*) and a decent level of my warhammer 40k collection, and a bunch of comics and manga i have.

before I put it up online on kajiji or something wanted to know if any of you would be interested in it, or want to take it off my paws to help me with putting more money away. I'm not asking for donations or anything, as nice as those are :P no I just wanting to sell alot of my stuff and free up some room. if i get enough interest either by leaving me a message here or sending me a note I'll make a journal in the near future of all the stuff I plan to throw up for grabs. I won't leave pictures as there is no point here on SL to fill my gallery with it, but if you tell me your interested and send me an e-mail I'll send you a picture of the items in question.

Well as you all know I've been working on my Alpha Legion using the new 40K starter box I have been doing quite well and pumping out models i'm very proud of so far from the kit with the chosen but now I like to lay it on you guys to give me a vote of what would you like to see next!

the choices are pretty easy there are 4 options so please select one and tell me here in this journal post *points at it* your options are!

1. The Hellbrute (a big angry Biomechincal(sp) killing machine that used to be a space marine Dreadnought!

in a couple of days I'll add up the total see which has the most votes and get right to hammering out that Model if I can get my paws on it in a short period of time. ie if its a forgeworld model its gonna take much longer before i can start because i sadly have to wait a week before i even get the model due to international shipping.

Yes its the 22nd of august and this chakat is once again one year older, though i don't fully know if i can say one year wiser :P but such is life.

so yay woot for me *happy dance* as stated before i plan to go see the Jubilitations dinner theatre lady later today and pick up my ticket for the saturday showing as my birthday 'event'. I know i'll be on my own for this one but meh! i just hope that when they pick someone from the crowd to have amoment in the play I'll get picked :3 i'll be so happy if that happens. either way on saturday I'll have my camera with me and after the play I'll be sure to get a pic of me with the actors hopefully and post it up!

yup its that time of the year again my birthday rolls up again *nods* shall be interesting, sadly though everyone i know seems to be ... busy as can be but hey *shrugs* its not like life revolves around me :P *laughs* i would have to be a rock or movie star to believe that. *rolls hir eyes*

i plan to go to the jubiliations dinner theatre, a nice place for a bite to eat and a laugh on this saturday coming up. its a few days late for my birthday but such is life the gang at the theatre have said they will still give me birthday rate even if sadly i'm going pretty much alone... *shrugs* This play that is coming up that i will be heading to is called Ghost Busted! as you can imagine its a parody on the ghostbusters Movies and i plan to dig out my "who ya gonna call" t-shirt just for the event as they said its ok for me go not in full on formal wear :P so i'm taking advantage of it and getting my nerd on a little *laughs*

last time i went to the plays i got to hang out with a guy who did one of the "dr. horrible sing-a-long blog things in my home city out of the Grant Macwen(sp) university. now i don't know if his the big big famous one who did it but he did tell me doing that launched his acting and comedy career so i still wish him luck but anyway.

yes so aug 22 :3 please said me b-day wishes if you can! i sadly work that day but they gave me thrusday off to try and make up for it ... yay bing drinking my problems away!

Well as the first part of my post tells ya its getting closer to my birthday once more. Aug 22 is apparently less then 2 weeks away and hey should be interesting getting that gift of one free trip around the sun again *laughs* love all of ya who are close to me *hugs and kisses you all* and thank you everyone for watching me and checking out my art and giving favs and all. :3

As for the Disney ref, something odd happened to me a little while ago and... well it was confusing but at the same time made me wonder, has anything like this happened to any of you *points to all hir watchers* so please tell me if you have a story like this or hey just tell me what you think.

anyway, as most of us furries know we grew up on Disney classics like Robin Hood, and Bambi and all those movies and a little while ago something that made me think of Bambi happened... odd i know. but this is how it went. I was walking back to the bus stop i need after work to head home and on the way there i passed by the parking lot of another warehouse up from mine. while following around the fence next to the lot I noticed the oddest thing, sitting on the fence were 2 Magpies, a Crow, and a Robin all sitting on the same part of the fence, and each of them looked like they were looking between each other ... and a Jack rabbit that was sitting on the ground in front of them looking up at them.

