Wanted to give a quick update, as many of you might've heard  DracoE.McCaulley recently moved in with me and Ren, so we've been getting him settled and moving all his stuff for the past few days. On top of that we've had a road trip planned that'll take us up to PA for a Ren Faire, visiting a few people, and seeing my folks along the way. That's to say I'm not going to be able to do any YCH's or drawing at all while I'm gone. So now that I've got a good chunk of commissions done, and I'm back down to single digits in the queue, I wanna take a couple sequence comms. It's a mix of a few things;

1) I could use some extra money
2) I've been in the mood for a good sequence
3) I want to use them to experiment with my style a bit. I REALLY like how the shading and color in the Rauru pic turned out, and I've felt my style's stagnated for awhile, and the super blended shading just isn't working for me anymore. I haven't felt like I could switch things up because commissioners expect and paid for a certain look, but this could be where I can try that semi-cell shaded look without feeling guilty
4) I want to try doing some different scenarios than I have before! There are things I like (situationally) like Species TF, pred-to-prey or vice versa (both with the wg/mg element), brutification, etc-

So I just wanna open that up and try it out, and just try to get out of the feeling like I've been in an art rut. I'm finishing up the last pics for Patreon today, but I think tomorrow I'll open up a form and pick one or two sequences to do. They'll be at the same price as sequences were on my commission sheet, nothing changed there. I think I'll limit it to 3-5 parts, but if anyone's interested keep an eye out for that form tomorrow. ^^

Yeah so as many of you know, Hurricane Ian is going to wreck thing here in Florida. Ren and I are safe, we're not very worried and we've got all our stuff safe and our kits prepared and such. And while we're not worried about loosing power for too long, if at all, because of the prep we've been doing and the possibility power and internet might be out, a lot of stuff likely won't be posted at our usual time: Patreon rewards most likely will be a bit late, but we have been working on them between prep. I've also been working on my YCH's and commissions, and should hopefully have a batch of those ready soon.

That said I also want to apologize to those who have been waiting on things from me for several (several...) months now, specifically my main commissioners. Frankly I shot myself in the foot a bit with YCH's, putting them on a time crunch when Patreon is ALSO on a time crunch, leaving very little time between. That said what time I do have has been to get that queue down, even if it's going at a snail's pace. In honesty with everything going on I've been feeling a bit burnt out, not cripplingly so because I've detached myself from art enough that I can muscle through even if I'm not 100% there, but that's not really fair to you guys. I think what I just want to say here is I'm trying, despite it all, and I'm eternally grateful for the patience. I'm still aiming to get things mostly cleared out by year's end, then take a break to reassess my workload while doing some personal projects I'm excited for (like say a muscle growth/brute-y comic cough cough more on that another time). I won't be this irresponsible forever, I'm just irresponsible and struggling at the moment, so whether it be because past-Stag is too shortsighted or by a force of nature barreling toward us at a staggering 10mph, I am still thinking about you all.

Bit of a life update since it's been awhile, but I wanted to just start off by giving credit to all of you for supporting me and providing the means for me to keep doing what I love, even in these tough times. This year's been tough with how my work's piled up, but y'all have stood by me through it and I seriously can't say thank you enough. This month I'll be crunching to get everything done, I have a family trip at the end of the month, just heading to Gatlinburg for a few days with my brothers and parents since we haven't been in years. But that means I'm *hoping* to get all July's Patreon stuff as well as a good chunk of commissions done by the 22nd, so keep an eye out and wish me luck!

On that note though, I also wanted to talk about some changes I've been working toward. Y'all know as much as I like drawing, design and fashion are my true passions. After I got my diploma and finished up the semester in Italy, I was kind of burned out on it. But after a few year's of freelance, I've been making a real effort to rebuild my portfolio, and it seems like I have a real shot at my dream job! Through the wonders of the internet, I've been able to have some real talks with designers from one of my childhood pillars (hint; Lots of pink), and they think I'd be a great fit. Obviously this is a big step and one I need to work a long time on, at least 3 or 4 years, but once I get this job I'll likely cut down on furry stuff. Not completely, I definitely still want to do Patreon, but it'll certainly be the end of my freelance era.

But yes! I just wanted to say things have been looking up on my end. It's important to step back and appreciate the good things in your life, and it's really thanks to you guys I have so much good going on. I've started to get the commissions in line, going to spend some time with my family back home and enjoy a few days in Dollywood, and I'm on the way to the job of my dreams, and it's thanks to each and every one of you.

Now that it's quieted down and I'm not typing nonstop responding to people, I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who showed interest in my first multislot YCH's earlier today! I was actually afraid for weeks they'd sit there untouched for weeks and it'd be a struggle, but everyone blew my expectations out of the water, and for a hot minute it was a bit overwhelming. I actually had to add a few slots for those whose messages I missed while switching between FA and Twitter, they were just coming that fast. I'm really excited to do more of these in the future, and to those who missed it I'm already considering doing a second run of these in the future (when I'm not so busy), so keep an eye out!

I posted this on Twitter, but realized I never said anything here on FA so here's an update: Although I've been making good progress, because my queue is still so long I'm not going to take any commissions until it's completely clear. Instead, to make ends meet, I'll be doing a monthly Multislot YCH to cover my bills!

YCH's, I think, will be a lot easier to manage since the base is done already, and I can offer more or less slots depending on how my workload is. I'll also make them cheaper than my usual commission prices since the labor that goes into them is spread around, probably $100 a slot. For June I'll have two, one for fat and one for muscle: The fat fur YCH is of a big guy ordering at a fast food place with his gut spilling over the counter, and the muscle YCH is of a big guy crammed on a subway/bus to the delight/annoyance of his fellow passengers. Each YCH will be of the same quality as a simple BG pic from me, fully colored and shaded, and subject to the same do's/don'ts and rules of my other comms/YCH's.

I'm excited to see how these are received, and I'm hopeful this will help me get my workload under control so I can go back to regular comms for all those waiting!

It's about time for an update on things, commission wise, so here's the rundown:

-I will be taking a break from new commissions in May to get some real progress on clearing my queue. Plan is to get a good chunk of comms done before I take slots for April, but that'll be the last time I take new work until June. Hopefully a full month gives me time to make a real dent in these, but either way it means April will be the last chance to get something from me for awhile. This won't affect Patreon, so work there will continue as usual.

-I have a big YCH on the way! This was voted for on Twitter, but I've got another big 5-part weight gain sequence YCH in the pipeline, and I'm hoping it'll be up before the month's over. Theme is RPG/Fantasy adventure WG, and it'll have a second character for anyone looking to play the part of a final boss dragon.

-Sometime in the future, I'll be changing how I take commissions. I'd like to make this change once I have my queue clear, but in the future I think I'll switch to a Commission Form and pick the ideas I like best. This is not because I dislike any of the commissions in my queue, but more because I'm a bit bored and I'd like to be able to pick ideas that are more unique to me than the same poses and situations I keep getting asked to do. Besides forms, I'd also like to get away from taking cash upfront. I know I only do it because of bills and such close to the first of every month, but with Patreon doing so well I think I can afford to move to taking payment only after the sketch/colors are done.

That's about it! Not much else to report on my end since it's been all work, and I never know how to finish these things off, so I guess I'll just say Thank You to everyone who's been supporting my freelancing!
