All you need to know really is that I'm a small person with a bit of a warped sense of humor and a penchant for daydreaming. I've been told I'm a nice person, and generally fun to be around. Offline I'm a bit quiet, online I seem to care less about the drivel I say. I draw, I direct (theater), I conceptualize. I have my own brand of theology that pulls from several areas including Buddhism, Quakerism, Hinduism, and Paganism. Also, I own a cat. She is fuzzy.

Status update!
Mostly just to prove that I'm still alive.
GUYS. It has been a crazy busy couple of months, and I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still a bit of a ways off. The big news - I'm moving. But not moving in the same way I have for the past 8 years where I just decide "hey it's time for a massive change of scenery, let's go to Canada." Rather, we bought a place, a pretty awesome little place at that. We close tomorrow. Words cannot describe my excitement but I seem to keep yelling "I CAN FINALLY PAINT. HELL I COULD KNOCK DOWN A WHOLE WALL IF I WANTED TO."
The actual move in time/rate is probably going to be fairly drawn out. There's some stuff we want taken care of pretty quickly, and it's just easier to do that without people + cat in the way. Lead paint. Seems important to address. My goal is to be installed in our swanky new pad by the end of January, but we'll probably be moving small things over for awhile. Because it's really cold and we're lazy and our current situation allows us to be.
Other news. The last update I made was pre-MFF. Convention was great, found a nice balance between professional work, con work, and con doofing around. Chris came with me this year and was suitably amused.
Immediately following MFF, we were off to Florida for Thanksgiving with one set of parental units. Quite probably the most bizarrely laid back Thanksgiving I've ever been part of. It... it almost didn't exist, it was so casual. Still, it was a very nice visit.
After Thanksgiving was the mad, Christmas dash. I had BIG BIG PLANS for gifts this year and I fell short a little bit. I created a game I had wanted to play for gift exchanging with family and friends and I only managed to make it happen for family this year. It was a massive success though, so NEXT YEAR. I will not divulge too much information at this time. It will be awesome though. So three weeks of baking, spent several days shopping in malls and online and in small, local stores. We went to Florida (again) to spend the early part of the holidays with another parental group. Less pleasant visit but glad we went. We will NOT be splitting the holidays again next year. Fuck no. Back home on Christmas day to spend the rest of the holiday here with ANOTHER PARENTAL/FAMILY GROUP. Seriously, Christmas lasted 3 weeks for me. I cooked a full goose (x2) and we made a gingerbread house (which is still standing because no one wants to eat it now). Again - big plans for gingerbread construction next year. I am utterly Yule'd out and am ready for Halloween again.
New Year's Eve got sucked up into the Christmas holiday. It was low key this year. Usually it is anything but. We kept it to just the family and stayed home and made previously mentioned gingerbread house featuring a chicken, a snowman, a bobcat, a vagrant, and a stegosaurus.
Then when everyone finally cleared out, it's been all about finishing up the paperwork on this house, and really crappy weather which everyone is already aware about. This is the last big thing planned for awhile. I'm hoping that things will get back on track and I can get back to living MY life when we're there. Does that mean I might resurface with some art? I hope so. I really do. Though it will likely be a different form of art as I'm currently singly focused on interior decorating and I might not bother posting things here as it's not terribly relevant.
So that's it. So much running around I've barely had time for anything else. Hopefully that will change in the near future. Still, if anyone needs me or wants to talk, I'm out there and available. Just let me know and I'll find a way to get in touch :)