Now, not only was this odd speaking i would have expected the magpies and crow hunting the other two, but they all just sat there calm and fine and each one of this group turned their heads to look straight at me and watch me walk by. no joke here, they didn't fly away, they didn't run they all just seemed to stop what they were doing and watch me slip on by before after i was a set distance away turn and once more look back at each other like returning to a converation I wasn't suppose to hear. Was by far the weirdest thing of the local wildlife around my work has done before, and after seeing it all I could think to myself was... hmmm, Wonder if Walt was onto something with that Bambi movie. I took one last look over my shoulder as i crossed in front of a building and wouldn't see em anymore and they were still there same as when i first saw em...

again as i said was very odd but I like to know your guys opinion, and even hear any stories if something odd like that has ever happened to you.

P.s. earlier this week saved a Bunny Kit from a crow that was rolling em around literally head over tail rolling him... i walked up within 2 feet of the crow who looked up at me before i say "scram ya bastard' and then he flew off. felt pretty good for myself more so when iknow the kit managed to find a good hiding spot where the crow couldn't get em after... though I do wonder, did the Mum come back for the kit, she was there when i first came over... i don't know though if he did in the end all i know is there was no stains from bunny kit homoicide when i came back to work later so i hope he got away.

Well i've been trying to keep up with Olympics lately as hard as it is for me being that i tend to work when just about all the programs are running about it. but i do try to keep in touch every once and while, recently I got to see the medal count for how we are doing while i hung out with some friends had a burger and watched a round.

Now, i understand we aren't doing the best, i mean we're somewhere in the 20s for position in the medal count while the US, China, and Great Britian lead the race. But you know, while I was watching that event... I didn't care. I didn't care that we only have 1 gold, I didn't care that most of our medals are Bronze. what I cared about is that our atheles are there, our atheles are trying, I'm proud to hear that we got a medal sure, no matter what is it.

say I'm lying, say what you will, but you know... I'm proud of our guys no matter how it turns out, and in the long run as it was back when the winter games were held here in canada I will always cheer on our boys and girls in far away lands giving there all.

I don't know if any of em come to FA, see all we do, but if they do, or even if they don't. I still say to them, keep on trucking all you team canada guys and gals :) I'm as proud now 10 days in as i was when it started.

Yes as the title says my primary laptop at the moment as of 9 am friday suffered a truely odd end. all my broswers suddenly died, my msn joined soon after and lastly every icon flickered white and black as well as the screen before i got like a hundred yellow warning boxes and a couple of reds then ka poot it went under. :P

I imagine I know the reason, I'm pretty sure I know the reason, and all but still, wasn't really expecting it but hey such is life and all. good thing after i got back from AC i bought this new one *laughs* yay saved by gaming lappy! muahahahaha. but i'll be serious, this one is as i have said to others bought for the intent of gaming... not social media. as such I will be getting a new one to replace the 18.4 inch hammer that my old one has become.

I will still be posting every once and a while up here but don't expect to catch me on MSN or YIM or Second life or whatever i may visit until my replacement is up and rolling. there is a nice one on sale right now at a local computer shop that is perfect and is on sale for 315 bucks much smaller then 18.4 but hey this one I'm on right now is my republic of gamers laptop :P so it can have the big cool screen and awesome gaming ability :3

I figure I should inform you all, so if you wish to talk and catch me until my new one goes up send me a message here. *holds paw out at fa* on fa, send me a note, send me a message to something I've posted. its easier, I sadly understand and accept there is many pictures and stuff I most likely won't be getting back from my original but hey its had a life span of 7 years before finally kicking the bucket I'll accept my loses.

*paces from side to side tail flicking like mad* d... damn damn damn damn!!! ... i just vent all my stress at AC and now its back with a vengeance... just found out... today. that one of my families sets of keys to the house ... the one I'm kinda renting a room from have been stolen because of one of them 'forgot' the keys ... outside... while over the weekend.

ya this is great.. i just get home i vent my stress i get home i buy a brand new laptop to make my day to replace the old one i got all this fun... a... and then.. and THEN! today... 4 days after it happens and 3 after i get home... I then get told about this. that and as well that supposedly the damn guy who might have the keys has already come to the house to check it out. apparently some middle eastern man came up to the door while no one was here banging on the door depending to see someone to sign us into a contract with the Edmonton Journal newspaper... as far as i remember the Edmonton journal never does contracts!

