So I had a meeting with my supervisor, and got an apology (More or less, it was kind of just a talk) from the manager, the supervisor said that there would be no punitive actions taken, and just to put the whole thing behind us.
Needless to say I then filed my 2 week notice xD super excited about starting my new job, hopefully won't have to deal with people like that again, but who knows, life's crazy.

Posted 11 years agoAs most of you know I am (was) employed at a local McDonalds while in high school so I could have a little spending money, and afford a fursuit. I've been there for a year, and it generally has been an okay job, liked most my co-workers with the exception of 3 managers (all sisters) named Norma, Belle, and Mati. Last week I got a promotion from my supervisor that included a nice raise, so things we're looking bright, until earlier today I was working on making sandwiches, during a peak time, and Norma demands me to go out of my way to put down fries. To this I disagreed, I believed my priority was to get the food to customers, and I tried explaining this, and she replied with "I'm a manager, you do as I say" which I had MAJOR problems with, the greatest of them being the fact that she could have done the task she demanded me to do in the time it took to argue. So, I did the only rational thing, and called her our for having whack priorities, and she did the only rational thing to do and said "Go home, and don't come back" so I went home, and now am relaxing drinking iced tea.
The weirdest part about this personally, is that we are severally understaffed, and loosing more people to college (about 3-4) but I already had another job lined up, just cause it's good to have options, and now tomorrow I have orientation, and start at Lee Ann Chins.
Craziest of days.
