Just thought I would give you guys some update for those who may have been missing me. The career is going well, actually just secured a position that is just short of fulltime which is awesome. But my rotation is really silly so it gives me lots of time off which is, good? I guess? Haha I am trying to MAKE myself do art coming up here. >:( MAN I SUK.
Umm I have a super bad cold right now, complete with nasty mucus coming up from my lungs. Which is a real bummer, let me tell you. I am forced to return to work tomorrow because I'm to friggen awkward to get a Doctor's note. So I'll power through one day so I can show my boss I am worth something!

On the homefront, Boyfriend and I are doing well, still haven't found a house sadly. Still living apart as well. My Parents never ended up moving, and it will stay that way as far as I am aware, but who knows what the future brings. Hmmmm....I dunno. Lots of Family drama I won't delve into too much detail here but it's been really stressful trying to keep everyone happy and everything together as well as do my job and all that @_@

I am but a tiny 23 year old! Please world, gimme a break!

Oh my gooosssshhhh... my life has been so crazy lately.. My parents told me recently that they're selling the house, and since they're downsizing they can't afford to take me and the cats with them, even though I pay them rent because the rental market is waaaaaay too crazy right now and nobody wants to allow pets in the city I live in. So I am in the process of working my absolute butt off so I can save enough downpayment to buy a house with my boyfriend. I've been desperately wanting to work on art but I've been soooo exhausted and mentally drained I just can't seem to start.

In other news, I've started on a new anti-anxiety medication, so I feel MUCH MUCH more balanced and able to cope better with life. Only without so much obsessive behaviours and self-loathing. Which is extremely good!! I am feeling like I can make some really positive changes in my life now.

Thanks to whoever reads this, and checks on me once in a while, I hope I can provide more entertainment in the future.. (despite how many times I've mentioned this before...)

I can't figure out how to submit drawings from the iPhone without the orientation of the picture showing up sideways!!! Does anyone know how to fix this?? :( I just want to upload some pics of my work for you guys!

So I've been drawing regularly.. But a lot of my stuff is either practising or just doodles or paintings that I don't necessarily plan on finishing. But I'm wondering, would you guys prefer to see me upload regularly even if it's just doodles and stuff? Or practice pieces? None of them are particularly much to look at but I thought I would ask anyway.

OHHHHH GOSH. It feels so good to be doing art everyday!!! Even if it is only practicing. I'm feeling so excited about art again, and I can't wait to show you guys what I am actually capable of! I truly am far better than my portfolio shows, it will just take a bit of getting comfortable again!

I decided to do this thing as kind of a venting/ perspective journal... as well as maybe giving you a guys a bit more info about me! Maybe I'll do a Q&A later if anyone is interested. :)


1. Was 2013 a good year for you? Why?
As far as years go, it might have been the hardest I've had so far in terms of family life and friendships and even trying to become more independent as a person.. But overall I have realized that no matter how bad things get, I have a wonderful man by my side to wipe away the tears, and an amazing Mother and Father to catch me when I fall. <3

2. What was your favourite moment of the year?
Honestly I can't think of one particular moment that was the best... But sitting down with the boy and watching movies together are honestly my favourite moments.


3. What was your least favourite moment of the year?
Uh..well. Without going into a ton of detail, my mental break down in about March/April and the resulting shitstorm that followed was pretty fucking bad tbh.

4. Where were you when 2013 began?
I was actually laying on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Oh my goodness...Missing the warm breeze and the smell of the beach already.

5. Who were you with?
Most of my family were there, my cousin was getting married! It was a wonderful experience.

6. Where will you be when 2013 ends?
(lol I am late!) Right here, trying to keep myself together for another week, then I'll know where I stand with home life and stuff.

7. Who will you be with when 2013 ends?
I am a much stronger me. I didn't realize just how emotionally and physically resilient I can be when it's needed. And how forgiving I am when it matters.

8. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions of 2013?
I don't think I made any...? I don't remember! Haha!

9. Do you have New Year's Resolution(s) for 2014?
Honestly, I would like to be more physically strong so when stress gets overwhelming it doesn't affect me quite as much. Practice art, reach a comfortable routine with myself so I can accomplish my goals without so much struggle! I want to be able to buy a car in October as well. Maybe if this art thing goes well, I will be able to pay for my driving lessons! Oh and most important of all, raise my damn art prices a bit...

10. Did you fall in love in 2013?
I fall in love every year with the same man. I am so blessed to have his strong self by my side.

Um well, his name is Phillip!

Oh I hope so!

Every day I wake up I tell him so.

Being in love? Never. I regret my failures in the relationship more than anything else.

Nope!

I made a few, I strengthened the bond between my few best friends and I've never been happier.

Oh gosh...

Hmmm. August was my birthday, which was pretty balls to the wall awesome. But honestly November/December ended up being really good.

If you count last New Years, yes.

Ummm...2? Alberta and B.C.

21. Did you lose anybody close to you in 2013?
Actually this may sound silly buy my Boyfriend's kitty cat passed away this year, and she was so weak before that we would sit with her on a blanket, and we'd pet her slowly as she struggled to breathe.. ;_; I remember looking at her laying there as she tried to rest herself and she looked me right in the eyes and reached for my hand. I cried so much when they took her into the vet. She's in an urn now, so we can say hi to her every morning.