*keeps pacing as shi flicks hir tail eye twitching more* i h... had plans all this week... go to vets night play games see friends vent!!! before work *shakes hir fists* n... now... THIS!

*walks into a sound proof room and releases a stream of cursing so bad it might make Denis Leary(sp) Blush*

Well as you know I have returned from AC it was alot of fun and really quite enjoyable. didn't have to many problems just a moment of drama I had to help deal with between an artist and a commissioner but I'm gonna leave it at that and not go into details. those who were there and know me, know what happened thats all that matters.

over all i came down with quite a bit in my pocket and came back home with... quite a bit in my pocket. though a smaller number obiviously then i went down on. I believe this year the reason for that was not easily finding artists to do what I wanted. as normally by the time I found them and got to em they were full, or didn't have time in the first place as many artists appeared to suffer all the same idea... try to accept more sketch books and such then they knew they should have and spent nearly the whole con working on them all. and there was a few artists who i asked to do one character an they turned it down as they didn't like doing him i guess. *shrugs* oh well such is live another time we shall see.

anyway as it was, the plane trip home was good I got to run into some local furs up here in edmonton and they pretty much were on the same flights the whole way so we hung out and had airport con the whole way back home.

well I got to run for a while but I will be uploading the pictures of arts i got from AC when i return so long everyone and be safe!

p.s. also on the note, while i think of it. I wanted to mention that the Chakat Nom and Yap at the con was a pretty good success. we had a total of 21 people come to the event where we all had some drinks got some nice food. I felt mine was really good but anyway, and over all had a blast. :) AND on a bonus note it appeared that we left Tonic on a good note so there is a chance that next year we can get the same event to happen there unless people give me some ideas for other locations at which time i'll put up a vote.

Well ladies and gentlefluffies, as you can imagine I am here in pittsburgh right now. i arrived yesterday around 6 pm but have been quite busy. I have talked to the people at Tonic and the event is still listed and ready to go. so yay! thank you all for signing up we are still ready for 16 people. so i do hope you can all make it.

If you see me this year I'm wearing my chibi con badge. and i'm hanging out a great deal with my roommate  chakat_blacktail while we browse around and see all the friends we both know. so keep an eye out for us! *gives you all a hug*

Well as some of you may know we now have tables signed off and reserved for us for 9pm on saturday. which i'm quite glad to hear so *cheers to us* we have a whopping 16 chairs lined up for our 'little group"

now there is something that needs to be mentioned. there has been a request from Tonic itself. to have a group such as ours all together means they are requesting we have all the bills put up on one big tab. not separate for everyone as such it will be asked to PLEASE BRING CASH. that way we can all just toss in together and get it easily done.

Yes i figure with having less then 2 weeks left before I fly south and see you all fluffies I better put this up again! *nods* for all those who ... somehow don't know I am working on hosting a Chakat's and Friends meet up this year!. so if you are a chakat, friend of a chakat, curious about chakats, or just want to hang out with us and see our 'crazy ways' come on by and visit!

now as it was with the MFF meeting I still need to make a list of all those who wish to come so i can at least get an idea when i go talk to the ladies in charge of events at the restaurant. This years Nom and Yap will hopefully *crosses fingers* be hosted at the ever wonderful Tonic Bar and Gill right across the street from the main hotel! the prices are not to over the top about 13 bucks for a burger and fries meal like most sit down restaurants I've come across over the years so make sure you all got some moolah for foods!

there will multiple posters I will have up around the con to help people. 1 will be at Windshear's table, one will be on me, one will be on the post it note board in the main hotel and lastly if i'm lucky and i beg alot *gives kitten eyes* I'll try to get one at Goldfur's table AND convince the god-mother of us all to come and join us.

Now as for details of when, I will be looking into hosting the Meet up on Saturday June 16th. now to make sure we can get alot of us hopefully *crosses fingers* I'll be having this event start AFTER the Dealers Den closes. which for the last few years of me going always seems to be at 6, as such I plan to have the meet up in the main lobby of the hotel between 6 and 6:30 pm. the official time will be posted with the posters at the respected locations after I talk with the ladies in charge of group events at Tonic. I would prefer to get everyone together hopefully at 8:30 pm and be at the restaurant for at the latest 9:00.

