So yeah, went to see Ant-Man and I gotta say, I was REALLY impressed. More so with how Marvel Studios incorporated the other Marvel movies (Avengers Movies and their characters namely) into this film.
But yeah, it was funny, it had action, and seeing how Scott Lang train to BECOME Ant-Man was pretty awesome. Especially seeing him shrink fast enough to jump through a keyhole and then return to normal size. And seeing him bond with his ants and naming that one particular ant, Anthony, was just "D'awwww". Was pretty sad to see him die. :'C
Anyhoo, I found Michael Douglas as an excellent choice for Dr. Hank Pym. He had the right amount of spunk for an old guy and kept me laughing with his antics. Like that scene in the movie where Dr. Pym asks Scott if he's ready to become the hero his daughter thinks he is, and Scott says, "Absolutely! My days of breaking into buildings and stealing stuff are done! What do you need for me to do?" To which Dr. Pym replies, "I need for you to break into a building and steal some stuff." XD
Another moment that I found great was when Ant-Man had to face off against the Falcon. Didn't think he'd last that long against an Avenger but it was pretty funny too. And like I said at the beginning, I really liked how Marvel incorporated the Avengers into this movie. There was this one scene from the movie, can't remember exactly, where things are becoming desperate and Scott says something like, "Why don't you just call the Avengers or something?" and Dr. Pym says that he's kept his technology a secret for this long and he's not about to hand it over to the likes of Tony Stark. Which is kinda funny, seeing as how at the start of the movie, you see Howard Stark, trying to convince him to share his technology, the Pym Particle, with them. XD
And that final fight scene at the end, where Yellowjacket is fighting Ant-Man, and he's throwing the model train-set at him, and he just knocks it away - and that one scene where the train engine is heading directly for Yellowjacket and he's bracing for impact, and then the camera zooms out to show you showing the train-engine falling off from its track, that was pretty funny.
And
All in all, I enjoyed watching Ant-Man, and even more so the TWO secret clips at the end of the movie.
1) Dr. Hank Pym shows his daughter the advanced prototype suit that was going to be for his wife, Janet, who was then the Wasp. And he says that how after everything he realizes that they (him and his lost wife) were working on it for Hope, to which she replies, "It's about damn time." So we can expect a return of THE WASP as Dr. Hank Pym's daughter. X3
2) This second clip got me REALLY excited. It showed Steve Rogers aka Captain America walking down a hall towards Sam Wilson aka Falcon, who has captured Bucky (Bucky as in THE BUCKY from Captain America:Winter Soldier). Anyways, the two heroes step to the side and start talking, Falcon ask Cap, "Should we get Tony Stark?" to which Cap says, "No. And even if we did, he wouldn't help us." And then Falcon says, "Don't worry, I know a guy." And then it cuts to, "ANT-MAN WILL RETURN"
BOO-YAH! He'll return all right in Captain America: Civil War! X3 SO excited for 2016! :D
So, have you seen Ant-Man? What did you think of it? Let me know! :D

That's inflation for you. This was at MovieTowne (MT). If I'd have gone to IMAX, it'd have cost TT$75.00, which isn't that far off from MT in terms of price. Just TT$15.00 more. I usually only go to IMAX to see the really big blockbuster movies, like Marvel's recent Avengers: Age of Ultron, and before that was The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. So yeah, going to the movies is my vice, apart from buying commissions here on FA.
it was a pretty awesome movie. in my opinion it was the best stand alone hero marvel movie. had the right amount of action and comedy and kept me reeled into
although (SPOILERS) i gotta admit i know he was a dick and the ant-agonist(badum tss!) but i kinda felt bad for the cross guy when he got stuck in the bug zapper.i imagine that must be like getting zapped in the electric chair over and over again. and then when he imploded that seemed pretty brutal. but i guess he had it coming but that seemed like a horrible way to go.
but yeah other than that the movie was totally awesome! wouldn't mind watching it again to be honest.
and seeing 60 bucks for one freaking movie ticket makes me really appreciate the low cost over here, aint gonna take that for granted anymore
also, on a side note. should we be expecting any ant-man themed micro/macro art between you and jasmine? lol

i didnt catch onto it at first but then i recognized it. when the lasars from the yellow jacket are shooting off i think its the tai fighter laser sound effect they use, they even mentioned the use of its sound effects in the end credits by crediting lucasarts.
ya know,
since they own those guys now
