Welp, tomorrow's my b-day

Just giving ya'll a heads up that I'm probably gonna be inactive most of the day cause my mom's talking me to an art museum in New Orleans as a treat. It's only about 40 minutes away from home so it's not terribly far and it means I won't be gone alllll of tomorrow, but at least not until late tomorrow afternoon 'w'

Like holy shit August crept up so fast?????¿ Yeaterday it felt like friggin June. :'T
WELP guess that means I better kick things into gear.
In terms of life, things miiiiight get a bit more hectic around here. Stuff's certainly calmed down since my last "big dramatic sad™" journal and I'm feeling a lot more upbeat and positive, buuuut with me heading to college September 1st to move into my dorm, I'm gonna be busy busy busy. Also my birthday's the 18th so that's a thing I suppose *throws confetti*
In terms of art, for commissions I likely won't get EVERYTHING done before September 1st, but I'll try my hardest and I WILL have my PC and tablet up there and a friend who's my roommate and is a furry himself so he's chill with what I draw. That being said I'm sure my first time at college is gonna be a hectic one so things may slow down- I'll keep you guys updated. Other then that I think this month's gonna either be hella awesome and productive or a bit stressful. Guess we'll have to see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My Mom today: "Oh hey by the way I planned a vacation for us next week we're leaving tomorrow morning"

Posted 8 years agoWith that last bit of gift art I recently uploaded, I can fully say my art drive is back in full force and I'm ready to resume work on comms. Thanks everyone for being patient, I really appreciate it. ;v; I just needed some time to think about stuff and work on things I wanted to work on, and now I can say I'm ready to continue commissions!
Why my art drive's been so low lately (lowkey drama warning)

Lately, my art drive hasn't been doing the best. June was a royal clusterfuck of a month: my grandma had an aneurysm and she's still recovering, I had to drive out to dog-sit for her poodle for two weeks while she was in the hospital only for the dog to die of bloat and she still doesn't know, there was an accident in my house where a bathroom sink overflowed upstairs and caused part of the ceiling downstairs to crack and partially cave in, I've been stressing over getting shit set up and prepared for college, my mom's nagging the fuck out of me to get a summer job despite me telling her art's pulling in enough money (she doesn't care really about the money despite what she says, she just wants me to "socialize" and not be "some lazy loser that sits in his room all day doing nothing" as she likes to put it), and everyone and their mother seems to be wanting to talk to me and socialize and it's really wearing my already low energy down even thinner.
I'm tired, I'm stressed, and I just really really want some peace and quiet for once and only talk to a few people that I have energy for, play some video games that I want to relax with, and draw at a pace that I'm comfortable with. I know I have quite a lot of artwork to get done but with the current state of life right now, my energy to get stuff done just isn't there and work's going to be really slow to produce until things get better. I'll keep you guys updated if things get better, but I just wanted to let you know that uploads are gonna be slow for a good reason and that I might be quiet on here a bit more then usual.
