Yet another song where I heard covers before I heard the original thing, although fortunately not a member of the subset where I thought that the cover was the original thing.

I'm glad you didn't think the cover was the real thing, considering it's Floyd. That would be almost blasphemous. ;-; The only time I've ever made that mistake was with Brand New Key (I thought it was by Rasputina instead of by Melanie) and when I inevitably heard the real thing I felt like a complete idiot, considering it's a 70s song and was #1 on the charts for a while. I still don't know how I missed it.
