The Reed of Carnal Beckoning is a time-honored traditional accessory that indicates a general willingness in the wearer to, in scientific terms, "get it on."
Originally and officially, the blue-leafed reed-stem is for use by an enclave's females to indicate that they are approachable for certain reasons, but it has since become fashionable for males to use the reed's color or the reed itself in personal decoration, as well.
Because of this, the reed's distinct light blue color has become the yinglets' general cultural indicator of "come get some."
Merry Happy Year!

As few and protected as the females are in yinglet society, there's a pretty strict code of formalities when it comes to getting their permission to mate.
If a male tried to force himself on a female, the rest of the males would descend on him in a frenzy exceeding that of a crowd that had been waiting a week outside the Apple store for the new iPhone, which sees someone try to cut the line on opening day. Basically, there wouldn't be anything left of the body to identify.
Patriarchs have much higher priority in the line, but still; rules are rules!

First, gotta say I am really liking the website design. Really draws in the eye and fits the comic quite nicely. Secondly what an awesome page. You're grasp of body language is put to good use through and the expressions are spot on for what I would expect from them given the situation.
So we finally discover the meaning behind the blue reed and the reason for Poak's excitement. He was excited to see this new attractive female whom, from his pov, was in the mood for some yinglet lovin'. Only to discover it was not the case, poor guy. And Kass, oh the look his face upon Poak's proposition. Understandably surprised and now justifiably irritated, love that expression when Kass goes to speak with Vizlet. As well as Vizlet's reaction.
Now the question is did Vizlet have one of the girls put the headdress upon Kass as an attempt to setup a little carnal rendezvous for the enclave's newest female? Of course at the time Vizlet believed that she was little more that just another female. So the revelation of things not being as they seem surely might of changed Vizlet's mind, but not in time to change the attire. Still I look forwards to hearing the matriarch explain the meaning of this little incident.

Great comic I can't wait to see the next one.
I can not help but think this might be the last time Kass willingly wears the Reed of Carnal Beckoning. I wonder how there conversation will go, will she explain her original plan and why she did it and hope for the best, or just lie like a dog.
I have been looking forward to this conversation for a while about the females sacred duty.
And what does Kass intend to do about it, I would recommend asking the Matriarch but not even she is excused from that sacred duty. And I assume she would loss her position if she tried to prevent it for to long. I suppose she could ask Viracroix for help. But how would Viracroix react to that, is he willing to order Kass to do her duty for the truce and what just might be his only way to ever find out about Yinglet breeding habits.
Personally I wonder just how long Kass can avoid mating with the Yinglets even with the or Viracroix Matriarch's help.
Will she eventually give in and if she does with who.
I can not wait to find out.
Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ooo, the promise of the comics to come. I also cannot help but think back to when Kass made the agreement with Viracroix. Kass made some hefty demands of Viracroix, and though he agreed it was under the concession that he would be able to ask for something in return.
So now that Kass has begun to integrate into the Enclave, I find myself wondering if perhaps Chronocrosser was correct. Viracroix has a desire for knowledge so I can’t help but wonder if having Kass go through the Yinglet mating rituals and process to the point of possibly having a younglet of his own might be Viracroix’s demand for the continued upholding of the aforementioned agreement between he and Kass.
Also I must wonder, will we see more Lopin? Last we saw the little yinglet was in bit of a pickle and do hope nothing bad has happened to that daper little yinglet.
Haha; I admit, I wasn't expecting him to be as popular as he apparently is! It's one thing to have readers latch on to a character that's designed to be the more eye/interest-catching type, but quite another when the character in question was just designed to be themselves!
Though from a yinglet perspective, he's pretty much a friendly Goliath, the sort of figure whose size/presence ends up being scrawled on cave walls.

Suggestion for site: you can make it mobile friendly by splitting the image into multiple images, one per panel.
I'm sure you know this but just in case: the panels can still be arranged like they are now on-screen, by placement of image tags side by side like this

etc.
Also, set up a Patreon and put the link on your sites and elsewhere. :D

In this edition of "Kass' terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day" ...
I really apreciate how you forshadowed the reed of carnal beckenning on the previous page in a way that set it up properly but didn't in any way deminish the reveal/puncline here.
I just can't get enough of your wonderful comic.
