And so we come to the conclusion of another adventure, the twenty-second, in the saga of Westersloe Winterbough, the Fifth of His Name and Master of the Vale of Elfhame. Well, at least in theory, anyway. In today's episode, he gets another reminder of just who is in charge in his native land, and it ain't him.
I'll explain the thumbnail in another posting; there is a brief reference to it in the story itself.
Thank you for reading this adventure. A new adventure will be starting very soon!

Well, we now know in the most definitive way possible that an elf mel who has transmogrified is fertile in the new species...
Wonder how the fox cub will be raised, and if it will know it has a half-sister and -brother of a different species.
Anastasia knows. There's no doubt at all in my mind on that score. Whether or not Zonya knows that Anastasia knows is another question.
And Estvan was not successful in getting Siobhan's transformation reversed. There is a reckoning to come due there...

Verrrrry interesting. One wonders if Gawain -knows- that WW fulfilled his mission correctly and is just taking the piss here, or if he honestly believes that the roebuck messed up? On the plus side, I suspect that both young William and Kennelford know -exactly- what is going on with the whole affair.
I appear to be in error, as the latest story implies…interesting...
Well here's my theory on the Transmog/impregnation.
The body of a mel typically stores sperm at-the-ready for a moment's notice, (you never know exactly when a fem will get amorous) and several loads worth.
Elves can't cross breed across the different types, roe-bucks produce roe-sperm, fox-tods produce fox-sperm etc. specialized to get it's specific job done.
So probably when an Elf-mel transmogrifies his form from buck to tod, his nuts are still holding several loads of roe-sperm at the ready, so even with a form shift there's no compatibility with the female end of things. So a quick form-shift and roll in hay won't result in babies. Hence the accepted theory that elves of different species can't interbreed even with transmogrification.
However WW5 spent a few days as a fox-tod, enough time probably for his now transformed nuts to flush out the old stored roe-seed for freshly made fox-seed of his current prolonged transformed state.
Thus some venery with Miss Wetcheeks and now there's a fox-cub on the way.
