Why is it free? Easy. The current temp job has wonky hours.... and I'm still searching for employment opportunities in my desired field of study (A.K.A. Life, shit, etc.). This WILL affect turn-around times of doodles... well beyond any reason to charge for this level of work. Besides, it's more of a stress reliever than an opportunity to progress within this art community (for me, anyway).
