Two things to note here:

1) I decided not to do episodes. I liked the idea, but batting it around I didn't like how it would work submission-wise, so I will be doing my normal by-round format.

2) This first one will have to be delayed; it's the period of the first round of tests and exams, and I have a lot of studying to do. Therefore there will be a one-week extension, and I promise to get it up by next week sometime. >< Sorry about the delay!

Sooooo, a sort of random idea came to my sleep-deprived mind while I was writing the first of the stories for Manhunt, and I wanted to run it by you guys, to see what you thought about it. Instead of doing Manhunt as a big splurge of all of the round's stories tossed up at once, how would you guys like it if I put up a new "episode" every time one was finished, with an announcement so that you all could read it? Maybe a bit more of a hassle, but at the same time you guys can get a better idea of my progress as well.

Alright, first eliminations of the new Manhunt season are out; if you haven't received a note by now that says you're eliminated, congratulations! Alright guys, it's officially time for the second round of Manhunt: Inflator Style! And this is the sign-up sheet, so sign up here. Pretty much, this is a story series in which I ask you, the readers, to be directly involved! Zee will be hunting for his "contestants" throughout the city, and any caught will be inflated, fattened, etc. Each "round" survived means the remaining contestants will have a larger inflation when they're caught, and the winner will be the largest of them all! So, who will survive Zee's touch long enough to be the biggest of his "victims"? Tune in and find out!

Before I ask for sign-ups, here are the rules, so that you know what's going on:

1. There will be 16 contestants from those signing up. Sign-ups start now, and end officially on Wednesday, February 2nd, or whenever I get all of my slots filled up; whichever comes first! Contestants are required to pay a $6 entry fee, payable by Paypal to john.aghjayan@gmail.com. I will not ask for the entry fee until signups are closed, in case anyone wants to back out early.

2. Each round, through the use of random generation, half of the contestants will be "elimiated." In other words, they will be caught by Zee, and each will have a short story describing their capture. Each progressive rounds will have contestants getting bigger, and a bit more length added to stories. When you are eliminated, I will send you a note confirming your inflation type among other things, as well as to inform you that you've been eliminated!

3. The stories will be written and posted on a bi-weekly basis; normally I'd do it weekly but my school load this semester requires I take a little more time on my studies. At this point, feel free to comment, laugh at your capture, or breathe a sigh of relief at escaping another round... for now!

4. At the end, the winner will receive a prize from me, as well as the longest of the stories in the inflation series. It's all by luck, unfortunately, but who knows; it could be you!

Just as the title suggests, this semester is going to be very busy and difficult for me. After two days of re-registering and shuffling classes due to an error that left my original schedule deleted, I've found myself taking nineteen credit hours of classes this semester. It's... going to be rough, to put it lightly. Most of it isn't too bad; Political Thought isn't hard, and I'm good at mathematics so Accounting should be fine. Styles of Acting? Easy breeze. The rest will depend on how classes go, honestly. It's not going to be easy or fun, but it's the only way I'm going to be able to graduate next fall instead of the spring after, so I gotta go through with it.

And to top things off, I'm taking eighteen more next semester. >_>; Fortunately 5/6 of the classes are electives (two of them are government-specific electives, but meh) so it should be a bit easier once I've gotten through this workload.

So what does this mean regarding me and my writing? Well, it'll slow me down a bit, but I will get work together as soon as I can. Schoolwork is gonna come first, and I know y'all are going to leave the usual "It's okay, focus on your work first!" comments so I'm just gonna thank you now in advance. That isn't to say, however, that I won't be setting aside a bit of personal time every day in order to relax, take a breather, and see my friends. I will get writing done, though at a slower rate, and I'll be around. Just... be prepared for a very tired wolf if you're talking to me at the end of the day. xD

So yeah, just pray for my success. x_x I get through this and next semester and I'm officially done with my undergraduate degree. Then it's onto law school! Yay. Well, either way, things will happen as they will, so wish me the best.