As I have stated before this is NOT a chakat's only event. just chakat's Themed. now everyone who is interested so i can get names and a number of people base so far please send me a message either here in this journal or to my Notes so I may add your name to the list so far.

I suppose this is a bit late but I've been busy working and all in rl after the con ended Sunday. now as you should all know over the Weekend I spent from Friday to Sunday at Fur-eh 2012 up here in Edmonton, my home city up here in Canada. as some of you may know more then others I have had many a sleepless night getting ready for this even due to my need to get everything i needed ready for! *holds up a copy of D&D 4th edition*

I had plans to do a couple of dungeon dives and see how things work and if i would have a successful group. getting everything ready as a bit of a pain as things started to fall apart last moment but i managed to do it without looking to much like a doop and forgetting everything... just 1 character and a butt load of dice which i have to say my thanks to Duke Skunk for getting me all the dice i needed.

but anyway that's off to the side. will get back to that. anyway total con goer numbers reached a total of 198 attendees which was just over 4 times the number that was originally thought to be going. when everything was first being put together only 45 were expected but ya we did amazing and even had some coming in as far away as Winnipeg, now I don't know if any Statesmen flew up to join our merry old event but hey still we did very well.

All in all the hotel seemed to only really have had 3 problems that I heard about, which all things considered is rather remarkable compare to other horror stories I've heard of first time cons. apparently there were Noise complaints from a room party mixed ith the dance room it seems, as well as it appears the Hotel found outside alcohol. now speaking that the event itself including the dance had an alcohol bar seemed odd but eh it was mentioned. though the last 'incident' was very politely dealt with by the hotel staff when a couple of drunks wandered in and asked if they could join in the 'party' going on with all the interesting people. first they tried to ask me before hotel staff said to talk to them so they asked them and in which case the staff said 'no get out this is a private function' and escorted off the lot. thankfully nothing to major happened in that.

back to events well for the most part I was slipping back and forth between dealers den, game room and food area the whole con. sounds odd i know but with my backpack of stuff for D&D and ref for pics being in one room seemed the best. though when I arrived at 8 in the morning on Friday and after regging then heading to said room i instantly noticed that with my friend Duke being the only man more or less in charge unless getting traded out once and a while to do his own thing seemed to me like he could use a. some company and b. some help. so i told duke if needed me to watch stuff or help i was gonna be there anyway might as well give a hand where i could. which is why i stayed so much in the game room.

As for the D&D game i was expecting me to host it very late in the night be it the con book said that open table top gaming was to start at a frighteningly late 1 am till 4. worrying about getting any players that night I was actually pleasantly surprised that while i had the books out and was talking about when to host the game i had furs coming up and asking when i was gonna host. after a bit of talking we got the game going roughly about 7 pm and it lasted until midnight *laughs* took some work to help the players go in the right direction but you know i was just happy they were enjoying themselves which as DM is always my biggest fear! in the end I asked if the players wish to have a food break they all agreed but in the end all thought the game was over and went home or to the rooms or etc. I didn't get the game back up and running again due to time, seclude and missing in action players or they had joined the Ironclaw group who looked like they were having a blast too but oh well. on a sillier note I did get asked by one lady named Momma Cat from the con badge if I would be willing to be a babysitter for a bunch of high school kids and host games for em. I snickered and said whats the pay rate look and how big of a group. her son joined in the laugh before telling me he was gonna pick up the basic 4th edition set so he can get into reading it and all himself. I wished him luck, felt the best.

as for picking up things. well the 4 pieces of art that i did get through commissions i have posted up, as it was there was only 1 i didn't scan that was a conbadge i got from Cherushi. a friend showed up midway through gaming and i was hoping to pay for him to stay or he could so he could enjoy the con meet furs and get a feel for the crowd as he is a hard core anime fan and thought he would have fun. instead stuff came up and he had to run but before he did he left this big old case from work of munchies and chips for the gaming room fluffies and i managed to save a bag and sneak it off to Cherushi because she was telling me earlier she wanted something. in exchange for the chips she swiped one of my pics of my fursona and made me up a cute conbadge that I've been thinking over putting up.

