... or some of them, anyway. Just doodling and thinking about what else I could have them do. They all have different color schemes, but they're all A-B-A-B (just as Grub is yellow-green-yellow-green, or perhaps lemon-lime-lemon-lime, or mango-kiwi-mango-kiwi).
Grubshire is one of the various regions of Plush Land, notable for being the home of the Grubs. It is the setting of the imaginary "Grub: the Movie" as seen here and here.
Grub is of course the original
grub. He is gainfully employed outside Grubshire as an expert hug technician and support giver but occasionally visits home on vacations (the gateway being the washing machine).
Punc always has an attitude, and his antenna takes the form of punctuation marks depending on what that attitude is. It's difficult for him to conceal his feelings.
Spring has a positive attitude in most situations. No matter the setback, she always bounces back. (Ha ha.) Occasionally late at night she wonders how much more she could accomplish in life if she had actual limbs.
Star is the most famous Grub in Grubshire. He's a Grub of many talents, riding a unicycle and juggling among them. Nobody knows how he does it all with no arms or legs. "Intensive training," he says when others ask.
Mayor Grubbsworthy is the mayor of Grubston. Not of all Grubshire, though. The other towns of Grubsford, West Grubsburg, etc. have other mayors. He's always trying to make sure Grubston stays on top, though. Nobody knows why he has a monocle when he has no discernible eyes. Perhaps his eyes are hidden under those bushy eyebrows.
Ragnar Grubsmith works at the Grubforge. He made his hat himself and is very proud of it. Some say he is the creator of all the Grubs. "Meh," he says when others ask. He's a Grub of few words.

Aww thankoo ZeeZee :) He was in the first scene with a question mark. I was going to just make a question mark over his head but then thought of making it part of him. Since then I've thought, what if that changes depending on his mood? So it's an exclamation mark when he's alarmed, a question mark when he's confused, an ellipsis when he could say something but is choosing not to, and just a full stop when he's done talking. I suppose it could be a quotation mark if he's quoting someone, and maybe a semicolon when he's saying a very long sentence.
Ooo that's a great idea, because it means a baby one gets to be a little adorable fuzzball! ^^ Spring is a girl, I decided, but she's not all that girly. There's no mommy or daddy Grubs, but if there were baby ones, then there'd have to be. I like the elder Grub idea -- maybe he could be Guru Grub or something. :)