Well, it's been a few days since Zy left, which makes it a bit easier to write this (I miss him a looooot. D:). Anyway, Zy and I had a wonderful trip, filled with friends, fun, food, and crazy New Year's hijinx. The last was probably one of the greatest sorts of amusement- since we're almost all too young to really toast a glass (we're all 20, while Zy is 22, darn him), my folf brought down a six-pack of glass bottled Cokes. The authentic glass bottles to clink together, etc. So we were about three minutes until the start of the ball dropping on New Year's, and we started passing them out. However, instead of the twist-tops we thought they had, the bottles actually were the kind where you needed a bottle opener to get the top off. We realized this at about one minute to the ball dropping and practically sprinted out to the kitchen to get a bottle opener. Thirty seconds to countdown we were set (talk about pushing the deadline!) and managed to get the New Year's toast, and then proceed to set off firecrackers in the trees. Not my idea. >_>

But yes, we had a wonderful time. Miss him a lot, and though it was a painful departure, we still get to talk daily. It's always something to look forward to. Love you, hon. <3

As a separate note, I'm thinking of doing another round of Manhunt. If you guys haven't read it, check my gallery; it's the big multi-part piece. Anyway, I'm thinking of taking another sixteen entries and doing a second season, so to speak. Naturally people from the first one are welcome to participate again, but I'd like to try and get some new blood in as well, figuratively speaking.

So here's how it'd work. Sixteen contestants would be chosen to *cough* "round out" the roster, and then from there we would have four rounds. In each round, half of the current participants would be "eliminated" by their choice of inflation in short stories. Naturally that makes a lot of work for the first round (eight short stories) but as a result, those who are lucky enough to last until the later rounds will get progressively longer stories, up to the finalist who will get a decent-sized piece of their own. This is entirely by random selection, not by my own choice, and Zy is watching me to make sure I don't let bias get in the way of my selections. xD

Now, this is NOT a sign-up sheet. That'll come once I've caught up a bit. I'll have one commission finished any day now and at least one more to do before this opens. Also, I'd like to make a note, which some may not like: this round will come with a fee. Since I'm essentially writing 4+ page stories (that was the average on the shorter ones before) I'm going to charge $6 per entry, which is less than my default commission price on 5+ pages. If this is a problem, I apologize, but it's a lot of work for me to do for nothing. ^^;

So I went to pick up Zy from the bus station today. It's been a veeeeeeery interesting day in that aspect. First off, the online address for Greyhound was wrong, and I spent forty-five minutes driving around on the WRONG SIDE OF CHARLOTTE looking for him. The sad thing? His bus was actually early on its arrival. I was the one who was late. Irony. D:

Then we had to get back... and again I got lost 'cause I don't know where the highway ramp is from downtown. I don't go downtown often. >.>; Anyway. So we finally managed to get back home after stopping at a Bojangles for a nice breakfast. All has gone well since then, fortunately. Parents were happy to see him (Mom treated him like she does me after I get back from six months of college...) and we settled in nicely.

Oh, and he got me a really, really nice belated Christmas present. One of the systems I've always wanted was a PSP to play Dissidia, KH: Birth By Sleep, and FFVII: Crisis Core. Apparently he got a broken-down one and repaired it from scratch... it's really amazing how well it's working! So we're sharing a PSP that we'll cycle out every now and then, and he got me Dissidia to go with it, so... *squeeeeeeeeeee!* He has earned his hugs for the visit. :3

Just kidding. He's getting them like it or not. ;D Take care, folks!

Anddddddd. To top it off, I got something I was really looking for for a long time. I gots me a tablet! I do a little drawing here and there, and I've been looking into a tablet for a while. But I didn't just get a decent one like I was looking at; my parents went all-out and got me like a $200 one. It's just like... wow. x3 I'm gonna be playing with it for a while. So if I don't reply, I'm toying around with it. :P Just don't expect a mass of art submissions; I'm not THAT good.

A lot of people, as they've talked to me recently, have noticed that I've been depressed/moody/down lately. And I have been. It's been a rough semester, no lie; school has been bearing down particularly hard on me, emotional issues with my family has been leaving me feeling like I just want to break down some nights, and for the last two months or so, I've been unable to sleep more than a couple of hours a night, leaving me physically exhausted above it all.

However. Despite all of this, I've come to realize something very, very important tonight. Something I've known for a while, and something that really has meant something valuable to me. I've rediscovered again one of the greatest things I've been thankful for for the past two years, the greatest treasure to my life and the one thing that has really made more of an impact on me than anything else in my life. And it took just a few simple actions to really make me realize this.

I'm really, really thankful for my mate,  Zylosxiii. Tonight, we just did our usual routine of cuddling via IM and chattering and just being our usual silly selves. However, when we were talking, something I said without thinking really made me stop and... well, think:

And thinking about it, this statement had a profound meaning to me. Every bit of that was true; with almost everyone, we always make little wishes about how they could be that itty bit better. But I don't need any of that, because he's really made me feel special and loved more than anyone else. Zy's made me feel really worth something, which is rare; I have a very low self-image. However, thanks to him, he has just made every day so wonderful, made my whole life so perfect. It's hard to believe that this is real, and that I have the rest of my life to spend with him.