22. Did you miss anybody in the past year?
My parents. We live together but on opposite schedules so it's not unusual for me not to see them until I have a day off.
23. What was your favourite movie that you saw in 2013?
Ummmm................The Hobbit was freaking awesome. I adore fantasy movies so I'll have to think on it more and come back!

Currently...It's actually a mix...does that count? It's 'summer chords electro house mix' by Mr.suicidesheep. Look that shit up on YT. It will make you dance for forever.

Record? Lol Um. I don't have a record player anymore but probably something Phil's Dad plays. He has good taste I'm just terrible with names. (It's probably ELO or Pink Floyd or someshit idfk)

None! I haven't gone to a concert in forever because despite being 22 I am like a granny. Loud music and crowds irritate me. lol

Nope

I actually discovered what my limit was.

A small amount. I'm not into it at all.

Plenty of stuff. Thankfully nothing life-altering.

It may have been when my Boyfriend told me that he wouldn't leave me no matter what happened. Despite me being a total wreck at the time and taking my anger out on him. He still holds me and tries to cheer me up when I have to stop what I'm doing and have a cry. He's so kind.

33. What was the worst lie someone told you in 2013?
I had to look my parents in the eye and pretend everything was fine and pretend I didn't know why my Sister wasn't talking to us.

34. Did you treat somebody badly in 2013?
I may have...I never do anything without a reason though.

My Sister. I have come to terms with the fact that we won't ever have a relationship. I'm okay with it. :) Less stress.

Ooh lord. I don't want to know.

37. What was your proudest moment of 2013?
I managed to save up 4000 dollars all on my own! And until recently I was managing my ADD so well that I didn't have any issues remembering stuff or doing my work.

Oh I dunno...I must have blocked it out haha

39. If you could go back in time to any moment of 2013 and change something, what would it be?
I would say I wouldn't reach out to my sister but it wouldn't have changed anything really. Tell myself to spend less impulsively! >_<

40. What are your plans for 2014?
Go back to school maybe, or get a full-time position! And spend time with one of my oldest friends in May! :D
I will save up for a car and downpayment too. Or maybe vacation! :)

Seriously I hate having ADD. I can't focus on a single thing for ONE DAMN SECOND. And I forget stuff all the time... such as a commission in my parent's car. I'll be mailing it tomorrow, it's in the envelope I just have to take it to the post office to be weighed because I don't mail things often and i'm not sure how many stamps I need.

EVERY goal I make seems to take 300 times longer than normal because I can't focus! grr!

Hello everyone, oh my gosh, I'm back. Thankfully my problems were solved as I was able to move back in with my parents, after a long and arduous battle with them about my kittens. We are reaching a really nice flow together, and as upset I am about all of the setbacks I've had, I'm happy to be in a more stable home with much less worry and anxiety.

Personally, I am working on bettering my physical and emotional state, as well as unpacking all of my pesky art supplies, to deliver what is owed. I feel like a really pathetic broken record. But I am just glad I know such kind and compassionate people who have really seriously supported me and helped me through all of my depression.

And Mythic! Oh my gosh for one of my first commissioners I couldn't have asked for anyone more kind and patient. holy crap. U da best. <3

To my very patient and amazing commissioners,

I thank you so much, I have messaged everyone about this but I feel like my situation merits a bit of explanation.

For the past 6 months or so I've been on the edge of an emotional breakdown because of my current living situation being so far from what is good for myself and my mental state, which is no real fault to anyone, it's just the way it is. My anxiety is through the roof daily, so much that I'll think about something slightly worrying and my heart will try to pound its way out of my chest, and I'll feel like sobbing. This is so far removed from my normal state I feel like it's time for me to focus on myself and really find the cause of all of this. I found out very recently that my landlord is closing my lease in October and although I was looking for a place for a while the importance of me actually FINDING a place I can afford for me and my kittens is finally setting in.

As anyone knows, being this way constantly is not good for your artistic motivation at all. I've been so stagnant on that front that I'm embarrassed. I apologize for all of this run around, and disappointment, I am totally on the same page as you. I am disappointed in myself most of all for not being able to get through this like I normally do. I am usually able to push past this and keep my head up but I've been on 4 hr sleeps a night for the past couple of weeks and it's really bearing down hard on me.

Sorry for all of this whining, I really appreciate the support I have had despite all of this.

I climbed a mountain today with my parents. Oh my god... I'm proud of myself but soooo tired!!! And it was hailing and raining the whole way down. Lol

So much stupid stuff has been happening in my life right now ugh.

I mean, in my personal life it has been good.. My boyfriend and I are going to be buying a house next year as long as I can save my half of the downpayment!

I discovered that I really like MLP:FIM. It's actually quite an entertaining show... now I am inspired by adorable ponies...

I was inking  MythicFables's commission and I didn't realize I was inking directly on the lineart layer. My lines are two different colors now...and I have to erase all the mess by hand as opposed to just deleting the sketch layer... WWEEHHHH.

I've been so busy with work lately I haven't really had the energy to draw... :'(

But currently I'm working on a piece for  MythicFables so I'm hoping to get it finished today!

Does anybody have some tuts for painting in Paint Tool Sai? I'm having a hard time getting my color pics to come out the way I would like... I love  spazzyhusky's coloring style...it's incredibly smooth and gorgeous! I just can't seem to pull off a similar technique. Haha :) Any help would be appreciated!
