We did Seven Star blocking and Iron Shirt for bonewashing. Talk about some painful shit LOL
Hey, glad to see people support and actually practice something more than whirling cheaply-made ninja swords and claims to studying *insert something distinctly Japanese here*. Rock on, kitty-cat

Oh yeah, seven star blocking, haha. It's three star blocking in our style at least, since it's only three intervals you hit at , but bashing forearms together for 5-10 minutes is probably one of the most mind numbing things ever. I must agree. XD
Hell yeah man, kung fu is where it's at. You win yo

You're very right, and the sash typically isn't that long either. It's also tied differently, at least on my own outfit.
For the sake of the picture though, it was in the front..for dramatic effect. But thank you for bringing that up; it pleases me that someone has knowledge about it. :D

lol Fuck that, I'm lazy. Besides, stancework's sone snazzy shit, and you guys should be pretty okay, with all of the emphasis on body conditioning and whatnot
In the end, it all comes out to about the same strategy of "one strike, put the motherfucker down for the day", so whatever you pick up's great, as long as you can use it

Yeah! I always wondered if there were some actual kung fu folk here. And damn, Hung gar is intense. I've been out of practice since I had to move away for college, but I do Bok Fu Do. It's a recently created style (by Grandmaster Lee), but I definitely wouldn't take it lightly for its lack of age. It's more on the soft side compared to Hung gar, kind of a weird mixture of southern Shaolin and Okinawan Karate and some others.
But to actually comment on the pic, I love the consistency of the character and the awesome poses. Very well done Hibbary!