I'm just very thankful for you, hon. Know more than anything else that you are the light of my life, the strength in my weakness, the smiles that stop the tears. Zy, thank you so much for being the one who, more than anyone else, makes my life so very meaningful. I love you, hon. <3

So, it's been a rather horrible Thanksgiving, but that just seems to be my run of luck lately. Where to begin?

First off, my family was supposed to meet with my sister's boyfriend's family for Thanksgiving. We had a big meal planned, and a nice chance to mingle our families. We were supposed to eat at 3:00 PM. Well, funny thing about that. We got a call at 12:30, wondering where we were. Apparently, they didn't care to inform us that we had our meal at noon, and then my sister got rushed off of the phone. All we got was that they were most of the way done with their Thanksgiving meal and were going out for a movie afterward.

So where does that leave us? Well, my parents and I had no meal planned as we were supposed to go with them, so we had no Thanksgiving. Instead, we ended up going to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt 1. My Thanksgiving meal was popcorn, Coke, and Sweettarts. Gee, what a swell day, huh?

Oh, and to top it off, I get to work on a paper due on Monday. The day I go back to school. Twenty-page paper on rough estimate.

Clearly, this Thanksgiving sucked. -.-;

As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to be giving up on NaNoWriMo this year. I've wrung myself dry and done more than I thought I can, and pushing myself any further isn't going to be good for my health. The last three nights in a row I've been up as late as 5-6AM trying to push together my muse to write, but I'm completely tapped out. So I'm afraid I'm going to have to retire from NaNoWriMo early; maybe next year I'll be ready for it for real. Until then, I suppose I'm out.

Regarding commissions, am I giving up what's left on my queue? I doubt it. I hate telling people no after I've kept them waiting this long. Minh's I'm definitely gonna finish 'cause I'm already over halfway done with it. The other two... well, I leave that to the commissioners. I'm starting to run dry and I feel that their works won't be up to my usual standards, so I'm hesitant to say I know I'm going to take them.

Again, I WILL be finishing  Minh_Ande's work.

The other two commissioners, please contact me via note or IM or whatever, and we'll discuss things. I'm sorry for getting hopes up, but when you can't write, you can't write. :s

Well, it’s five days until the start of NaNoWriMo! What is it, you ask? The name stands for National Novel Writer’s Month. This is a sort of writing challenge, directed at yourself; you get from November 1st to November 30th to write a story (or stories) worth 50,000 words. I normally try to take the challenge every year, and have been doing so for four years now. Not once have I succeeded; usually exams or finals or something would come up and make me put everything aside. Honestly, I expect them to do so again.

So what I’m going to do, rather than “officially” enter this year, is enter in a sort of unofficial way. You see, the point of NaNoWriMo is quantity over quality, making you go that extra step and put everything out from your mind onto paper before you go and edit it. You’re aiming to write 50,000 words; it doesn’t have to be one cohesive story. I’ve seen several people submit multiple stories and still hit the 50,000 word mark successfully. So what I’m going to do is apply that to my commissions; it gives me even more incentive to finish them in a timely manner. Currently I’m in the middle of  addylad’s commission, and I will mark what point I am at the end of Sunday, October 31st. From there, I will be keeping a record in my journal heading of how many words I’ve covered so far, and will be using each of my commissions towards that goal of finishing NaNoWriMo this year, even unofficially. After all, the only reward for a completion is a certificate. I’m willing to pass that up to still undertake that challenge.

So keep an eye on this journal; you can see how much progress I make every day. Hopefully you’ll see me zipping along, and you can cheer me on the whole way!

So here's my latest issue: The concept of "mates" in the fandom. Not the idea that it's supposed to embody, being so close to someone that they're that special someone for life. The concept that I imagine being someone's mate means is that they are someone you will never let go, that you will cherish forever, that will be the one person to whom you dedicate your whole life. I embody this in Zy: I love him with all of my heart, and I plan to grow old with him, to live with him... he really is the whole world to me, above all else.

