I know with Luther's eyes and almost-smirk in the last panel makes it look like he's almost trying to say this is different from a servant/client situation, but does anyone else find even the reference to the professional relationship as a bit of a killjoy? I mean, I can't tell if Amon's expression is just "overwhelmed" or "crashing down after a sudden high"...

This looks beautiful! The fur textures really come through on this one. However, the perspective of Luther's muzzle to his eyes doesn't look quite right. His mouth looks like it's at an even 3/4ths view, but his eyes' positioning make his head look like it's tilted to his right a bit. That said, I think the perspective for the kiss in the third panel is gorgeous and pulls off the kisses with muzzles really well!

I like to imagine that the third panel lasts about five minutes. It must be the most anticipated kiss in the entire history of comics, possibly for the two of them, too.
Why am I so afraid that the plot is about to catch up with them? Is a happy ending even possible...? It brings a hint of bitterness into something that should be nothing but sweet.

It happened! Oh my gods it happened! I really truly never thought this would ever happen! I hoped, I wished, I prayed, but never did I think I'd share a kiss with a man, let alone an attractive one to boot, and furthermore, a the first man, and one who is more like me that any person I've yet met. His strong hands on mine, my hands shaking in his. I am aquiver with excitement and fear, nervous anticipation, and dread. What if something wrong befalls us. What if this moment is the beginning of something that should have never been? I worry all the time, that now we have kissed, we will never do so again as an act of such intimacy as the first time. I cannot remember the moment clearly, though I try hard, and though it has been mere months, it feels like years. So much has happened between us, yet so little. Is it me, or am I overeager? Is it him, being cautious? Or maybe some combination of the two. All I know is, I want to say I love him, and have him know what I mean. I want him to say he loves me, and mean it as something more than the platonic love of brothers. I would wish we could be together, but can it ever be so? Am I wishing for a whimsy, not a sordid fact? Gods grant me the power to persevere, no matter what the truth may be. May they lend me the strength to let him show me, and for me not to try and lead him anywhere. I would like him to come to me, and while I would like to do the same in return, I would do so at his command, so as to move at his pace, since the pace my heart sets, is rapid and morose.
