I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the last chapter....But it's basically them going to work in absolutely horrific back-breaking field labor jobs...I think you still get paid....Barely. There's really little to no chance of ever getting free by that point and the work probably puts you in an early grave...Amon with his prior injury would not last very long. :(
Neither, I think. His society is far too anti-gay, there would be WAY to much explaining/fabricating to do if Amon was even brought on board the ship. Think of how weird it would be to bring such an old person, one of different nationality and no sailing experience, on board. There's already some suspicion among the crew, and this would probably blow Luther out of the closet - costing him his job AND his family.
Amon is going to be one of the slaves sold to the dragons, that's almost a certainty. Now, I'm a Luther/Amon shipper, so I'm hoping that in the upcoming battle that the sold slaves are "rescued" from the dragons, and then since they're out of their normal jobs the whole lot is taken on the fleet to become house servants to nobles back in Luther's country.

I definitely can see that as a possibility. Or he could say he learned that a house servant back home quit/left/died and say he got a replacement while he was ashore. Course with Rukis it's hard to tell. For all we know Amon may be sold to the dragons and end up getting killed in the ensuing battle/rescue.
Yes yes... I know... I have read them all. I even own the book that she publish. But I would love that she make an exception with this one. But thinking of it, not all character have had a bleak end Luther being one of them. So far he had it pretty lucky. Amond being such an important character in here story, she did spent so much time to build his subtlety it would be a pity to to have him bee destroyed in a wimp in order to trow off balance the reader.

For God's sake I'm scared for Amon. I'm sorry but Rukis, if you hurt my Fennec I swear...I'll go mad! I'm gonna be bursting into tears and singing the last verses of I Dreamed a Dream if he is hurt...I love Amon...like Marcus, he's sweet and kind. I had my way I'd take the poor bugger home and let him stay and be happy. The next page better be a page of a passionate kiss and Luther saying "I love you, and I won't let anything happen to you." I am hoping that's what it is. The tears flow as I write. My heart's about to break. I love you Amon!
I love this page. You're wonderful with expressions to begin with, but for some reason the conversation on this page might as well continue even without words, since the expressions are so PERFECT!

LOL I'm sure amstel must be among your favorite reference piece. Only dog owner like us can see the subtle expression from there dog face, and you are rendering them so well. Yes I can see my dog begging expression in that drawing of your.
The only thing awkward is the pose in which Luter is drawn, standing in front of Amon. I think it would have been better with one nee down. Love this comic series...

O and I was listening to TOTO live in concert playing "While My guitar Gently Weeps" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR74WlF-FdQ but on the actual dvd were the sound is breath taking! I think it's quite fitting with the above scene.
Wow you are really at a level where excellent or awesome doesn't really makes you justice! I'm impressed of how exquisite is your use of lighting, I really wish I could have watched this page in the stream while you we're coloring it. Folks, there would have to be a major Deus Ex Machina in the world they live in to let Luther be able to just "end up riding off in the sunset" with Amon. I think the best we will get is something bittersweet and I am ok with that. They are in a harsh world and bittersweet is the best ending to the rest of the choices.