However. The biggest thing that's irked me to date is that so many of the people I've seen in the fandom take that concept and stamp it in the mud. If I wanted to pull out a list it'd be a pretty dang long one. How do they do this? To them, a mate is just a best friend, and it's a status thing. To some, it's about equal to a middle-school relationship: short-lived and for nothing but the sake of saying you had one for all of your friends. And to others? They just jump from person to person, calling each one their mate, and saying they love them so deeply before turning around and going elsewhere.

Forgive my language, but that's just bullshit. It's like taking the very deep, special concept I have and share with my mate and treating it like a toy. It might seem silly to get this upset over it, but it really does get under my skin more than anything else. It's made worse that some people close to me have done this exact same thing... and it's just so frustrating. Especially when I've told some how I feel and they do it again anyway. Not going to name any names; that's unfair. But just know that it's this sort of thing that just drives me up the wall more than anything else.

I understand some people think they're in love when they're not. It happens, and I know it's happened to me before. But at the same time, show a little maturity, folks... if you're "falling in love" with a new person every other week, is it really love, or are you just being confused? Just... ugh.

Anyway, there's my little mini-rant for now... sorry y'all have to listen, but hey, it gets it off my chest, ne?

So... back from my furmeet already. I was there from about noon to 3-3:30ish. Yeah, it wasn't long, but it wasn't a huge group meeting either. Only like... let's see. Fifteen people showed up? Not a bad get together for a small non-con meet. So in the end I drove longer than I stayed... 3-3 1/2 hours each way. So 6-7 hours of driving for about half of that in the meet. Score?

So yeah. The meet itself was... well, disappointing isn't the right word for it. I had a good time, overall. But at the same time, just about everyone had their mate there with them or knew a few people there. I was really the lone wolf (pun unintended) among them. Oh well. But I still did enjoy myself! I got to meet a lot of people, though I didn't get many names (or remember most of them...), and I got to chat and really find a group I fit in semi-decently with. I even got to glomp a husky/wolf hybrid (there was a full husky but his mate didn't give me permission. :c) while I was there. Yay. XD

So yeah. It wasn't a GREAT time, but mostly because most of the group knew each other and I was the new kid in town. I'll get used to them over time. :) Hopefully this'll get better and better as it goes along.

Hey y'all, just wanted to give you a heads-up; I will be away all day tomorrow at a furmeet with the  Carolinafurs group near Charlotte. It's the first furry event I've been to besides Anthrocon, so I'm really excited for it. :D

But yeah, I'll be unexpectedly missing most of tomorrow so... try not to miss me too much. =P

I'ma wavin' tomorrow! The usual time, from 8:00-10:00ish EST, and I hope we'll get a better turnout than last time. xD Only like... what, five (?) people showed up until I dragged a few more in. By the way, for those of you who have asked me for commissions (and I have one slot left still, for those interested...) I would like to note that I will not be doing them in the order that I received them. Instead I will be doing them from easiest to hardest, to clear out some sooner than others so that I can get them all done in the most timely matter possible. The ones that have given me more description and more to work with will come first, while the vague ones will be bumped down a slot in priority. This isn't to say that I'm putting down works; this is simply the way to get the most done most efficiently and reduce wait times to clear up sections of my list faster. Please don't take offense if you got bumped down a notch. ^^;

Yeah, that's right. o.o I'm retaking commissions now. Once I've finished Takuma's piece that will be the only thing I'll be focusing on for a bit, seeing as I realllllly need money right now and it'd really be appreciated if I could get a helping hand. ^^;

As it is, I'm not opening three, not four, but FIVE commission slots now. Yeah, that's right, FIVE. Send me a note if you're interested in a slot, and it should contain all of the below:

1. Story Type (Inflation, WG, Muscle, etc. Yes, I do muscle. D:)
2. Story Description - What sort of things do you want to see? I'd like something a bit more general than "Can you fatten up my character?" if you could. Would make my work just a teeny bit easier. Want your character fattened up in a specific setting or a specific way? You're now my new best friend for the easier workload. =P
3. Character Descriptions - If there are any specific characters you want included, please send me either a picture reference or a WELL-WRITTEN reference. The latter is emphasized because "A red dragon" isn't very much detail at all for me to work with. x_x; This applies to ALL characters you want included.
4. Additional Notes - Anything specific you want in the story. I'm not just talking the plot, or how your character gets fattened; this is anything that doesn't fit in the above categories that you still want added.

Also, before you submit a note, PLEASE read the commission information in my profile. That'd be appreciated. A lot. I also reserve the right to deny a piece if I don't feel I can do it... please understand if that's the case. D:!
