The first part of my Sonnet Crown, all readable here: <<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
For those who'd rather not download it:
The Kraken
In the beginning, there is nothing
Absence, void, shadow, endless reefs
With no coast, no reliefs
From a removal of everything.
Man says “Let there be light!”
Though it is bright, there remains
A place, where things are strange,
Where man fears the night.
Here, in the reaches beyond the star,
Past the eye of the telescope,
Under the waves of the oceans,
Past where the metals plunge,
There is what man’s reach cannot grope
Where the homes of the Kraken are.
