How well do you know your way around your character?

I'm hoping to also do the same thing with arms, legs, body, and wings. Just to see how good I actually am. This is also the very first time I've ever used basic shapes to help guide myself. Normally, it's just total freehand with no refs whatsoever, but I thought I'd give it a try and see how well it works. Turns out, as with most things, I was doing things wrong the whole time! Lovely. c: *shoots self* The basic shapes actually worked out REALLY well to help keep me on track and maintain a sense of volume. Go figure. Like I always say.. things are the way they are for a reason. Primitive shapes really do help. Don't be stubborn like me. Took me years to do stuff that other people knew was important from the get-go.
