Physical Description: Bleu is a small wolf with grey fur, light blue hair and bright green eyes. When not dressed for war, she prefers comfortable, casual clothes, but she almost always carries a sword.
Biographical Data
Bleu rarely talks about her past. It is known that she was born somewhere in the Southern Wilds, a large area of mostly undeveloped forest and windswept plains that is not claimed by any legally recognized government. Her family belonged to a small, semi-nomadic wolf clan who lived in the Wilds until they were wiped out in a war against a rival faction. Bleu was the only survivor of the slaughter and she fled to the island of Viridis for fear her enemies would return to finish the job. She didn't intend to stay on the island for long, but it didn't take her long to make friends there. To her surprise, the people of Viridis were far more accepting of outsiders than the people of her homeland were. It was shortly after she met and fell in love with Fiachra O'Malley that she decided to stay.
Bleu was raised to be a soldier practically from her first breath and, driven by both practical concerns and a desire to make up for failing to protect her family, she has set out to help improve her adopted home. After settling in the rabbit controlled city of Oseille, she set out to establish a militia for the protection of the city. So far, her efforts have yielded only modest results, but the young rabbits under her command are eager and dedicated and she is proud of all of them.
Personal Statement
You want me to talk about myself? Well, that's a switch. Most of my friends tell me I talk to much. Which I suppose I do, sometimes. But you've got to keep yourself occupied somehow, and I can only drill my soldiers for so many hours a day. Well, I call them soldiers. They aren't yet. Not what I'd call soldiers anyway. But they're young and enthusiastic and you'd be surprised at how good a rabbit is at fighting when he has the right sort of motivation. Of course the biggest trick was getting them to stop being afraid of me so we could even make a start. But that's not what you wanted to know, is it?
Well, my name is Alexandria Bleu, but I just go by Bleu usually. Or Captain, if you want to be formal, I guess. I came to Viridis a little more than a decade ago in circumstances that don't bear discussion. Let's just say that the rumor that I steer clear of other wolves is true, but that I have pretty good reasons for it. At least until I know what kind of company they keep. The first person I ever met here was Ciara Lohan. She wasn't queen yet, of course, and I'll swear she was happier then. She saved me from drowning when the boat I was in struck a rock off the coast and she was the one who brought me to Oseille. Say what you like about her, Ciara is one of the best friends I ever had. She was the one who introduced me to Fiachra, too.
It was Fiachra who really saved me. Call it melodramatic if you like, but she gave me a new reason to live and something to do other than brooding over my past. Mostly its been saving her butt from the trouble she gets herself into, but fair's fair, she's done the same for me more times than I can recall. Maybe serving a bunch of rabbits isn't the most glamorous thing in the world for a wolf to do, but maybe I don't care. I'm happier than I've ever been in my life.

I wonder if her history will come out at some point? :) Often times when I develop a character who doesn't talk about their past I like to work out what it is so that I know what they're not talking about. That and it lets me seed in hints.
I know that I really enjoyed playing with Bleu when working on Blue Symphony. She was a lot of fun and a different dynamic altogether working with the Oseille bunch. I hope at some point you find Siobhan useful. :)
Somehow I imagine getting their leaders out of trouble is a common pastime on Viridis. :)

Her history will be examined in more detail in the upcoming novel. It's not the main focus, and I may go back and write a story based on her life before she comes to Viridis. But more about where she came from will be revealed. I do have a lot of her backstory worked out, and whether I go back and write it or just let it seep in bit by bit as appropriate, there's plenty of material to work with.
I'm really glad that you enjoyed working with Bleu. I've always had a lot of fun with her, and I've really enjoyed actually getting to work her into this new project as well. For a character I adopted on a whim, she's really taken off. As for Siobhan, I was actually just thinking that I had a place for her in the new story. It's not a major role, but it's one she'd be a bit better suited to than the character I originally used, too.

I look forward to learning more about her. Of course, you can always do both. Revealing backstory is a fine art, especially in cases where one has carefully kept it concealed for story purposes. :) Doing it well is like a finely spiced meal.
I know that she provided a nice contrast in my mind to General Nessa, helping to set Oseille apart from Cearnach. The two camps ended up having a significantly different flavor, and I look forward to seeing what you think of Blue Symphony 4. :)
