Poor little guy's been through a lot. Human life as a PETA droog. Turned into a dog by a sadistic gryphon creature that kept him entrapped as a pet. Told that going back to human form would result in a stay in Hell. Given the choice to change back even with this knowledge in mind. The simple realization of what he has been.
I just hope that with his new love and marriage with Bailey will make things better for him.
