RIP Kia, the happiest, most positive dog I'll ever know.
Posted 16 years agoFrom what I've been told. My Late uncle, whom worked in construction, stole Kia from an abusive home up in Portland, OR while working on a project there. She was in pretty bad shape, and my uncle's sweet heart brought her in even though he wasn't very able to take care of himself.
Though Kia wasn't being beaten, she was fed fast food resulting in her gaining a lot of weight. His wife, my aunt, died from OD, and we took him and Kia in during these hard times.
It wasn't until then that I actually knew he even had a dog. She was in bad shape. It was obvious her lifespan was going to be short. But the first out-most quality I could see in her was how friendly and loving she was. After learning of her past, I was astonished at her spirits. She was always so energetic and positive even though should could barely lift herself.
Time went on, and my uncle died of a heart attack. From that point on, Kia was ours, and we had already accepted her into our family. At this time, she was already hit badly with arthritis. After long visits to the vet, it was decided to just ride her out on pain pills and the like to keep her happy because the extensive work to try and revive her back legs and the weight problem would probably be too hard on her in the end.
It had gotten to that point. She no longer would even perk her ears up or wag her tail. If she had to go, she would just pee where she lay, and sometimes would shake profusely until the meds kicked in. We had a vet come out, and have her sleep peacefully. Not in pain anymore. She's now in our backyard giving the remnants of her loving heart to the earth. I will miss her.

Slap Him!
Posted 17 years agoIf you're a fan of Guy Ritchie's films, go see Rock N' Rolla. It does not disappoint.
My only beef with it was that the beginning was super awesome, but then the first half of the movie was borderline too slow. At least that's what my first impression was. Maybe it's just one of those things where it grows on you over time, idk. Either way I loved it. <33
I don't really have anything furry art done lately, but I guess I could post some of my school work here. If anyone has time to seriously critique my project I'm working on, I'd greatly appreciate it. IM/Note/E-mail me if you're interested. The product is a 30 second animation in which we create every asset to. The concept art, story, camera work, 3d modeling, animation; everything. I'll hopefully be posting drawings of it too for review.

RainFurrest and Art Track 2008!
Posted 17 years agoThat's right, I'm going/doing an art track! Please come show up Saturday from 2pm-3pm.
There will be a live demo so you can see everything in action, and I'll be explaining it as I go. I'll also be doing a quick briefing on good sketching habits.
Here's the copy/paste description about the lecture:
Values with Veg: Digital Shading Techniques
A live demo on values/shading on figures through digital media.
Learn some basics about value and color. As well as some techniques on applying values via Adobe Photoshop.
Anyone is welcome to bring their own laptop or sketchbook and copy down notes, practice or ask for advice.

Ruled by Time
Posted 18 years agoGuess I should update. :>
Been very drained lately. Lots of homework, and other things (like my car not running). Car will be in the shop tomorrow, so I'm not too worried. Though, I do have a mid term in one class tomorrow, so I'll have to work something out with my professor.
Well, I got a snake this weekend~ <3 He's super cute and adorable! I still need to name him though. I haven't come up with anything good yet. Gotta take a picture of him somehow so I can post it. :3

The Silent Earth
Posted 18 years agoMy ear infection is gone, FINALLY. So things seem to be getting better. I NEVER want to go through that again...
I preordered the Coheed and Cambria album today (of course I got the delux edition thing). I'm soooo excited to hear it.~ Now I just need to get the comics. D:
I'll be posting more soon hopefully, I foresee freetime drawing soon. Maybe I can open up some cheap commission offers for badges or something. >3o; Who knows.
I mean, commissions in general are open, just keep in mind it might take a little while to get done. ;o
Another note: TF2 rocks the non existent junk in my pants!

The Blood on Your Hands
Posted 18 years agoSo, I have an ear infection and swelling. I've never had one before and I'm without any helpful pain meds. I've been using Tylenol Extra Strength and Advil, but it barely makes any difference. Just the antibiotics and ear drops. This suck ass. The pain has really prevented me from functioning normally. I can't even do homework without having to lay down after each sketch and recuperate from dizziness and the piercing surges. I can't sleep. I can't even eat normal increments because my jaw moving makes everything hurt so much more.
I'd go back to the doctor, but they won't let me come in and get the medication without getting reevaluated, and I don't have that kind of money. :<
If anyone has any sugguestions as to what would help relieve the pain without having to spend tons of money, I'd REALLY REALLY appreciate it. I don't have a heating pad, and warm washcloths don't do much of anything.

Red Right Ankle
Posted 18 years agoAll my classes are pretty much soaking in the lake of awesomeness. I'm super happy about that. Hopefully I'll get the freedom to make some fur 3d models or other stuff cool like that. :3
I got some free foam!!! xD So, I'll be trying to put together my first suit when I have extra time. I figure I should at least try to make it my fursona, and if I fail, I can still sell it off as a different character (assuming that it'll turn out good!).
*Also, if you decide to commission me, be aware the production might be slow.*
My school + homework = more time consuming than a fulltime job.

Posted 18 years agoCollege starts this Tuesday. <3
I can't wait. Sophomore year will be fun, especially since it has an animal anatomy class! We start digital media classes too, so that'll be nice too. Get to learn some 3d Studio. Mmm..
On another note, I might be attending FC. :3 I'm planning on making a fursuit, hopefully. If anyone has experience with making some, I'd love some help! I don't think I really know everything about making it.