I poked my head in once and a while to see how the dance was doing also had my share of naughty hard drinks... i mean alcohol what can i say when I'm stressed and i see Smirnoff flavored Vodka ... MINE! :P mine mine mine *holds case to hirself* I would have wished for the blackberry flavor but hey Raspberry and sour apple kept me happy. :3

oh and I also got to bring in and try a new product at the con which seemed to get good reviews so far from the community. When i first showed up i heard there was little to no FreBreeze(sp). Knowing that my family namely Mother was working on trying to get a new all pro biotic cleaner to the community to try on cleaning fur suits I asked  Silverhuskywolf the creator of www.Furrhappens.ca who was also in charge of the Headless lounge as well as the other con chairs if it would be alright to try the product Chrisal out for Fur-eh. it seemed to do well as I know 4 bottles were brought with 2 sprize bottles and when the con was over only 1 came back and both of the extra bottles i had on Sunday got sold pretty quickly. one to  Temperance and one to Nighthawk i believe was the name..> @.@ i should remember but sadly it kinda escapes me right now... anyway I still look forward to hearing back all the details but from what i heard it was good reviews and nothing bad so yay! *cheers* :)

Aye as the title says the con is still doing wonderful and going strong! muahahah we are at the end of day two and still was alot of fun i go to meet alot of people see lots of old friends who have gone though alot of changes since i saw em last. and I even hosted a game of D&D and asked if i be an official babysitter DM for a D&D group *laughs* never been asked to do that but then again its me babysitting for teenagers but oh well! *shrugs*

I also got to see some new artists as well as artists i've had watched for so long and just... never got to meet until this con so *shrugs* not complaining at all!

as you can tell i'm still a bit excited and enjoying my time. it has been a wonderful con so far and really nothing to crazy has happened apart from some nasty drunks being told to leave because they weren't aloud in the con :P but oh well apart from that its the first no problem con i've been. i maybe jinxing it but we shall see. *nods* and i am proud to say that the GOH dinner was pretty much sold out so that should help alot :)

Well ladies and Gentlefurries, I don't know how many of you know but tomorrow is the first day of the first fur con in my home city. I'm all signed up and pretty much all ready to go. I got today as my last day of work before getting a 3 day weekend to check out the con.

Now *holds out a finger* even though i will be going doesn't mean I won't be online to all you silly fluffies out there. the con is about 5 to 10 minutes from my house so each day I'll be coming home and logging back on and doing my visits if I'm not completely exhausted.

This should be a lot of fun I'm signed up as a Super Sponsor so i get a lot of cool bonus stuff! *laughs* anyway wish me luck and I'll tell all ya about it when i get back! *mews and runs off to work before doing the last of what shi needs to get ready for conning!*

hehehe well now that is over *adjusts hir shirt and nods* as the title says there is an update in that i no officially have my plane ticket *shows it off* and will be going. *nods* bought it earlier today so yahoo expect to see me down in the Pittsburgh area for da big con.

as stated before in one of my comments I will be staying at the Double tree with  Chakat_Blacktail for the course of the con landing on weds at about 6:20 pm. after i get settled in with my stuff in place i figure I'll mosey over to the main con hotel and see who i can run into and say hellos with etc etc.


now one or two of you have been informed but this year at Anthrocon i plan to once more host an unofficial Chakats meet and greets with food! *muahahahahs* I am planning to try to have it held on the Saturday in the Afternoon AFTER the dealers den will close. this way if we're lucky more chakats namely Dealers can come down visit and join in the fun.

The resturant I have planned for this even is the Tonic Bar and Grill if its still open by the time we get to AC that is across the street from the main hotel. when i arrive weds i will be looking into getting more details namely food prices... as we all know furries at a furcon means money disappears quickly :P more so in the dealers den. but I am willing to listen to suggestions of where people would like to sit down visit and have foods. now as for the name of the event I did some talking and its gonna be called 'Nom and Yaps" as we talk alot and eat more :P

the picture will most likely be Chibi versions of us for the reasons of making it humorous to look at and easily recognizable. the added bonus to it all is! at the con the winner will be given a physical copy of the picture as well as after the con a digital copy for posting up here on FA will also be given after the con. *thumbs up*

I have recently come across lately a new variant of the Heroclix table top miniature game by the name of Star Trek Tactics. you play heroclix as it is but with all the star ships. so far it only has 1 set out with only 2 factions they are the Federation and the Klingon Empire. Despite only being released in feb and I have collected a fair sized fleet for both factions out so far but I am curious if anyone else on FA of my friends has found and looked into this game.

so far I have found it most enjoyable and have found some friends in my gaming group who enjoy the game (those of whom watch me know who you are :P )). I will admit jumping into the game seems to take even me alittle while to learn but each game gives me more ideas and tactics with each of the figures I have already collected.

Now for the main reason why i was asking. as I am curious also on 2 other questions apart from if anyone else has found this game.

1. if the chance came up that i could bring my Figures with me to Anthrocon 2012. be it only 1 fleet or both, would people be interested in trying it out if need be using my figures for games in the Zoo or something, or would you like to play actual games with your own host of star ships duking it out.

2. I am also looking into the idea of maybe wishing to try and trade some of my ships so i could have more variety and hopefully fill out my collection as it seems this game is massively popular here in my home city and literally every place I have gone too run out of stock of them faster then candy in a sweet shop after a starving fat kid walks in. but thats another story.

so for those who are curious as I imagine some of you may and all. i shall leave a list of all the ships I own so far and put a number of how many for those who maybe interested in a trade. obviously if i only have 1 of a Ship i will warn you i will be less likely to want to give em up because how am i to know when i get a replacement. anyway, onto the list.

I am sorry i didn't put this up sooner but, i recieved approval recently from my boss at work that the 2 weeks off I wanted so i could go to Anthrocon is approved. so sometime in the near future I will be going to the airport with a bunch of money and buying my plan ticket to fly south in June. *thumbs up* booyah more info coming when i get my plane ticket!

I know this is early.. and all but I just got some news from my boss... it appears i'm not aloud to try and set up for a room until AFTER my holidays get filled out... which sadly won't happen until Feb 28th... <.< long after the day opens for getting a room. so i'm sending out this call early.

I'm looking for someone willing to room with da chakitty in the main hotel. i just like to go to AC again and as i missed it last year i like to try for this year. sadly with how things are I have a limited time for me to leave this open... so i can only leave this request open until next weekend...

i admit i like to go to the con early... sometimes early as Monday but i can change my feelings on that. just looking for someone who maybe interested. please let me know as soon as possible.

Yes tis true, I'm back in my home and native land *winks at anyone who gets the ref* i enjoyed a wonderful 8 day vacation in the US and now glad to be home and relaxing until i return to the ugly ugly world of work next week. *blaghs*

over all the con was a blast but dear lord i spent like NOTHING! seriously... i feel so weird going to a con with a burning pocket... and finding myself getting very few actually commissions of things i like... *wiggles my nose*

but hey in the end i did get some amazing works of art and a few surprises which are con badge gifts to me which always make the con better.

lastly the only real down side i had of the whole con was i had one comment thrown my way that was... offensive and rude and i never expected it. i was heading off to get some pictures and food because of the con parade but planned to return to this one artist for a commission when suddenly he blasts out this... this ... rude comment that just made me say "ya um... no not coming back" and i walked away as fast as i could so apart from being shocked and appalled i just. didn't want to be near the guy..

for those who wish to ask no i will not say what the comment was here on FA. i refuse to simply put, you will need to find and talk to me on msn or such to know what happened, the same thing goes for the artist. he knows who he is but i'll least not mention his name... only because it makes me feel ... vile just thinking of it right now.

well got a heart attack this morning as of 20 minutes ago, something happen in the Hotel that the 'holy crap' fire alarm went off. loud painful blaring and yelling at us that "an Emergancy has been stated in the building please evacutate the building" and it kept repeating and repeating.

as you can imagine wake up call... I's have it >,< now i can't sleep again! this was completely weird but the part that was weirder was that myself and one other while half asleep was thinking we could hear the damn fire alarm like 4 levels below us, and it sounded like it was slowly was coming up and my present room is on the top freaking level! one of my Roomies is wondering if the place is on fire.... wouldn't you prefer to have the alarm start on the top of the building...

bah anyway apart from the scare that i no longer have... anything its all good now! *thumbs up*
